Astralling with ADHD, or How To Astral When You Can’t Meditate
alright, so this is something i’ve struggled with myself for years before finally finding a method that worked for me. and since this post is mainly aimed at my fellow ADHD peeps, i’m not gonna drone on for too long because i hate walls of text just as much as you, so let’s get right to it
here’s tips based on how i, after 5 years of meditative failure, finally reached the astral with my ADHD brain:
put on some wordless music, on headphones if you can. it doesn’t have to be special meditation music, anything you can loop seamlessly works. this will help to narrow your focus even just a little bit. (although, it works best if it’s not music you really love, bc then you might focus on that instead)
don’t try to quiet your mind. don’t try to think of nothing. don’t aim for the silence. it doesn’t work for us, and it’s not even the correct way of meditation but that’s another post entirely.
don’t stress over trying to imagine yourself going “down”, or floating, or whatever else guided meditations and astralling help posts might say. or i mean, do, but if you’re reading this post i assume that didn’t work for you already. it didn’t work for me. it never has.
now here’s the hot tip: actively think about the astral. let yourself have these thoughts. be excited. steer your excitement for reaching the astral and all the things you will do once you get there.
it’s fine. think about it! see it!! my personal stream of consciousness tends to be “omg the astral yass let’s do it let’s dive for it boys im READY here it comesss woot woot beep beep ASTRAL TIMEEEE” and the like. just keep that shit going for as long as you can.
the essence of this method is consciously hyperfocusing on the astral, until you basically eject yourself into it.
that’s it. that’s the post. you can stop reading here if you want.
believe it or not, for us with easily distractible restless ADHD brains, an active stream of consciousness is how we can find focus. it’s how we can “dive deep”. i don’t even worry about my breathing either bc i get excited super easily and my heart’s always going a million miles a minute, ESPECIALLY when i’m in the astral bc that shit is just exciting, period.
for me, the first time i tried this, i suddenly saw a key. i didn’t think of it, it just appeared, floating before me. i imagined myself picking it up and it… didn’t work. suddenly just imagining things wasn’t enough. i had to put conscious effort into reaching for it before i felt that i had it in my hands (and yes, the entire time my brain was going “oh shit, we pickin up the key oh damnn oh it’s in me hands now oh heck!!!” lmao).
once i did, just as before, completely unprompted, a door appeared before me, and boy oh boy did i fucking lunge for that shit, breathing totally out of whack, heart pounding, my mind screaming in excitement, but did i do it? did i get to the astral, finally, after so many years of thinking it was unreachable for me?
yeah, i fucking did. and you can as well. hyperfocus on it, let your wandering brain do all the wandering it wants, ENCOURAGE it to do so.
the results might just surprise you.

That one post about the fae you've been looking for
From a long time witch and spirit worker
I'd like to preface this post with the fact that I myself come from the UK with Irish Celtic heritage, however I want to emphasize that any information you've seen on tik Tok claiming that Celtic Religions are closed/the same as Native American Tradition is inaccurate. Celtic religions are not closed. And there are several reasons for this! Celtpol was never closed in antiquity as the ancient Celts would often spread their religious beliefs. The religion unfortunately died out, many of the traditions appropriated by Catholicism. There is no consistent passed through blood ideology present in the religion. Nobody is 100% celtic, not even myself who's family is Irish. The idea of a perfect celtic bloodline is an idea perpetuated by White Supremacists and is incredibly wrong.
In addition to this, it's important to acknowledge that not all faerie lore is Celtic and to close faeries on that grounds ignores Norse myths and non-Celtic mythology across Europe. The fact is, to suggest CeltPol is closed, or the fae are closed, is insulting. Not only does it perpetuate racism, but it holds Fae to a human standard that they cannot hold because they are not human. To put it plainly, the Fae are more likely to dislike everyone, not pick and choose based on a blood quantum.
Overview: what is a faerie
A faerie is a magical creature found across the folklore of many countries, especially in Europe. There are many different beliefs about fairies. Many consider them as minor deities, or even fallen angels. While not all fae are aggressive, many are. There are variations of fae, such as Sidhe which are land spirits and are tied to certain areas. Other fae are not tied to the land. I have done a tremendous amount of research on faerie customs, but as that is UPG I will be saving it for another post.
Fae occupy an "otherworldly" realm that is separated from ours. Time and reality moves differently there. Humans can become trapped in the Fae realm by eating faerie food.
Are the Fae tied to "celtic land"
The Short answer is 'No'.
Firstly you cannot define Celtic land, as aforementioned, the Celts were a wide and diverse group of people and cannot only be tied to the UK and Ireland. We already know the Fae do move! Not only were some of the Irish-Celt Gods moved to Ireland by other groups, but Irish Lore speaks of the Tuatha de Danan, which invaded Ireland so they weren't originally from the land anyway.
Do I believe that the further away you get from "Celtic Land" you're less likely to encounter a Faerie described in Celtic lore and instead a magical creature from that Countries lore? Sure. Some types of the Fair Folk are tied to land, but not all are. Not all Fair Folk are Aos SĂŹ (the Fae in Irish Lore which come from the Belly of the Earth and are tied to landmarks like hills and mounds)
The Fae simply do not have the same beliefs regarding race, ethnicity and region.
Faeries exist in other cultures, not just Celtic
In my opinion to say Fae only interact with those of Celtic Heritage erases folklore from other countries. The fact is there are many different beliefs from different parts of the world so, while I previously tried to define the idea of a Faerie, YOU CANNOT DEFINE THEM AT ALL. The folklore varies from town to town in some cases. Fae are mystical and liminal. If the Fae in question is capable of stepping between the worlds, I think it is wrong to say they cannot step over a border. Not to mention, many Fae were treated like Gods and consequently limiting them to your beliefs is like disrespecting a Deity.
This isn't everything that can be said on the fae but it does address many misconceptions regarding them.

