Chapter 9 - Loving you
Due to how demanding their internships during the first year were, it was really hard to get some free time. However, Oboro convinced his friends to have lunch together on a Saturday.
The young trainees were laughing hearing Hizashi telling a story about how he and Midnight screwed things up during a mission when three pro heroes entered the place and people started to murmur and look at them with admiration. Although they were young, their talent, charm, and appearance had made them quite popular. The heroes were about to sit when they recognized Kaori's pink hair and didn't hesitate to say hello.
“You've gotta be kidding me! Look who's here!"
Hizashi, Oboro, and Aizawa observed as Kaori's cheeks automatically blushed. And who could have blamed her? There was no one who didn't have a crush on those three heroes, even Hizashi and Oboro who were almost drooling looking at them.
It was the very first time the guys had seen Kaori acting like that in front of a boy. No matter how attractive the people who had asked her out at the academy were, she rejected them without thinking. But in that moment, she could barely make eye contact with them.
“Senpais, what a pleasure” She greeted politely.
“Nice to see your beautiful cotton candy hair again so soon!” Another of them said touching the girl's head, which instinctively caused Aizawa's body to tense up.
“What the hell's going on here? Why do you know them?” Hizashi asked, being as reckless and indiscreet as ever.
“A few nights ago I had to cover for someone at the agency, I got lost and ended up in the area where they patrol.”
“And why don't you know them if you guys work at the same agency, Shota?” The blonde asked, looking at Aizawa, who simply responded that he was attending another emergency.
“Kaori's wonderful! Despite being so young, she took care of everything herself. If the boss had seen you in action, he'd have asked you to work with us.” Said the third hero. “I mean, Endeavor has a very good eye for choosing his sidekicks.”
Kaori looked so embarrassed but flattered at the same time, that Oboro couldn't help but laugh as he hugged her.
“Kari, aren't you going to introduce us?"
"Oh, yes! I'm sorry! These are Eraser Head, Present Mic, and Loud Cloud.” Hizashi and Oboro stood up and bowed their heads while Aizawa barely lowered his.
“Do you mind if we sit with you? This place's crowded. We'll be colleagues, it's always good to know who you'll be working with.”
While Oboro and Hizashi received them kindly and were even excited to be able to share a table with heroes as important as them, Shota seemed surly, stony, and highly disinterested in the conversation. He was internally grateful to be out of soda, as that would give him a perfect excuse to get up and walk away from the table at least for a few minutes.
“Shota, wait for me! I also need to refill it!
As Kaori stood up, her sweater fell and the hero who had touched her hand kindly took it, cleaned it, and put it on the girl's shoulder.
Hizashi and Oboro laughed at her face; however, that action had been the worst trigger for Aizawa, who walked faster. Once in front of the drinks, the girl kept smiling.
“The food's delicious, don't you think, Shota? We'd have listened to Hizashi when he recommended this place to us the first time.”
“It's lousy. The meat isn't well seasoned and the vegetables are raw. It'd have been better to eat at home.”
“Come on, don't be that harsh."
“You didn't tell me you had worked with anyone else that night.”
“I forgot, when I returned to the agency they assigned us more jobs. But don't you think it's great that we can share the table with them? The U.A. professors always say that it's important to create a good network among colleagues and they are very good!”
“Kari, let's get out of here.” He said turning around and looking into her eyes. “Let's go home, or go to the beach, you always like to go there.”
"Seriously? But you were the one who was hungrier.”
“Well, my appetite went away.”
“But it'd be very rude to just leave. Hizashi and Oboro are talking and the pro heroes just sat with us."
“Fine” He replied sighing.
Back at the table, the conversation continued as pleasant as it had been from the beginning. The three young men were very interested in the students' abilities. They tried to talk to Aizawa on several occasions but received such brief answers that it seemed impossible to talk to him. Everyone perceived the negative vibe in Shota and his gaze left absolutely nothing to the imagination. Not even Oboro and Hizashi, who had known him all their lives, had seen him as pain as that night.
Aizawa felt like he was going to throw up at any moment. Seeing how the guys flirted with Kaori made him think that even that horrible food was poisoning him. It was even worse when there was any touching involved, he was even tempted to use his weapon when one of the guys touched again Kaori's hair.
“Kaori, you were so helpful that night that we should thank you properly. We receive many courtesies from different places, we could take advantage of a few and invite you to eat.” The hero offered with a smile that caused even Oboro and Hizashi to sigh gawking at the boy, he was ridiculously handsome. He had blonde hair, honey eyes, and a very shapely body, even with the exercise clothes he wore people could see his muscles. “We could go to eat, visit a zoo, or even go to the movies. Whatever you want."
Nausea reached its peak, his annoyance made him clench his teeth and without realizing he had also clenched his fists. Aizawa felt how his hair began to rise as it happened every time he used his power, and felt the burning in his eyes indicating that he was nowhere near erasing the powers of everyone who was in that restaurant.
"You're leaving now?" Oboro asked when he saw that his friend stood up, his facial expressions could not be more evident, they had never seen his jaw that tense.
"It's late." He responded with a terrifying tone of voice, so raspy that they could hardly understand him.
And just like that, the young hero left the restaurant without saying goodbye.
Tumblr media
The next few days Aizawa was too quiet in class, too quiet even coming from him. During breaks he limited himself to eating and during training with Kaori he also remained silent. By Thursday, the boys got tired of his attitude. If they were lucky to get an answer from Shota, it was barely monosyllables, sarcastic comments, or guttural sounds.
“Ok, that's enough, I refuse to continue living with your emo personality,” Hizashi said hitting him on the back of the head while his friend looked for his shirt. He had just taken a shower after training.
As a reaction, Aiwaza threatened him with his gaze, erasing his power right there.
“Come on, give it back. We made a promise, not to use our quirks against us.” Oboro said creating a small cloud above Aizawa's head. “Either you return Hizashi's voice, or you'll be hit by a downpour.” Aizawa stopped looking at Hizashi and fixed his red eyes on Oboro. "You bitch!" He exclaimed seeing his quirk had been also erased.
In a worse mood than before, Aizawa finished putting on his shirt and left the locker room. His hair was still soaked and his shirt wasn't even closed properly. Because he was so upset, he didn't notice that many of the girls were gawking just by seeing him pass by.
The quiet boy entered to the gym where his class would train with another one from the second year. Aizawa leaned against a wall while he waited for the professor to come and tell them what to do. Only a few minutes had passed when he sensed a presence.
“Midnight, what do you want?” He asked with his arms crossed and without seeing her in the face.
“I'm older than you, you should respect me.” Next thing Aizawa felt was Nemuri's whip hitting his head. "Where are the others? Why do you come with wet hair? Did you realize that you didn't close your shirt properly?” For Midnight there was nothing funnier than teasing Aizawa. She had met him during training and from the first day she would not leave him alone. "What's going on?"
“There are too many questions and none of them matter to you.”
“Hey! You are usually bitter, but not rude.”
“I'm sorry…”
“Apologize to me after I comb your hair. Look, if you move back those locks, people can see your forehead.”
While Aizawa was trying to avoid her so she wouldn't touch his hair, Kaori came in with Oboro and Hizashi. Seeing the image of Aizawa and Midnight, the girl even stopped walking.
“That fucker! He fights with us and acts like a stupid domesticated cat with Midnight!"
Meanwhile, Midnight followed Aizawa's gaze and noticed the three young heroes. Then, getting closer to his ear, she whispered:
“Have you already asked her out?”
“Huh? What are you talking about?"
Midnight laughed softly at seeing him embarrassed. “You obviously like Kaori, and I think she likes you too. You should ask her out!”
“You don't know what you're saying. We're just friends.”
“Are you that stupid? Aren't you like the genius of your generation?”
“Have you never heard what people say about…?”
“About the relationships between heroes? Bullshit! Do you want to live alone even when you could share everything with someone important to you, Eraser?" Seeing that the hero was not arguing and that he was listening to her, she continued. “I know you're an introvert, but you can do it! You trust her, you spend a lot of time with her, and you're not ugly.”
“That was supposed to be a compliment?”
“Take it as you want, but if you don't move, someone else will.”
Seeing Nemuri and Shota talking so close, Kaori decided to continue walking. She preferred to train alone than to continue seeing them together.
Tumblr media
Later that day, Hizashi, Kaori, and Oboro were on the rooftop having lunch, or at least trying, since the girl hadn't taken a bite.
"Shota's not coming again?"
“I don't know. Now we hate him." Hizashi replied crossing his arms in front of his chest. “He dared to erase my quirk! And he left Oboro without his clouds.”
“Were you bullying him?”
"No!" They both said at the same time.
“We just asked him what was wrong!"
"You called him emo, Hizashi."
"And you told him he was a bitch."
The boys couldn't continue talking because they heard some footsteps and when they turned around, they saw Aizawa approaching.
“Shota!” The girl exclaimed as her face lit up with a beautiful smile.
“Oh! You deigned to come. We thought you would eat with Midnight.” Hizashi's claim made Shota grin, the blond sounded even worse than a jealous girlfriend. What he didn't notice was Kaori's face, whose smile almost disappeared at the mention of Nemuri.
“I won't use my erasure on you again, I promise.”
That statement was just the apoligy the boys were expecting, for they did not ask anything else, just continued eating. Actually, Hizashi and Oboro ate as if their lives depended on it and then left with some stupid excuse that neither Kaori nor Aizawa understood. It was not clear why they had to go looking for a book that Oboro had lost in the pools. Oboro didn't even read well!
“I swear, if those two idiots don't act soon, I'll send them an anonymous letter,” Hizashi said to Oboro before disappearing with his friend.
Tumblr media
“I'm glad you finally decided to show up. I have something for you.” Aizawa raised his eyebrows at the same time that the girl searched through her things. “You left very early on Saturday, but the boys and I stopped by a small fair and I saw something you might like.”
Intrigued by what was inside the bag, the boy opened it and smiled so tenderly that even his tired eyes expressed how much he liked it. It was a cat keychain.
"Thanks, Kari, I love it." Aizawa said, with a smile that made him look even more handsome. “Do you have his partner? Looks, his paw is extended."
"Oh, I did not know he had a partner!" She said, forcing a smile, because she did know. "But it's okay! As long as you have this one, it's enough.”
Tumblr media
Finally, when classes were over, Aizawa was closing his backpack when Oboro and Hizashi looked at the keychain.
“Kari finally gave it to you! She's wanted to do it since she won it.” Hizashi commented.
“Did she win it?”
“After making us wait almost an hour while she tried to hit the target by throwing darts, yes, she did it. She was very excited because she wanted to give it to you, we told her to stop spending money, but she didn't listen to us, you know how stubborn she is." Oboro explained. “To tell the truth, it was kind of sad. That cat had a partner, but Kari didn't have any more money and we had already spent everything."
Aizawa felt like a perfect idiot when he remembered how he had behaved those days. "See you." The boy said taking his backpack and running out of class. It was not common to see him rushed or urgent about anything.
Meanwhile, Kaori was walking towards the exit when Aizawa spotted her. He didn't mind pushing a couple of students to get to her side quickly.
"Come on, Kari, we have to go."
Aizawa took her hand and practically dragged her with him.
Tumblr media
“Shota…”
“Don't even try because you're not going to convince me.” Aizawa was already paying for the game for the fifth time, he was determined to win the other keychain.
