Eddie, Sally, and Poppy "Acting"...
Okay, whenever I feel like I'm reaching- I'm obligated to warn you beforehand just incase as you're reading, you begin to roll your eyes and think, "Why is she going this far?"
I just so happen to think that though Sally's play "Jack and the Beanstalk" may be a slice of life audio, there's something more to it.
Poppy takes on the beanstalk, while Sally portrays Jack. Sally likely assigned Poppy the role due to her height, and Sally is Jack because she enjoys being in the spotlight, as evidenced by her fondness for climbing and seeking attention.
As Eddie recounts the story, it seems the play holds symbolic meaning. The beanstalk symbolizes the neighborhood ("down below"), while escaping represents reaching the "above," potentially the real world or Playfellow Workshop.
Eddie notes that the giant chases Jack down the beanstalk, implying Playfellow Workshop's (narrators) control to keep the puppets confined to the neighborhood.
Of course, Sally is the one that wants to go "up" she originated from above afterall. Whether that's from the sky in their world, or the real world is unclear but I'm leaning more towards the former.
Lasltly, Jack cuts the beanstalk with an axe- which Sally says she's going to do. You know, I'm not going to even go into depth with that because it would be long, but I just want you to think about all those sepculations people have made about Sally being the overseer- keeping everyone in place.
I mean she has stopped all the guest comments, AND she's the first one Eddie meets before going to homewarming. I'm not saying she's an antagonist because I refuse to believe that but I'm just saying there are signs.
That's it, that's all.

Eddie and the suspicious Narrator.
So...there's a secret site I'm pretty sure everyone knows of by now but I'll still have the link here:
If we remember the narrator from the "Happy Haunting to Boo and Yours" recording, they seemed terrifying especially at the end when they laugh maniacally. Then we have another narrator who is playing as Santa.
And spoilers if you haven't visited this site yet and do not wish to be spoiled, this is where you stop reading.
While Eddie is having a very deep and terrible derealization moment, the narrator, as Santa, is acting rather odd and triumphant whenever the commercials go to Eddie in particular. And if you've been updated with every other audio, Eddie is the only character that does not get an advertisement for his gift by Santa, nor does he actually receive any calls or gifts from his neighbors.
And we do know that Eddie does not remember where he comes from. Based on the videos from this link, I will begin to assume he came from the real world and his conscience just keeps switching from his cartoon body to his puppet body. That is why he feels like he doesn't belong.
Anyways, I think it's clear all of these different narrators are people that work in Playfellow Workshop. Time and time again, we see our neighbors subtly being antagonized by these people.

Howdy's Holiday Hullabaloo...Latter's lyrics explained + there are cities beyond the neighborhood? [Analysis/Theory]
LATTER (BROTHER): But of course, Howdy!! Oh, jubilance, oh, mirth! What a blissfully blithesome day! As it always is when I get to spend time with you, my beloved brother!
HOWDY: (comparatively unenthusiastic) Uh-huh, mm, same to you, Latter.
^So first of all, Howdy has a huge family that lives elsewhere- a city from what it seems like. And by what we hear, Howdy and his brother Latter do not get along in particular.
LATTER (BROTHER): Inhospitable! Supercilious! And, unbearably contentious! This blizzarding apocalypse-oh hold on... acropolis, providing a holiday hypothesis--Where doth thine yonder window break? Probably by a hippopotamus…
^I'll be breaking these lyrics down:
First, he uses these argumentative words to describe the possible blizzard they're in (because it's winter for them, on the welcome home site the restoration team says they made a mistake and meant for this update to be in December as opposed to March)
Next, he mentions "acropolis" which translates to "high city" in Greek. So from this revelation, we now know there are cities and other neighborhoods beyond THIS neighborhood we currently know and love.
Then, "Providing a holiday hypothesis"; he's describing the holiday homewarming that is currently being celebrated.
And, "Where doth thine yonder window break?"; this line is a playful and poetic twist on Shakespeare's famous line from Romeo and Juliet: "But soft, what light through yonder window breaks?" It's a reimagining of the original, and suggesting that the window is breaking instead of letting in light.
Lastly, "Probably by a hippopotamus…"; that was a random line, a non sequitor if you will but it seems that Latter is subtly trying to say not only does he barely like his brother Howdy, but he also thinks his shop is a joke. No pun intended.
HOWDY: (SUNG)
Truth be told, his writin’ fill me with a certain dread… (Howdy also disliking Latter's occupation)
Now, Latter here’s a poet,
Or at least that’s what he says! (Howdy mocking Latter)
But even ramblin’ on and on (Howdy is fed up with Latter's voice)
He’s family, through and through! So I’ll bear with it, just today, for…The Ho-li-day Hull-a-ba-loo! (He's still keeping into consideration that Latter is family and turns the other cheek)
GAM-GAM SALLY TATIONS (GRANDMA): I told you all that big city fast-talkin’ isn’t good for ya!
So...we have another mention of there being a city, of which Howdy's family may have? originated from. This means we now know Howdy came from another region and moved to the neighborhood.
Excellent! So in addition to Sally falling from the heavens, Julie formerly living in a cave with her siblings, and Eddie not remembering where he came from, we now know Howdy used to live in the city.
That just opens up more speculation on these characters backgrounds.

