I have an 80s rock song stuck in my head- Iām unable to recall the title, any of the lyrics, or whether itās by Aerosmith, Journey, or Bon Jovi, but itās any one of those bands my aunt and uncle raised me on. Itās got an extensive guitar opening, a distinct riff, andĀ āsparklyā-sounding synth with a repeated sample that goes all playful during the catchy chorus parts. Mid-tempo. I can hum the opening few lines but donāt know any of the words. Itās driving me insane cuz I have to identify the song to get it out of my head, butā¦ I canātā¦
In college I would have turned to reddit for help, but that place went to the dogs years ago. And Iām NOT about to record a voice memo of me sounding like an idiot for help IDing the song, so Iām stuck.Ā Iāve tried going on YouTube jaunts starting from similar 80s rock songs and clicking onrelated songs Iām less familiar withĀ and listening to snippets to try and land on it like that, but no dice. I know that if I heard the opening riff I could confirm it in two seconds, just from those specific guitar chords, but I canāt find it!! And looking up lyrics databases doesnāt help either.
Itās an uplifting-sounding song, sounds like Steve Perry but it could be Steve Tyler or Jon Bon Jovi, just really echoey?? The opening lyrics sound phonetically likeĀ āI (feel/hear) (three more syllables)ā, then those three chords, then another phrase. Sounds like it could be the credits song to a hit 80s film. If Armageddon were a much happier movie, Iād just assume it was an Aerosmith hit from Armageddon. ThatĀ āsparklyā synth is so hard to describe but itās definitely there. Hnnggggg. Maybe I should do some more random YouTube clicksā¦

My Steven Universe enamel pin Kickstarter has just launched and smashed through all of its goals except one! This Kickstarter has been a long time in the making and Iām really hoping to get Spinel (she spins!) funded so that I can make more designs! Can you tell Iām not handling the show ending very well?
I appreciate any and all forms of support! Link to the project is below!
