BG3 fans: what animals do you associate with Gale, Karlach, and Wyll?
I'm planning on making a thing. My evil Tav did not get along with these three well enough for me to confidently assign fursonas for them, so I figured I would check if there is a fandom consensus before proceeding.
EDIT: Thank you for the responses, everyone! I enjoyed reading your thoughts... and I am now working on the thing.

N...Neopets AU Hyden......bro would be the first cybunny to end up in the Gallery of Evil
Tumblr media
Gallery of Evil - Lord Hyden
Lord Hyden was advisor and high court wizard to Lord Darigan, serving under him alongside Lord Kass during the events of Champions of Meridell. Scheming, duplicitous, and power-hungry, the Cybunny advisor had his own motives, playing the two against each other and eventually assisting Kass during his hostile takeover of Darigan Citadel. However, when Kass fell and the citadel was reclaimed, Lord Hyden was nowhere to be found.
Some say he was defeated during the battle. Others say Lord Darigan sentenced him to jail for his crimes during the war and that he is currently being held in a high-security prison cell deep within the citadel. Still others claim he fled after his betrayal was discovered and is currently living in disguise, hiding somewhere in Neopia.
Some years after his disappearance, rumors began to circulate of a powerful Kyrii wizard taking up residence in an old castle in the Haunted Woods. It is said that he offers travelers dark spells in return for signing dubious magical contracts. Could there be any relation...?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Additional period-appropriate art of this totally real Neopets character. First is him during his Darigan years with his evil bride Milana... er, "mate", sorry child-friendly censors! Second is him post Mutant Kyrii-fication, lording over his "neutral gray with transparent black shading" evil castle in the Haunted Woods.

Redrew a scene from Succession with @kwillow and I's guys, as ya do. Tom's mentor-slash-deranged tormentor relationship with Greg reminds me a little bit of these two.

A new meet the artist thing. I should never draw these in winter though, my Marine Layer jacket may be stylish but my true form will always be shorts and a tank top.

Oh Anon you just gave me the justification to draw something that I've been wanting to draw for a VERY long time. I don't know when I'll actually have time to do it because I'm in Convention Art Cram Mode and still dealing with the horrors right now but... now it's definitely going to happen instead of maybe someday going to happen. :)

Hyden and Deliria for elephantbroFA on Twitter! Trying to cut a deal with a genie can be risky, but trying to do cut a deal with a Hyden might be an even worse idea.

Answering this in TWO PARTS because I have a lot of thoughts! CLICK HERE FOR PART 1.
PART 2: FALLOUT 'VERSE (Frank's default setting)
Warning that this one gets a little weird (gross) at the end (maybe more than a little).
Tumblr media
The one scenario where I could see them interacting at length would be Fallout AU. I've talked about Fallout AU Hyden before, but to sum him up, he's a pre-war scientist turned brain in a jar remote controlling a synth body. Unfortunately, hundreds of years of deteriorating hardware and brain-meat have degraded the connection to the point where his synth body is basically completely numb. In this setting, he wouldn't have the luxury of being picky about allies (especially since he's double-crossed half the groups in the wasteland during his artificially long life). So I could see him grubbing around with someone like Frank under this circumstance. Frank is a scavenger, after all. He can help Hyden find materials he needs to repair his system and can be paid in food--something Hyden has limited use for. That makes him useful. (Also he couldn't smell Frank with his senses numbed, which would improve their relationship.)
Fallout AU Frank would think this brain-in-a-jar guy is weird as heck. Frank considers pre-war people "good", so Hyden would have that point in his favor, but is distrustful of non-humans, including synths. He'd probably have some trouble understanding exactly what Hyden is. He'd start to get it after watching Hyden "die" and come back with a new synth body a few times. He'd think that was extremely untrustworthy behavior, though. Things are supposed to die when you kill them. Not doing that is… wrong.
But Frank is a simple creature, and can be convinced to look the other way on moral failings like being a weird unkillable robot clone (or something) if you grease his palms… or rather, his mouth. If Hyden proved himself to be a reliable quest-giving NPC who rewarded him with man-dog treats for delivering scrap metal and computer components, he could come to be at ease around him, even if he still thought he was weird and sketchy. And he'll even agree to some of Hyden's more perplexing requests, like when he wants to sit there awkwardly watching him eat macaroni for an hour and interrupting him every few bites asking what the macaroni "feels" like. Frank doesn't get it, but hey, a free dinner's a free dinner. Maybe that's just what it's like being friends with a robot.
Tumblr media
…Though, I did some googling, and… great news! Apparently synths are made of lab-grown meat and CAN be eaten with the cannibal perk! That… certainly opens up some INCREDIBLY dysfunctional paths for this relationship to take! Two morally bankrupt, empathy deficient weirdos, one of which is an obedient, social-cue-blind cannibal and one of which is an unkillable completely off the rails masochist. Good lord. Here's an alternate version of that last image with very offcolor joke (I mean it).

