Anonymous asked: do you accept on a rolling basis or do you accept apps on certain days?
I typically stick to a rolling basis! I like to give myself a chance to review them, and then usually accept them once I do. If I know there will be an influx, I might wait a little longer as to get them in one go. At the moment however, our app count is at zero.

Sustaining The Spread
Looking inward, The Capitol appears thriving even when war brews. Issues seem superficial at best. Fabrics for fine clothing have been limited; veal prices have skyrocketed. Volume always increases behind closed doors. And like those within The Districts, the citizens of the city feel torn when it comes to loyalty. Many want their old norms to return and miss the loud or quiet luxuries they consumed. Others suddenly have questions they never had before.
Holos have lit up with information from loyalists on The Capitol's side and detractors who show favor of The Rebellion. It's a lot to consume. For some, it brings a similar rush as The Hunger Games. For others, it instills a fear of what's to come. And others? Well, it's not common to hear the great citizens of Panem to have something negative to say about their dear President Coriolanus Snow. However, as the airwaves get saturated more and more everyday, residents of The Capitol seem more inclined to speak on the materials broadcasted.
Corduroy Falto reacted to Gloss Resplendence's propo
Cord had just stirred the last remnants of his instant coffee when the familiar ding of a Capitol-sanctioned message came from his television. He barely looked up as he followed the familiar, well-worn path from his kitchen counter to the couch. The man turned up the volume as he missed the first few seconds of the broadcast, taking his first sip of his drink, eyebrows furrowed together. Gloss seemed calculated as he told Caesar he was shocked by the death. He wondered if the double meaning referred to the way Gleam and the mayor were murdered. Did any of the Victors face threats leading up to the killing ? Was Gloss doing damage control right now, or perhaps just reiterating his loyalty as to save himself ? Gloss' quiet, considerate ( perhaps calculated ) way of speaking intrigued Cord. He wondered if the Victor would be interested in a conversation. An interview would be too much, especially when Cord wasn't sure what he wanted to make of a potential meeting. Hmm. He'd have to ask around and see how far he could get.
Eris Harrington reacted to Johanna Mason's propo
Wine glass in hand, Eris glanced at the screen when she heard the unfortunately familiar voice of Johanna Mason. She had never been one of Eris's favorites when it came to the Victors, she had never played nice with Eris, and quite frankly Eris had hoped that she lay dead somewhere. It was a pity. She raised the glass of wine to her lips as she watched as the woman droned on. Of course Eris had heard the rumors that Johanna spoke of, but what was the point? Did the rebels think that they were going to win by outing common secrets to the public? It was a sad attempt, in her opinion, to sway the public to their side. Sob stories and secrets they were trying to out wasn't going to win them a war. Her father had taught her that a long time ago. She had learned from her mother and stepmother that keeping the status quo was paramount. Eris wasn't going to allow Johanna Mason or the rebels breaking into the Capitol airwaves to change anything. Eris lifted her remote and turned the screen off before Johanna had the chance to finish. Eris had work to do.
Livia Snow reacted to Mags Flanagan's propo
When her news feed is interrupted and an image of that old wench from Four, of all people, disturbs her time alone in a Penthouse secured strictly for her more *unsavory* endeavors, Livia can only let out a huff of irritation. But she can’t help the way she’s nearly glued to the screen, rolling her eyes as Mags makes what sound like some of the most dramatic statements in the world — really, she could win an award with those acting skills if she weren’t so insufferable and hideously aged. “What a sad little woman.” The comment leaves her easily with an eerie nonchalance, as if a propo accusing her husband of heinous crimes followed by a threat to their family, coming from the depths of a previously unknown district, is just an everyday occurrence. And as if she’s simply agitated by it all and nothing more, Livia glares at the dutiful Avox standing silently in her presence and forced to listen to her off-color ramblings. “She’s always been ungrateful, that one. As if Coriolanus has got anything to do with her malfunctioning vocal chords. Perhaps if the districts invested more in medical care for their people!” No mind is paid to the fact that the very person she’s spewing her ridiculous claims to has, in fact, been forced into silence at the hand of her husband. If she knows what she’s doing, Livia doesn’t care. Instead, she pushes her newly empty wine glass into the Avox’s chest and tries to ignore the shake of her hands. *For you there is no redemption.* “Fetch me another — and I’ve already told you, keep them coming!”
