Was it a mistake to take a trip to the corner store at 11’oclock? Maybe, but was it worth it? Absolutely. As Yuuji walked over with his arms full of snacks, you couldn’t help but laugh at the ridiculous amount. “Do we really need all of that? How much do we need for a movie night?” he could only gawk at the statement.

“Babe! We can’t watch a movie without chips and soda, c’mon be serious.” Raising your hands in defense you pretend to back off, “I’m totally serious, ‘m always serious!”

Yuuji stuck his tongue out and walked over to the cashier, not dropping a thing. He was a man on a mission, and clearly it was a success.

“Lets go! I still gotta show you the Human Earthworm series!” The pink haired male bounced towards the exit with two plastic bags in tow. Yuuji’s enthusiasm never failed to get you excited for even the most mundane of things. He had been hyping up this series as some sort of gory slasher, though apparently the third was lacking in taste. Even with that detail in mind, he had gotten you hooked with the promise of a movie marathon date after the rough week you both had.

He was still the vessel of one of the most dangerous beings in all of existence, and you… well you were nothing special, not in the grand scheme of things. Your knowledge of the Jujutsu world started and ended with Yuuji, and you think when he was gone that’d be it for you too.

So for now without the weight of the world on your shoulders, you’d enjoy this crappy movie franchise and over-priced snacks with the love of your life. For both your sakes, everything else could come later.

“Okay! Okay, ‘m coming.”

“I can’t believe you made me to do this…” Megumi’s voice was deep as he grumbled into your ear. The day was warm, and seeing as it was a weekend you had decided to spend part of your free time strawberry picking. You could only smile to yourself as the both of you continued down the rows of small green bushes, “Oh yeah? What’s wrong with a few berries ‘Gumi?” The tone was questioning as you leaned down to take a few of the small red fruits.

“I just- wouldn’t you rather be doing this with Nobara and Zenin?” The dark haired boy asked with a pout.

“Huh? No, cos they’re not my boyfriend and they wouldn’t make me as happy as you do.” You replied, reaching down with your extra hand to grab his free one. Even after almost a year he was still shy when it came to this sort of affection. “Besides, who’s gonna buy me a lemonade after we’re done?”

“Me,” you nodded turning to face him. With a smile as bright as the sun shining above, you kissed Megumi’s reddening cheek and watch him flush even more.

“Uh-huh, and you’ll get even more kisses for it!”

Just a year ago, he could’ve never imagined himself here with you. Fighting curses and taking on the world left little time for leisure, let alone love. There were only a handful of Sorcerers that he had heard of with partners, and to say he was now one was shocking. The world was dark, and he had always known that - But you, oh incredible you, made it brighter than ever.

Leaning back down to kiss you in return, he said “Wouldn’t have it any different, Love.”

As day turned into evening, you had suggested a nice walk with your husband. Sukuna had elected you both take the long route to make it a date, and with no complaints the two of you headed on out.

“We should do this more often, Princess.” He said, voice a little distant. Normally he was heated, whether it was work or some other villain of the week, there was always something bubbling under the surface of his skin. With a nudge to his shoulder you give him a sly smile, “Yeah, well if ya weren’t so busy maybe we could, Handsome.”

He gave a nod, and for a while more you continued to walk in a comfortable silence. “What are you thinkin’ about ‘Kuna? Don’t want ya to pop a blood vessel over this,” you nudged him again, and went to wrap an arm around his.

“Just… Just about how much I don’t deserved this, ‘m not good for ya- and don’t even start you know I’m not.” The pink haired male settled into your touch, taking a few breaths.

When you two had met all those years ago, he hadn’t been a good person. Truth be told you didn’t known if he was one now - but he was good to you. It wasn’t such a surprise for him to be thinking this way, ‘King of Curses’ didn’t hold much in terms of hope after all. “Well, maybe this isn’t about what you deserve? You got me, you’ve have me, and now you can keep loving me. Like I do for you,”

“I’m not a good person,” a nod

“I’ll hurt you,” a hum

“But, I do love you…” and that you knew, he wouldn’t have cared enough to be here otherwise.

You loved him too, that much was clear. You had changed for him, you had cried for him, and somewhere along the line you had fallen too deep to come back. Hopefully, that was the kind of love he felt as well.

“Mhm, and I you.”

Single Father!Nanami who carefully packages together Yuuji's lunches every night before bed. Who spends time meticulously picking out which breads to use and which fruits to pack to ensure his son eats a balanced meal - and they conserve the best of their groceries for that week.

Single Father!Nanami who wakes up at 5am to ensure he gets his own shower, and still allow his little boy an easy transition into his day.

Single Father!Nanami who despite working late half the week, makes it up by giving Yuuji his undivided attention as soon as he wakes up on Saturday morning. Yeah it sucks not seeing his baby some nights, but it's worth every moment away once he sees him again.

.vs.

Single Father!Gojo who either throws together lunches last minute for Megumi, or stops by the conner store on the way to school. It doesn't mean he doesn't care, oh no! They were just up to late reading stories (again).

Single Father!Gojo who likes to wake up late because it gives his little man more time to sleep in before the rough day starts. He can agree that people are rough, so what's an extra 30 minutes when it means Megumi can be happy?

Single Father!Gojo who is home most nights by 7pm and throwing together dinner. Maybe it's not the best, but hey! At least they get a cookie after finishing their plates, he swears it's a reward and it tastes like one too.

You lie on the couch of your shared apartment as Satoru fetches drinks from the kitchen. The show playing in the background does little to distract you from the blazing heat of Tokyo summers. Even in his larger t-shirt, the cotton stick to you like a second skin. “Here ya go, Baby,” he says rolling the chilled glass across the back of your neck, hoping to relieve some of the discomfort brought on by the heat.

