           ♕ ADMIN PSA:  australia’s bushfire crisis.

    hey guys, i’ll be shooting up an end of year message later on but i just wanted to give you a heads up about whats going on over here on my spot in the globe - this isn’t a super positive post and i know i don’t usually put this kind of stuff up on the main, but it’s important and also a preemptive warning in case i disappear.

        with australia’s heatwave and being in the middle of summer, bushfires all up and down the eastern coastal states have only gotten worse - they’ve been burning for weeks upon weeks at this point. we have too much open, dry land for the firefighters and volunteer firefighters and even just general volunteers to handle. they’re running out of trucks, fuel, vehicles, funding and there have been several large evacuations announced in the last 36 hours. the bushfires are worsening our air quality and so there have been a spike in respiratory trauma (including people like me, who are the lowest risk - i’m now on two different asthma inhalers and i’m still struggling to not feel out of breath).   our country is having to order in skin from overseas for the skin graphs for those who have suffered burns, we literally do not enough to handle the injuries create from this disaster, i’m not even joking.   as well as all this, we have forecasted dry lightning due to the heatwave in the next few days and being in summer, this will most likely create more fires. the wind is pushing the fires to spread and jump quickly and now we have dozens, if not hundreds of blazes in all our states in australia.

       i’m lucky that i’m in a place that isn’t under imminent evacuation threat due to the fires, so i am safe for the foreseeable future, but not everyone is.   so for any of my australian RPers out there in the RPC, please stay safe and if you hear an order for evacuation in your area, please listen to it.    lastly, here is a link to the CRISIS AREAS & WEATHER HAZARDS, please stay aware, make sure your animals are safe and/or packed if you have to leave and don’t leave it to the last minute.    and for everyone else… say a little prayer for us aussies, we’re going to need it.

I have never done one before and I think in this case I’m going to say I’d prefer not to, I just don’t really like the whole head on body manip thing and don’t think they’d match my usual quality of work.