Marius Sequin reacted to Cecelia Whitvale's propo
Usually Marius wasn't all too invested in the gossip-forums and speculation video's or assumption interviews. War was bad, that was the general point. Of course Lydia would make sure he saw it when she was around to force it on him. If not, she would tell him all about it later. Quite annoying. Head titled to the side though and his eyes formed a subtle squint at the next video presented. The question caught him off guard. *Captive of the Capitol*. He could see why some people were questioned due to the rebellion but actual captivity seemed like something they'd only do when there were threats involved. Gloss wasn't captured after all. Besides, her being in a rebel-video only proved that the assumptions of her being a danger to the state were valid. And then her answers made him scoff in disbelief. The things she described seemed to him like a product of wild imagination. The contradiction of 'not having any information' and now being on the rebels' side was bemusing. It made him wonder how stupid these rebels thought the people they were reaching out to were. It was what he had gathered in most of these clips; a bunch of contradictions that didn't add up. Oh well - at least he made a lot of money out of this one.
Portia Lux reacted to Natalia Morrissey's propo
Natalia popping up on her television screen was not something that Portia anticipated. the "Eww" of digust that came out of her mouth was not either. The victor looked bad, and Portia was left wondering who had allowed her to even appear on screen like that. Portia would never let any of the people she styled go on screen looking like that. But they were in a war after all. Maybe Natalia's standards had slipped. But then she started talking about her daughter, and Snow. Then it clicked in her mind. She hadn't technically seen any of the films herself, having spent a lot of time locked up. But with how Natalia was talking, it was clear that she was talking for the rebellion. Portia bit her lip as she watched the screen. The tears. It was hard. No wonder the woman looked awful. But that was still no excuse for letting her go on the screen looking that way. Unless that had been the entire point? Portia wasn't sure how she truly felt watching the screen. Natalia's pain was clear to see. But it didn't truly change the one thing that Portia had clear in her mind. If Snow was going around killing people, then she'd made the right choice that day on the stage.
Xiomara Pena reacted to Cadence Kentwell's propo
It seemed the parties were further apart and fewer to come as the people of the Capitol actually began to worry about the rebellion. And so she’s home - or at least at her apartment in the capitol, halfway through her second bottle of wine for the night, when whatever rerun of some capitol reality tv show was interrupted. She had reached for her remote, but froze when Cadie’s face took center stage on her screen. She huffed, rolling her eyes. Were they purposefully targeting her with Cadie? She’d heard whispers about the screenings the last time they’d happened. They all hadn’t seen Cadie last time and now she was being blasted with Cadie again? It couldn’t be a coincidence. She’s ready to ignore it, halfway to her kitchen to refill her glass of wine when Cadie spoke her brother’s name. She froze, only moving to glare at the picture of Cadie on her screen. How dare Cadie talk about Nero as if she actually knew him, or how much he meant to anyone. That was her brother, not Cadie’s. He hadn’t meant shit to Cadie, or so she’d told herself over and over for years. Anger and rage was easier than forgiveness and empathy. There was a ringing in her ears as she bit the inside of her cheek, willing the water on her lash line to disappear, to go away. No one was watching, but she refused to let the fucking rebellion to be the reason she cried for the first time in years. No, instead she turns back to her kitchen, pours herself that next glass of wine and downs it, wiping angrily at her eyes.
Coriolanus Snow reacted to Cressida Astor's propo
Coriolanus Snow recalled the propo interruption last night. The rebels could not infiltrate his personal devices. Nevertheless, he had seen it when visiting Senator Randal Kentsworth's manor. The poor fool turned white as a passing phantom. Pathetic, the President remarks to his daughter Corina Snow-Pratt. "Which traitor was it, father? Those from The Districts are beasts that cannot be trusted." "Miss Cressida Astor actually. Somehow the insurgents forget her fine lineage. How she became so ungrateful and unforgiving is beyond me," he remarks. Mommy and Daddy Dearest might be able to buy her out of the punishments she will receive. That is if they prove they aren't guilty by association. "What did she say?" Corina asks pryingly. Sitting around spending his earned money must be becoming monotonous. "She felt it was important that the citizens of Panem saw what was happening in the Capitol," he quotes effortlessly. "All they did was present how the detractors would prefer dangerous criminals within their ranks, my dear. No matter, they will continue to implode on themselves."
Coriolanus Snow intends to ensure Thirteen implodes. He tasks Kyan Maddox, a gamemaker from One, with making a propo to air. It's a test, one that at first comes with a slight paranoia. It's one that will be failed.
