I love those moments when you’re reading a good book and after a while you don’t really even see the words on the page anymore, and its like you’re watching a movie in your head and you turn pages and keep reading without realizing it just watching this movie for hours on end. Vivid imagination, the written word is fully justified in having been considered magic in centuries past. Think about people hundred of years ago seeing black marks on parchment and hearing the words of someone long dead in their head as they read, if that’s not an apt description of what we consider magic i don’t know what is.

I miss tumblr...
I check my "following" and most people i follow havent been active in over 4 years... I remember tumblr years and years ago, even something like 9 years ago i was using tumblr.
I love the aspect of going to someone's page and the entire cultivated vibe of their tumblog... i loved this platform, the drama with the sale and censorship is a bummer, but i still feel a little magic here. something unique about this digital place.
Looking back through my old likes and posts... i don't want to forsake the magic in this digital place.

Quote
“I don’t believe in Him, and if He does exist, I don’t like Him. His type of gods aren’t gods who echo how mortals behave. They’re gods who are held up as example of perfection to be emulated. They’re not gods of the people. They’re remote and inaccessible, they demand blind, unthinking obedience from their followers. They’re dictators. We Aesir and Vanir, by contrast, are mirrors. Other gods rule. We reflect and magnify. We are you, only more so. We share your flaws and foibles. We are as humanlike as we are divine, and I think we are all the better for that.”
