Cowboy Bebop (カウボーイビバップ Kaubōi Bibappu?) is a critically acclaimed and award-winning 1998 Japanese anime series written by Keiko Nobumoto, directed by Shinichirō Watanabe, and produced by Sunrise. Its 26 episodes (“sessions”) comprise a complete storyline: set in 2071, the series follows the adventures, misadventures and tragedies of five bounty hunters, or “cowboys”, travelling on their spaceship, the Bebop.
The series explores several concepts involving philosophy, including existentialism, loneliness, and existential ennui.
The series' art direction centers on American music and counterculture, especially the beat and jazz movements of the 1940s–1960s and the early rock era of the 1950s–1970s, which the original soundtrack by Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts recreates.[1]

naomi & goro - Goodbye HOME
Cover of “Goodbye” by a Japanese bossa duo.
“Goodbye” is a song written by Paul McCartney (but credited to Lennon-McCartney) and performed by Mary Hopkin. It was released on 28 March 1969, and it reached No. 2 in the UK singles chart, prevented from reaching the top position by the Beatles’ single “Get Back”.[1] In the U.S., the song reached No. 13 on the singles chart.
The song was produced by Paul McCartney and arranged by Richard Hewson.

Urban Zakapa - 봄을 그리다 01
The regular pop crowd will call this boring, but ballads aren’t about catchy synths and attractive idols. They are songs meant to express emotion; often in candid and intimate ways. What’s great about this song is that there are only two instruments: the piano and the voice. We sometimes forget that beauty often comes out of simpleness. This song is a fine example of that.

安藤裕子 (Yuko Ando) - 林檎殺人事件(Feat.池田貴史) 大人のまじめなカバーシリーズ
A little happy video of the day for me. I don’t know much about this song, but using my Google-fu, it’s a cover of an old Japanese song by Hiromi Go and another woman (who is featured in the music video). Although Hiromi Go is a legitimate singer, the two seemed to be a comedic duo. The cover is by Yuko Ando and Rekishi.

Yes, that’s right!  Straight out of the Tokyo Game Show, Konami has finally - finally - announced an all-new Gensosuikoden title!
Here’s the announcement from 4Gamer.  According to a translation from those fine folks at the Suikosource forums, this new installment in our favorite series is called “Gensou Suikoden: Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki,” which literally translates to “Gensou Suikoden: The Time of 100 Spun Years”.  It’s another handheld title, this time for the PSP.  Disappointingly, it’s another story in the Million Worlds/Infinity, as introduced in Tierkreis.  Still, we can hope it will be a bit more creative than Tierkreis was.

Come a little bit closer Hear what I have to say Just like children sleepin' We could dream this night away. But there's a full moon risin' Let's go dancin' in the light We know where the music's playin' Let's go out and feel the night. Because I'm still in love with you I want to see you dance again Because I'm still in love with you On this harvest moon. When we were strangers I watched you from afar When we were lovers I loved you with all my heart. But now it's gettin' late And the moon is climbin' high I want to celebrate See it shinin' in your eye. Because I'm still in love with you I want to see you dance again Because I'm still in love with you On this harvest moon.
Wow. I like this a lot better than the Poolside cover.
On another note, I find it funny that I got to know Neil Young’s song based on my fandom of the Harvest Moon videogame.

Genki Rockets - Flow No Boarder Between Us
A track from Genki Rockets’ newest album which is also featured in Child of Eden, a game created by Tetsuya Mizuguchi who is also known for Rez as well as Lumines. Aside from a few qualms, I enjoy Genki Rockets’ music and their fantastical nature. I recommend checking out the rest of their album!

Norikazu Miura - Into a World of Illusions (Original composer Miki Hagashino) Genso Suikoden V Original Soundtrack
Hearing this at the end of Suikoden V was bittersweet. Actually, all of Suikoden V was bittersweet considering I played it after the announcement that the original development team had disbanded.
For those who don’t know, this song is heard in the first two installments of the game series, Suikoden, with this particular song at the ending of the fifth and final game (not counting Tierkreis).  Suikoden is a game that centers around the theme of war and the struggles of those who try to overcome it with a hopeful confidence and desire for peace.