The Homewarming audio reveals and exposes a lot about the neighbors characters. [ANALYSIS]
1.) First things first; The neighbors can interact with the narrator. But considering puppet shows usually involve the puppets interacting with the narrator, (like Sesame Street for example) I don't know if that's a big deal or not.
2.) BARNABY: (Barnaby pipes up at the Narrator.) Hey, keep it down up there! Some of us are tryin’ to do some serious cerebratin’ down here!
^As above, so below reference again.
3.) JULIE: (Whispered.) Frank’s right… Homewarming is about making sure your house is nice, cozy, and toasty. Right before I go to sleep for a very long time, I make a big nest from my bed just like I used to do back home when I was small- A lot of pillows and blankets and leaves and sticks…
^Her background when she used to live in a cave.
4.) HOWDY: Advice?! …You know I don’t got any’a that for sale, Barn! Not unless it’s to buy, buy, buy-!
^Hmmm, consumerism is what he's advocating.
5.) HOWDY: Frank?! (Howdy Scoffs loudly)
^So far, Frank is wary of Wally, Sally is blatantly disrespectful to Eddie, and now we see Howdy possibly doesn't think of Frank as a close neighbor. What's with all the animosity?
6.) HOWDY: That’s right! Trinkets even! It’s about what you give to other folks! The bigger, the shinier, and the more expensive the better! It’s about the razzle and dazzle! Go on, Barn, tell ‘em!
^We see here that Howdy is materialistic- which is odd considering he only asks for a joke in exhange for his services but then we get...this side of him.
7.) Frank said Homewarming is just a home that's warm, Howdy said it was gifts for Home. Sally says Homewarming is about the ambience, decor, and experience. Poppy says it's for dishes.
^Frank is logical- too literal, Howdy is materialistic, Sally enjoys the spotlight, and Poppy is a foodie.
8.) Wally even tossed the slice of poppy-seed ham into the flames and listened for a sound of approval
^Although it's revealed Home preferred the company of Wally and Barnaby instead of all the gifts in the end, this one specific action Wally did seemed oddly...sacrifical. Like offering food to a higher being.
I still don't think Home is an antagonist, personally. My money is still on Playfellow Workshop.
9.) WALLY: (He sounds frustrated and confused.) …How can that be.
^Apparently, Barnaby couldn't hear it but Wally's voice gets distorted when overwhelmed, just like it did when he tried speaking to YOU or...the Question-Answerer.
10.) AND! Eddie was never mentioned, not once, in this audio- which makes me think this is in correlation to the Wishbook audio recording where "Santa Claus" fails to talk about Eddie, and only Eddie.