After another couple of tries, Aizawa finally got it and turning around with a grin from ear to ear, he showed her the object.
“Shota, you did it!” He exclaimed jumping and clapping.
“And we still have some time before work. Is there something you want to do? Forget it, I know what you want.”
Soon they had reached the beach. They walked for a while while talking about everything that had happened the last few days. It seemed Aizawa had finally gotten over his bad mood. After a while, they sat on the sand and Kaori made her friend laugh by playing with the waves. She could slow them down or she could make them extend a little further until they almost reached where they were sitting.
Aizawa had been distracted from Kaori's game, as he was hypnotized by watching her laugh. In fact, for him, just looking at her smile like that was enough reason to feel at peace, happy, and even grateful. His heart was so full for Kaori, so occupied by her, that Aizawa couldn't even call it his own.
Tumblr media
Back on that night, Kaori interpreted Aizawa's silence as the end of their conversation, so she stood up.
“I think it's time to go to sleep.”
“Kaori” he also called, standing up and preventing her from leaving, he took her hand. “I didn't tell you anything about Midnight because it's not true, I don't like her. Oboro and Hizashi were just talking nonsense because they also know that I’m not interested in her.”
“Then why do they say that?”
“Because they are idiots, and according to them, they are helping me.” He said with blushing cheeks. “But I'm tired of this, I'm tired of denying it and trying to hide the truth. I have no interest in Midnight or anyone.”
The confidence with which Shota spoke and the seriousness in his words left Kaori without any doubt. However, far from dismissing the discomfort she felt in her chest since the topic arose, it got worse. If at any time she could have imagined that he felt something more than friendship towards her, there was no longer room for that. Even though he liked to fool herself into thinking that her feelings for Shota were reciprocated, deep down Kaori kept telling herself that it wasn't possible. However, hearing him say something like that broke the young girl's heart.
“I get it.” She answered barely audible to Aizawa, and that is that if she spoke even a little louder, she would cut off her voice.
“Kari…” he called, bringing his hand to the girl's beautiful face, and that was how he discovered that she was biting her lip to try to make her stop shaking.
It was enough for Aizawa to feel how his world turned upside down again just by having her this close to decide to take the next step. He had highly doubted it for fear of ruining things between them, but he had to take the risk.
“It's been a long time since I lost my mind over someone. That person looked at me and smiled like no one had done before. She didn't even know me and offered me the kindest smile ever, but I wasn't able to do anything more than look at her. How could I react if a girl that gorgeous smiled at me?” He said, perfectly remembering his first day at U.A., that moment when he saw Kaori for the first time he could never forget. “Despite my personality, she has been with me and she has believed in me. To be fair, she has more confidence in me than I do myself. You can imagine the panic I felt when I thought I was going to lose this person.” With every word Aizawa said to Kaori his heart beat faster.
“How could I be interested in someone else when you exist?” He asked, brushing his thumbs over the girl's cheeks and then, delicately, over her lips. “Maybe it was your laugh, or your green eyes, or your smile. It could have been your pink hair, or your sweet voice. Maybe it was the way you fell asleep on my shoulder or every aspect of your personality. Whatever it was, it made me fall pretty damn hard.”
Sure of what he felt, Aizawa took the last missing step and dared to kiss her. He could try Kaori's lips again, but this time as he had dreamed of doing since day one. It was no longer an accidental kiss, but a totally intentional one. Aizawa's hands, despite always being covered up to half of the fingers by bandages, because the metal of his weapon hurt him, felt warm and touched the girl's face very delicately.
What contrasted with the softness of his lips and how he caressed her were his shoulders, and Kaori discovered it the moment she touched them. Of course she knew how toned Shota's body was, after all, they trained together and physical closeness was inevitable. However, now that she was caressing his shoulders, that she was actually taking the time to feel his body, she discovered how muscular he was. It was as if all that time getting to know Shota hadn't prepared her to really know how much she liked him.
Little by little, taking their time, the kiss began to intensify, as Kaori was able to react and respond appropriately. If Aizawa had any doubts, they were dispelled when he felt the girl's soft hands run over her neck and then hug him. Furthermore, it was no longer just their lips, it was also their tongues that were touching. However, when Kaori brought her fingers to Aizawa's long hair, he almost interrupted the kiss. He didn't, but he did let out a small grunt.
“I'm sorry…” The girl said, separating herself a little, but he stopped her and brought her closer again, taking her by the hip.
“You didn't do anything wrong, it's just…”
The closeness allowed Kaori to perfectly appreciate how the hero's brunette skin blushed. Her heart melted when she saw the young man's reaction, despite being serious and seeming cold, Shota was just a softie when it came to her.
“It's just what?" She asked playing with Shota's hair.
“It's just... since we kissed the first time I haven't stopped thinking about how much I wanted it to happen again, and that it's happening now... I don't know, Kari, it seems incredible to me. Also," He lowered his gaze even further, because the following comment embarrassed him, he still did not have enough confidence to express himself so openly. “Your hands feel great in my hair.”
That little comment stirred so much inside Kaori that she couldn't control herself. In a fraction of seconds, their hair and clothes moved due to the strong blizzard caused by the girl. It didn't make sense that that had happened when the night was cold, but not windy, it was OBVIOUS what had happened, especially after their first kiss when Kaori controlled the snow and rain without even noticing it. To make it even funnier, not only were they very disheveled, but the girl's face was so red, it didn't even look like her.
“We had promised not to use our quirk against us.” He joked, simply gawking at her and approaching again, but this time he tried to caress her neck. “Kari…” He said, laughing tenderly. “I'm not gonna do anything to you, I'm just trying to tell you that I think you're probably going to end up blowing us up.”
“I just like you a lot, Shota.” She confessed enjoying the boy's caresses, she never imagined he could be that sweet. “Since the first time I was close to you I wished I could stop time. You… you just have the sweetest soul. The way you treat me and how you care about me is something I never expected to find in anyone. Being close to you is like being at home. I'm the happiest with I'm with you. I think I wished for you all my life.”
Aizawa sighed deeply as he felt the tenderness with which Kaori hugged him. Although it was true, they were both very young and could not even imagine everything that life had in store for them, they loved each other in the most honest way and were ready to start the new adventure that would be to be together, but this time not just as friends.
To be continued...

Chapter 8 - I was the lucky one
Although Aizawa didn't talk about his first kiss, that didn't mean he had moved on from it. To tell the truth, he kept repeating it over and over in his mind. On numerous occasions, the quiet boy got lost in his thoughts while Oboro and Hizashi talked between them. Like that night when the two friends were yelling at each other while playing a video game. For their Christmas break, the boys had done nothing more than chilling at Oboro's house while Kaori was visiting her family.
During those days Shota realized how used he was to be with Kaori; without noticing it, when he left Oboro's house he walked towards the station where he always accompanied her. It also happened to Shota that he would fall asleep, but in the middle of the night, he would wake up looking for his cell phone to check if Kaori had texted him saying that she had arrived safely at the U.A. dormitory.
“If Kari were here, she'd have told you the same thing, Hizashi! You suck in this game, and you make us lose! Hear it yourself! Let's call her. Shota, call her.”
"What? Why me?"
“Because even if there's no signal in her house, if the call comes from you, she'll answer.” Oboro and Hizashi looked at their friend waiting for him to call her, but instead, Aizawa's face was almost as red as his eyes when he activated his quirk. "What are you waiting for?”
“Yes, call her, tell her we miss her!” Hizashi suggested.
"No! Why would I tell her that I miss her? She's gonna think I'm crazy!”
“I never said YOU, I said ALL of us miss her.” Hizashi clarified with a smirk evidecing how easy it was to put Aizawa in the spotlight. “But if you wanna tell her that, then go ahead! I'll keep saying it until you get tired of listening to me and decide to act. You and Kaori should be together.”
“Shota, you really don't like her? Not even a little?" Oboro asked, but in response he only got Aizawa to lower his face and his ears to turn red. “It's a shame, Kari's beautiful and she's always taking care of you. But, anyway... we can't force you to like her...”
“You're right, Oboro. We can't force Shota to see her as anything more than a friend. But I still think she's pretty!”
"Of course! Kari's gorgeous! Shota, what kind of girl is your type? You never talk about it.”
“I mean, Kaori's cute, yes…” He shyly answered.
"Don't worry, you don't have to say it if you don't think like that. She's not here, you won't make her feel bad." The blonde said, looking at Shota, who had already changed his face to a more serious one.
“I do believe it, Hizashi. She's... ” For a few moments, Shota was silent, thinking about what word he could use, but none was accurate enough. Just remembering that night when he had her resting on his lap and then when he kissed her, Shota was left speechless, Kaori was way more than beautiful.
“Don't force yourself to say something you don't believe just to be a good person, dude. It was just an idea that Hizashi and I had, but anyway. Who do you think could be a good match? She's like my sister, I want her to be with a nice guy. We have to make sure she doesn't give just any guy a chance." Oboro commented and that already made Aizawa frown.
“Kari has a whole list of guys behind her, don't worry. Just because Shota doesn't find her attractive doesn't mean..."
“I do find her very attractive!” The black-haired hero said without being able to remain silent, he was not going to let them think something that was not true.
“But not as much as Midnight, right?” Oboro asked, hiding his triumphant smile.
“Nemuri? What the fuck Oboro!?”
“Oh! Nemuri's stunning too! Good choice, Shota! So you prefer them tall, voluptuous and with black hair. If you put it like that, Kari's a little girl next to her, I think I understand now why you don't…”
“I DO like Kaori! How can I not like her if she's perfect!? Enough nonsense, I’m not interested in Nemuri!"
At the smile of his friends and the disturbing way in which they both saw him, Aizawa realized what he had said and immediately wanted to disappear. He had been an idiot, he had fallen into the trap of the boys.
“You like Kari!” The other two said in unison.
"That's not what I mean! Damn, you guys talk so much it makes me dizzy and I don't know what I'm saying!” Shota stood up ready to leave. “She's our friend, stop talking about her like that.” It was the last thing he said before getting out of there.
"I told you!" The boys said again at the same time, laughing so exaggeratedly that they seemed crazy.
“Now we just need Kaori to accept it too. But I think we shouldn't mention Nemuri again.”
"Why not?"
“What if shock therapy doesn't work on Kaori, Hizashi?”
“Why do they both have to be so shy?” The blonde asked, sighing and trying to come up with a new plan.
Tumblr media
After successfully completing their first year in the U.A., spring break started and Oboro, Hizashi, and Shota went to Kaori's house. The girl's parents were so grateful for how well they had treated their daughter that they invited the boys. Naturally, Oboro and Hizashi were over the moon with excitement, and Aizawa was on the verge of an anxiety attack.
“Shota, are you feeling okay? We've never seen you this pale. Is the train getting you sick?” Oboro asked, but Aizawa just shook his head.
“Don't you think this will be a lot of work for Kaori's family? I mean, hosting three people…”
“Stop worrying so much, Shota!” The blonde advised putting his arm around Aizawa's shoulders. “Kari told us many times that her parents wanted to meet us.”
“Plus, you can relax, you'll make a good impression. That’s what you’re worried about, right?” Oboro had been right about his friend's concern, and Shota's sigh made it even more evident.
“I'm not good with good impressions, nor with second ones, nor with any that follow.” The boy's comment was so honest that his friends laughed a lot. “It'd be terrible if her parents thought she spent all her time with social misfits.”
