I received my August #boxwallabeauty box and it's a good one. The @theboxwalla box introduced the @heartofgold.love . It includes the 'Sea Change Cleansing Balm' ($44), the 'Modern Love Gommage Gel' ($66), and the 'Sweet Briar Hydrating Nectar' ($70). By using all three items you can cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate your skin. I've tried the gommage gel and it left my skin pretty soft. Just let it dry down before you start rubbing it. I received the #Swanicoco Fermentation Peptine Eye Care Cream for a trial fee from #08L in exchange for a review. Thank you @0.8l_usa and @swanicoco.official. 🌟Claims: A light formula eye cream that helps balance the sensitive eye areas 🌟Notable Ingredients: Ginseng Callus Culture Extract, Rice Ferment Extract, and 8 peptides. 🌟Scent: Lavender 🌟Use: After a facewash, take an appropriate amount and spread smoothly around the eyes and the mouth between applying serums/ essences and creams. This is a pretty moisturizing eye cream that contains eight different peptides that help prevent development of wrinkles around the eyes. It also helps brighten the area around the eyes. If you have a problem with developing milia around the eyes I would patch test first. I did get one small hive the first time I used it but after that I had no more issues. I like using it at night since the cream is a bit richer than other eye creams I use. It doesn't irritate my eyes or cause any swelling. Keep in mind that the cream does have lavender and citrus essential oils so if you have a sensitivity to essential oils I would steer clear from this or patch test. I haven't been using this cream long enough to see any reduction of wrinkles around my eyes and honestly I don't have many wrinkles. The cream has helped keep the skin around my eyes moisturized which in turn makes the skin look more plump. This is a nice eye cream and I'm looking forward to see what longer term use does for my skin. Do recommend. I received the #CosDeBAHA BHA Salicylic Acid 4% Exfoliant Serum for free in exchange for a review. Thank you @cosdebaha for letting me test this product. 🌟Claims: A serum that helps fade pigmentation, reduce overall redness, and prevent pimples and blackheads. 🌟Notable Ingredients: Salicylic Acid 4% and Niacinamide. 🌟Scent: None. 🌟Use: After cleansing and toning, apply 1-2 drops of serum at night. This serum comes in a light sensitive plastic container that does feel pretty sturdy. I prefer plastic containers for my skincare since I tend to drop things 😂. I can honestly say that this serum is pretty impressive. When I received the serum I was going through a period of breakouts due to traveling and eating crap food 🙈. I used this serum at night and the next morning my skin looked less irritated and the pimples looked less red and more flat. When you use this serum use only 2-4 drops. The first time I used it I added about 1/4 of the pipette and when I started spreading it on my skin it took longer to absorb. Almost seemed to emulsify on my skin but once I reduced the amount I use I had no more issues. I use the serum right after toner and before essence and it works great. I only use the serum 2-3 times a week since it can cause some dryness due to the salicylic acid. I have not suffered from any irritation or adverse reactions to the serum. The only issue I've come across is a bit of dryness around my nose and mouth and using a facial oil corrected it. I love the fact that this brand is pretty affordable and still has high grade ingredients. They have great range and you can purchase them at their Amazon storefront or at www.cosdebaha.com. If you want a Salicylic acid serum that works, this one is great. Recommend. This gel cream is pretty light and great for the summer months. I prefer using it as a day cream since I prefer to use heavier creams at night. This is a great cream for oily skin types or if you live in a very humid and hot climate. However, it can also work for dry skin types if you want to use it to seal any oils into the skin. Add several drops of water and rub hands together to create a foamy lather. Massage gently about a minute concentrating on blackhead prone areas. Rinse. I have been using this cleanser for about two weeks and I'm very pleasantly surprised. I've used powder cleansers before and they were very drying and irritating to my skin. I read that this one was pretty gentle and I wanted to give it a chance. The cleanser does foam up when you add water but it's a very light dark looking foam and it leaves my skin feeling very clean. Almost squeaky clean which is always a concern with any cleanser but this time it didn't dry out my face 😱. Keep in mind that my skincare type of combo/ dry. What type of trickery is this?🤔. I couldn't believe it but continuous use didn't dry out my skin. I do only use it about 2-3 times per week so I don't overly dry my skin. Word of caution, do not use it with anything you want to keep looking clean. It did stain my Clairsonic brush and it took me about 5 cleanings before it was back to normal. I'm pretty impressed with this cleanser and my skin feels and looks pretty great. So happy I got to try this since I believe I have found my HG powder cleanser. Recommend. Apply a patch to the affected area and gently press adhesive side over blemish, covering completely. Leave on for 12 hours. So I love to use blemish patches. I have been using all types from different brands every since I discovered them. The way the patches work is to serve as a protective barrier from the environment as well as helping suck out any impurities from the blemish. This helps in speeding up healing and keeping the area clean. One thing I love about these patches is how thin they are. Other patches are thicker so they're visible if you use them during the day. These patches are thinner and matte so they blend perfectly into the skin and you can cover them with makeup without any issues. I have used these patches quite a bit due to a bunch of blemishes that I have been dealing with. I used them overnight on an active blemishes and the next morning they were flat. The patches are easier to remove from the plastic backing than other patches I've used, since there's a dotted line and you just tear it apart as you need a patch. The one con I have for these patches is that they only come in one size. The patches are not good for big blemishes, so hopefully Subi will make some larger ones. Zen serum: Chorophyllin-Copper Complex (Floralux), Licorice Root, Lentil seed extract, and Niacinamide. Hydrate Lotion: Floralux, Olive, and Argan Oil. 