Idea 26: Friday Night Funkin': Roosterteeth Rumble

I live again! And I'm back with a good ass idea. Roosterteeth Rumble. In this hypothetical mod, you have to fight against the many creations of the controversial Roosterteeth studio. From well known series like RWBY to lesser known icons like Nomad of Nowhere

Plot: I'm gonna rip off the plot of indie cross. BF and GF are minding their own business when suddenly a rift appears in front of them. They fall in suddenly change designs. When they awake, they discover they're in front of beacon academy. After a bit of confusion, team RWBY confront BF and GF and question what they're doing. BF gives Ruby a microphone for some reason. Commence the songs

Background characters: Weiss, Yang, and Blake are chilling near the speakers. Team JNPR are in the background bopping to the track. People you'd expect.

More plot: After the songs are up, BF and GF are sent off again and land in Blood Gulch, in the middle of a confrontation between the reds and blues. BF is wearing blue armor while GF is wearing Red. There's a lot of people to pick from here, so I'll just select two people for story mode and have the rest be free play songs. Here, you face off against Caboose and Sarge

Stage: Blood Gulch

Background characters: Just the Red and Blue team.

Gimmicks: Sarge will try kill BF, so there's a dodge mechanic there

Plot again: Voids back. You get the drill. It's Camp Camp now. BF and GF are in camping uniform and meet the jovial David. The camp is holding a friendly sing off, so BF and GF join. David, for some reason, sees no problem with this.

Stage: A bonfire in Camp Campbell

Background characters: Everyone in the image above

No gimmicks I can think of except for David and BF pulling out guitars in the middle of the song.

Plot again: You know the drill. Void appears again and drags the duo away, plopping them in the middle of the lab. GF is in a lab outfit and BF is wearing a red jacket. It's the Death Battle lab and you're singing against Wiz and Boomstick

Stage: The Death Battle lab. Some battles can be seen in the screen in the background

Background characters: From the screen, you can see multiple death battles. Goku vs Superman, Deadpool vs pinkie, Ben 10 vs hal Jordan. You get the drill. Maybe ringmaster, Jocelyn, and Dummy can make a cameo too.

Plot: Ok, we get it. The void appears again and drops the pair into the desert with cowboy clothes. The duo encounter the Nomad from Nomad of Nowhere along with Toth and Skout. Nomad brings a microphone handed to him by BF to life. Commence the songs

That's where the plot ends. GF and BF get sent back home and think back on their journey.

Triple Trouble: In this song, you have to play as the cast of RWBY and face off against characters from the other shows. Of course, the characters will be mangled up

The Xenophanes parts: In these segments, you'll play as Ruby Rose and sing against the Roosterteeth logo. A giant Rooster with teeth and covered in red crystals.

The tails part: You play as Weiss in this segment. And her opponent will be David from Camp Camp. David, of course, will be a bit mangled up. Missing an arm and his eyes.

The knuckles part: in this part, you'll play as Blake Belladonna and face off against the Nomad. The Nomads been torn to shreds, revealing his Hay insides. He's missing a leg and most of his face is missing

The eggman part: Here, you play as Yang and face off against Michael J Caboose. He's missing his arms, his helmets cracked, and his armor looks busted.

Each character above is filled with pure malice, but snap out of it as the song goes on. Of course, the song represents Roosterteeths less than stellar treatment of their creations

Funkin' Sides (FNF/Sanders Sides mod concept)

As a disclaimer I have absolutely no mod-making experience/motivation so this'll stay as just a concept.

Summary: C!Thomas has lost touch with his singing passion, and it's up to BF to help him regain that confidence. But to do so, he must journey into the Mindscape and confront each aspect of his personality one by one.

This would be a total revamp of all the weeks, with new songs, characters, secrets, and animated cutscenes. Each Core Side will have their own week.

Week T (Thomas)

Song: Personality

Location: Apartment Living Room (real world).

Synopsis: Thomas introduces himself and explains his Sides to BF, deciding to do a warm-up rap battle.