Day eighty-three: hovercrafts owned by The Capitol zoom overhead at approximately 1330. They intervene with airways, as they slowly drop encased toxins. While rather safe for human life, it's detrimental to soil and plant life.
Screens without the authority of District Thirteen light up. There's footage that hasn't been aired since before the first Quarter Quell. It's of the underground district; it's some graphite miners turned soldiers. There's an eerie coolness, long edited into the footage before Kyan ever touched it. They appear neither Capitol nor District, just that they want to not be a part of any of it. There appears to be an unspoken, inherent explanation of why Thirteen never bothered helping the other twelve Districts in decades.
There are flashes of nuclear power and equipment, perhaps the first time The Capitol ever acknowledges what else Thirteen was good for before the First Rebellion. Murmuring is heard around facilities as familiar faces of generations past appear. Ellen-Dean & Garlin Coin, Rodrick Boggs, Fleana & Kavendish Jackson, Alderidge Aurelius, Dalma Flint, Nicholas Benning, Menander Baskus, Juliard Toile, and countless others make appearences. Soldiers and death litter the screens in black and white, and lots of red.
It seems over. Minutes go by. There's soft shaking felt within the hidden District. Nobody's evacuating though, leaving some confused. Kyan Maddox had informed Thirteen's officials on the fact the propos were meant to distract the District as The Capitol attempted to corrupt the earth that surrounds it to deplete soil resources and ultimately, significant nourishment. Thirteen is prepared.
But just as tension begins to dissipate, screens become active once again.
The first true celebrity of The Hunger Games carries on feasting as many tributes die of starvation in the eleventh year. Soon Natalia Morrissey is shown easily stabbing another with a fisher's knife just for trying to find refuge from the tide by holding onto her. People watch as a ghost alive as ever wields a sword right above a final victim during the forty-third Games. Next, the face of a young tribute from three watching cooly as a career pack of children become electrocuted without mercy.
A man living up to his nickname is shown decapitating two of the final tributes of his Games. The scenes cut faster here. In it's unabashed similarities, a lot of faces have been withheld given the executions twenty victors faced. A force field is used to kill a young woman. Next a woman from Five showboating around the arena. It continues to get more grizzly. A man holding an axe causes the collapse of a bridge, which takes many lives in its descent downwards. A doll-faced tribute gets drenched in more and more blood as she stabbed the male from Two like it's nothing.
Flashforward a few seconds and a ruthless boy slaughters helpless children with a shiny, new trident. There's a feral cat-like woman ripping out their last enemy's throat. Then it goes to another orphan from Two, who heartlessly slit the throat of her fellow man from her home district.
Blink and soon a forgotten face from three gets stabbed while trapped underwater and the culprit swims away. The bloodbath catalyst of the seventy-first Games graces right after, showing impeccable axe skills. The only thing out of order is the Quarter Quell pops up second to last. A middle-aged man guy towers over a blonde as he shamelessly cuts away at her forearm. It's no coincidence that the seventy-fourth Games gets skipped. The propaganda footage ends with two eventual newlyweds holding berries. The sight cases a howling scream from a present day Peeta Mellark within Thirteen.
Scenes had been stitched meticulously and aired. But in a straight response to the propo that played at Flickerman's afterparty, words splay out on a now otherwise black screen: Enough is enough. There are only two ways to cease the war. Reunite with Panem, or face the consequences.
At 1430, President Alma Coin makes an announcement. She states the following:
"The Capitol has attacked Thirteen once again. Intel from our fellow rebels within The Capitol meant we had some warning prior. We were informed Snow ordered an attack on our land, specifically our crops. Because of the warning prior, most of our resources remain. The only sector compromised was the legumes. Rations might be tighter until we can compensate, but we are resilient, and this will not hold us back. Do not fall worrisome at the propoganda spewed our way by Coriolanus Snow. This is a minor setback, and we will not be bullied into submission. The Capitol can only do so much when so many citizens of Panem are waking up. Thank you for remaining calm during the onslaught. Duties on schedule will resume promptly at 1600. Good day."
Kyan Maddox won't be the only one seen as a sympathizer to The Rebellion. Constantinus Snow has also relayed information to President Coin and other head Thirteen officials. For over twenty days, the District has held Calista Hearting and Sarah Kline under arrest. Information had been leaked to The Hearting and Kline families. Following the events of the attack on Thirteen by The Capitol, Coin, Plutarch Heavensbee, and others discussed how to move forward with the captives.
