It has been eating at my brain. When building a world where the people are anthros, how would you go about things like mosquitoes biting people or birds singing and all that? Should I just surrender to the Goofy walking Pluto situation? My question really is: how do you separate the intelligence/superiority over other species in an anthro story setting? I mean, humans are animals, though we herd cattle/keep pets/etc. Would it match the same situation? I just can't tell if an audience would go along with the fact that there may be those weird situations where it doesn't fully make sense.