If Personality is finished on Hard, additional dialogue alludes to the Dark Sides and a hint on how to unlock their weeks (but he discourages BF from doing so).

"I wouldn't be too harsh on Patton or Roman. Unless you're prepared for..things you might not wanna see, hear, or experience."

The rest of the weeks and how they'd play out are under cut.

Beware of spoilers for Working Through Intrusive Thoughts and other recent TSides episodes

Week L (Logan)

Songs: Logical, Teacher, Clairvoyance, Ignorance (secret)

Location: Commons Room (Mindscape)

Synopsis: After introducing himself, Logan attempts to add BF's lingo to a flashcard, but discards it upon being questioned. He warns that he's not the most musical Side but tries his best as this serves to help Thomas.

Secret: Typing 01134 during Clairvoyance for the first time interrupts it as Logan becomes confused and annoyed that they're going off-schedule. Asking BF if he's trying to "cheat" and choosing "Yes" (or typing the same code in subsequent playthroughs) in a dialogue prompt angers him and makes the "Orange Side" take over, turning his eyes orange and the screen an orange hue.

Gameplay Mechanics (Orange Notes): During Ignorance, hitting orange arrows shakes the screen and angers BF, making him unable to focus, taking away 10% of his health.

Ignorance is similar to Clairvoyance but set to Very Hard. After beating it, it's permanently available in Freeplay.

Week P (Patton)

Songs: Morals, Pop, Selflessness, Amphibbing (secret)

Location: Nostalgic/Patton's room

Synopsis: Patton greets BF as "kiddo" and gleefully accepts the singing challenge, making a few cheesy puns before they start.

Secret: When Week P is selected after beating it on any difficulty, there's a small chance a frog will be on his shoulder. Clicking on it (a cursor appears when hovering over the sprite) unlocks the song in Freeplay.

Amphibbing Synopsis: In an alternative timeline, this replaces Selflessness. BF apparently caught Patton on a bad day, as he feels distressed over losing. But when he's goaded into a final match, he turns into his giant frog form. He feels guilty but BF apologizes first. The two decide to sing to help him get back to normal.

Week R (Roman)

Songs: Creativity, Passion, Royalty

Location: Mindpalace Theatre (similar to normal Week 1's stage but fancier).

Synopsis: Roman boasts about his own singing abilities and decides to accept BF's challenge, transforming the Commons Room into an extravagant theatre to "set the stage" for this glorious battle. BF also gains a gold microphone like his.

Unique Animations: His expressions get more annoyed as he keeps losing, eventually drawing out his sword as Passion ends and swings it around throughout Royalty.

Post-Royalty Cutscene: In the end he lets his pride go and allows BF to win. Thanks to him he feels confident that Thomas can sing again. And he warns him of "one last hurdle" to jump over.

Week V (Virgil)

Songs: Anxious, Aversion, Acceptance

Location: Virgil's room

Synopsis: Being the natural source of Thomas' low confidence. BF vows to help him regain this, not just to help Thomas but also the anxious Side personally.

Unique Animations: During Anxious and Aversion, Virgil is sitting on the stairs with the whole background being nearly dark, but it becomes progressively brighter. During Acceptance, he is more confident and smiles, standing up. His eyeshadow also becomes a shimmering lavender color.

Secret Week/Week R̶̤͎̾̎ͅ (Remus)

Songs: Intrusive, Repent, Nightmare

Criteria: Beating Royalty on Hard.

Location: Mindpalace Theatre (destroyed)

Synopsis: Remus knocks out Roman and turns the stage into a nightmarish version. He claims it's his turn to "have some fun" and makes an obligatory "blue balls" joke before beginning.

Gameplay Mechanics (Unpredictability): Due to Remus' world-manipulating nature, he can hinder BF's progress in several ways:

Intrusive (Tentacle): An octopus tentacle randomly throws trash across the screen as a distraction. Items can hit BF's icon and lower his health by a small amount.

Repent (Vine Notes): Notes wrapped in bloody vines take away 20% of BF's health if hit.