“Just the way you are is fine, stop overthinking, bro! Besides, you and Kari are pretty much the same person. The freaks are Oboro and me and I promise we'll behave in front of your parents-in-law."
Aizawa did not pay attention to his friend's comment because he looked out the window once the train stopped. There she was... waiting for them with a perfect smile that took Shota's breath away.
As soon as she saw her friends, she ran up to them and hugged them. They could tell how happy she was to have them there.
Kaori's family turned out to be so welcoming that the boys felt even better than at home from the first day. While the girl's parents spoiled them, treating them like their own children, her siblings never stopped making them laugh with their witticisms. The one who appeared the most enthusiastic of all was the younger kid, who, although physically identical to Kaori, in terms of personality could not be more different, as the boy was extremely extroverted. Shota knew who he was as soon as he saw the scar on his face, but the child looked so happy that it seemed he couldn't care less about his scar.
The first night the boys played until late with the children near the river, and when they returned home, a delicious dinner awaited them. While Oboro and Hizashi continued playing with the kids, Kaori was preparing to go to the kitchen to help her parents.
“Shota, what are you doing? Stay here with the boys.”
“Your parents could use an extra hand"
“No, you're our guest! Please…"
Aizawa didn't even bother to listen to her when he was already walking to the kitchen. Once there, the girl's parents thanked him for his help. They were still cooking, so there were a few things left to do that the shy but sweet boy was happy to help with.
“I can finally be alone with the famous Shota Aizawa.” Kaori's father commented when he and Shota were left alone in the kitchen. “I must accept it, boy, I was a little jealous. My little girl had never talked about a boy until she met you. However, I was more worried about her. The first days were not easy, I hated the idea of her living so far from us. I know Kaori's strong, but she's also very fragile. I was afraid that she'd get depressed because she was alone. But suddenly, one day she called us and she was so excited... She said that she had talked to a classmate, that he had agreed to work with her, and that he had invited her to lunch. Also, that he had introduced her to his friends. She was really happy that night on the phone." Aizawa couldn't help but smile as he found that very cute.
"She says that Hizashi makes her laugh even in serious moments, and that Oboro's the older brother she always dreamed of having. She loves them, but oh boy! She adores you." Shota was so moved that he couldn't find what to say, he could only smile shyly until Kaori's father bowed his head towards him. “Thank you very much for taking such good care of my daughter.”
“Sir, please don't do that!” He said very distressed. “Kaori has been the one who has taken care of us. I'd love to tell you that it has been the opposite, but she has been the one who has protected us. We… I was the lucky one to meet her.” He said, trying to suppress his shyness, but he didn't do it so well, because the man laughed discreetly when he saw his red ears. From how Kaori had described him, he already imagined that Shota wouldn't accept how attentive he was to the girl, he wouldn't do himself justice.
“So... I guess she lied when she told me that she never returned to the dormitory alone after working in the agency, or that you always helped her heal her wounds. I'll have to lecture her for lying to me when she said that you stood by her when you guys were threatened by villains. I imagine she just wanted not to worry me when she told me that you had promised her that no one would hurt her again because you'd protect her.”
Aizawa got so nervous that the bowl he was holding slipped from his hands, forcing him to bend down to pick everything up.
“You don't have to be so shy, boy!” The man said laughing and helping him.
“I'm very sorry for allowing your daughter to get hurt, sir, I promise you that I'll do my best to ensure that this doesn't happen again. I... I also adore her. She's very important to me.” He said clearing his throat.
The conversation between Aizawa and Kaori's father did not continue because the girl had returned to the kitchen with her mother. After dinner with the family, Kaori took the opportunity to take her friends to her favorite part of the mountain, where the view was beautiful, as they could see the city lights in the distance.
A few nights later, Aizawa had gone to bed when he realized he had left his cell phone charger in the living room. His friends had already fallen asleep, they were dead tired, and trying not to wake them, he quietly left the room. The lights in the house were off, everyone was already asleep; however, as he approached the living room, he saw that a dim light was coming from the kitchen, yet, what he found was Kaori filling the teapot.
“Kari, what are you doing up at this hour?”
Clearly, the girl didn't expect anyone to come and talk to her, because she almost dropped the teapot, but Shota was faster and caught it in the air before it made a terrible fuss. The girl's panicked face was so funny that the young hero couldn't suppress a fit of laughter that ended only because Kaori pushed him to shut up.
"Sorry, sorry. You looked just like Hizashi when he sees any bugs."
“What are YOU doing up at this hour besides scaring people?”
“I came to get my cell phone charger.” He explained still with a bit of a fit of laughter.
“I couldn't sleep so I came for tea. But now, thanks to you it will be impossible for me to rest.”
“Well, since I have some responsibility, I can be with you until you get sleepy.”
Accepting Shota's offer, the couple left the house so as not to wake anyone. They found a clearing near the woods, and sitting down side by side, they talked for a long time. Despite being timid, when they were together they had a great time. They trusted each other a lot, they felt comfortable with each other's company, and they had a similar sense of humor.
In a moment of silence, Kaori drank the last of her tea and didn't notice Aizawa staring at her. Every day he found her more beautiful, and even more worried for him, every day he wanted to kiss her again. But many things were holding him back, first, his insecurity made him think that there was no way he would have a chance with her. Shota had convinced himself that Kaori would never see him as anything more than a friend, he knew that she adored him with all her heart, but it was inconceivable to him that Kaori would look at him with different eyes.
"Aren't you freezing? The night's particularly cool.”
"I'm fine." Of course he was freezing! Since they left the house, Aizawa put his hands in his pants pockets looking for some warmth.
“You're very bad at lying, Shota.” Turning until they were face to face, the girl offered her hands and waited for him to give her his. Shota didn't quite understand what she meant, but he gave them to her.
Holding his hands was enough for Aizawa to forget about the cold; yet, the boy quickly noticed how his temperature regulated until it reached a warm and comforting one that he had never felt before. Meanwhile, Kaori smiled at him, proud of what she had done. However, just as Aizawa warmed up, he felt her hands getting cold and that's when he understood why that warmth was so cozy, Kaori was not altering his energy, but rather she was giving him her own.
“It'll make you cold.” The boy commented, bringing one of his hands to Kaori's face and feeling that she was not as warm as always. “Wouldn't it be better to go back to the house?”
“Do you want to go back?” She asked trying hard to hide her disappointment.
“I was willing to ignore that I was freezing to death to stay here longer, but you caught me.” Recovering the shine in her eyes, Kaori giggled.
“You're very sensitive to temperature changes.”
“I can't warm you up like you do. My quirk isn't as gentle as yours.”
“I'm not that cold, I'm used to it. But…” The girl took a deep breath and even though her body temperature had dropped, her cheeks had blused. “You wouldn't need your quirk to warm me up, Shota.”
Kaori had fixed her gaze on the grass, she had said something risky and she didn't know if Aizawa would understand, but she still felt very embarrassed. And everything got worse, first when her friend didn't say anything, second, when he moved his hands away from hers, and third, when she realized that Shota was moving. Thinking that she had crossed the line and made him feel uncomfortable, the girl was about to tell him to go back, but she couldn't do it, because Aizawa's arm wrapped her. Moreover, because of the way he hugged her, Aizawa also offered her his shoulder so she could rest her head. That's when she understood why he had moved, Shota had put the teacup aside so that nothing would get in their way.
Thus, snuggling with a smile, Kaori enjoyed Aizawa's hug. Neither of them felt even the slightest trace of the cold and they were able to continue talking, but this time much closer.
“Have you heard who'll be in charge of back-to-school camp? Nothing more and nothing less than Endeavor.”
“Endeavor? I thought he didn't have time for these things, he's too busy with his agency."
“I guess the director begged him. Lately, there've been many attacks on heroes that don't seem like mere coincidence, we have to be prepared.”
“But with him? Isn't he too rigid?” The girl asked.
“But he's number two. Besides All Might, there couldn't be a better person to train us.”
“Poor Oboro, he thought the second year would be easier…”
“I imagine that this year he'll also try to convince you to participate in the festival's beauty pageant.”
Kaori sighed deeply remembering how her friend begged her to participate last year. Hizashi also told her to do it; however, there was no way to convince her.
“He's nuts.”
"Why? If you participated, you'd win it.”
"Do not joke with that."
The hero stopped seeing the landscape and fixed his gray eyes on the girl, who had crossed her arms and moved a little away from him. "I'm not joking."
“How could I sign up for that? Haven't you seen the girls who participate? They're beautiful. You said that to make fun, right?” She asked with a pout.
“Kari, I'd never do something like that. I'm serious, the guys are right, you should sign up, you'd win it easily."
"Very funny..."
"I'm serious. I'd vote for you.” He confessed with blushing cheeks.
Surprisingly, Kaori's cheeks were redder than Shota's, the girl didn't even know how to continue the conversation and she nervously started playing with a leaf she grabbed from the grass. A while passed in which nothing was heard until finally, Kaori spoke again.
“I don't like you anymore, you're a liar. You'd vote for Nemuri.”
“Nemuri?” Aizawa immediately remembered his friends' comments regarding Midnight and wished they hadn't said anything stupid in front of Kaori. However, because he was thinking about his friends, he was unable to deny what Kaori said.
Kaori remained silent, but Aizawa saw her gesture, it was a face that Oboro and Hizashi had seen several times when they pushed her to the limit, but he had not. Aizawa's mind was trying to decipher how to handle the situation. Did he have to talk more about it? Did he have to ignore it?
Finally, he decided that the best thing was to speak, and swallowing hard, he dared not only to speak, but to place his hand on the girl's shoulder, who gave him such a look that Aizawa couldn't help but compare her to one of those grumpy cats who did not let him get close. In truth, he removed his hand from her as quickly as he had when a cat warned him not to dare come any closer.
“Why are you so upset?”
Kaori turned around so that the two were facing each other and fixed her green eyes on the dark ones of the boy, who looked nervous and distressed. Shota had such a face that Kaori almost lost her seriousness and laughed; however, she remained serious.
“Is it because you don't want to participate in the contest?”
“No, Shota, I don't care about the contest. It’s just that I thought you trusted me a little more.” That answer left the young hero even more lost, he did not understand at what point it had become a trust problem.
“But… I don't understand it, I do trust you.”
“You told the boys you liked Midnight, but you didn't say anything to me and we're always together. I always tell you everything Shota.”
“I said what? Which guys? Midnight? When?"
“Shota, which other guys are we talking to? Well… you and me, Hizashi and Oboro talk to everyone.”
"I don't understand a word. I've never said anything like that.”
“Well, they haven't stopped talking about it since they came here.”
Aizawa clenched his fists tightly remembering the last conversation at Oboro's house on the subject. That day they had both managed to corner him until he confessed that he liked Kaori. He hadn't even accepted it himself but he had told them.
“What else did they tell you?” He asked too seriously.
“They didn't tell me anything else, just that you like her. Relax, I don’t know any other secrets of yours.”
The tranquility that had surrounded them all that time disappeared and now they were both frowning. Reacting exactly the same, Shota and Kaori fixed their gaze on the grass and were lost in thought. She, for her part, had tried hard to ignore the annoyance that Hizashi and Oboro's comments had caused her; however, the jealousy from thinking Aizawa could be interested in someone else had come out at that moment. She had tried to convince herself that what bothered her was the young hero's lack of trust; but deep down, it wasn't just that. She didn't want someone else to steal her friend, she didn't want to share Aizawa's time with anyone else, and much less she wanted to think about him going on dates with a girl.
