Artist: Christian Jalon
Song: Not Sure
Genre: R&B Soul
Album: If You Let Me
Released by: Christian Jalon
Verdict: 6 stars out of 10. The song sounds very flowy and moist. And yes, we mean it in a good way. Her voice... just like butter. Some might say her tone is too sweet, but honestly don’t mind. The downside on this track is just the overall production. There were some parts that her voice wan’t proportion to the frequency of the beat. Other than that, it was still pretty good.

Album: direct line to my Creator
Released by: Duendita
Verdict: 7 stars out of 10. It is short and sweet. We love how the singer’s voice has that deep and sophisticated tone. The writing was also good that it will make you imagine of rainy days and breezy summer nights. Respect to Duendita for releasing this independently.

Artist: Anderson .Paak feat. Kendrick Lamar
Song: Tints
Genre: R&B Hip-hop
Album: Oxnard Released by: Aftermath/12 Tone Music, LLC
Verdict: 9.5 stars out of 10. This is one badass track, not to mention the entire album. Anderson .Paak is known for his details when it comes to his sound, lyrics and overall production. His moniker is a living proof of that with the dot before his last name. This song made it to our almost perfect 10 stars if not for the fact that we don’t believe that perfection exists in perfection. The point 5 is left for the raw talent that we can hear from it at the same time hearing music from a musician who got good by doing it for a long time. So technically, leaving out that .5 to make it 10 is not a bad look, which makes this a perfect 10 (if you get what we mean). If you don’t, then try to keep up. All in all, this song is dope and you all should support this hardworking artist who is worthy of a good following!

Artist: Charlie Corrie
Song: Would It Be Enough
Produced by: Josh Blair
Genre: Pop/Rock
Verdict: 5 out of 10. It's not bad.
This song reminds us of a soundtrack of a movie where the guy is chasing the girl for forgiveness. The lyrics are a bit cheesy but it's tolerable. The production of the song is pretty good but it's really not something you have never heard before. I guess we just got intrigued on the fact that the artist is from Cambodia. How rare is that? This is a typical pop song for our ears but definitely with a lot of potential. We love how heartfelt the singing was recorded, so that definitely is a bonus to win some points.

Artist: EL-P and Killer Mike
Song: Banana Clipper
Produced by: EL-P
Genre: Rap
Released by: Product to Mart
Verdict: 7 out of 10. Worth the intrigue.
Urban music is not exactly the same without some real rapping. This one right here may be a little typical but definitely has its own surprising taste. It's political and life in general when it comes to its lyrics and we can say that it was done in a very non-hypocritical and artistic way. Props to these duo who made their flows jive in and compliment to each other and not compete with each other. This is the kind of collab people would love to hear.
Talking about the technical matter, the beat is good also intriguing. It's not really something new but it matches the flow of the track so we still love it. This rap could actually inspire all you aspiring rappers out there. Again, it's not something new to the ears but it's definitely something worth listening to. Check these guys out quick! New Yorkers would be proud for their homeboy EL-P. This is just a sample for an album bound this summer.

Artist: Fickle Friends
Song: Far From The Forest
Genre: Indie Pop
Verdict: 6 stars out of 10. Never would’ve thought it would be a dance track!
The vocals started out really strong and powerful. We didn’t expect that it’s going to be a dance track! The beat was nice and we can sense all the effort put together on the production. This band is from the UK and we did sense a flavor of Coldplay and Snow Patrol going on only with a female singer. It was a surprising track and it would get you dancing. It has some Motown influence and some R&B flare going on with its vocals so it’s definitely new.
We loved it although we think it’s better if the momentum was kept high until the end but we also think that it’s what brought uniqueness to the track. The climax of the song could’ve been kept or its dynamics could’ve been arranged better. But we still think that the song is tight because of the production and the mixing of the instruments.
The band’s image looks very indie which will make you even be intrigued on their sound. They look like they’re going to bust some UK pop songs like Coreen Baley-Rae kind of materials but no, they’re here to make you dance!

Artist: Dianne Franc
Song: Virtual Love Affair
Written by: Dianne Franc
Produced by: TH8A aka Joe Fabio
Genre: Bluestronic Soul
Released by: Bluetown Syndicate
Verdict: 8 stars out of 10. Hypnotic and it can loop forever.
We have made a review about this new sound called Bluestronic before from the same producer who brought you Working Life. And he did it again when he produced this song that will create a last song syndrome in your heads. We are willing to bet that you will not just listen to this song once, probably not even just twice. It could loop forever and you won't mind because the song has just taken you to the future. Play this in your car and you're bound to have a relax journey wherever you are going. It is a perfect driving song and the minute the vocals starts, you'd wish it never ends.
Detailing on the technical matter, we are impressed on how it was written dealing with the current times and situation when everybody is glued on technology. A lot of people would understand this with its relation to communication and all the emotions of this modern day generation. The beat and mixing are hypnotic partnered with the vocal styling of the singer. One of the things that will surprise you here is when the artist starts rapping sexily in the middle of it and afterwards singing like a soul gospel singer towards the end of the song. Not to mention the fact that she is an Asian girl doing all these acts. It has an India Arie feel on it with some sexy rapping if we may summarize it that way. It may still be too soon to tell but looks like Bluestronic is here to stay.

