the bond between mutuals who only share one or two fandoms is stronger than an entire fandom combined… I do not know what you are blogging about but you are right, pip-pip and bing-bong are homosexuals who crave blood and understanding and I will heart that in support

🔥+jealousy bc i need to fuel my anti-jealous eddie tag
godd, i hate fandom's obsession with jealous!eddie. mostly because it's not even true to his character, because 90% of the time, he actually doesn't give a fuck about buck's relationships (beyond being protective when he thinks buck is gonna get hurt). and i've seen people say that him being jealous of buck/tommy is the only narrative device that can be employed to get him to realize his feelings, but i just...don't agree? for one thing, i'm firmly of the opinion that eddie on some level recognizes what he feels for buck, he just genuinely does not believe that he has a chance, regardless of whether buck is straight or not. for another thing, even if eddie weren't aware, i don't think jealousy is the correct device to use here because then the question arises (for me, at least), why wasn't he this threatened by buck's other (more serious) relationships? because we're tipping dangerously close back into the rhetoric that buck's relationship with tommy is So Much More Special and Amazing because tommy is a man, which, i think i've made my feelings very clear on how biphobic and misogynistic i think that sentiment is. and i don't think eddie is gonna automatically start wondering why buck isn't considering him as an option just because he likes men. i think eddie's issues with self-worth run way too deep for him to reach that level of...conceited? i guess is the word. anyway, all this is to say i just don't think it's true to his character lmao.

🔥 + if 911 killed someone off who should go
are we talking within both the main and recurring cast, or just the mains? if it's the former, josh can be the one to go 🤷🏽‍♀️ if it's the latter...bobby i love you so much but you'll have to go :(

🔥bobby
hm, i don't actually know if i have any unpopular bobby opinions! i do think i'd like to see how his continued struggles with his past might affect his new family in ways that may not necessarily be positive, if that makes sense. i think that would be an interesting conflict to explore, but idk.

🔥911 season 3
i actually like the lawsuit arc. the way it's done is not realistic in the slightest, don't get me wrong. and i hate the way fandom blew it up into this big thing that it never was. but as a lover of conflict and drama and mess, the lawsuit arc was very delicious for me to watch, actually, as short-lived as it was.

🔥 + eddie <3
i think there's this weird tendency in the fandom to use eddie's not being completely healed from the grief of losing shannon as an example of him regressing or whatever which is...very strange to me? eddie knew shannon since he was fourteen years old. his relationship with her was one of his most significant ones. he's never gonna stop grieving her loss. and there's a lot of other massive trauma and guilt linked to the way their relationship played out while she was still alive that's preventing him from moving on completely. but this really isn't regression? eddie has been taking active steps to try and heal from this particular chapter of his life. idk. i just think it's Interesting that fandom can understand the concept of 'healing isn't linear' when it comes to buck making the same mistake for the 2839248th time in the row, but eddie grieving his wife who died an untimely and tragic death is where we draw the line, apparently.

🔥. buckley parents
been seeing a lot of opinions here that the buckley parents are homophobic (and therefore buck should kiss tommy in front of them to piss them off or whatever), but honestly...i doubt that they are? i mean, they very well could be. but...you'd think that if they were homophobic, they'd be conservative in other ways, like...i don't know, having a problem with their daughter living with a man she's not married to, having a baby with him out of wedlock, and said partner not being a white man. but they never took issue with any of that, so...i don't see why they should care about this, either. the buckley parents are fucking terrible in a very unique and specific manner. just....not in this way. (also, i'll be surprised if they even have any kind of major role to play in 7x06)

🔥 + Buck being Chris’ other dad
buck isn't chris' other dad. not yet. there's obviously a lot of set-up and a very good foundation for him to become that in an official capacity—his relationship with chris is certainly not the typical relationship between 'best friend of the parent and their kid'—buck obviously occupies a very special and important place in the diaz boys' life. but he isn't chris' other dad. eddie is the one who is actually raising him, providing for him, feeding him, having the difficult conversations with him, helping him cope with his traumas and struggles, etc. buck is not in that place, yet. of course, eddie has invited him, occasionally, to be in that place—like when he asked buck to talk to chris about dating. but it's not a position that buck is currently equipped to take on unilaterally without eddie's input. i'd also go one step further to say that it's not guaranteed that chris would immediately be okay with buck stepping into a parental position in his life, once he and eddie get together. this season has proven that his abandonment issues run deep, and they haven't been solved magically by shannon's letter. it will likely be a long and difficult road for all of them.

🔥 + maddie :)
i'm gonna be honest, maddie's conversation with hen in 6x16 kinda disappointed me because it made a really good point about maddie's difficulty in reconnecting with the people in her life after she came back from boston; and that would have been such a good and interesting aspect to explore outside of a single throwaway line. because, let's be real, maddie didn't exactly have a lot going on in this season until death and taxes. and i just feel like she (and chim) should have been given a lot more, individually and together, given the fact that they weren't there for a good portion of s5. idk. i just feel like it would have made the proposal at the end a lot more satisfying.

i wish this fandom could just dislike things without having to make them problematic. you can not like the idea of tommy being a stepping stone to buddie, doesn’t make it morally reprehensible. you can hope that eddie has a completely separate sexuality storyline away from buck, doesn’t mean anyone who wants something different is homophobic or disrespectful. like just be normal i’m begging

i'm gonna be honest, i do not think buck in any way, shape, size or form considers eddie as a option for him right now (romantically). i'd even go further and say that he does not even WANT to consider eddie as an option at all. and i do think if the possibility were ever somehow presented to him, he would fight against it and repress it like hell.