this might be a ✨ spicy hot take ✨ but just because servitors aren’t sentient doesn’t mean you can treat them like garbage. you can’t just destroy them because they become sentient and you can’t force them to do things after their sentient. and ffs even while their not sentient treat them with respects. if you aren’t ready to do with the fact the servitors can become sentient and when that happens you need to take care of them and treat them like people when and if they do become sentient, don’t make a servitor! you don’t abandon a child because they start forming their own opinions and thoughts, don’t do it to a servitor.

Why You Should Keep Track of the Tarot Cards You Pull
People will often notice patterns to the cards they pull - you’ll notice that certain cards come up more often. This tends to be based on a feeling though, rather than any real data about which cards you’ve pulled - and the real data may surprise you.
I’ve kept track of the cards I’ve pulled in my single card readings over the past three months, and here are some things I’ve noticed:
I pull one card more frequently than any other card. In my case, that card is The Magician. It’s really useful to know - not just suspect - that one card turns up constantly for me.
Some cards don’t actually appear as frequently as I think they do. I recently pulled the Nine of Pentacles and thought, “Again?? Why do I pull this card so much??” but when I look at the actual data… I’ve pulled other cards way more frequently. I think it’s a form of the Baader-Meinhof effect - a card can stick in your brain for some reason and you remember it as appearing more often than it actually does!
There are interesting things about the cards that I don’t pull. In three months, these Major Arcana cards have never come up at all: The Emperor and The Devil. I can look at the data of what archetypes don’t appear in my life and draw some interesting conclusions. I’ve also not drawn a single court card (page, knight, queen, or king) from the suit of swords - swords tend to deal with conflict, which I maybe have less of during this particular time in my life
I can identify which suit and which numbered cards appear the most and the least in my readings. While the totals of Swords, Wands, Cups, and Pentacles I pull are pretty close to even, Wands eke out a little bit higher total than the others. Cups and Pentacles are tied, with Swords coming in last. If I didn’t have this data, I’d probably assume I pull Swords the most - because they leave the biggest impact on me when I do pull them! Of the numbered cards: I pull Aces of any suit the most, and Twos of any suit the least. This makes for some interesting patterns: The Magician is sort of the “Ace” of the Major Arcana, as well. Aces are about a very singular willpower whereas Twos are about partnership and duality. Through this pattern I can identify the focus the cards have on my life at this particular point in time.
I pull Major Arcana cards more than is statistically likely. The Major Arcana makes up 28% of the deck, but 39% of my pulls. The Major Arcana are more associated with long-term messages, and so my life may have more long-term type changes needing to be made during this period.
This is a quick guide to how you might interpret some of the overall themes you notice:  Minor Arcana: temporary, easily changed, daily life, current situation Major Arcana: long term, archetypes, themes, life lessons, current lesson Wands: spirituality, inspiration, determination, strength, intuition, creativity, ambition and expansion; energy, motivation and passion. Cups: love, feelings, relationships and connection; emotions, intuition and creativity Swords: action, change, force, power, oppression, ambition, courage and conflict; thoughts, and words Pentacles: work, business, trade, property, money and other material possessions Aces: new beginnings, news, movement in a positive direction Twos: duality, connection Threes: creation, creativity, growth, action Fours: stability, structure Fives: tension, conflict, challenge Sixes: relaxation, harmony, reevaluation Sevens: mystery, disruption, adjustment Eights: action, movement, growth, change Nines: contemplation, reflection, looking to the next step Tens: conclusion, culmination, new beginnings, complexity Pages: youth, vitality, fascination, learning, and focus Knights: adventure, energy, missions, conviction, willfulness, recklessness Queens: curiosity, openness, expressiveness, creativity, flexibility Kings: authority, leadership, expertise, mastery, inflexibility

