I think is because of comments like this that Im more heartbroken over Shane doing this than the others, now don't get me wrong I'm not part of the "shane was pushed into doing this by the two evil greedy guys he calls friends" (which btw reeks of racism) the fact that I'm not part of it makes it more sad to me, because I Know he decided to do this, he knows how hard it is to just buy groceries nowadays, not even getting specific into the age group of most of the fans.

I simply can't afford it, I had originally written a whole paragraph about my situation rn and went into a lot of over sharing about really tragic things but I really don't Have to, I can't afford it, and thats that, and it's an understatement to say I've been through many situations where I haven't been able to afford stuff that would have helped my mental health but they were too on the side of "wants" and not "needs"

So no, I'm not upset over this because "boo hoo I dont want to spend money/I'm not used to not getting things I want for free." I'm upset over this and it feels like a slap in the face when it comes from someone like Shane, who says stuff like this that makes me and others think he gets it enough to not put all his future content behind a paywall when so many of us find it comfort content

I know a lot of us are mostly blaming Steven for this, and bringing up stuff about his life like the tesla or food habits and all that, but I beg you guys to see that as big of a shitty thing it is to be out of touch and oblivious about how much your audience can take, I consider it honestly just as bad if not worse to Know and still do it

No I don't think Shane is rich, or at the same level as a famous actor or that charging us 6 dollars for future content is the same level of tone deaf and pretentiousness as celebrities singing Imagine during the pandemic

Another disclaimer: I'm pretty fucking priviledge when it comes to money that my parents can pay for me to have all the necessities to not only survive nowadays but actually enjoy it with certain comforts, I still can't afford it, so I really don't want to think about how people that don't have my privileges feel about this

All in all, shitty fucking decision with understandable reasons pushing it to happen, I don't think any content creator wants to depend on YouTube deciding on giving them sponsors that magically go with the video they're supporting

But please stop acting like Shane isn't a grown man that is aware of not only everything he has stood for in the past but the way things have gotten worse lately for I would say 99% of us

“The one person I loved more than myself”

He repeated the words he said to Diego and thought about them for a second.

To another person it could sound like Klaus was saying he loved himself, but that was a fucking lie, he was disgusted with who he was, or, he thought remembering the time travel, who he would become, he didn’t hate anyone more that he hated himself.

Except of course Sir but wasn’t Reggie always the exception to the rule. 

No what Klaus meant when he said those words, was that he was selfish, he didn’t like himself, but he sure put himself first when he had the chance, no one else was ever going to, he had learned that lesson as a child.  

He thought about those times he would take the fault, making his dad angry so he would focus on him and ignore shaking and covered in blood Ben, who hadn’t been able to control Them in a mission perfectly, or Diego who was already self conscious and insecure, who tried so hard not to stutter but would sometimes fail miserably.

He would put himself forward, and be what they all saw him as, loud, annoying and immature, all for dear old dad. Which usually resulted in him getting thrown in the mausoleum begging for anyone alive to hear him and please for the love of God, get him out.

Every time he got back they would all (except Ben of course) roll their eyes, exasperated thinking he couldn’t handle not being the centre of attention. Not noticing the haunted eyes or shaking hands he would hide in his pockets so no one would see the broken bloodied fingernails.

Klaus was the only one that understood why he self medicated, the only one that saw the corpses, the only one that could Hear them, feel them, the only one that didn’t write him off as a good for nothing weak junkie. Until it wasn’t just him, but God he wished it was. 

Because Ben was there now, and he could see all the spirits that screamed in his brother’s face to help them Klaus help us Klaus KLAUS KLAUS-

Klaus was selfish, trying so hard to numb the ghost and the pain and the trauma away and now, the new feeling of guilt, because one of his favourite brothers was now stuck forever seeing Klaus waste his life away because daddy was a sadistic prick who wasted Ben’s life first.  

Klaus didn’t care what happened in that mission with Luther, Sir killed him period. 

So now he had a dead brother, that no one believed he had, haunting him, but that couldn’t stop him from doing the only thing he did well, disappoint.

He was with him when he would grind with people in raves so he could get a place to sleep for the night, when he was too tired of living on the street.

He was there for every ODed, every rehab center, every relapse once he left the rehab center, if he even managed to get sober when he was there, when he was arrested, every time he would let people do whatever they wanted with him for some cash.

And here’s the thing, Klaus did felt guilty that his brother had to be a witness to his fucked up life. He doesn’t know if he would have survived without his brother there, but if he could time travel to save his brother from his fate he would have done it in a heartbeat. Even if he knew what that would entail for their future, even if it meant being alone every day. 

The shame he already felt would definitely amplify when he would catch Ben's eye.

Having Ben watching him made him think about what he looked like, the fact that the nicest but unluckiest brother was forced to watch didn’t help. But shame was for sober people and he had bigger demons that already made him numb himself to care too much about that.

Klaus loved Ben, and having him around having to watch all his shit was just another reason to hate himself, but his love for his brother couldn’t stop him from his lifestyle. And if Ben couldn’t, he was pretty sure nothing would. 

But then, he met Dave.

And he loved him, more than he loved himself, more than he loved taking care of himself, putting himself first, numbing himself every day, he loved him more. 

And he lost him in all the worst ways.