Calista Hearting's family has expressed concern for their sole remaining child. Nevertheless, they've turned their cry to a whisper. Instead, they double down on their loyalty with The Capitol. They're a fond family with strong ties to the weaponry industry. Soon Cato's sister and her name are spoken in hushed voices. If there is intention to place effort in putting forth a ransom, it's unclear. Thirteen tells the woman from Two that her family has expressed a lack of care instead. She'll remain in her cells for now, until she ideally breaks. Until then, she will be made to make and transcribe the same set of pro-Rebellion posters.
Sarah Kline's family differs. They actively show disconcern about the escort for District Four. An artificially generated version of her has been used for Good Morning Panem. Everything seems to go on like usual, with or without Sarah Kline. Nobody suggests lying to this captive. Rather she's bluntly told on the morning of day eighty-four of the Rebellion the truth. She's released into the general public that morning, and will be spending most of her time following a busy schedule of chores, specifically laundry and dishes.
Apart from some dazed soldiers, things almost feel unaffected. Without informants, the state of Thirteen would have been severely more threatened. Those in the kitchen are the first to notice the newfound lack of legumes however. There are concerns aired over some, if not many, rebels becoming discouraged by the reduction in rations. Thirteen has remained committed to taking in refugees; the door remains open and the worry is if/when sustenance becomes truly lacking.
The evening of day eighty-four, President Coin announces the upcoming mission to District Four. It will take place in seven days, ninety-one days after the arena breakout. They've asked for volunteers in an effort to provide aid to those from the District, as well as officially cut off access to seafood, wine, and vegatation. There are whispers of a likely mission to Ten soon too, though Alma Coin is tight-lipped on the latter. In private circles, Plutarch Heavensbee has been heard remarking about how President and Madame Snow love their caviar and lobster.
With our Mockingjay era plot drops, these will be similar to the Claudius and Caesar updates. You are absolutely welcome to write a self-para or actively do threads in relation to this plot drop! If you choose to roleplay this on the dash, please tag your threads with both #eventideevent05 as well as #eventidests. Our players are now welcome to play through day ninety.
Additionally, all propos in the propo channel up to Cressida Astor's posted on 01/16 are now being readily played within The Capitol and The Districts. It is at your discretion as a mun if your muse(s) have seen zero, one, or several! Feel free to have your muse react to any via a self-para or in threads in general!

Anonymous asked: just making sure, is madge's role open still?
Hey Nonnie! Yes, Madge is still open. If someone were to pick Madge up, they'd either have to play them in District 13 or within The Capitol as unfortunately District 12 is no more. If they were to be in The Capitol, the likely reason would be them being a lottery winner and not being rescued after the arena breakout. Though if you didn't want to go the Lottery route, I would strongly suggest Madge ended up in District 13.

Role: Owner and inventor of Capkea
Personality: Inventive, creative, entrepreneur, straight-forward, humored, practical, easy-going, well-read, outspoken
Song: Ode To The Mets - The Strokes
Activity: Secondary muse
BIOGRAPHY
Cheating TW
Coming from the suburbs of the Capitol, where money wasn’t flowing as grandly as it did through the hands of the elite, Marius quickly picked up the skill of noticing and providing the people’s needs. At an early age it started easy; selling lemonade on the sidewalk when the days were hot, to selling candies on the playground. Cards for approaching holidays or his mother’s home-made fudge when the days of mugs of hot cocoa arrived. He developed a skill that led him to become one of the biggest business magnets in Panem; creating an affordable furniture-line that the common people of the Capitol would purchase en masse; adding some exclusive items for the elite who wished to be part of the hype - leading to a world where every household had at the very least one product in their home approved by Marius Sequin.
But Marius did not grow to be an arrogant man. He had quite the humble family; a wife, Lydia, who was much too involved in current media - effected by all the current trends. Two young daughters who already seemed to follow closely into their mother’s footsteps. Marius is happy to provide and doesn’t mind to spoil ( what other purpose does an abundance of money have if not to spoil your family? ). It all seemed like the dream of success had caught up on him nicely and he played the part that came with it wonderfully. However, boredom lured in corner. He wishes for something new, something fresh. A new challenge to inspire him.