Artist: Stephen Randall
Written by: Stephen Randall
Song: One Promise (I Can't Keep)
Released by: Stephen Randall
Genre: Pop Ballad
Verdict: 6.9 stars our of 10. A ballad for your palette.
This song is cinematic and dramatic. The strings were tightly arranged and the vocal arrangements were surprising! It's a ballad that could make you wish someone would sing it to you. It's for the sentimental of hearts and we picture this song on a movie where Sandra Bullock would star in for one of her romantic chick flicks. It's been a while since we've heard pop ballads rise in the indie world and this one definitely deserves your ears and attention.
The music sounds so sincere and it's produced well. The lyrics were a bit mushy but it compliments those strings and the piano. See when you say pop ballad, some people would think of the boyband kind of music but this one is not of those. We can sense a little bit of country going with the arrangement of the vocals and at the same time some blues and Motown put together.

Artist: Nina
Song: We Are The Wild Ones
Released by: Aztec Records
Produced by: Aztec Records
Genre: Dream Pop
Verdict: 6 stars our of 10. Bring this one to your next party.
The production was good and it will give you this whole galactic-feel in the atmosphere. Nina's voice is perfect for the song with the whole dreamy message. It is a wild song with a beat that could make you think of doing things alone with somebody in an open dark field with some little lights on. It can make you picture a rave for a moment that would make you want to dance, kiss or just stare at the eyes of your special someone. It's romantically designed for party animals with a desire to make every moment count into something infinite but then it lets lose by the end of the song.
Now let's go technical. The beat was produced well for this track but it's not something rare that you'd go die for. It's not something new however, with its flow and the vocals together; it has created that illusion in your head that it's something you've heard for the very first time. The singer's voice was pretty pleasant and it was mixed clean that you'll be able to hear her breath fine tuned. It is a track that is ideal for partying. It would be best if the beat was made more unique but we could say that it's rather fitting to the singer and the melodic vocal patterns so we guess, it worked out just fine.

Artist: Deptford Goth
Song: Feel Real
Genre: Dream Pop
Album: Life After Defo
Released by: Merok Records
Verdict: 7 stars out of 10. This song will take you on a transit mode so be prepared.
The song started as if it wants you to go on deep meditation. The artist definitely knows how to get into the being of his listeners. I think for a while we found ourselves in the middle of a forest with pixie dusts surrounding us. The genre speaks for itself. It will put your mind in trance and for some reason, time will just stop and next thing you'll know is that this song is on loop. We can say that this is worth the 4 minutes and 17 seconds of your time.

Song: Hard On Me
Genre: Pop/Dance
Verdict: 6.5 stars out of 10. Highly recommended as your beach soundtrack.
Production wise, this song has got it. Subliminally interesting and just like what we said on our verdict, this song is perfect when you go to the beach. We love how the lyrics were put together and made it a little bit humorous on the chorus part. Definitely a fun song that you'd want to play when you're around your usual cliques. Artist: Roseaux feat Aloe Blacc
Song: You Make Me Smile
Released by: Totoutard
Genre: Soul
Verdict: 7 out of 10. You will surely drop a tear if you listen to this alone and you just went through a breakup.
This song is so sentimental in so many ways. And as always Aloe Blacc's Motown voice was highlighted and it does show how versatile his pipes are. The beat was definitely sad because it was meant to be sad. So if you feel like wanting to sink in to the moment on how you're missing someone, this is definitely the perfect track. The instrumental part will draw you tears if you are not exactly heartless.

Artist: Joe Fabio
Song: Working Life
Produced by: Joe Fabio
Genre: Bluestronic
Released by: Bluetown Syndicate and Build Destroy Music
Credits: Shameless (TV Series)
Verdict: 8 stars out of 10. This song is genuinely pure in all realness.
If there is one word to describe this entire track, it has to be REAL. From the lyrics to the overall sound, you will easily feel the genuine article of life out of it. We love how simple the vocals were made on this one as it could cater to everyday people's normal life. Even the vocal styling of this song is aligned to the whole message of this package. It has also came to our attention this new genre this artist has created as we visited Bluetown's soundcloud page and it says Bluestronic. Interesting how the hybrid of blues and electronics jived well on this song. Our we about to look forward to a new sound that will dominate the airwaves? Because we sure hope so! We hope that he'll produce more real music.