Beta Wally....?
Now before I start, I know I said this would be posted specifically before 2024, but due to me having a bad habit of procrasination, it just never happened. I'll try not to let my bad habit win the next time I try to post something!
As I said in my update, I wanted to talk about Beta Wally; the Wally before our current Wally. This current version of Welcome Home is extremely creative, with all of the voicelines, easter eggs, the restoration team, the holiday updates- just the intelliigence of it all is amazing.
However, I wish I could've seen, alternatively, how the website would be like with Beta Wally. I tend to ponder on that sometimes because Beta Wally was an...interesting character.
Well, the man was evil. I think we can agree on that. So had Clown decided to go with his former version of Wally, it would probably be a lot more scarier. Our current Welcome Home is a horror project likely because of the company PlayFellow Workshop itself, but I think if we had Beta Wally, it would be a horror project because of WALLY.
From what we know, Wally was a dark character in the non-canon version. He supposedly created Barnaby- my guess is it was an act of rebellion, "I know I'm a puppet, but I can take one of you puppeteers and reverse our roles; how about that?" is the vibes I got, personally.
Tumblr media
Then there was the picture where he asks,
Tumblr media
When he asked, from what was once daytime outside his window became pitch black. If that event, according to that storyline, happened after he created Barnaby which I'm sure it is- then he just asked that question to be morbid. So now we know Beta Wally also liked dark humor.
We all know that famous picture of Wally doing the baphomet pose. I, and many others, have thought this to be that he likes being "The Most" to a point where he desires to be in control. Worship if you will. I guess that's what happens when you're the prey, you'd just prefer being the predator.
Tumblr media
There was also a very important character named Sunny. If my memory serves me correctly, he was a bird similar to Poppy. Sunny seemed to be the "Frank" in that storyline. What I mean by that is, our Frank is usually the first to act accordingly, and is a very logical puppet that wants the best for his friends- that is how Sunny is in the old storyline.
There is a photo of Wally's hand reaching towards Sunny's head in a threatening manner:
Tumblr media
The "We're all going to get rid of it for good!" being repeated in a cult-like manner, is the result of mental manipulation by Wally I reckon. I just don't think Sunny was about to put up with him, even if it meant he had to be dismantled.
And if you remember Frank laying down in a pile of discarded puppet pieces, there's a similar vibe going on except neither Wally or Home is the villain in our current storyline.
Tumblr media
This is the creepiness I'm talking about. Somehow his eyes in the old artwork is a lot scarier! And the puppeteer forcefully putting flowers on his head? Wally is charmed and yet not. His eyes looks like he wants to praise the puppeteer for gracing him with beauty but also unalive him at the same time.
And generally, Beta Wally just seemed like a sassy character. Despite his venomous nature, I'm sure he would've been hilarious.
Tumblr media
Yes, you definitely ring alarm bells that alerts us of how much of a danger you are, Wally dear. Even your shirt has the same colors as a vintage TV that's in error!
Anyways, that's all I really wanted to talk about. I just like pondering on what could've been.
If you've made it this far, you're the most! Ha. Ha. Ha.

Ring Ring Ring...
Hello? Hellooooooo~?
Just a small update because I don't want to be one of those people who disappear without a trace, leaving their followers to wonder what could have possibly happened.
Future theories and observations will come out during the time Clown updates the website (which, according to him, is speculated to be in January if I remember correctly)
HOWEVER, there is one more post in the works that will come out before this year is over and it will be about the former version of Welcome Home! Although obviously not related in any way to the new and improved version, it looked like it could've been an interesting plot and I so desperately want to talk about it! So that's what I am doing right now, and then more about our current version will be posted around the same time Clown updates!
Stay tuned!

There you are! Welcome Home!
Masterlist for all Welcome Home theories/analyses made by me!
For anyone new, I have to warn you that I personally like to think I may be reaching too far in some of these, so take this with a grain of salt should you decide to read it! This is all just for fun and none of this may even be remotely accurate guesses to the plot whatsoever!
I also wanted to mention, this space is made for those of you who are focused on the actual plotline of Welcome Home and genuinely want to discuss things as opposed to fanart, OC's, and all of that! Those things are delightful and all, but this is a blog where the actual storyline is examined! So for anyone looking for that, you have found the place!