Kaori had no idea that Shota had already been through the exact same thing, but he had gotten in such a bad mood with jealousy that Hizashi and Oboro had to intervene. That had happened a little before the kiss...

Chapter 1
Sitting next to All Might, Endeavor crossed his giant arms and frowned at the screen in front of him. It was playing scenes of both his and the blonde's most epic battles. Everyone in the audience praised and people from the media kept taking pictures.
"Come on, Todoroki, change that face!" said All Might laughing and hugging him.
“Get off! I hate this, it makes me feel old. Why the hell did they have to do a whole anniversary celebration?"
"Stop whining! When you accepted the position, this was included. Hey, look! A picture of the day you opened your agency. And there I am!"
Enji frowned even more when he saw himself young, with much more energy and without that scar on his face that he hated so much. Now that he was getting closer to his 50s, he looked so different. He was about to go down that spiral of thoughts concerning his age when he felt how an elbow hit him in the ribs. Turning around, he discovered that it was his youngest son.
“Dad, try to smile. You look more terrifying than usual."
Forced to soften his expression, Enji kept looking at the tribute they had made for him and All Might. It was supposed to be something small, his agency had only received an invitation for the inauguration of a new school dedicated to the two legendary heroes. He tried not to attend and for his son to go in his place, but your insistence and Shoto's forced him to show up.
Upon arrival, Enji cursed when he noticed some politicians and reporters there. He was already close to dealing with all of them during the Hero Billboard Chart JP of that year, but now, he would have to do it before. He missed when he didn't have to worry about those events and it was All Might who had to give the speeches.
"I shouldn't be here looking at pictures of me, I should be working." He commented to his son in a low voice.
“Relax, you left your trusted heroes in charge of the agency for today. Midoriya and Bakugo are there too, nothing will happen if you're away for a while."
“Last time I wasn't in the office, you and your friends destroyed two buildings for not being careful, Shoto. I ended up paying for those damn reconstructions out of my own pocket.”
"It wasn't my fault, Bakugo got out of hand because of Midoriya's comment and then we couldn't calm him down." Shoto clarified, very embarrassed by that accident. "Besides, that won't happen today, you left your girlfriend in charge of those two, right?"
Endeavor sighed remembering how permissive you were with those boys, and if it was Hawks, the matter was worse. However, the number 1 hero couldn't continue the conversation, since at that moment they had shown the photograph of the day he fought against the Nomu. It was epic and memorable, there was no one who did not know that photograph. Yet, that day the hero could not do more than look at his face covered in blood from the tremendous wound he had received. Stealthily, he brought his hand to his face and as soon as he felt that area where his skin felt different, he immediately removed his hand.

Back at the agency, Enji and Shoto entered together and as usual, wherever they passed, people greeted them by bowing their heads showing respect. Apparently, it was a normal day, many of the heroes were in the office that day and not on patrol. Among them, Shoto noticed his friends, who were miraculously talking like civilized people while having some tea.
While Bakugo and Deku greeted your boyfriend, you and Hawks were also getting closer.
“Congratulations, big boss! Looking good, huh, old man?”
Hawks touched a nerve in his head calling him that, causing Endeavor to glare at him and Midoriya to swallow hard at the same time that Bakugo laughed, nothing made him more amused than seeing the flame hero upset.
"Don't tell me you were watching the broadcast, you must have been working," Enji scolded.
“The guys took care of everything quickly and we had the rest of the afternoon free.” You clarified with a discreet smile, although Shoto and Hawks knew about you, the others had no idea.
That easily you managed to lower the bad mood of the hero, who nodded silently.
"Okay, since we're finishing early today, how about we all go for a beer?" Hawks proposed.
“And since it's early we can go to karaoke! What do you say, Kacchan, do you want to go?" Deku asked so excited that his eyes were shining, of course, he only made Bakugo look at him with contempt and growl. “Todoroki, do you want to come with us? Let's call the others, I'm sure they'll want to go!”
"Wait a moment! What do you mean to go for a beer?" Endeavor asked, getting upset again. “Hawks, what the hell's on your mind? They are children!"
“They aren't children, they're already adults. In just a couple of months, these guys will graduate from the U.A. In fact, why don't you join us, Endeavor? If there's anyone here who can teach them to drink, it's you."
You couldn't help but laugh at Hawks' inappropriate comment. On numerous occasions the three of you had gone drinking, Best Jeanist had also accompanied you, as well as Mirko, who drank more than all the pro heroes put together. Nevertheless, Endeavor had never gone out with the young boys to drink.
"Nobody has to teach me how to drink, nobody has to teach me anything!" Bakugo exclaimed.
"Come on, Endeavor, you don't have anything to do either, we already checked your schedule." Hawks insisted.
"What's happening Dad? Do you have so little resistance to alcohol that you prefer not to go?”
“Careful, Shoto! You shouldn't even be drinking if you're preparing to be…”
“Here we go again…” You whispered in Hawks's ear and even yawned, you already knew Enji was coming up with a speech for his son. A speech that only Deku listened carefully.
Enji spoke until you discreetly placed your hand on his shoulder. Anyone would think that you did it to get closer to the boys, but your boyfriend knew that you did it so that he would leave Shoto alone.
“What do they say if you call your friends and we meet at the entrance?” You asked winking at the three boys, whose cheeks turned red, for none of them could deny that you were gorgeous.
Everyone at the agency said it, Enji Todoroki's right hand was spectacular, and just as you had caught the attention of your boss with your personality and with your sexy costume, you had also done it with practically all the men who worked there. However, seeing the idiotic smile of the four of them, Endeavor raised his flames higher and brought them back to the ground.
“If you're done, get out of here. And you, Miss Plans," he said directing his turquoise eyes at you. “May I have a word with you in my office?”
Following your boss, you disappeared with him while Hawks was in charge of taking the boys out, he was sure that Endeavor wouldn't let you leave just like that, Shoto himself knew it.

Once in the privacy of Enji's office, as soon as he closed the door, you walked over to his desk and sat there, laughing at the frown of your man.
"Why are you so grumpy today?"
"I don't know what you're talking about." He responded by opening a couple of buttons on his shirt to make himself more comfortable.
"Honey" you called crossing your legs, and when he looked up and fixed his gaze on you, he finally flashed his first honest smile of the day, a little lustful, but honest. "You really don't want to go?"
The handsome hero had cornered you by bringing both hands to his desk, barely encircling your hip, and not letting you move. Then, fixing you with that look that had made countless villains tremble, he shook his head.
"Why would I want to go drinking with some kids if I can do it with you?"
Biting your lips, you began to feel Enji's hands opening your legs a little more and his lips getting closer and closer to your neck until, without warning, he bit you and then began to lick and suck, first slowly, but then with more intensity. You wanted to keep talking to him, but it was practically impossible when he was distracting you like that, and when you could perceive his manly scent so close, you had always loved how he smelled, it was one of the first things that made you lose your head for him.
The burning heat that emanated from your boyfriend every time you were together abruptly subsided, just as his kissing stopped. It was enough for you to hear how his breathing changed to know that he had gotten upset, but you didn't understand what had made him so angry until they knocked on the door a second time.
"WHAT?!" The redhead roared with a tone of voice that made the entire office rumble.
"Enji!" Very embarrassed for not knowing who was outside, you patted him on the chest before getting off the desk and adjusting your clothes a bit. "Stop responding like that."
"The door is locked, that means I don't want anyone to come in!" He also fixed his clothes and walked to the chair, he had to sit down or his erection would give away what you were about to do.
"Hey, boss, it's me!"
“You have to be fucking kidding me.” Endeavor cursed, slamming his fist into the desk.
Aware that Enji couldn't open, you did it yourself. Hawks entered the office with his eyes closed, which caused you to laugh but the flame hero wanted to burn him right there.
"What do you want? Shouldn't you be on your way to who knows where?"
“The guys are asking about your girlfriend. How do you want me to explain to them that she's not there because you're fucking her brain out?" The next thing Hawks felt didn't even come from Enji, but from you when you hit him hard on the head, causing the redhead to grin from ear to ear.
"Why didn't you just say we had a meeting?"
“Midoriya has the innocence of a baby, but your son and Bakugo don't. They were with us all day, they know there was nothing to talk about.”
"Hawks is right." You said with a sigh, after all, you had waited all day to be alone with Enji. "I'll go with them for a while and see you at home later."
"What?!" With Endeavor's exasperated question came a shout from Hawks covering his eyes again and yelling at the two of them to make him see such things. "You’re not leaving! You're with me!"
"I won't be long, I promise you." You said completely ignoring all the drama that Hawks was making for having to witness his boss's huge boner.
Finally, you managed to convince Enji that it would be best not to arouse suspicion, and although you knew that he had been furious, resentful, and wallowing in jealousy, you went out with them.
Tumblr media
Late at night, Enji was in your new apartment. Although you told him that it was not necessary, there was no way he would change his mind, he wanted to buy a place for you two. As expected, the hero spared no expense, as he wanted a place that was comfortable and private enough that no one would disturb you. Thus, while he waited for you to arrive, he read the reports of the last jobs he had done. He had a hard time focusing, at first, he thought he was tired and that's why he couldn't read well. He even cursed the one who had written those reports in such small letter size. In fact, he was doing just that when you greeted him from the door of his office.
"Are you fighting alone, handsome?" You asked hiding a mocking smile; however, your face changed when you noticed how your boyfriend was dressed. It drove you crazy to see him in those traditional and comfortable clothes he used at home.
“Tomorrow that secretary will listen to me. I already told her to stop printing like this! You can't read anything.” Exasperated, he handed you the papers.
"I think the problem's not your secretary, it's that you need glasses, dear."
“I don't need glasses! My eyesight has always been the best of all!”
"Enji, if you keep freaking out and throwing flames around you, one day you won't be able to see properly."
"I can see well! I don't need glasses." The flame hero looked at you seriously and crossed his arms. “Did you see the hour, kid? It was supposed to be fast. I dined alone.” You didn't even try to hide your smile, no one would believe you if you said how spoiled Enji Todoroki was and how much he hated being away from you.
Fortunately, it wasn't hard for you to apologize, because as soon as you proposed to take a bath together, you won him back.
One of your favorite parts of the new apartment was the outdoor jacuzzi. Being in such a remote area, you could enjoy the tranquility of the night and take a bath while you admired the city lights.
Sitting on Enji's lap, you massaged his wide and sturdy shoulders. You could tell he was tense, which wasn't easy to identify considering every muscle in his body was rock solid; however, his body language told you that something was up with him.
"You didn't like the tribute they gave you, right?" Your question caused Enji to open his eyes again, he had been enjoying your hands, but the memory of the afternoon clouded his gaze. "I know you don't like those kinds of activities, but I didn't expect this to bother you so much."
“It wasn't the activity. I just felt like it had been a long time since I started on this. I've worked so hard, kid, I don't realize how quickly the years have gone by.
"Nostalgic, huh?"
With his typical smile that made every part of your body vibrate, Enji nodded.
“I think I'm spending too much time with Toshinori. Anyway… now that I remember, Hawks interrupted us earlier.”
And just like that, your boyfriend was back, that scorching look giving him away that he had thought about you all day and that now having you close, he didn't care about anything other than causing you pleasure.
