Sorry it's been so long, everyone. Lots of life stuff, and working on systems that are not D&D 5E. However, the backlog of material I have to share is so vast that a few more sneak peeks into it couldn't hurt!
There's Glitz, an alternative to the Dodge action for folks with low enough AC where a cantrip boost would matter,
Stipend, a unique buff that relates to giving a subordinate a supply of gold that they can use at their will,
Hoddes' Observant Candle, a divination spell that works almost like a super-scuffed truesight if you squint,
and Shepard's Tone, a psycho-physical effect that literally forces creatures to descend into the ground itself!
Hope you enjoy, and hope both players and DMs find use in them!

odd... where does the extra prize money come from? does that mean some pokémon are able to duplicate money but only in battle? this is a weird move
looking through my old discs and i found one i have no idea how it got there or what it does. i can't even find any listings on it so i don't know what it's worth. has anyone ever heard of the move happy hour?

My partner and his partner are going through an extremely rough situation right now, and facing homelessness. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't fare well in the winter. Housing issues have prevented me and many others from sharing couches that they wish could be shared. Please, if you can, donate whatever you can.

You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.
By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.
I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?

Re: God->man->God
That sublime awe (perfect words, thank you for them) is why I never understand Loveraftian horror.
I already know about the Thing that Should Not Be, bigger than our four dimensions can encompass and older than time itself
And They would recreate existence again to hear us say "I love you".
"Whom shall I fear" indeed.
My favorite cosmic horror has always been “It isn’t that they are so large and incomprehensible that they do not care about us any more than you care about a single flatworm in the river muck of some Siberian woodland”.
It’s been “This magnificent thing which defies explanation and is so grand and big it refuses to obey such tiny concepts like physics and reality cares about us so much. It loves us. It is fascinated by us endlessly. It wants to bring us closer to it, to talk to it, to hold conversations. But it cannot understand us. And we cannot understand it. And so it is terrible and dangerous.”
Cosmic horror where the haunted house loves you so completely that it creates a door to a perfectly black hallway in your living room. You can walk down it for five and a half chilly minutes. Cosmic horror where your lonely domicile is so grateful that you live within its bones that it grows new ones for you.
It flexes its wallpaper tendons. It splays its stony foundations out for you, home-liver. It takes itself and it builds a home from which you are safe from all the outside world which could harm and age you. Here in these eternal attics and parlors and boudours and stairwells, the house will love you so deeply that no one will ever see you again.
Horror which is scary because the incomprehensible doesnt care about you will always amount to nothing when you know about horror which is scary because the incomprehensible cares about you in a way which you cannot tell it you do not want.

Hello everyone, it's me again! Dropping some neutral and docile "monsters" for the joy of players and DMs alike, which is rare for the bestiary of the monster manual! These weak creatures have druidic and familiar potential, depending on what's allowed and what's available!

crossposting tags from my main; captions under the cut
Depends on mood, depends on what the karaoke place is able to play, depends on vibe.
If the karaoke place only has smash hits? Flagpole Sitta by Harvey Danger.
If it's open to slightly deeper cuts, the flowchart opens up a bit. Light and cheery? Cabinet Man Lemon Demon. Open to tongue-in-cheek bitterness and rap? Shrunk Aesop Rock.
Then, finally, if the deepest of cuts, no limits, entirely open, we get to Deep Duvi. Screamy and punk? Breakers by Max Raptor. Sorta broody and chill? In the Garden by Red Vox. Sweet sounding but slightly melancholic? Saturday Night Ate Our Lives by Whitey.
...these are gun to my head pulls and I still had to overthink it
getting to know my mutuals and followers: if you had to sing karaoke on the spot RIGHT NOW what would your go to song be reply in the tags

@yourselfcola tagged me to spell my name with song titles, and sure I can do that. Doing it on my talk-about-things blog because I get to force everyone to see more songs... that and I don't have any songs that begin with the number zero
RULES: Spell your url name with song titles and then tag as many people as letters in your URL
RULE BREAK: I'm not spamming my entire contacts list with this shit, only the people who will find it fun. In essence I'm only tagging 2
Day of the Baphomets - The Mars Volta
Undestructable - Gogol Bordello
Visions and Afterthoughts - Red Vox
I Will Build You A Rome - Cain's Offering
TUFF - Aesop Rock
head in the clouds - webcage
Evangeline - Max Raptor
Mythologue - Johnny Manchild and the Poor Bastards
Open Passageways - All Them Witches
Oh Klahoma - Jack Stauber
Keep it Dark - Genesis
Tagging @sapphireshoress and @green-jack!