Tips for baby witches, lazy witches, tired witches, or any witch really:
Enchant your morning cup of tea/coffee
Match the colours of your makeup to your intentions for the day
Visualise the water washing away all the negativity when you shower
Enchant your nail polish (bonus: match the colour to the intention, black for protection, red for love, green for prosperity, etc)
Say your affirmations (for clear skin, fading scars, reducing dullness, etc) when doing your skincare
Charge your perfume with the energy you wish to attract
When tying your shoes, visualise them symbolically protecting you from tripping and “falling” into places and situations that disturb your peace
Use music to your advantage, listen to songs that match your intentions, or alternatively, use music as a tool for divination
Some witches veil to keep their energy from draining and to protect them from others’ emotions, but a beanie works too
If you wear glasses, use them as a tool so that they help you “see clearly”
Put your moisturiser on in the shape of a sigil before massaging it in
Child’s pose is always there for you, use it when you need it (alleviates stress and anxiety, helps clear the mind, releases tension in the back, helps to steady breathing, is overall great for grounding, etc)
Visualise the A+ (on your report card/on the paper after it’s been graded/etc) right before beginning to solve your test/exam, it also helps if you can draw a sigil somewhere on the paper, or trace it on the paper with your finger
When shaving, visualise any energy buildup being shaved off as well
If you play the guitar, draw a sigil on your plectrum/pick for an added boost (this works with other instruments too)
Do not litter out of respect for nature and its spirits
Feel free to add more things onto the list
When you’re just starting out, or even when you’re just too drained to practice your craft like you used to, it can feel like there isn’t enough magic in your life. This is your daily reminder that a lot of the time, the only difference between routine and magick is intent.

Cleansing Your Space Without Smoke
Tumblr media
1.)  CLEANSING AIR SPRAY
Your first and most simple way to cleanse without smoke would be to make a salt water solution (Fresh Salt Water from a Beach is a big Plus! Or reuse that snow/ Rain Water)
Simply mix the salt to your water until it dissolves fully.
Essential Oils are completely optional, Make your solution your own this is nearly a “base” Recipe but also very effective on its own.
Spray all around your Home, Altar, Car, Body to clear the congested energy.
2.) STEAM CLEANSING AND FLOOR WASH
Tumblr media
 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ OPTION ONE ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~
Boil water, And Add herbs that work with the intention of your cleanse.
Sage- Clears ALL energys
Sweet Grass- Think “Sweet” promotes love
Rosemary- Love, Cleansing, Protection, Money  Your all purpose herb
Cinnamon: Protection, Love
Lavender: Peace, Tranquility, Happiness
Cloves: Exorcizing, Banishing negativity
Rue: Exorcizing, Expelling, Hex Breaking
Chamomile: Keeping, And Promoting peace, Happiness
Basil: Luck
Angelica Root: Protection against Malevolent spirits
(Research different herbs, Mix and Match to make YOUR Perfect blend)
Boil all of of your herbs together, Until you get a rich, Dark Color. Use this time to “add” Your intentions and energy’s into your mixture. Make your magic Happen! Take the pot and “Smudge” with the steam. All nooks, All cranny’s, All corners, All Rooms.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Now here is your “Second Option“  ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
ONCE THE MIXTURE HAS REACHED ROOM TEMPERATURE use your decoction as a Floor Wash. You can add any detergents, Or Fragrances at this time
Clean all your floors, Base boards, Window Sills, What ever feels right, Although I would always start with the Floor.
(You may want to dilute in clean water, As some herbal mixes can stain)
This gives your Home Cleansing some extra OOMPH
You can dispose of your mixture Naturally, Outside, Or down the drain, Its up to you. This is an eco friendly solution.

{6 Home-Cleansing Tips}
The new moon is a time of cleansing and new beginnings, so I thought I would give my home a nice, thorough freshening! Nothing but good vibes up in here.
Open! Your! Windows!
Tuck a bayleaf in all four corners of your home. I drew a custom home-protection sigil on each of mine.
Burn some incense! I chose sandalwood for overall purification (and ‘cause it smells deeelightful.)
Mix water, salt, and lavender oil in a spray bottle. Spritz it around your home for an extra boost of peace & purity!
Straight-up CLEAN! I scrubbed & swept & dusted until everything felt fresh as hell.
Ring bells/chimes or clap to dispel any negative energy. I sent any bad vibes running for the hills with these bad boyzzz.
Happy cleaning!

Witch tip 🌙✨
Place a bowl of saltwater in your room throughout the day to absorb negative energies. Program the saltwater bowl with the intent to protect your space from negative energy and/or people. It also works to place crystals with protective energies around the saltwater bowl.
Crystals that can be used are:
-Amethyst
-Clear Quartz
-Selenite
-Flourite
-Yellow Jasper
-Any crystal that helps you feel safe and secure.
To dispose of the saltwater just simply flush it down to toilet. (If anyone has an alternative way to dispose of the saltwater please feel free to add on).
**Bonus points if you charge the saltwater with moonlight or sunlight!
-Serena 🔮