"Kid..." he called, attacking your neck again but this time he didn't show the slightest delicacy, he bit you so hard that you couldn't silence a moan. “What did I tell you about your smiles? You keep showing them to everyone like it's nothing, like they're not mine."
It was inevitable for Endeavor to heat the atmosphere when he got aroused, you'd already gotten used to ending up drenched in sweat every time you made love to your boyfriend. So once the water got hotter, you knew he was ready to make you scream.
Sex with Enji was still as hot and passionate as the first time in the hot springs, just as aggressive. It seemed that you were his prey and that he was ready to jump on you at any moment. The flames that emanated from his body and his penetrating gaze warned you to be prepared, but above all, the enormous erection that you found in your boyfriend every day did so. There were nights when you didn't sleep at all because Endeavor simply couldn't stop fucking, you and everything seemed to indicate that that would be one, because although you didn't know, he wanted to show you and himself that the others were wrong, he hadn't aged yet.
Unlike all those nights in which you allowed him to tempt you until you begged him to enter your body, this time you could only dig your nails into his manly back. Enji waited for absolutely nothing to penetrate you; after all, he knew that once by his side, you were always ready to receive him.
The redhead moaned in pleasure feeling how tight you were. Sometimes he was so cruel that to provoke you, he would just put in the tip of his cock and not move for a few seconds. He tempted you by letting you feel his body throbbing inside you, he made you want to lose control of his hips, but he didn't, he just looked at you with an evil smile.
“I hate you so much…”
Your comment made him laugh exactly the same way he did when he cornered a villain. Of course, hearing his laughter at that moment could only turn you on more, but when you tried to move, he didn't let you, he held your legs very tightly, a little more and his hands would be marked on your thighs by days. However, you were just as stubborn as he was, and you kept trying to move. That little fight to see which one had more power made the moment even more erotic. Endeavor was dying to fuck, but he was so proud and he liked to dominate you so much that he would put you in your place first.
"Who do you think you're dealing with, kid?" He asked you, frowning and sounding somewhat offended, even annoyed.
"Let go of me" You commanded, but instead, you only managed to get him to hold you tighter and to show you that he was doing what he wanted. Endeavor moved a little, just a little, but it was enough for you to bite your lips so as not to scream at how good it felt.
Delighted that you were the one he shared his nights with, Endeavor looked at you with a mixture of charm and anger. You continued refusing to obey him and, as cunning as ever, you activated your quirk, one that put him at a disadvantage. As long as you were in physical contact with your opponent, you could mind control him to do whatever you wanted. Just as you could increase the capacity of any quirk with a single command, you could disarm him.
"You're not gonna make it." He warned you when he heard your voice in his mind.
However, Endeavor had chosen you as his sidekick with good reason, and even someone like him with the strong willpower he had, fell when he faced you. Your order was not for him to release you, but to move his hips. If Enji wanted to break free of your spell, he had to let go of your legs, and get away from you, and it was something you knew he wouldn't do for the world. Furious, but even more excited than before seeing how strong you were, he kissed you passionately. Without knowing if he did it to distract you or not, you just received him with the same ardor.
The kiss ended, but you didn't deactivate your quirk, if Endeavor didn't let you use your legs, you could still use other parts of your body. That was how you managed to break his will. Enji growled from the fury he felt seeing that he was not capable of ignoring your orders, and you chuckled feeling how he kept fighting. The more he fought, the more passionately you now devoured his neck. Normally you marked it where the costume hid, but that night you didn't care, Enji had played too much with you. The hero realized what you were doing, where you were leaving obvious marks, but far from being annoyed, he got even more aroused thinking about how cheeky, stubborn, and possessive you could be.
Thus, after a while Enji's huge hands left your legs, but only for one of them to hold you by your hair, he could feel your neck with his fingers.
“You have no idea what you got yourself into.” He said holding you tight.
“Why don't you teach me, number one? What's wrong, a few orders were enough to break you down?"
The heat that came out of Enji's body upon hearing that would have driven anyone else away, but you were used to it, you could take it now. Your boyfriend had been upset, you knew he couldn't stand being provoked, he was too proud to ignore something like that. You had gotten yourself into trouble, but one you could never regret.
Endeavor didn't stop all night, he didn't care that you trembled from so much pleasure, or that you asked him for some time, he kept fucking you until your voice didn't come out. That night you didn't see the slightest trace of tenderness in his movements. Countless times you thought that your body would give no more, but Enji knew your limits and calculated to just reach them but not pass them, not because he had compassion, but because he was not going to let you save yourself so easily.
After having been in the jacuzzi for a long time, he took you to bed. You bit the pillows, you soaked the sheets and Enji didn't stop, he kept going in and out of your body as if it was the first time he was tasting you. Endeavor was the only one capable of reaching parts of your body that only he knew about, points that caused you so much pleasure that he even managed to bring you to tears.
He had you on your back holding on to your hips for so long that now it wasn't just your legs, your hips would also have his huge hands marked for who knows how long. You felt how the sweat that fell from his chest drenched your back, and it seemed so provocative to you that you had orgasms just for feeling that, for hearing his growls in your ears, and for feeling his burning breath on the back of your neck.
And not to mention your poor knees, because Enji indulged himself in that position, in which he only let you use the muscles of your legs because he held you behind the wrists. The hero was willing to remove any trace of sanity or purity that remained in you. That was how Enji came over and over again that night. He did it whenever he wanted, on your face, on your breasts, on your mouth, on your back, legs, inside you, You couldn't be more full of him, literally.
You don't remember when you fell asleep, exhausted from so much physical activity. The next morning when you opened your eyes, you wanted to die right there, everything hurt, you could swear that even your hair hurt. There was no way you were working that day, luckily it was Saturday.
Enji didn't wake up early either, that day the handsome hero slept by your side until almost noon, something that rarely happened; however, his body also needed rest, never like yours, of course. The night had been so wild that as soon as you opened your eyes, you saw how hurt his back and shoulders were. You tried to get up, but you couldn't and your moaning automatically woke up your boyfriend.
"Hi, kid." He greeted with a hoarse voice, but with a sweet smile, while, stretching out his arm, he brought you closer to his huge body.
"I can't move" you muttered.
"Perfect, that's what I wanted to hear."
"You, idiot" You responded trying to push him, but you couldn't even move an arm. Laughing heartily, Endeavor took your hand and kissed it before placing it on top of his pecs. "I'm serious. I think you broke me.”
"I can fix you back, baby, that's not a problem." Before you could answer anything, the redhead kissed your forehead and then stared at your face. “How can you be this stunning?”
"Oh please! I'm a mess.”
"You're MY mess, my beautiful and sweet mess."
You smiled back, barely able to caress his cheek. A short time later, he got up, and if you had been able, you would have stopped him, but you couldn't, everything hurt.
"I'll be right back, I'll go get something to eat."
"Enji" you called as he was almost out the door and as soon as he turned around, you spoke again. "I love you."
From where you were you could see how the hero's cheeks blushed a little.
"I love you too, kid." He said before disappearing with a smile.
After a while, you had breakfast in the comfort of your bed next to Enji. Despite what anyone would think, your boyfriend knew how to cook and when he had time, he would prepare delicious meals for you. The truth was that the number 1 hero treated you like a queen, he pampered you a lot, more than you could believe yourself. He always made sure you had your favorite foods at home; in fact, he had started doing the groceries himself, something that still surprised you, but later you discovered that it was because he wanted to make sure that you had everything you liked so that you felt comfortable and began to see that apartment as your home. Enji had tried hard to make it that way, he even hired a decorator and as a surprise to you, he wanted the apartment to have your essence. Curiously, you didn't have such different likes. Maybe Endeavor was a bit more traditional, but he liked the touch you gave not only to the apartment but to his life as well.
Enji also wanted you to have your clothes there, and even though you told him it wasn't necessary, he kept bringing you different designer pieces very often. You loved everything, but you had to confess that you loved even more his clothes. You kept wearing his t-shirts when we allowed you, for most of the time you were naked on the bed.
While you ate, Enji smirked. Every so often he looked at you out of the corner of his eye, he loved seeing you wearing his clothes, and that morning was no exception. However, even with his huge t-shirt, he could see all the marks he had left on you from the night before. That was how he carefully caressed the part of your thigh where the mark of his hand had been printed.
"I think I went too far, love, sorry."
"Why? You know I love it when you do it." You responded by winking at him.
Having regained a bit of energy after eating something, you reached over to kiss his cheek, but when you did, your eye was caught by a silver hair among the ones that covered his beard. You also noticed that there were also a few among his red hair.
"What's wrong, what do I have?" Enji asked when he noticed that you were staring at him. You delicately took one of those hairs, it had just fallen off and you were able to show it to him. However, what you considered to be incredibly attractive, Enji did not.
"Shit," he hissed.
You spent so much time making love to Endeavor that you knew his body perfectly well, so you were surprised not to notice that even on his chest there were a few silver hairs. Or surely you had noticed it but you hadn't thought too much about it, you already liked your boyfriend too much, you found everything about him attractive. The mood swing lasted all day, Enji was serious and grumpy, but at least that didn't stop the hero from coddling you for leaving you so exhausted.

Chapter 7 - It all started with that first kiss
The two young heroes remained silent for some minutes in which Aizawa's brain was trying to come up with what to say or how to behave. Shota was terrible at those moments, he had never known what to do when someone was down, especially because with his only two friends, he never needed to worry about their mood, Hizashi and Oboro were always laughing and joking. Yet, before getting back to work, he forced himself to act, he cared too much about the girl to not try to do something.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Kaori looked at him and couldn't help but find adorable his shyness and inexperience when it came to trying to keep a serious conversation. “I mean, if you don't, you might keep thinking about it while we work and…”
"Shota, why don't you just accept that you're being a good friend and you're worried about me?" Her question caused him to immediately blush and clear his throat.
"Fine, I'm worried about you, it's not normal to see you this blue."
"Do you remember the first time we trained together? I told you that heat and electricity are types of energy I avoid." Aizawa nodded, of course he remembered. "Before coming to the U.A. I was in charge of taking care of my brothers while my parents worked. We used to go to the forest, and while I trained, they played near me. They begged me for days to go to this place where my parents didn't allow us to visit not just because it was far from home, but because it was dangerous. Even for us who grew up between bushes and rivers, it was a risky zone. However, I was so reckless... I thought I could take of them with the control I already had of my quirk, but I couldn't be more wrong." Aizawa continued listening to the girl, anxious to know what had marked her back and forced her to limit the power of her quirk. Just by looking at her, he knew how embarrassed she felt of herself.
"I took them there, and it was fine for a while until the downpour started. I thought it'd pass and we sheltered under some trees from the rain, but everything got worse with the lightning. That's when I knew we had to go back, or at least find a safer place, but since I was little, lightning terrified me, and that storm has been the worst I've seen so far. Because I got scared, I got lost and it took me longer to find our way home. When we finally made it, I realized that the youngest of my brothers wasn't there. Between the lightning, the rain, and the little control I had over them, I didn't realize when it happened." Kaori lowered her gaze, every time she thought back to that day, she relived how scary she had been. “I immediately went back, he was just a four-year-old kid lost in the woods under the worst storm you can imagine. I tried to decrease the intensity of the rain in the places where I searched for him, but if I did that, I lost what little control I had over the lightning. There came a point where I couldn't take it anymore, the river had overflowed its banks, and trying to control it was impossible. Luckily, I managed to find him, but the landslides because of the flooding blocked the path I had taken before. We couldn't even go around the river, we had to cross it and while we were doing it, my brother got hurt. I was desperate to check his wounds, and when we got out of the water... I couldn't think, Shota, I was a fool and leaned him against the trunk of a tree."
