Making this its own post, because I want to make the #watcher tag clear:
I don't think their greedy. They have never seem greedy, even with this decision. You could say the same thing about Dropout, which is dumb cause their production value is pretty insane.
They have talked many times before how this isn't profitable, what they're doing. I believe that, cause i actually know a thing or two about film productions and how fucking expensive they are.
This seems to me as desperation, which led to a poorly thought-out decision
Hey so there’s this indie short film coming out later today called Gruff. This guy has been working on it for almost three years in his garage and he made it to cope with his dad passing away. He’s also been posting things on YouTube and Instagram about his process with the film. The thing that really makes this film stand out is that it’s made almost entirely OUT OF PAPER. I’ve had my eye on this project for a few months now and I’m just really excited for it to come out. I’m not sponsored in any way, I just haven’t been this hyped for an indie project in a while and I wanted to spread the word about it. The trailer and premiere links are below. It drops at 5pm PST/6pm MST/7pm CST/8pm EST.