Connection For: katniss everdeen Relationship: spouse (it's complicated) Canon or OC: canon (peeta mellark) Age Range: 22 Home: district 12 (formerly) Faceclaim Suggestions: Iucas lyngaard tonnensen, froy gutierrez, patrick gibson, cody christian, utp Please Contact: @incaensio
Description: the star crossed lovers. they've been through a lot by now - their games, the whirlwind of a victory tour, a wedding in the capitol, mentoring together during the quell. on the last night of the quell, they were pulled apart for interviews and so peeta was captured by the capitol, while katniss was taken to thirteen. he was her reason to becoming the mockingjay, and for two months, he was dangled in front of her for interviews (some can be read on the main as plot drops), while he was tortured and hijacked for staying loyal to her. by now, peeta has been rescued, but he's not himself anymore, and it seems there is a long way to recovery - - for himself and for everlark as a couple.

Connection For: Sarah Kline Relationship: A companion; friendship or potential love interest. Preferably something somewhat pre-established.  Canon or OC: oc (although a friendship could also be with a canon character of course) Age Range: Friendship: 24 - 37. Romance: 25 - 34.  Home: Capitol, unless it is going to be an already pre-established future connection.  Faceclaim Suggestions: UTP, but romance-wise, Sarah has already mentioned a few times to be into the blonde boys. I'm not all too stuck on that, though. Please Contact: @unawaress
Description: Going forward in the rp the direction I am going to take with Sarah really depends on whether or not she has any social connections. Right now it seems she has not really anyone I can think of who likes her in more than a shallow way, so I am looking to either expand that or decide on a more secluded/isolated way of continuing. I'm really open to discuss the possibilities - also with the already existing characters. Please approach me to discuss it further :)

Glimpses Into The Opposition
Ten days of promotion litter the airwaves of Panem. Gleam Chryses is set to appear in District One. It's exciting as borders are projected to slowly reopen, according to Claudius Templesmith. There's a buzz within The Capitol as well as District One, as both are particularly fond of the Victor. Amongst Districts that remain favorable towards The Capitol, the buzz is alive too. And those that do not, there are whispers. What propaganda will Gleam and the mayor of District One be peddling?
It's the early hours of Day 71 of The Rebellion, specifically 0930. Whether on a screen or a holo, most citizens of Panem watch as the Victor of the 54th Hunger Games graces the broadcast. Together with the mayor, they speak confidently on the need for peace. They mention to remember what the rebels have cost all the good, gracious citizens of Panem. It's the same tune sung for over seventy-five years: a unified Panem is a strong Panem. Except this time, the song ends with a critically shot Victor and mayor.
What's not seen is how Gleam Chryses was coerced into going home. Her brother's head is dangled for her. The disloyalty of the Victor has long been known by Coriolanus Snow and his administration; the mayor is merely a casualty of circumstance. After the insurgents made their way into The Capitol to rescue the captives, the plan had been simple. Promote the event across Panem for over a week, and it's easy to point the finger at the ghastly rebels.
Screens turn to black, donning the Panem broadcasting logo. This includes District Thirteen, who had fallen victim of a bug that meant the broadcast could not be stopped. Those in District One were made to head to their homes, to give space for the wounded. Both are reportedly transported to The Capitol to be treated by the doctors that money can buy. It will be in vain.
On day 72, both are pronounced dead. A new mayor is appointed to One: Ferro Bertarelli, 62. He is Gloss Resplendence's uncle-in-law, and notably in favor of The Capitol. News is broken in two ways. Corduroy Falto is tasked with writing an editorial. It can be found HERE. Someone also leaked it to Eris Harrington, which is how it ends up HERE on her column.
It's all very controlled, and catered. Fear washes over the people of Panem. It seems The Rebellion is now targeting Victors and officials. Lyah Yazbek of District Five makes another appearance on Caesar Flickerman, denouncing the rebels. And even more chillingly, Cashmere Resplendence, Helios Argent, and Kyan Maddox make an appearance on Flickerman's program. They denounce the rebels as well, while silently reaffirming that One remains The Capitol's most loyal of Districts.
With our Mockingjay era plot drops, these will be similar to the Claudius and Caesar updates. You are absolutely welcome to write a self-para or actively do threads in relation to this plot drop! If you choose to roleplay this on the dash, please tag your threads with both #eventideevent05 as well as #eventidegito. This plot drop does not effectively pause time in the roleplay. However, our players are now welcome to play through day 82! Happy roleplaying!
