Summer just in time for Summer

"Pull up" giving a modern day Erykah Badu vibe... one of my favorites on this new EP... in my eyes, Summer Walker never dissapoints. This new EP is literally just in time for Summer... presenting songs you can both soak up the sun to, and relate to. As usual, Summer bares her soul in this one... and I enjoy the fact the fans got to hear Summer talk in Agayu's Revelation, which gave us a feel of her personality... making this EP more personable. All in all, this EP feels like a cool, melodic, poetic, picnic under the Summer sun. Childish Gambino delivered in "New Type" reminding his fans of his lyrical, chill abilities... Jcole's heart felt message to Summer was heartwarming and sincere. Simply put, This EP is full of vibes with a hint of poetry and a lot of melodies worth nodding your head to. I've always loved how honestly Summer pours her heart into her music... which will always make her a relatable artist, feeling like that friend you sit on the balcony with and have real conversations about life, and what we face as young women. This EP makes you want to throw on your most alluring robe with a cup of tea by noon. I'll always support Summer and her honesty, pen game, and raw talent. SLASH: FEAT MYLES KENNEDY + THE CONSPIRATORS @ AO ARENA, MCR

It was my first time shooting Slash, so yet again another one off the bucket list. There wasn't too many photographers in the pit, maybe 9 in total. However, saying that the fact security are all lined up in front of the band and videographers filming and dodging and darting around it was a little challenging.

It was a fiery showcase of rock mastery from Slash and his cohorts. A resounding display of rock prowess, with the legendary Guns 'N Roses guitarist and his masterful guitar riffs, accompanied by the dynamic vocals of Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, electrified the AO Arena Manchester.

Kennedy's vocals soared above the instrumentation, transitioning from powerful anthems to soulful ballads. Together with The Conspirators - Todd Kerns on bass, Brent Fitz on drums, and Frank Sidoris on rhythm guitar - they formed a tight-knit unit, each member contributing to the sonic tapestry with precision and energy.

Gettin' old by 6lack is music for a music lover's soul

As a music lover, I don't even know where to start with 6lack's gettin old. Its almost like nourishment to the heart. The lyrics are as real as a free flowing conversation without ego attached between two people who have grown fond of each other's essence. "Ima make breakfast going out is gettin old" the lyrics release simplicity and contemplation where words most likely have graced a journal... healing in mind. Melodic and witty... something 6lack does naturally. The lyrics in a way soothe... feel good words that vibrate an old soul. "I can show you something.. my lovin' never ends." I have a feeling "lovin" in this song means more than just physical. The song flows in a euphoric way with easy vibrations that you can't help but put on repeat. Definitely a summer vibe fit for your summer playlist... if this song was a color it'd be a coral halcyon underneath a somber sun. The song gives story time... I almost picture the light flowing in during the day between two souls who have connected, while breakfast seeps through the space...displayed by deep brown and cream home decor. A 90s aesthetic when words truly meant something and people spoke from a part of themselves fruitfully. That timeline where no phones to distract meant ransoming a real conversation.

6lack in my opinion is trying to cause this soul he is clearly fond of to see something deeper... feel something more than the normal. Get out of routine and allow the mind to fly in tune with the spirit. If there was ever poetry to soak in... Gettin' Old is that.

This song also gives "night drive" vibes... releasing lyrics worth inhaling like a fresh buttered bread from start to finish. You can simply feel the vibes in gettin' old... almost as if 6lack is serenading a soul you once adorned in a way where you couldn't help but to speak your truth too. 6lack... like the Brents, Drakes, and Brysons has a way of speaking to the ladies in their lyrics like their lips are made of warm whiskey on the rocks... Giving the girls "Summer anthems" Pouring out words leisurely... sure to make the ladies feel something. 6lack also, always good for music that fits a season's aesthetic. Gettin' old in my opinion grants a summer feel with a hint of spring attached.