Nightmare (Intrusive!GF): In addition to the above, an illusion of GF is made (similar to Nico from WTIT) as a last-ditch effort, draining BF's health by 0.5% when it's Remus' turn. Both him and the GF share the same vocals and poses. The illusion gradually fades near the song's end.

All (Creepy Atmosphere): The lower BF's health is, the darker/greener the screen overlay becomes.

Secret Week/Week J (Janus)

Songs: Deception, Lies Lies Lies, Selfishness

Criteria: Beating Selflessness on Hard

Location: Garden of Eden (imaginary)

Synopsis: Janus tries misleading BF into thinking Thomas is using his singing talent for his own personal gain. But when BF isn't persuaded Janus decides to test him and see how well he's done.

Gameplay Mechanic (Hungry Snake): Occasionally, a gold snake will "eat" a portion of BF's side of the health bar, slowly stretching towards him. The player would have to keep the icon away from the serpent's mouth or else it's an instant game over. During Selfishness the snake may stretch to consume 90% of the health bar

Story: Boyfriend and Girlfriend are robot masters. Mega Man goes through a level and meets boyfriend and girlfriend at the end. Instead of a regular fight, bf wants a rap battle

Idea 13: Friday night funkin vs one punch man

Plot: the boyfriend and girlfriend are suddenly in the one punch man universe. While there, they encounter saitama and genos. Girlfriend's demon side pops out and genos immediately hops into action, but saitama stops him and tells him to chill out because they weren't hurting anyone. Boyfriend challenges saitama to a rap battle. He declines at first but eventually agrees

Location: one of the cities. We'll just say Z-city

Background characters: bang and king standing on the sidewalk. Tatsumaki floating around. fubuki and some if the blizzard group also on the sidewalk. speed-o-sound sonic lurking on a building. Mumen rider occasionally riding by. And a few monsters just bopping to the beat

Cameo characters: Shaggy, Scooby, Matt, and Kirby just hanging out.

More plot: saitama suddenly has to leave. He and genos were out earlier because there was a bargain sale going on and saitama completely forgot. He drops he mic and rushed over. After he bolts, genos gets pissed at boyfriend and girlfriend. He accuses them of disturbing his sensei on purpose. Boyfriend tries to convince him otherwise, initiate rap battle

Songs: demon cyborg

Incinerate

Even more plot: saitama returns with an upset look. He completely missed the bargain sale. There were monsters in the way and they all distracted him. While he finished the monsters easily, he still missed the sale. Boyfriend offers to rap battle to help saitama vent his frustrations, and saitama accepts. Yeah, this is the hard one.

Final song: serious series: serious rap

Yeah, this song will have a gimmick. I dunno what it'll be though. Maybe he raps so hard more notes suddenly appear. Or maybe we can just take the shaggy route and add more notes to press. Either way, this is gonna be a test for your fingers

Idea 24: Friday night funkin vs Timmy Turner

I made one for Danny, might as well throw in an idea for Timmy

Plot: there's a singing competition happening in Dimmsdale and Timmy wants to win. However, he's a bit out if practice and he knows that he can't cheat with his fairies. So he does the next best thing.

"I Wish I had somebody to help me practice my singing!"

After their godchild makes the wish, Cosmo, Wanda, and grant his wish. And so appears the boyfriend and girlfriend. Timmy explains what's happening and boyfriend offers to help him practice.

Location: Dimmsdale. Outside if Timmy's house.

Background characters: Timmy's parents are on the porch jamming to the music. Mr crocker is hiding in the bushes ready to capture Timmy's fairies. Vicky is just being Vicky on the sidewalk. Trixie and Veronica are jamming on the sidewalk watching the rap battle. Chester and AJ are vibing next to the pink and green speakers that have faces. And Timmy's microphone is purple, which is Poof. Lastly, Danny Phantom is jamming in the sky just watching the battle

Friday night funkin is pretty much the Mugen of rhythm games at this point

Plot: boyfriend and girlfriend are going about their day until, all of a sudden, Deadpool appears. He's been payed to off the boyfriend, girlfriend, and the girlfriends parents. Who sent them? Mod characters that are still pissed off at them and their parents, like Tabi. Boyfriend challenges Deadpool to a funky rap and he happily agrees.

