Childhood maltreatment does not only result in PTSD or C-PTSD. It is tied to many personality disorders, including extremely demonized ones such as NPD and BPD.

Yet for some reason people don’t really seem to think of people with personality disorders as simply traumatized and in need of help, but as incorrigibly broken or inherently evil.

This is especially true if the disorder in question is associated with low empathy, even if not all people with said disorder have that symptom in particular. Having low empathy means that a lot of people will get explicitly genocidal about your existence.

i genuinely think we should have more cross-gender acting in film. i think cis female actors should play cis male characters and vice versa without the characters’ masculinity or femininity being a joke and i think this ought to happen enough that it isn’t a big deal at all. cast timothee chalamet as marie antoinette he can pull it off. let gong li play an emperor. this will be good for everyone, especially me

Fun, sparkly, casual gender nonconformity is awesome and wonderful, but it's also not the only type. Gender nonconformity can be serious, and it should have a respected place in society.

It's not inappropriate for a man to wear a dress to a business meeting. It's not inappropriate for a woman to wear a three-piece suit to a funeral. It's not inappropriate for someone to dress androgynous for an interview. Gender nonconformity is, for many people, just a part of expression. It's not just a performance or a fun weekend thing (although, again, that's good too)!

If gender nonconformity is only viewed as "casual", and is still punished in professional spaces for being "inappropriate", trans, genderqueer and gender nonconforming people will never be free. If you only treat gender nonconformity with respect in drag bars and pride festivals, you don't actually respect gender nonconformity.

So many skinny people will not gain a pound without extremely overeating and barely put in any effort into staying skinny and then they'll assume that that's a universal experience. That fat people must be stuffing their mouths at every moment they're not actively seen by a thin person. That all it takes to be skinny is thirty minutes of yoga a day. They wouldn't be able to fathom the fact that there are naturally fat people or that so many fat people are starving themselves every day but are still fat. They think having a smoothie and going to the gym for an hour three times a week is all it takes to maintain thinness. So the only thing they can think is that fat people MUST be eating a full pizza and ten snacks a day.