Aizawa went cold when he heard that, anyone knew how dangerous trees were in a thunderstorm.
“It all happened so fast. As soon as I saw the lightning, I tried to redirect the electric shock, but I failed. It wasn't just that, the tree went up in flames, and while I received the electric shock on my back, the fire burned my brother's face. I couldn't help it, I tried, I swear I tried, but I couldn't control the two energies at the same time. I barely managed to keep the electricity from touching him.”
Kaori did not refer to what happened after the accident as it was too painful to remember her little brother in the hospital crying from the pain of his burns. Also, it was terrible to see how time passed and his face kept remembering what had happened that day. Yet, the child loved her and now that he was older, he repeated to her that what had happened had not been her fault, but there would be no words that would make her forget the trauma of that day.
"Fire and electricity terrify me, and when I saw that Oboro received that shock, I couldn't continue with the exam." Despite how strong she appeared to be, Aizawa caught a glimpse of her friend's glassy eyes. “I don't want to see any other person going through that, but I'm still not good enough. Also, when I see my scar, I…”
Once again, Shota looked at her intending to wipe away her tears before they could even run down her cheeks, but he didn't let her, and gently took her hands. The boy did not stop there and Kaori felt how he intertwined his fingers with hers, Shota even caressed her with his thumbs.
"I was so rude to you that day. I'm sorry, I had no idea about this."
"Rude? Shota, you did nothing but take care of me.”
"If there's something I must learn from you, it's how to protect the people I care." Ignoring his shyness just for that moment, Shota gently caressed Kaori's cheek until he reached one of her pink locks and brushed it behind her ear. "You've let fear and trauma cloud what's truly important. Your brother is alive because you protected him, and your scar just shows how brave and kind you are."
"He got burned, his face will be marked forever."
“You were a child too, you did more than anyone, even a professional hero, would've done. Kari, you just need to be in the U.A. to polish your powers, you're already a heroine. You saved me too, in case you don't remember." He said with a sincere and tender smile.
They both knew that they had little time left before going back to work, but Aizawa didn't want to leave without doing something else. “Let me check your back. It's been hurting you all night. Let me see if it's something serious."
Naturally, her first reaction was to say no; however, sighing, she sat with her back to him.
"Can you help me with the costume?"
Kaori didn't notice Aizawa's hands shaking as he moved her silky pink hair to one side so he could unzip her costume. Little by little, the young hero started to see the beginning of the scar that tormented her so much. It was huge, practically cutting through Kaori's skin from her right shoulder to below her left ribs. Aizawa couldn't even imagine how painful receiving that shock must have been.
Meanwhile, Kaori was not able to say anything, it was enough to fight with herself and allow Aizawa to look at her back. The tension the girl felt was so evident that he placed a hand on her shoulder, just where the scar began, to relax her a little.
"It's awful, right?" she asked barely audible.
"No," Kaori already knew him well enough to know that Aizawa was incapable of lying. "But I understand why your back was hurting you so bad. You cut yourself." The student's shyness had almost completely disappeared as he understood that it was more important to help her feel better. "I'm gonna clean those scratches and cover them, rubbing against your costume will be worse." In deep silence, Aizawa took care of Kaori's injuries.
It was the first time he could actually feel how smooth her skin was. No matter how careful he was, every once in a while a faintly audible groan of pain would escape, followed by an apology from the girl. Yet, Kaori knew that her friend was doing the best he could, so she closed her eyes and suppressed any other evidence of pain.
“Shota, you're very considerate and I couldn't thank you for covering me up in front of the boys without even knowing what was going on beforehand. Also…thank you for staying with me during class, I know it hasn't been easy.”
Tumblr media
One of the courses they took that year was focused on teamwork. At first, everyone wanted to team up with Kaori, they thought that her abilities would make her the perfect match, but she was far from it. While she could convert energy, she couldn't redirect it in such a way that her colleagues could use it. Her teachers hoped she could pass some energy to their classmates and help them fight better, but the truth was that because of the same trauma that she had just revealed to Aizawa, she would get blocked and end up hurting them.
At first, Hizashi tried to train with her, but he ended up so hurt that he wasn't able to speak for several days. Kaori had tried to pass some energy to him, but she only managed to hurt his throat. Later Oboro came, however, the result was even worse than with Hizashi, as Oboro began to generate lightning from his clouds, and when he did, Kaori lost control and the professor had to intervene, but not before having to take them both to the infirmary. Naturally, that had scared her enough that she didn't want to try working with anyone else.
“Sensei, I've thought a lot about this course… Hizashi's barely recovering and despite how strong Oboro is, he's still in the infirmary. Please let me do a different task.” She asked after the class ended.
"Hoshino, you can control how you pass energy to your classmates if you practice more."
“I don't want to hurt anyone else in the process. Besides…"
“You're worried because no one wants to work with you, right? Today you stood apart during the whole class. To tell the truth, I don't know how it didn't occur to me before, but yesterday when you stayed in the infirmary with Oboro, one of the boys approached me and offered to be your partner for the rest of the term. He's waiting for you outside, turn around."
When Kaori looked at the door, she saw Aizawa waiting for her. The boy wasn't looking at them, he had his back against the wall waiting for her to come out so they could talk.
"He tried to approach you several times, but you didn't notice because you were running away." The teacher commented patting her on the head.
"No." Kaori said sounding more determined than ever. "I'm not gonna work with Shota."
"Eraser, come here!" The teacher did not let Kaori say another word. Averting his gaze as usual, Aizawa entered. “Could you repeat what you asked me a few days ago?”
"But..." The young man's face immediately took on color. "You were supposed to tell her."
"Come on! What's up with you two? You're friends, you're always together! Why is it so hard for you to talk?"
The boys looked at each other for only a second and the teacher couldn't help but laugh at the speed with which they looked in another direction.
“Let's work together, I can erase your power if things get messy, that's what we've always done. The only difference is that this time we can try to incorporate something new.”
"Hoshino, you need someone who can help control you, who better than a FRIEND who knows exactly when to lend a hand?"
"Sensei, Shota, I don't think this is a good idea."
"Are you underestimating me? We've trained together many times and there've been many times that I have left you on the ground." Aizawa commented, unable to hide a somewhat mischievous smile.
"Eraser's getting more and more powerful. Imagine if you managed to transfer a little energy to him, you'd be helping him a lot." Seeing that the girl couldn't make up her mind, the teacher decided to give them some time alone, maybe so they could make a decision.
“Shota, I appreciate your help, but…”
"What's wrong? Am I not as good a partner as Hizashi and Oboro?"
"It's not about that."
"Then why are you avoiding me?"
“There are better companions for you, Shota. We can continue training with the boys, as we've been doing, but we won't work together in this class.”
"I'm not usually easily annoyed, and I rarely get irritated by anything, but you're starting to get by refusing my help like this." The boy said seriously, he didn't understand why Kaori was so insistent on refusing to work together if she was the one who suggested it from the beginning. “Why did you ask them and not me to work with you? Do you really think that I'm not able to help you?”
“Why do you want us to do this together so badly? You already have your partner and you are doing well.”
"Because I don't want to keep seeing how you hurt yourself."
Despite being quiet, no one in the group had the facility to express themselves that Aizawa had. More assertive than any of them, when the young man wanted to, he clearly expressed his feelings, which showed how mature he actually was. Yes, he was a shy guy, but he was also respectful and considerate, so miscommunication was definitely not something that could happened around him.
“You keep talking about how you hurt the guys, but you don't talk about what happened to you. Stop thinking like a hero for a moment and think about your well-being, or at least let someone else do it.”
“Shota, you already did so much for me that day during the incident in the village.”
“Kaori, none of the times you left that infirmary did you do so with the permission of Recovery Girl. Every time your power gets out of control you're not only exhausted, but you consume all your energy. Recovery Girl told you very clearly, if you're not careful enough, you can hurt your internal organs, it's not just about breaking an arm. Ever since you trained with Hizashi you've had a hard time breathing, and yet you did it again with Oboro. It's not normal to see you so tired, and you have several days that you get agitated just walking from the dining room to the classroom. Besides, who cares about what happened that day? I didn't know there was a limit of times we would help each other. I don't know you, but I'm planning to continue working with you and the guys as long as I can, and if I need to help you every day of my life, I'll do it, Kari."
"I don't want to work with you because I wouldn't forgive myself if something happens to you again because of me, Shota! I've never underestimated you, I know what you're capable of, you're even better than all of us. I didn't choose them first because I consider them better than you, you know that's not true. When the four of us train together I always look for you before the boys. But this is different, this isn't normal training, and I'm afraid of hurting you."
"So you preferred to hurt them." Aizawa joked, managing to get a smile out of her.
“Well sometimes they are very annoying, Hizashi steals my food and yells a lot, and Oboro doesn't stop doing silly imitations. They deserved some of that." Her honest answer and the way she frowned was so funny and cute for the boy, that he giggled.
Those laughs… those sweet and warm laughs from Aizawa that were rarely seen made Kaori's heart lighter. How could she even think of hurting him? She couldn't… she loved him too much to put him in danger. Seeing him hurt once had been enough.
“I can help you, Kari. I can… I can protect you if you let me. I told you in the hospital that I'd get stronger so you wouldn't get hurt again. Everything will be fine, trust me.”
There were numerous times that both got injured, but Aizawa was right, he was the ideal training partner for Kaori, especially during that time when the girl didn't control her power very well.
They became so close that when they got hurt on a mission, they healed each other's wounds. Just like it was happening that night when Shota had taken over her eyes and back.
Tumblr media
Back on the roof where they were resting, Aizawa zipped up her friend's costume and when she turned around, they both smiled at each other tenderly, the step their relationship had taken that night had been huge. Kaori had opened up like she hadn't with anyone, and Shota knew how to make her feel understood and accompanied by him.
“Ready to go back? We still have two hours of patrol left.” Rising to his feet, Shota offered his hand to his friend, who took it, and smiling at him, nodded.
Fortunately, Aizawa healed her friend's pain, because as soon as they returned to work, they had a lot to do. They ran into the bad luck that it had started to snow just as they had to deal with several attempted robberies. In one of those chases, they ended up running down a very narrow alley with minimal lighting. They had come very close to capturing the criminal, but had lost track of him.
"I think he went down the other street." Aizawa commented, leaning on the edge of the wall, trying to look into the distance, but no one could be seen thanks to the snow.
Kaori, who was behind him, tried to look, but since she was shorter than him, she couldn't, so she placed her hands on her friend's shoulders and stood on her toes.
“There's no one there, Shota. We better go back the way we came."
"I think that…"
Aizawa had turned to speak better; however, in doing so, the distance between the two disappeared. They had been so focused looking for the trace of the villain, that they did not notice his proximity. Kaori was still holding onto her friend's shoulders when he turned around and their lips met for the first time. None of them had time to process what was happening, one moment they had been looking at the streets, and the next, they were giving each other their first kiss.