Location: There's a plenty of locations to choose from, so let's just go with Central Park

Background characters: Bob, Jeff the land shark, Gwenpool, lady death, cable, wolverine, weasel, and blind Al

Songs: Maximum effort

Healing factor

Wall breaker

Bonus details: throughout the songs, Deadpool is screwing with the player. Things like covering up their side of the screen or shoving his symbol forward on the bar. Nothing too extreme....until song 4

More plot: Deadpool gets pissed off and pulls out the continuity gem. He's completely rigging the rap battle in his favor. Now boyfriend needs to rap against someone who controls continuity

Final song: reality breaker

In this song, Deadpool is completely messing with the player so he can gain victory. Cutting the victory bar in half, adding notes out of nowhere, maybe flipping controls. Remember that one image of shaggy that had fire notes and stuff like that? It's pretty much that except way less difficult

Alternatively: either this or just mod him over anyone else. Seriously, mod him over any character and it pretty much fits. Especially with mommy mearest.

Hey, if Monika can get in then so can he. We always talk about Monika and senpai being siblings, we might as well give them extended family

Plot: The boyfriend and girlfriend were walking until they come across a dojo. They go inside and meet Dan Hibiki. He tries to convince the boyfriend and girlfriend to sign up to his dojo. Initiate the rap battle

Location: the inside of Dan Hibiki's dojo.

Background characters: chilling inside the dojo are Dan's best friends Sakura and Jimmy (more commonly knows as Blanka)

Crossover cameos: Monika and senpai are also chilling in the dojo

More plot: Dan loses his temper more and more through each song, and he doesn't know why. But he gets his answer when a demonic energy starts bursting out of him.

Idea 22: Friday Night Funkin vs The Doomslayer

Story: the girlfriend decides to take the boyfriend for a lovely walk...in the pits of hell. While there, they meet the Doomslayer murdering demons left and right. He spots the girlfriend in her demon form and makes it clear he wants to kill her. Boyfriend objects to that and challenges the slayer to a rap battle

Location: Hell. Just Hell

Background characters: in the burning real of hell, you'll see Cacodemons floating around enjoying their day. You may also see some cyberdemons going on a nice walk. Some imps are also bopping to the hellish tunes. The background characters are pretty much just demons from the doom series.

Cameo characters: the background dancers from week 4 are there too.

Curious, boyfriend and girlfriend knock on the door and meet the helltaker and his demon harem. Helltaker offers them pancakes and invites them in. shenanigans ensue. Initiate rap battle

Idea 21: Friday night funkin vs The angry videogame nerd

Plot: the nerd was reviewing games as per usual. All is regular until the boyfriend and girlfriend warp into the room. The Nerd gets confused and tells them to fuck off, but is suddenly Challenged to a rap battle

Location: the boyfriend and nerd rap in the nerds main gaming room with the girlfriend sitting on the couch. That's right, her speakers aren't providing the music. It's being provided by the Guitar Guy who's rocking out behind the couch.

Background characters: there's a lot of characters from the avgn-verse so I'll try to think of who I can. Shit pickle and the glitch gremlin are bopping to the music on some of the shelves. R.O.B is bopping on the table. Board James, bugs bunny, the bullshit man, and Mr Rigs are bopping behind the couch. And, to top it all off, the guitar Guy is jamming right behind the couch providing some of the music

An attempt at dialogue. Forgive me if I'm not great at this.

The boyfriend and girlfriend were walking down central park until a man clad in red and black hopped in front of them

"ya know, it's about time someone modded me into something like this. Gotta say, the art is much better than the things marvel is pushing out nowadays"

Not knowing what to say, boyfriend and girlfriend just stared before one of them spoke up.

"Um, who are you and what are you talking about?" Asked the girlfriend

The man clad in red looked at them and laughed

"Really? You haven't heard about me? Come on! You had to have seen my movie at least!"

