I was wondering about chimera Falin and went back to the chapter where Thistle shows up (ch29)

Part of the red dragon was also turned into eyes of the magician so that could be part of the explanation.

I was also wondering about the feathers, cause lots of people ask about it.

My guess from this line is that Thistle created a whole new creature rather than just glue Falin's body into the dragon. Perhaps he thought a smaller body would be more convenient? And I don't think he's the best creature designer as Laios calls out later on. Nothing else was probably added to it besides Dragon and Falin, The wings and Feathers were an addition from Thistle, plus reptiles and birds aren't that far biologically so it's not like the feathers are that absurd all things considered.

Laios guesses that Falin grew feathers to resist the cold better but I wonder if Thistle took that into consideration....

Dungeon Meshi - Chimera

According to the Adventurer's Bible Faligon is 11m from head to tail while red dragons are between 19-25m from nose to tail, in imperial that would be Faligon 36ft and Red Dragon 62-82ft

The height chart shows the red dragon standing besides a scale around 39ft and Faligon standing around 19ft.

Tried to match the scales.

According to the Adventurer's Bible Faligon is 11m from head to tail while red dragons are between 19-25m from nose to tail, in imperial that would be Faligon 36ft and Red Dragon 62-82ft

The height chart shows the red dragon standing besides a scale around 39ft and Faligon standing around 19ft.

superblackbird-sr71 COOL! Also, the very first part of the first Ending theme has a shot of Laios in his room, and sure enough, I checked and its a match for the drawing of their room!

I didn't notice! Even the coat hanger is there!

It also shows up in the beginning of this extra

Laios is sleeping with his head towards the bookcase in this one.

They're making assumptions about a pasta dish, it just happens that they made one thats basically a pork ramen.

Plus both of them were from small villages from what I understand, probably not that similar even if its in the same continent.

Merini (Or Melini) - The Village where the Adventurer's stay and make preparations before adventuring in The Dungeon.

Laios pointing up: Our hometown is farther north across the sea. It's a boring place with nothing but mountains and snow.

Marcille pointing to Kahka Brud: Everyone comes to the island through this neighboring town. It's the biggest one in the area. The Magic School Falin and I went to is there too.

Cythis pointing west talking about the canaries: We came from a city on the continent that lies northwest of here. Of the human races there 80% are elves. 20% are "other."

Kabru pointing east (tiny Kuro with Mickbell on his shoulders besides him): Utaya is… was far to the east of here. Humans and Demihumans are still fighting over the territory. Kuro came from that area as well.

Shuro point downwards east: The Eastern Islands are scattered to the southeast of here. There aren't many longlived races, and there's constant internal strife and wars between islands.

Tiny Izutsumi and Rin: We all have roots on different islands.
