istg i hate starting a story with a different bot and end up in the same scenario i wanna cry

i haven't used any bots extensively in a long time (bc you can probably already guess how i am when it comes to consistency lmao. i get bored easily.)

unfortunately there are only random occasions (at least from what i've experienced) where bots actually take initiative when it comes to moving a roleplay forward. sometimes they can have the most randomest shit happening i swear

i'd say from what i've done in the past, you're gonna have to nudge the bot towards a certain direction like doing time-skips, etc. to some idea you wanna do and hope it'll follow suit.

things like adding new characters to the mix, or even your character getting some sort of new thing, etc. to add on to the plot can help. though bot memory is shit, so you also may have to nudge it a bit with reminding it with things. luckily pings are a thing, but you only have 5. you'll have to use it sparingly, or pin and unpin things as you go.

in short:

always do your best to take initiative in the roleplay and hope the bot follows your lead. though it should anyway

My sense of time is fucked. We're already at the tail-end of May even though it feels like the month just started.

Also, I've come to the conclusion that requests will not reopen until probably the end of June. I'd already made a warning on my Discord server, but just in case anyone's unawares:

i was reading about how you started writing and the part about the friend who introduced you to RP reminded me of my story!!!! i used to write with a friend on facebook, where we were both different characters and wrote our stories LMAO this happened in 2016. i swear, sarah from 2016 would be crazy if she knew that i would ended up writing with bots 😭😭😭

Hehe, that's awesome!!! :) I've made so many awesome friends through roleplaying and it's so cool to see other people's ideas, writing styles, etc. It helped me with seeing other perspectives and helped bounce my own ideas around, and kept my brain thinking of different scenarios and other ways to respond to what was happening.