“Mhm, thanks.” An appreciative hum is voiced as he plops back into his spot.

His slender fingers trace up your side, as you both bask in a comfortable silence. The thrum against your body lulls you into sitting up beside the white haired male. Hoping the sugary iced drink would be the pick me up needed, you take it from your boyfriends grasp and sip it. “S’good… god, it’s so hot.” A whine escapes your lips as you lay your down on his shoulder with a pout.

“I know, m’sorry. Damn aircon is breaking down again, I’ll get it fixed promise.” He raises his fingers to show them locked, with a big smile on his face. Damp hair stick to his forehead, and a flush had settled over his pale cheeks. He was hot too, in more ways than one.

You roll your eyes at his statement, “You said that last year Toru, didn’t happen then either.” he lets out a gasp at the statement. “I was extra busy last year! The Jujutsu world needs me ya know,” it was your turn to scoff.

“And I needed my air-conditioning fixed! It’s whatever though, ‘m gonna change.” You remove yourself from his hold, but Satoru keeps a hand on your wrist as you stand.

“I love you!”

ミ★ 𝘎𝘦𝘵𝘰 ★彡

“Sugu! C’mon, hurry up! We’re gonna miss it!” You run off ahead of Suguru, hoping to get to the beach before the sun sets. The man only smiles and shakes his head as he follows after, he had gotten you both there early for a reason.

Lacing his hands with yours, he slows the pace to something more manageable. “We’re not going to miss anything, there’s still twenty minutes left.” The dark haired male can only laugh at the bursts of energy coursing through your body. “Enjoy this, you won’t miss a second.” Suguru begins to rub soothing circles into the back of your hand as you continue to walk to your destination.

“But-“

“Nuh-uh, no buts, we’ll make it in time. Have a little trust, yeah?” The squeezes to your hand reinforces what your boyfriend is says.

With a groan you comply, and the two of you continue on the path to the secluded beach.

Suguru listens to your babble with an open ear. Well aware of how fast you want to feel the waves and see the ever setting sun. The conversation is fluid and he’s thankful for the moment of peace. Being a special grade sorcerer meant long hours and even longer days without seeing you, so this trip was a needed treat.

Truthfully he could do this forever, be with you. “I love you, I hope you know that.” He kisses your hand gently, just barely grazing his soft lips over the bow of your knuckles. With a giggle, you reply “Of course I do, you wouldn’t have put up with me this long if you didn’t.”

Walking out of the tree-line and onto the shore, he allows you to lead him out towards the water. You’ve never looked better, here in the golden light holding onto him - and never has he felt so at peace.

So as the two of you finally face the setting sun, he feels that love too.

ミ★ 𝘕𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘪 ★彡

The weekend market was bustling as you and Kento continued to walk around it. Basket in hand, you stroll around to each stall with excitement. Fresh fruits and veggies for the week were always nice, and the added bonus of spending time with your husband was even better.

“Would you like anything from this stand, My Love?” with a hand on your waist, Kento continues to skim through the vendors items. Leaning into his touch, you smile up at him, “You can’t ask that every time we see a new stall! We’d go broke if you bought everything I looked at.”

His sigh turned into a small smile, “If I did, it’d be worth all the extra hours I’m taking on.”

You rub at his arm, leading him away to look at flower cart. “You being here is all I can ask for, your work is too dangerous for me to ask more of you!”

The blonde turns and places a kiss to the side of your head. Just as many others were in his line of work, he was selfish. Selfish for returning to the world of Jujutsu, for putting others before himself when you needed him, for wanting more time with you knowing any moment could be his last…

“You could ask the world of me, and I’d give it to you no matter what.” you hum in agreement resting your head against his shoulder.

“That’s sweet, but how about we settle for these flowers huh? No need for the world, you’re my world anyway.”

ミ★ 𝘛𝘰𝘫𝘪 ★彡

From the kitchen window you watch as Toji continued to work on the yard. The garden was really starting to come together, and it wasn’t much thanks to you (not that your husband would ever say that). “Toji! Baby, do you want anything to drink?” You called through the open screen.

“No thanks, Doll. ‘M Good,” he pushed back his hair to wipe at the sweat on his forehead.

“Hmm, I’m bringing you some water! Last thing we need you fainting and Megumi seeing,” you brought him out a chilled glass of water, opting to feel his reddening cheeks. Toji’s large hands came to rest over your own, “I’m fine ya know,” he mutters.

You huff instead, “Don’t even argue with me ‘bout this, I can worry! It’s not like you’re letting me help away.”

The dark haired male runs his thumbs over the back of your hands, “And why would I let ma Doll, do any of this work? Soft hands like yours ain’t made for hard labor.” You let out another scoff, “It’s a few flower beds Toji.”

“And I stand by ma point, let me do this for ya.” Gosh, what a stubborn man you married.

Clearly he wasn’t going to let you win this argument, so it was pointless to try much harder. In the years you had known him, he had never been more present in your life and in your marriage up until recently. Maybe it was sad to say that, but the truth still stood. Toji was gone once, but he’s here now and that should be enough, right? Right…

Looking to the side you nod. It was a bit embarrassing to be nervous of the man you love, but he’s different now.

“Hey, look. I love you, ya know?” you did know.

You lean into his touch and savor the moment. Maybe he’d be gone again in the morning, maybe he’d stay for longer, maybe he wouldn’t leave. For now though, this was enough, it had to be.

“Mhm, yeah. I love you too,”
