Hello! Yes, I was wondering, do you have any idea what a binder feels like? You know, the ones for making boobs look like they aren't there? I'm writing a story that features a character who identifies as trans and I have no frame of reference for how they feel as I am not trans myself. I am sorry to ask if this sounds rude or upsets you, but I want my description to be accurate.

hi! i am so so sorry i answered late! it's not rude at all so no worries

in my experience, a binder feels like a snug hug and should be able to take deep breaths. a new binder is a little harder to put on and take off because it still hasn't 'broken in' yet, but even when new it shouldn't cause physical pain or discomfort

a person shoudnt wear a binder for more than 8 hours because it can cause damage, and they also shouldnt exercise or swim in one unless the binder itself says that it's exercise/swim friendly. i've seen a few people who bind use high-impact sports bras when they exercise and those also work but it may vary from person to person because of breast sizes

though not every trans person binds due to a variety of reasons like health problems, sensory issues, or because they can't buy one safely due to their current living situation. i don't bind that often because i was blessed with a small chest and i'm able to pass as a guy if im wearing loose enough clothing, but whenever I do bind it just brings me a sense of euphoria and a flatter appearance and i'm able to wear more form-fitting clothing without any fear of my chest showing

i finished writing a 900 word eulogy for an english assignment and it was for an oc ive been fixating on the past week very superb