Despite having been an accident and without any intention, that kiss shook every fiber of their bodies. Their lips barely brushed against each other, it was just a peck, but Aizawa felt her hands hold his shoulders tighter, as if she was holding onto them so she wouldn't fall right there. Meanwhile, the shy boy couldn't do anything, his body stopped responding from the moment he felt Kaori's soft lips touch his. That short but sweet first kiss paused and restarted their lives.
Contrary to what anyone would have expected, including themselves, their shyness didn't make them jump miles away once they realized what had happened. Instead, the couple broke off the kiss by pulling away calmly, as if afraid something would crack if they moved abruptly.
"Kari, I'm sorry." Aizawa exclaimed barely audible, his gray eyes not moving from the ground.
"It was my fault." She responded without even being able to move her hands from the boy's shoulders.
They had no idea what to say or how to act. However, Kaori did dare to look at his face, and what she discovered she would never forget, Shota was smiling, he smiled shyly but lovely. The surprise caused by his reaction moved the girl so much that suddenly, something incredible happened in the area around them. Kaori didn't realize how or when, but she had controlled the energy that came from the snow and for a few seconds she didn't allow it to continue falling.
Aizawa noticed that something strange was going on and finally looked up from her. The boy gasped at the beauty of what was before him. And it wasn't just the snow that left him like that, but also seeing his first love with her beautiful pink hair full of snowflakes. That image became engraved in his heart.
The same thing happened to the girl, who was spellbound looking at Aizawa. His dark hair was still half-pulled back in a low messy bun, and his black clothes were covered in snow. He looked so handsome that she couldn't say a word.
Taking his hands to Kaori's face, Aizawa tried to move a few flakes from her cheeks, but that was too much for her, and losing control of the situation, she turned the snow that surrounded them into water, causing both of them to be drenched in seconds.
"I'm sorry!" She apologized as she wished to disappear; however, that night Kaori heard an unforgettable guffaw coming from Aizawa, who in the long run, ended up making her laugh too.
Thus, first under the snow, and then under the rain, they had their first kiss and the most intimate and lovely moment. They didn't have to say anything to each other or do anything but enjoy that pleasant accident.

Chapter 6 - Getting Closer
Fortunately, Kaori's recuperation didn't take long, after being on complete rest for a few days, Recovery Girl was able to use her quirk on her. More than any scar, what left a deep impression on her was how Aizawa took care of her and accompanied her during those days. That didn't mean that Hizashi and Oboro didn't worry about her, but Shota's tenderness and care were totally different. It wasn't common to see that much affection and softness while taking care of a friend in such a young boy.
Even when Kaori was back to school Aizawa continued looking after her.
Meanwhile, despite the three friends couldn't attend the sports festival, they helped with Shota's training. The truth was that training with Aizawa had become quite challenging even for Kaori. He was getting pretty good at hand-to-hand combat. So much so that he was the first to corner Kaori. None of the other two had succeeded because she always found a way to counterattack, but that day, Oboro and Hizashi gaped at the sight of Kaori lying on the ground with Aizawa on top of her holding her wrists and erasing her quirk. Shota didn't have to tie her with his scarf, it was enough to use his hands to immobilize the girl.
"Way to go, Shota!" Hizashi loudly praised.
"And by the way, find a room." Oboro joked in a low voice, only for the blonde.
"I think she liked being that close to Shota since the incident in the village when she fell directly into his lap." Hizashi whispered, chuckling.
"What's with that face? You asked for it." Aizawa muttered showing such a smirk that Kaori even swallowed hard.
“Why didn't you use your weapon?” She asked as Aizawa rose to his feet and offered his hand. "Hey! It's not fair! You never use it on me, only on them!"
“Do you want him to use it?” Hizashi asked. “It hurts, Shota clutches stronger than you think."
"I got it! Kari's into SDM!" Oboro claimed causing the girl's face to turn too red as she tried to get up but without taking Aizawa's hand.
To make matters worse, the three boys heard how the fabric of Kaori's uniform tore due to the impact of the fall. Her beautiful green eyes evidenced the panic she felt, which led her to try to cover herself with the first thing she had close to her. However, as she bent down, her fabric finished opening. Curiously, the girl didn't even think about her breasts, what urged her to cover was her back. But to tell the truth, she didn't have to worry much, because when it was already possible to see the lace of her underwear, Aizawa wrapped her torso with his scarf; although it did not touch her skin, it did manage to cover it completely.
"Why are you so nosy?!" Oboro asked shoving his friend while Hizashi regretted not having enough time to see the girl's underwear.
"Because you're a nasty pair of perverts." The black-haired boy responded by giving them such a blow to the head that they both even became dizzy.
“Do you know how close we came to seeing a pair of…”
The speed with which Aizawa's eyes turned a blood-red hue was the same with which Kaori silenced both guys by altering their body's temperatures to one so cold that their lips got blue.
"While you die of hypothermia, I'm going to my bedroom, no more training for today."
"Take my sweater." Aizawa offered taking it off and immediately forcing Hizashi and Oboro to turn around so Kaori could dress.
"Thank you, Shota." She said, her cheeks pink as she felt the boy's clothes on her body.
“You two are incredible…” Aizawa grumbled as his two friends tried to warm themselves.
"You're not fooling us, you also wanted to see!"
"Hizashi's right. Deep down you're also a pervert, but since you only want to see her yourself, you won't let us."
"She was awkward, assholes." Aizawa left the gym before the conversation with his friends continued.
Tumblr media
During the U.A. Sports Festival Aizawa was quite a surprise. The quiet, shy, and insecure boy was placed in the top ten best students, something that no one expected, not even him. However, since the incident where he had to fight seriously, his vision changed. And as the year continued, Aizawa continued to improve.
The second semester coincided with the start of their internships at hero agencies. The four of them had received interesting invitations, and at the end of the day, Aizawa and Kaori ended up on the same one. If they had spent time together before, that opportunity allowed them to share from dawn to dusk.
To tell the truth, all the experience was exhausting, they had to find a balance between ordinary classes, the internship at the agency, and training. But luckily they had each other to make things easier. Something that became very common was their late-night chats, since the agency they worked for patrolled more at night than during the day. That was how the young couple discovered several rooftops from where the view of the city was outstanding. Soon, they had a favorite building and would sit there eating something during their breaks.
"This is delicious, thank you for bringing something for me." The boy thanked with a shy smile. Kaori had brought dinner for both of them and they were eating together while enjoying the coolness of the night, especially at that time, which was already mid-December.
"No problem, I figured you'd had a jelly drink for dinner."
Shota laughed because he almost brought one, but he changed his mind. “I'm eating better, the training sessions are becoming more and more demanding.”
Kaori nodded as she discreetly admired her friend's shoulders. The one who had started as the thinnest was now beginning to get buffed even faster than Oboro and Hizashi. Also, now that he had to wear his sports uniform and hero costume more often, it was possible to see how his body was changing into an athletic one.
Something similar happened with Kaori, Aizawa had also noticed that her legs were even shapelier than before. Also, to his bad luck and even annoyance to him, his stupid classmates wouldn't stop talking about the number one student's curvy body, something that despite how respectful he was, he was also aware of. Due to all their training and work together, it was natural and common for them to be very close. Also, they caught each other several times and Shota had even lifted her on numerous occasions, so if there was one person who was actually aware of Kaori's curvy body, was him.
Naturally, the love confessions and date invitations also started for Kaori. Aizawa was present on countless occasions when she rejected even older boys; of course, he couldn't imagine the reason why she kept rejecting all of them.
“Do you think we can finish earlier today?”
"We must watch the other part of the city, and I think there aren't any professionals around."
Kaori rarely complained about her responsibilities, but that night she sighed and the fatigue was noticeable in her face. Besides that she had been scratching her eyes all night, the slightest brushing of her back with something else made her shudder with pain.
“Why don't you rest? You've worked hard, I can take care.” He kindly offered.
"We've worked the same, you must be very tired too." She replied by scratching her eyes again, but this time she did it so hard that the boy took her hands to make her stop.
“You're gonna hurt yourself. You've been doing the same thing all day."
“They itch a lot, they also burn.”
“If you had listened to me, you'd have closed them when I told you. The area where we had to chase those criminals was covered in dust.”
"If I had closed them, I wouldn't have been able to continue working."
"You could've only taken my hand one of the many times I offered it to you." The tired-looking young man replied. "Yet, you were as headstrong as always." Aizawa looked at his friend and shyly messed up her beautiful pink hair. "I think I can help you." After taking Kaori's food and putting it away, he tapped his lap, just as she did every time she helped him with the eye drops.
Of course, Shota's ears were burning red because it was the first time that he did something like that, he even needed to clear his throat several to speak.
“It won't hurt, I promise. You've been helping me with the same thing for a long time, you know it doesn't hurt.”
As in automatic, Kaori nodded. It didn't make sense that she was so embarrassed, it wasn't something new for them. Yet, if she thought about it, there was not a single time that the young hero's ears were not red while she helped him. However, at least he was used to it, she wasn't, and what a surprise she got to feel how muscular Shota's thighs were!
Aizawa managed to keep calm as best he could, but having that gorgeous girl whom he adored so much lying on his lap made his heart pound uncontrollably.
“Okay, we don't want any accidents, so just let me…” After looking in his pockets, he found the eye drops but not the hair tie he needed. "Oh... Kari, can I have a...?"
"Shota, no way! Again? But how come? I gave you that one today."
"I'm sorry, but they're so small that I keep losing them."
"It'd be great for you to have a creation quirk." She joked as she gave him the tie she had on her wrist.
"I promise I won't lose this one."
"How handsome..." She thought without missing a trace of how Shota tied his wavy black hair into a man bun; that way, he moved from his typical appearance, in which his long hair covered part of his face, to one in which only a few black locks danced with the wind in his face. “No wonder why other girls had started to talk to him.”
Kaori's eyes fixed on the attractive face of her friend in such a way that she got to make him blush and drop the bottle of drops on her face.
"Sorry, Sorry!" He exclaimed wanting to die from embarrassment; contrary to Aizawa, Kaori laughed sweetly, she found it extremely cute how awkward her friend could be. Despite all the time they spent together, there were moments when the young hero continued collapsing, just like when they first got to know each other.
"Shota, it's nothing, I didn't even feel it."
"You have a red dot on your forehead where it hit you, I'm really sorry."
If it hadn't been for Shota noticing again how red Kaori's eyes were, he might have continued apologizing, yet, it was more important to help her, so once again, he tried to apply the drops.
“If you do that again, I'm gonna screw it again…” he muttered seriously, just as he spoke to Hizahi and Oboro when they weren't listening to him.
"Do what?" she asked.
"Look at me like that."
"Fine, I won't see you anymore."
The girl tried not to look into his eyes, but it was worse because she fixed her gaze on Aizawa's lips. She had paid attention to them before, she couldn't deny it, but she had never been so close to them as that day. Despite Shota's serious and cold face, Kaori had been able to appreciate his warm smiles, as well as his mischievous smiles when he played a joke on his friends. She found very amusing the creepy smile Aizawa dedicated to his friends when they began to stress him out to the point that he thought of how to get even. She could also tell when he was preoccupied by the way his jaw tightened. No matter which gesture, they all made her heart race, she just liked him a lot.
