Bricks of Teeth and Tongue
I cringe at the bars you rattle in the cage I’ve begun to unlock
I’m escaping and for some damned reason you insist on clutching the folds of my clothes in some sort of depressive way of giving up.
But my determination presses me on daily and I pick and pick at my lock,
the skin around my fingernails peeled and raw.
Today you got my attention, arduously I listened to you complain again. Just like you always do.
You complain and complain about things others wouldn’t bat an eyelid at.
Why are you so comfortable in the cage you hurl curses so freely at.
