So I know this terrible, but Park Jimin from BTS is my ultimate thinspo. I have no idea why him of all people triggers me the most, but every time I see him, I have get a renewed sense that I’m so fucking fat and that I need to get myself back on track.
It’s not healthy and I know this is the opposite of what he wants his fans to do, but I can’t stop it? Idk. I have this mindset that I need to weigh less than he does, or than he did at his thinnest, despite the fact that he is at least four inches shorter than I am..it’s gonna happen one way or another
I wanted to update you guys and tell you why I’ve been so inactive. So for the pass few weeks, I’ve really been thinking and reflecting on my eating disorder and mental health. Really questioning everything I’ve put myself through and how long it’s been. Counting calories everyday, keeping up with diets and numbers, making excuses for every question I’m faced with, ignoring the side effects; the hair loss and extreme tiredness, my depression and so much more. Chasing and chasing this image I force myself to be. All this work for a goal that seems impossible.
After really giving it some thought, I’ve come to a realisation that this is all isn’t worth being ‘perfect’. It’s been a long (and exhausting) journey and it was a hard decision to make, but I’m choosing recovery. I’m seeking therapy and slowing working my way to a healthy lifestyle. I hope you all understand my choice. Good luck to the rest of you and goodbye!!
Emma's Goodies (Emma Fontanella, professional pastry chef) just uploaded a video for chocolate cake that has only fifty calories per slice sans icing!! and roughly 90 calories with icing!!
It is also gluten-free, but not vegan
Ingredients (cake) :
80g (⅓ cup) skim milk
180g (6.5oz) unsweetened plain yoghurt
60g (½ cup + 1tbsp) instant oats, two sachets if you're using Quakers Oats
100g (½ cup) sugar substitute/ sweetener - she used Truvia, bear in mind the sweetness of your sweetener and adjust for taste
1 room temp. egg
50g (⅓ cup + 1tbsp) cocoa powder
¾ tsp baking powder
optional - vanilla extract, approx. 6 extra calories depending on brand and amount
Ingredients (skinny icing) :
70g (2.5oz) melted chocolate
45g (3 tbsp) milk
20g (1 tbsp) yoghurt
sweetener, to taste
IF YOU ADD THE ICING, IT WILL BE ROUGHLY 90 CALORIES PER SLICE INSTEAD OF 50 CALS
Directions:
Preheat oven to 160C/ 320F
Mix yoghurt and milk (and vanilla, if using) together and microwave for approx. 45 seconds
Whisk in the cocoa powder till combined
Mix in the sweetener till adequately dissolved, followed by the egg
Grind oats and baking powder in a food processor to form a fine flour and add to wet mix
WORK FAST, mixing the dry and wet ingredients till combined, and then putting it into a lined cake pan
Bake for 35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out slightly fudgy
Leave it to cool for ten minutes, before removing
the top of the cake will look like a brownie at this stage, but still be springy and soft
For Icing:
Combine all icing ingredients, it will be quite a thin mixture
Refrigerate for approx. 10 minutes to firm it up and then spread it over the cake