YOU!!!
I like your theories, and they are well made
Good job at thinking about this stuff :)
Thank you so much! I try not to go in too deep, because I'm almost certain I've been reaching in a couple of them but I appreciate that you're fond of them! I will make more, whenever Clown updates or whenever I just, I don't know, notice something! So far I'm in the midst of creating a masterlist so people don't have to scroll up and down! I do have one more theory in the works that will come out sometime next week!
Thank you so much again! You're such a delight!

About Wally's Costume...
No, Wally ain't wearing a devil costume because he's evil (he has in fact, been brought to slight insanity given his circumstances though)
He's wearing it because it represents how he is quietly defying the authority. And who's the authority? The company and/or puppeteers of Playfellow Workshop. I mean that's what I THINK his costume means.
So at the time of the Halloween video, you see Wally eat with his eyes by biting an apple. Of course in religious context, that as we all know, symbolizes gaining knowledge. So was it on that VERY Halloween that he's gained his eye eating ability? And all other audios and videos we see of him are months AFTER this incident?
We should start thinking about the timelines but that's another topic.
Point is, he's always had an extra sense. And he doesn't eat apples. He just likes to hold them. So the fact he took a bite compliments the "gaining forbidden knowledge" theory. Even though most of the old art with religious themes were taken away, it seems like Clown has decided to incorporate bits and pieces into the new canonical plot.
In the words of Willy Wonka,
"So you're the little devil that cracked the system?" -Probably Playfellow Workshop to Wally before the show abruptly ended.
The revolution cannot be televised after all. But it will be in this current era! No more silencing!
The true devil is the narrator who was cackling like a demon at the end of the narration. A Playfellow Workshop member. I'm rooting for Wally and the WHRP to absolutely annihilate everything Playfellow Workshop stands for once the story is like, 90% completed.
What's hidden in the darkness shall be exposed in the light. Don't forget to wave down below from hell.

Sally's Monster Allegory
The Halloween update gave us some insight on Playfellow Workshop AND the Restoration Team. And as always, I'm here to theorize on that.
Firstly, Sally's "Macabre Menagerie of Monstrous Mischief Making". A menagerie is a place where animals are kept and trained especially for exhibition. Sally tells a story about "visitors" these unknown creatures which wander around the forest at night, hungry and unsatisfied but that's a rare instance.
I feel like Sally's Halloween idea and her story go hand in hand.
The story sounds like a subtle hint towards Playfellow Workshop being power hungry, thus the menagerie. Let's be hypothetical: Pretend the animals are actually the neighbors being KEPT and TRAINED (like a puppeteer working a puppet) for the exhibition or rather the show.
But also, an exhibition is a public display of art. Just like the rooms that the Restoration Team uses to place remnants of the show upon the walls and floors.
What I'm saying is, besides Playfellow Workshop being the antagonists, I heavily believe that the Restoration Team aren't saints either. Only that ONE member I keep referencing, that Wally tries to talk to. Like I said, the black sheep of the team.
The updates (News page) on the website, do you ever notice how odd the WHRP sounds sometimes? They talk as if they're Playfellow Workshop. They are merely the founders of the project, not the company itself but why do they talk like they are? (They're not, but it's still weird)
On February 25th, there was an update as we all know but did you notice this at the end?
Tumblr media
So this definitely comes full circle to Sally's Halloween idea. I did make a theory stating if Sally knew she was in a show, she would want the show to go on (even though it didn't) as a puppet, she's powerless in this situation. But that doesn't mean she can't have an opinion on it...
And yes, this makes the question-answerer suspicious.
Because who's spending all their money to invest in a whole museum just for some old children's show remnants that hardly anybody knows of to this day? Opening up a museum, according to research, costs 100k-500k. The question-answerer is rich. I wonder what their previous job was...
In fact, as the question-answerer, why do they have an exhibition role instead of simply working on the website?
And then the narrator telling the story is able to interact with the neighbors AND THE NEIGHBORS CAN HEAR. I was under the impression that it was a silly thing of "creator interacts with the creation" but hearing the way the narrator laughed like that at the end? That was...TOO scary?
Sally also said in her story that you can hear the monster outside but you can't see it. So some of the neighbors can hear beyond their reality, they just can't see what's going on (except Wally to an extent because he has reality-eating eyes)
So, "Sally's Macabre Menagerie of Monstrous Mischief Making"? Nah, how about "Sally's Monster Allegory". Gee thanks for the hints, Sally!

