Yaaaaay!! Finally managed to get my grabby hands on vegan cheesy puffs having seen them online awhile back! Oh my goodness they're so good! (I've really missed cheesy puffs, I will admit I did have a bit of a puff addiction pre vegan) plus they are HUGE. If you see them, buy them! Weekly Cat post! This is Nora. 💕 She is a gorgeous ginger kitty and not at all thrilled about me having my phone so close. She is a nervy little girl bless her and such a sweety. Quite happy to sit, out of the way and just watch what you are up to from a distance. Get too close and she's off! She's so pretty and so cute that it is incredibly hard not to try and smoosh her but the wide eyed look on her face as she quickly backs up if you try is so sad that you do find a way not to. Mostly I just say hello and push treats towards her. Even those are looked on with suspicion before being sniffed and eaten. I think she's starting to tolerate me if I don't try to fuss her though, she was rather partial to the posh treats I gave her earlier (they're meant for Looby as she's a big fan of them but how could we not share?!) Nora is around 3 and a bit years old and came to the Bury Stray Cats Fund as a stray with kittens so I don't think very much is known about her past. (I will double check next week though) The kittens were homed and she is still here. She's not feral and isn't as bitey as some (would most likely run or a quick tap with her paw if you were too close) but she is kind of in the 'not suitable for most' categories. I could imagine her in a nice quiet home, perhaps with a window sill all to herself (although she does get on well with John-a black tom cat) so she could chirp at the birds-she does that a lot! An adult home with no sudden movements or loud noises and I bet in her own time she would slowly come closer. I don't think she'll ever really be a lap cat but may be a comfy chair in the same room..eventually...as long as you don't get too close cat. Or she could surprise us and be a big fussy, cuddly cat once in her own space, who knows.
