We still haven’t found out, it might be next week now but I got more recognition points yesterday 😂

My manager during our team meeting on Tuesday: Next week you’ll all find out in your one to ones if you’ve passed probation.

One of the other managers today on our cringeworthy internal recognition website: Kudos to Emma, T and G for their excellent work in helping showing off what the department does to the resourcing team that were visiting yesterday.

We now have chicks n chalk merch.

Climbing last night was good. They’ve reset the bouldering wall and the new routes are a lot more fun than the last. We also did way more ropes than usual which I very much preferred. My toes are nearly poking through my climbing shoes and it was so upsetting knowing that I had a brand new pair waiting for me at the post office. Collected them on the way to work and I’m excited to try them out. Currently got plenty of time before my shift starts but I thought it’s perhaps not appropriate to get my feet out in the office. Might see if anyone wants to go climbing at the weekend! I really need to get going more.

i’m gonna be honest i really love eavesdropping. i love knowing absolutely nothing about a person out in public and listening to them talk on the phone about their inner circle drama it’s one of my favorite things. i don’t feel bad because if you’re loud enough for me to hear about your sister in law’s bad parenting choices i’m well within my right to nod and agree with you

Yeah… I need new climbing shoes. Was a good session last night, tad too much chatting but got some nice climbs in. Some routes have been reset and I tried a 6b which I only got about 2/3 of the way up but I believe it’s within my capabilities so that’s exciting!

On the weekend shift this week which means I have today off so headed to the gym for a leg session and now I don’t want to move for the rest of the day.

CLIMBING!!! No chicks n chalk this week but today the boyfriend decided he’d try his luck climbing. I had a really good session, nice to go climbing and not have to do any bouldering! He didn’t say anything but he seemed really frustrated. After the massive break he’s had to take because of his fingers, he had to go down a few grades so it’s understandable if he was. I’m hoping his fingers stay in tact so we can start going together again.

Had the couple I last saw on New Year’s Eve around yesterday, the ones who have lost a shit ton of weight. I’m still in absolute awe of their achievements. The fella is 5 weeks away from his first half marathon, he’d run 10 miles that morning and is talking about what marathon he’d like to do. He’s caught the running bug and it made me reminisce about my running days 😅

Folks, what do you think is song that would get other people singing along?

Boyfriend has booked karaoke for his birthday (I hate karaoke) and obviously number one karaoke rule is if you’re gonna come, you have to sing so I’m thinking a good tactic is to pick songs that people can’t help but sing along to so I’m less self conscious.

First thing that popped into my head was bohemian rhapsody. Then I thought maybe jolene? Anyone got any other ideas? Hopefully I shouldn’t need to do more than 2 but I’m trying to be prepared.

I actually love singing but I have an awful voice so don’t like singing in front of other people 😂

With the exception of a picture of hash cake that I sent to my stoner friend from work who kindly covered my Saturday shift, this was the only photo we took the entire weekend in Amsterdam. Us and some statue butts.

Best friend’s partner got the dates mixed up and they left a day earlier than us. He also had to ruin the surprise soooo close to us meeting them because the plan was to try and cross each other on the street and best friend was getting annoyed that he was being dragged up and down for no apparent reason. Whatsapp share location wasn’t updating in a timely fashion and it turned out they were on the opposite side 😂

I spent £177 on one of the nicest vegan meals I have ever eaten. I offered to pay for us all so that I could have the 3 course menu with lots of different stuff 😅

I never want to travel over a bank holiday again.

Going to Letchworth this weekend for a friend’s birthday, I’ve never been before, not 100% where it actually is and I’m sure it’s nice but the name is so off putting 😂

Next weekend I’m going to Amsterdam for best friend’s birthday. His partner messaged me a couple of weeks ago saying he wanted to take best friend somewhere as a surprise and asked if we wanted to come too to up the surprise. He suggested Amsterdam or Belfast. Folks, which would you choose!?!? That’s hardly an even choice? He may as well have just said let’s go to Amsterdam 😂 I’m very much looking forward to it but would have definitely appreciated him organising it sooner, booking a holiday this close to a bank holiday weekend was expensive 😬😬😬😬