Wally's Nocturnal Plea
I just...thought of something. We know Wally's completely out of it in the audios with his friends, only snapping back to life when they say his name. It's clear the reason is because he's having a derealization moment. Everybody know this, it's not some big secret.
Buuuuut....I couldn't help but wonder, when EXACTLY Wally tries to reach out to his person. It's canon that he can't sleep. He just makes an effort by saying, "I'm sleeping, I'm sleeping, I'm sleeping" so it would make him nocturnal right? Then...
The specific time he tries to contact his person would be at night which is why they never seem to "answer him".
TLDR; Wally communicates with the RESTORATION TEAM member at night, leading them to having dreams of Wally because that's one of his methods of communication. So Wally waits for his neighbors in his own reality to be asleep in order to try to breach realities and connect with the RESTORATION TEAM member.
It's possible that the solitude during nighttime compels him to attempt this connection, only to become unresponsive when his friends speak his name during the day.
And it's pretty smart on Clown making a correlation between Wally and his person. Wally reacts in the daytime by feeling disconnected, and the RESTORATION TEAM member reacts in the daytime by feeling disconnected.
So yeah. Just throwin' that out there. Another reason why he's high as a kite, because of his failed attempts during the night.

The Tar of Wally's Anguish.
A theory on what the black substance from the staff page is.
My theory is that the black tar-like substance might be a metaphysical manifestation of Wally's suppressed angst leaking into the real world to influence that one special restoration team member.
Like my theory on why he eats with his eyes, the more eyes he has, the more he can EAT HIS WAY THROUGH OUR REALITY causing that substance (his anguish manifested) to form.
The physical/psychological effects on the person (them hallucinating & having dreams of Wally) is intended to symbolize Wally's objective to make himself known to this person, outside of Welcome Home; just to finally make some sense of his situation hence "Let me in".
Aaaand look at one of his many eyes within the substance!
Tumblr media
The more stressed and hungry (for info) he is, the more that substance grows and spreads like a virus. That also explains why we see it leaking out of Home. It's...honestly so sad.
Why is it specifically affecting that one person out of all the members? Probably because he/she is the primary person reaching out to Wally "the most". Perhaps that's why Wally says "There you are! Welcome Home!"
How Wally gained consciousness is still unknown but I THINK we now know how he semi-entered our realm.
The person drawing Wally "many times" as he says, helped contributed to his many eyes. 2. Wally's existential dread is severe to the point that it not only manifested in Home but also through his eyes, which he uses to devour through our reality in a state of desperation, thus causing the substance to seep in as well.
And there we have it. Our restoration team member is actually the reason why he's able to (sort of) come into contact with our world. And the effects on her/him is also experiencing Wally's stress. Unfortunately.
Yeah so half of this is their fault for interacting with Wally in the first place, lmao. But anything to help our poor fella.

The Enigmatic Nature of Wally's Eating Habit: A Deeper Meaning
\Wally eats with his eyes, we know this. That slice of cake Poppy gave him? Yeah, she just handed it to him but it's already gone. Or what about the roasted potatoes Eddie shared with him? He took 7 minutes to eat, but Wally took 0.02 seconds.
I REALLY do not think this is a mere fascinating aspect of his character for us to marvel at. There's something else to it especially since he's the main puppet character with knowledge...or rather the lack thereof.
We're also aware that he likes to stare; to make sure there's a mutual understanding. My theory is, aside from it being literal, it's also a metaphor for his desire to consume and absorb knowledge.
And that folks, is why he's so determined to communicate with that one special restoration team member, via eyes. Remember what he said about having many eyes, and even drawing them? Wally uses an eye-staring tactic; a psychological strategy to get YOU to "answer him" which is why it's so intense.
That is the connection. His staring and otherworldly (literally at that) ability to eat with his eyes. These two traits are the key components of his overall desire to receive "answers".
So it's not just some weird quirk after all.