Answering this in TWO PARTS because I have a lot of thoughts! CLICK HERE FOR PART 2.
PART 1: AMARANTHINE 'VERSE (Hyden's default setting)
Tumblr media
Interesting question! Kwillow and I have, of course, contemplated such things at length. The problem is that Frank is so far below Hyden, status-wise, that he may as well be completely invisible. A dopey dirt-farming peasant slurring his words while he mucks out the cow pens would basically be furniture as far as Hyden is concerned. He'd hardly ever come in contact with someone of that social class, especially in his later years. Even when he was younger and did visit small towns and farming villages regularly, he was far more concerned with the mayors and innkeepers (or, even better, the mayors' and innkeepers' starstruck daughters and wives) than with grubby average Joes like Frank. Hyden's only interested in relationships that are "useful" and it would be hard to imagine what "use" he'd have for someone like Frank.
Frank's opinion of Hyden would vary depending on what he'd heard about him. If he was a humble, rural peasant who had heard great things about Hyden's benevolence and great magical skill (as many humble peasants did during his Royal Mage years), he might be view him as cool celebrity here to save the day. Frank tends toward hero-worship and loves to build wildly inaccurate, idealized versions of those heroes in his head. A powerful wizard who he only ever saw once from a distance would be perfect fodder for that. He has an impressive capability to self-delude, rationalizing away any evidence that his chosen hero might not be as great as he thinks they are.
Tumblr media
However, an actual one on one conversation with Hyden would probably dissolve that impression pretty fast. Frank doesn't like people who are promiscuous, who lie, and who drink heavily. Hyden has all those vices and many, many more. He'd find Hyden's intense personality and loose morals deeply uncomfortable, once he got to know him.

Tumblr media
Thank you very much! They're a ton of fun to make and I have endless ideas for more. I'm cooking up several new sets of them for the conventions I'm tabling at this summer (Furlandia 2024, Anthro Weekend Utah 2024, possibly Denfur 2024). Expect a big post showing them off in the next month or so, but for now, here's another sneak peek. :)

Can I give hyden a nice manicure after his wax therapy? With like sparkly polish and everything.
I think in my personal opinion he needs that
Tumblr media
He needs SOMETHING after the hot wax therapy. I don't know if this is exactly it but it's worth a shot. His nails do look good in gold.

God, Human!Hyden reminds me Logan Roy (and that is a compliment!) What do you think - would Brian Cox do him justice in an Amaranthine Netflix Series?
Ohh as if I needed ANOTHER reason to watch Succession. It's been on my to-watch list forever... sounds like I need to bump it up in priority. I watched a few clips of him and yeah, I absolutely see the overlap (he's even got the thick dark eyebrows with otherwise white hair!).
I always imagined Hyden's voice being a more melodramatic and cartoonish (Marvelous Chester Dark Souls and the main villain guy whose name I can never remember from FF14 are the most accurate "voiceclaims" I've found so far) but Brian Cox does a great weary, bitter, entitled old rich asshole voice which would also be very fitting for his character. So, he'd do a good job, yeah.