🌟Scent: No scent or low natural scent. 🌟Use: Cleanser: Dab nickel sized amount into wet skin. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Zen: Apply 2-3 drops to clean skin after any treatment products but before moisturizer and SPF. Hydrate: Use as needed to restore hydration to skin. This is a skincare routine that is geared towards sensitive skin and to help heal and repair skin barrier. My favourite item of the kit is the cleanser. I'm very pleasantly surprised on how gentle this is while still giving you a bit of suds action. It shows a pH of 7, but it's very gentle due to the chamomile and cucumber. It doesn't remove makeup very well but I use an oil cleanser for that. As a second cleanser this is great. Totally recommend. Rating: 5/5 The Zen serum is a green serum that helps with healing and soothing skin. It absorbs quickly and easily into the skin. It's super light and doesn't feel sticky or heavy. It helps with redness but I've not seen much in the way of brightening. It's an okay serum but I have serums I like much more. Rating: 4/5 The hydrate cream is a gel cream that contains argan and olive oil. The cream is a great moisturizer without feeling heavy or clogging my pores. The cream absorbs easily leaving a semi-matte finish. It works well under SPF or foundation without pilling. Really love this cream and a little goes a long way. Will repurchase. Rating: 5/5 I'm really a fan of the products I tried from this brand. Gently massage with fingertips and scrub off cellulose and dead skin cells. Wash off with lukewarm water. Recommended use: 2~3 times a week. I'm a big fan of peeling gels since they're a gentler form of physical exfoliation. This gel is great for helping remove any peeling skin and even out my complexion. The cellulose helps pick up any dead skin and sebum to leave my skin feeling really smooth and clean. After I wash my face I use about a nickel sized amount on my face. I pay extra attention to the areas that develop blackheads or have dry skin. Just be careful not too use too much force as it can irritate the skin a bit. As all Benton products I really like this gel. It's gentle while still doing it's job. Recommend. After 15~20 minutes, peel off the sheet and pat lightly to absorb any remaining essence. This is a tencel sheet mask that's beautifully thin and easily clings to the skin. 10 masks come in each box and it runs at $27 per company website. This is a new brand to me and so far I'm loving it. Each mask comes with 25ml of essence in a thin sheet mask. The mask fits pretty well on my face and I only had to make minor cuts around the eyes but I have to do this with all sheet masks I use. I got about 20 minutes of wear time from this mask and my skin did feel pretty hydrated. I did get a bit of brightness but a lot of the brightening ingredients work best with consistent use. It does leave bit of a tacky finish but it doesn't bother me since I use it at night. All in all it's a good mask, not great but that's due to personal preference. Do recommend. You can also add before moisturizer and let absorb. This serum is great for skin that's a bit irritated or just needs a little TLC. The serum is like a creamy gel containing soothing ingredients, that coats and instantly soothes skin. It is specifically geared for sensitive and dry skin and it's free of artificial dyes and fragrance. I recently started using retinol again and my skin is peeling and suffering from some redness. Using this serum helps instantly cool and soothe my skin while leaving a semi-matte finish. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and plumped even with the peeling and dryness that comes from the retinol treatment. This works perfectly for the summer since I don't like dewy or glowy skincare when it's hot and humid. This is a great serum to use when your skin barrier is compromised and you need some help in healing. Recommend. I received the #LivOnlabs Liposomal Magnesium Threonate for an access fee from #joinpalm in exchange for a review. Thank you @joinpalm and @livonlabs for allowing me to try this. 🌟Claims: Helps increase magnesium levels to promote optimal cognitive function. 🌟Notable Ingredients: 1000 Mg essential phospholipids and 500 Mg Phosphatidylcholine. 🌟Use: As a dietary supplement, take one packet twice a day. Once in the morning and then 2 hours before going to sleep. Squeeze entire contents of packet into 1-3oz of a cool beverage. I've been taking these vitamins for about a week and this is best taken with a flavored drink. The vitamin is the thickest of the Livon vitamins I've taken and I can feel it going down my throat. It doesn't really taste bad but if you have a problem consuming things with texture, this will bother you. I haven't had any side effects from using this vitamin but livon does caution that it may induce sleepiness, drowsiness, or headaches. If this happens please consult a doctor. So far I've not seen any changes in cognition but I haven't experienced any side effects so it's all good 😊. I love these livon labs vitamins and how easy there are to travel with and take.
