I decided to make a Triple Flowey comic, a retelling of the Flowey Answers event. I’ve been wanting to for a while, since my flower style has changed a lot since that event and there are details that were never really mentioned (like the reason why Shifter started killing). I don’t have much time to draw, but flowers are easy and I can plan things out while at school, so it should be fine. But for now, here’s a couple of teaser pages!

Edit: April fools! … Though it is still a thing I want to do so it ended up sounding a bit too genuine. Whoops.

Are any of these projects online that we can follow?

((The school-related stuff isn’t available online, but my personal projects are! I’m not great at updating it, but I have a twitter for my game development stuff over here! (I’ll try to get better at updating it.)

There’s also my personal tumblr, if you want to follow my art and non-project stuff in general. I do have a game development tumblr, but I just use it for big announcements and news rather than progress reports.

And of course, for flower-related things there’s Shifter’s blog, Emotion-Liar, which I still hope to be able to update every once in a while. I can’t promise anything there, though.))

The Genocide Run: Alternate Events

Howdy! The Genocide Run is the biggest event I've held, and just like with Triple Flowey, it had a long length and lots of moving parts -- as such, thanks to the influence of askers, several things ended up changing or not happening! So, let's take a look at the things that went unused!

To start with, the event was not supposed to be this long or take so much time. I realized when I started it that something everyone glosses over is how much time the genocide route takes. Having it be over with in just two or three posts just doesn't do it justice, so I decided the human would have to spend some time in each area.

Somehow, I did this without realizing it would make the event much longer than originally planned. Whoops...

As for changes -- this event was rather hands-off for me. I deliberately left the progression in the hands of askers, and only planned for what could happen should they fail to interfere.

For example, had the askers not gotten through to Flowey, he would not have helped Sans in his fight. Instead, Flowey would have held another intermission - it's because this didn't happen that Genocide Part 2 is so much longer than Part 1.

As well, Flowey was not going to catch onto the human's true nature until Asgore was dead. He would have just watched them kill Asgore, planning to let the human take his soul, but they would instead have cut the soul in half and destroyed it - this is what would make Flowey realize it wasn't Chara.

Had he come to this realization on his own at any point, Flowey would have confronted the human and demanded to know who they really were, leading to this scene.

The player would then say their real name, "the name they had used for their first playthrough".

The following fight would play out very differently. Flowey would be cornered in the throne room for his fight, and Sans would already be dead. This meant Flowey would have to kill the player on his own, and change his tactics all the time since the human would adapt to everything he could do. It also meant he would not be able to easily escape or lead the human away, as they could reset his position by loading.

There was no plan for Flowey winning. I left it completely to the askers, as without their help it was an impossible task. Had the human killed Flowey, they would have erased the world, and the following posts would be of the youtube video they had recorded. Unlike the forum comments, the youtube video would have someone mention and link the blog, upset at what the human had done.

Other than these tidbits, not much was planned, so let's instead take a look at Flowey's unused items!

The mushroom power-up essentially gave Flowey one free hit, where instead of losing health, he'd lose the mushroom. So, it had basically the same use as the flower-shaped lamp, but automatic! Suffice to say this would have been very important had Flowey been alone. (It was also considered for the Sans montage, with Sans using it, but was cut)

Here's Flowey's 1-soul form! Taller, thornier and with a more versatile skill set. Probably no fire powers, though. I quite wanted him to absorb the soul, but there was never an opportunity for it.

Suffice to say, by badgering Flowey until he listened and making sure he teamed up with Sans, as well as giving him the idea to drop the human into the CORE, you all managed to get the best ending and won an almost unwinnable scenario. Great job!

Is this still alive because the series someone did on YouTube about it says DISCONTINUED so I’m just a bit confused

The dub someone was making of it is discontinued, however. It’s a shame, but what can you do? I really would have liked to hear the voices for Pointy and Shifter… and for that trickster Flowey, haha. Ooh, and the Human.))