The show must go wrong ON!⭐
A theory about Wally's friendship with Sally.
I remember in the past, people were speculating that Wally may not like Sally because in the guestbook he answers a comment by saying, "I know Sally" which has a different connotation unlike how he speaks about the rest the neighbors with compliments.
Let's just make this short (it's not) and sweet: If we're going by my current theory that Wally has a vendetta against Playfellow Workshop, it would make sense that he holds slight resentment towards Sally because she, herself, is an aspiring actress. Sally always aspires to create plays whereas Wally remains stuck, aware of his position and it must suck knowing that you are a fictional creation yet you have a friend who's dedicated to the art of acting, while you particularly dislike it.
She, in essence, is a constant reminder of the pseudo reality they're in.
Now, I don't think Wally hates Sally at all. He loves all his neighbors, he's said it himself. I just think she's probably his least loved neighbor, because of what I mentioned above.
I've also seen theories in the past that Wally and Sally might be in competition with each other based on who's more favored. But given how distressed Wally canonically is, I don't think he considers his reputation but rather how he can depart his fabricated world. He may have had some self-satisfaction being the MOST before all of this though (given the interview where he happily says "I am!").
But ah. Sally Starlet. What do you guys suppose she's hiding?
Look at this.
Tumblr media
Notice how SHE was the one assigned to stop the visitor comments from coming. Now of course, this is because Clown the creator received an overwhelming amount of comments but from a story perspective, this may just hint at something greater.
I am under the impression that if Sally also found out she was in a show, she would want the show to go on (hence her stopping the comments) instead of reaching out like Wally. And if this canonically happened, I am certain Wally wouldn't be...pleased.
Oh, and as others have noticed that Frank is the only name to lack the "e" sound at the end, observe that both Wally and Sally's names only have a single letter change. Then, their last names contain an equal amount of letters: seven. The number seven implying completion/perfection.
Sally, coming to the neighborhood as a shooting star like an angel we all know about. And what did this angel desire again? Furthermore, egoists hide behind a mask of self assurance when they're really apprehensive. Not to say Sally has no genuine courage but it's clear her confidence goes a little too far. And for what?
In conclusion, Wally's attitude towards Sally isn't because of possible competing, but rather because of who she reminds him of. And if there was any competing, it was likely before Wally...escaped the matrix.
Sally: I am simply perfect!
Wally: But I'm the most~!

The only trustable characters in WH at this point are Frank, Eddie, and Poppy.
Frank is the most rational and level-headed of the neighbors. Trustworthy beyond a doubt. Even if you believe the theory that he is merely a human being in disguise as an attempt to delve into the origins of the neighborhood (a theory put forth by Game Theory) he still would not be considered a threat, just someone who is attempting to uncover the truth.
Eddie, (aside from Poppy) is one of the most overworked characters. While listening to the audios, it's apparent that Sally, Julie, and Barnaby do not consider Eddie's autonomy. They coerce him to carry objects for their amusement without obtaining his approval first. Barnaby frequently chases him (in a playful manner, however Eddie declination fell to deaf puppy ears) Eddie is struggling, stressed, and uneasy regarding his circumstances. Furthermore, he's said to be unaware of his origins (feel free to correct me, it might've been Frank's profile that says that)
Poppy is plagued by a perpetual state of concern to the point of shedding feathers. She can't seem to find peace despite her passion for baking, which temporarily soothes her angst. Poppy is never quite right; she is frequently flustered and frazzled, somewhat like Eddie but in a different way. Their plight is heartbreaking, as they are both endearing individuals in constant distress.
They are not okay.
But notice how they're the only ones who aren't disoriented like the other characters. A green flag if you will!

Theory theory theory
Wally couldn't see us through the site!
An audio popped up as you listen in fright!
"Let me in!" is what he proclaimed.
"No...!" You exclaimed.
Oh look there!
There's now a plush of him you can buy!
If you so happen to get it on time...
Let the Welcome Home story begin,
Because by doing that, you officially just let him in.