She shook her head "nope"

"Well, whatever. Makes my job easier"

*Deadpool takes out a pistol and water gun filled with holy water, aiming at the boyfriend and girlfriend respectively. The boyfriend and girlfriend were a bit scared and slightly confused about the water gun*

"I'll make this quick. You two have pissed a whole lotta people off. Well, mainly blue balls over there did. Then there's the dearest family. Hoo boy! They're a hot mess and a half! So, a few people came to me and gave me a massive payday to kill you off. So if any of you have something to say, do it now"

Both were freaking out more and couldn't really think of anything. That was until boyfriend came with a microphone in his grab and a determined look on his face

"Beep"

The mercenary puts his guns down

"A rap battle? Eh, why not? This rhythm games isn't really giving me another option. If you beat me, you can go. Prepare for the greatest bars you'll hear yet"

While slightly confused about the rhythm game bit, the boyfriend was determined to save his girlfriends life through the power to funky rapping

After song 1: Deadpool claps his hands "Gotta say, for a kid who sings like a broken calculator you did pretty good. But don't think that'll help ya"

"beep bop bo-bap"

"Took the words out my mouth"

After song 2: Deadpool was starting to look agitated "Ok, so you've made it through song two. It happens. I ain't mad. I'm completely cool"

"bep ba bop"

"ok kid, we get it. You speak calculator. At least speak to me in English kid. The creator of this rhythm game said you could"

"boop bop"

"...Just start round three already"

After song 3: All was silent before Deadpool started chuckling. And chuckling. Then it turned into full on laughter "Ya know, people often joke about people who rap against you get more and more agitated with each song, but now I'm starting to see why they get like that after rapping with you. That beeping gets old real fast. You wanna play that way? Fine, let's play that way"

Deadpool reaches into his pocket and fishes out a purple gem that glows brighter and brighter. As it glows, the park around him starts to crack. It's not just the arena. It seems like the players screen was cracking too

"This game is starting to get boring. Let's add some new conditions"

"B-beep?"

"I wasn't talking to you. Well, not completely" he looks right at your screen "Hey player! Seems like you want this guy to win pretty badly. Understandable, but I really want that pay day. Prepare your fingers. Or at least what'll be left of them. BRING THE NOISE!!!"

Idea 20: Friday night funkin vs GLaDOS

Plot: GLaDOS was doing tests as usual but is then interrupted when boyfriend and girlfriend enter their room (using they because I feel like they'd use that pronoun). GLaDOS questions why they're here and gets a "beep" in response. While they're here, GLaDOS decides to research them. And possiblity murder them in the process. Initiate funky rap

Location: The lab of GLaDOS

Idea 19: Friday night funkin vs retsuko

I saw a post asking when a mod would come out for aggretsuko and decided to throw in my idea for a hypothetical aggretsuko mod. I binged the series for this

Plot: "Back again. Party of three?"

The usual gang is there, along with Haida and fenneko this time around

(I'm throwing in Haida and fenneko for the hell of it. I can't just not include them)

"Party of five"

They go to their booth as two more people enter the karaoke club

"Two new faces. Party of two?"

"...Beep"

"...I'll take that as a yes"

The figures are revealed to be boyfriend and girlfriend. They prepare to enter their booth but are stopped when they hear someone screaming from another booth. You can see where this is going

Location: the karaoke booth. See the image above

Background characters: Haida and fenneko are jamming out behind fenneko. Gori and Washimi are sitting next to the girlfriend and bopping their heads

Idea 18: Friday night funkin vs chip skylark

Look at that, I was able to find an image with a microphone. He might as well be modded in. He's already posing while singing like fnf characters do.

Plot: The boyfriend and girlfriend go to a concert featuring Chip Skylark. They're enjoying the concert before they're suddenly called up on stage to sing with chip skylark, as if they were magically chosen to perform with him. Ok, I won't beat around the bush here. Timmy was there and wished the concert was even better, which resulted in bf and gf going up on stage.

Location: a large stage, preferably the one where Chip sang Icky Vicky or shiny teeth and me.

Background characters: Timmy with his fish bowl carrying Cosmo, Wanda and poof. His parents, chester, aj, Sanjay, and Elmer.