But if Kaori had paid attention to him, Shota could perfectly visualize her face without even needing to be near her. Although it was true he was very sharp and attentive to details, it was not just about that. Aizawa had paid attention to her ever since he met her. Therefore, it was remarkably easy for him to perceive that something had disturbed her even before Kaori straightened up to sit down again.
"Forget it, it's not necessary, they don't burn so much." She said, avoiding at all costs to look at him again.
"You feel bad?" He asked not being able to imagine that HE would make a girl as precious as her nervous. “Let me apply them, trust me, it'll be worse later. You don't want your eyes as red as mine."
"There's nothing wrong with your eyes, Shota."
Kaori also had moments of shyness, especially when it came to Aizawa. However, she would not let him think ill of his eyes. Despite looking tired, they had always made her feel calm; to tell the truth, it was what she liked the most about her friend.
Suddenly, a cold breeze irritated the girl's eyes so much that she closed them tightly. In front of that, he didn't even ask her, he laid her down again on his legs, and trying to ignore her gaze, he put the drops.
"Better, right?"
Shota's question was accompanied by a sweet smile as he watched her with a much more relaxed face resting on his legs. Yet, Kaori's comfort was interrupted when her back brushed against Aizawa's knee. The girl couldn't prevent a soft moan from escaping her lips and hunching over at the pang of pain. Shota had already noticed from her that her back hurt, but it was so strange to see her complain like that, that the boy immediately became alert, looking for some trace of blood.
"Kari, what's wrong?"
"I think I scraped my back earlier."
"Can I take a look?"
"It's nothing."
“You won't go with Recovery Girl, you always do the same. If it hurts, we should at least know if it's something serious."
"I'll take care once I get home."
“Does that scar bother you so much that you won't let me help you?”
“How do you know I have a scar? I've never let…”
“When you saved us from the explosion, your clothes burned. When I covered you I noticed it, also when you helped me train for the sports festival I could see it.”
Kaori moved away from Aizawa and immediately got up. She tried to ignore the situation by picking up her food, but Shota also got up, and taking her hand, made her stop.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to be inappropriate."
"I hate it." She replied still without meeting his eyes. "I can't stand looking at it, I'd have preferred that you hadn't seen it either."
"Kari, it's just a scar, I have a lot too."
It was extremely strange for Aizawa to see her act like that, she was avoiding him to the point that she seemed to want to get out of there by running away. He knew she was an introvert, but she had never avoided him the way she was now. Having no idea what else to do, the boy proposed to go back on patrol, but to his surprise, she asked him to stay a little longer.

Tumblr media
Prev. Chapter
Pairing: Shota Aizawa x female OC
Genre: Shota Aizawa X female OC fluff, angst, high school romance, friends to lovers
Words: 4.3k
Summary: 15 years ago, Eraser Head was starting his hero studies with his best friends Hizashi and Oboro. Contrary to what people think, his teenage years in the U.A. were bright and lovely, filled with the laughter of his best friends and his girlfriend's unconditional love. What happened over the years? What changed him into a gloomy sensei?
Extra note: You can totally picture Y/N in the OC female name, it's just that it'd be cute to read Aizawa calling her pet names. 🤍
Once again, thanks to @merrymonkey for illustrating this story. I love you, girl! 🥰

Chapter 5 - Eraser Head
The girl demonstrated why she quickly earned the title of number one student; sadly, she was still too young, and she still lacked training. Aware of the grenade, she got up and propelled herself with the energy she managed to manipulate from the wind, she got as close as she could to the bomb. In a fraction of a second, Kaori reactivated her quirk and managed to convert part of the explosion's energy to one through which she got to put her friends to safety by launching them several meters away.
As expected, Kaori was not able to take all the heat and the shock wave of the bomb, so the four of them ended up receiving an impact that, for a few minutes, prevented them from standing up. However, her work had been truly heroic, she had saved them and many civilians and had considerably lessened the impact of the bomb.
Hizashi and Oboro had been thrown in one direction, while she and Aizawa in another. The first two had minor burns and bruises that didn't turn out to be serious, though it took them some time to get back on their feet and understand that they were surrounded by the ruins of the school, fires, and leaks. It would not be simple to get out of there unscathed and they had to do it quickly, they didn't know how the other two were. Ideally, Oboro would have blown them out of there, but he and Kaori had practically exhausted all their energy rescuing the children. Therefore, they had no choice but to try to get out without using their quirks.
Meanwhile, when Aizawa regained consciousness and was able to see through all the dust, he started looking for his friends, he had no idea if they were close or if they were even alive. Soon, he glimpsed a body lying unconscious on the ground.
"Kaori!" He exclaimed as he saw her pink hair. Driven by the fear of not knowing if she was still alive, Aizawa ignored his injuries and ran toward her. "Kaori, wake up!" He begged taking her in his arms without realizing that his hands and his whole body trembled uncontrollably as a consequence of his fear.
Seeing Kaori's face covered in blood and the painful position of her right arm made him despair, and even more so when he noticed the wounds on her chest and abdomen. Her shirt had burned, exposing all the cuts and burns.
"Kaori, please wake up!" He continued imploring her to no avail. Thus, he took off his coat to be able to cover her and get her out.
However, when Aizawa tried to do it, he saw her back and noticed that, in addition to more cuts, she had a huge scar, but there was no time to wonder what had happened to her. The area where they were was especially dangerous, one false step and they would be trapped in rubble, in addition to the imminent threat of a building collapsing in flames.
On top of that, Aizawa was sure that the guy who threw the grenade wasn't alone; that is, sooner or later they would run into the villains. For the first time, it was becoming impossible for him to remain calm. With each step, he looked at his friend and continued to confirm the delicate state in which she was. In addition to what he could see with the naked eye, he suspected that Kaori had internal bleeding and broken ribs. The young hero didn't know how much energy she had managed to convert and how much had directly impacted her body. What would happen if he was not able to take her to some hospital on time? A hospital! They didn't even have one around!
As a result of his hasty and desperate steps, Aizawa was about to fall into an area where the sidewalk had been destroyed and there were giant holes. His strong jolt made Kaori, still unconscious, let out a slight moan.
"Sorry, Sorry! I'll get you out of here, I promise." He said hugging her tighter so he could continue protecting her.
Aizawa's mind was in so many places at once that he missed a villain approaching them. When he noticed, the guy who had thrown the grenade was a few steps away.
“How honorable! A young hero trying to save his girlfriend when he can't even save himself!"
"Stay away" warned Aizawa ready to fight.
Shota knew that he had everything to lose, the guy looked like a powerful villain, enough to be able to remove enormous rubble from his path as if it were the simplest thing, a delicate kick was enough to move them away. To make matters worse, Aizawa understood as soon as he saw him with a grenade in his hand that his quirk was creation.
Before the criminal could create any other weapon, Aizawa activated his erasure preventing the man to depend on anything else but his physical strength.
"Shit! Even without his quirk, I'm not worthy of being his rival." You'd have to be an idiot to imagine that a sixteen-year-old boy could take on a man twice his height and muscle mass. "I can't escape either, a mistake, a jolt, or even hitting something would be dangerous for Kaori."
Aware that he could not expose the girl any further, Aizawa moved away from the villain and laid Kaori down on the floor again so that he could face the villain. He had to survive, he had to fight even though his legs were shaking. For no reason would he let her friend be touched.
While he was trying to analyze the situation and find a way to get out of there alive, he heard her voice calling him.
“Shota…” With a lot of effort, she had opened her eyes and got a clue of what was happening.
"Kaori, you're awake!"
"Get out of here, quickly."
"No." He said with such conviction that no one would doubt his word.
"He's getting closer, please get out of here." She was so terrified that her eyes were all glassy.
"Listen to me," He asked cupping her face between his hands. "We're gonna get out of here together, I promise. Just trust me, Kari" His way of calling her made her smile just a little, but the concern was too much to handle. "You already did your part, it's my turn."
Before walking away from her, he gave her a slight smile, barely noticeable, but confident and even tender, he wanted her to trust him.
She could never forget when the villain rushed up and kicked Aizawa with brutal force. The girl tried to get to her feet and help him, but the pain in her chest had her immobilized. Yet, Shota didn't give up so easily and got up again. His immense determination allowed him on multiple occasions to keep fighting on even after suffering significant and painful injuries from his training.
"As strong as he is, he’s an idiot." The boy thought when he saw that the man had hit a building that was about to collapse.
Maybe he could control the situation... they weren't rivals in physical strength, but in intellect, Shota was on a level that the criminal could never even dream of reaching.
Analyzing the situation, Aizawa was aware that pro heroes were coming, but who knows when. Moreover, ensnaring his opponent with his binding cloth would be impossible due to the man's huskiness. Also, it was the first time he would be forced to use his erasure for so long, he did not know if his eyes would bare the dryness of not blinking. Anyways, his well-being was far beyond his priorities, he needed to immobilize the villain or escape from him so he could take Kaori to a hospital.
While he was trying to come up with a plan, the enemy kept attacking, but the training with the boys paid off. Aizawa was much faster than he was before, and he was surprisingly agile, so he could dodge most blows without much difficulty. Yet, when he received them, Aizawa needed some seconds to put himself together, which gave the enemy time to continue wounding him. Realistically, his only chance was to rely on the buildings' rubble to immobilize the villain, if he blinked, if he allowed him to regain his quirk, he and Kaori would be dead.
The burning in his eyes was terrible, he had never had them drier and he was sure that one of the blows had fractured a few ribs, but he kept fighting. Aizawa saw that the villain was getting tired, but so was he, and a second blow to his ribs made him fall to his knees and close his eyes for a moment.
"Shit!"
The villain was so close that a few steps would be enough for the kick to hit Aizawa directly in his chest. Besides, letting the villain recover his quirk for those seconds allowed him to create a blade with which he planned to kill the young student.
For her part, Kaori had grabbed what was left of a wall to stand up. She narrowly escaped her lips with a groan of pain, but she had to be silent if she wanted to give Aizawa a hand. One of the energies that gave her the most work was the one that was generated from the movement of a person, she could manipulate it, yes, but to do so she had to use a lot of her own, and that always put her at a disadvantage. Just as Aizawa refused to stop fighting, neither did she. Kaori was aware that she was pushing her body to the limit, she had just a little energy remaining in her body, and at any moment she would collapse again, leaving her body incapable of healing itself. Yet she needed to try again, at least one last time, to help Shota.
As the villain started running towards the young hero, Kaori activated her quirk and turning the guy's movement into unbearable heat for him, pinned him down, and giving Aizawa time to react.
"What are you doing? You can't stand up!" He exclaimed coming to her side and grabbing her by the shoulders before she collapsed.
As much as Aizawa tried to ignore his own injuries, his vision was already beginning to blur from the pain, plus when he tried to lift his friend, he ended up coughing up blood.
"Shota, stop." She asked with her face soaked in tears to see him so hurt and trying to help her.
Suddenly, the same look of panic Shota had when he caught a glimpse of the guy about to throw the grenade took over the girl's face as she observed that at least five more villains were approaching them. There was no way for the young couple to fight them, they barely managed to stand on their feet.
"I still have some energy left, I can get you out of here." She said taking his hand.
"Kaori, don't you dare." He warned her with a broken voice, he knew what she was capable of to keep him safe.
"We can't escape from here together, Shota."
"Kaori, I won't forgive you if you... Kaori!" He exclaimed noticing how his feet were lifted off the ground by the girl's quirk; however, no matter how much she wanted, she couldn't do anything else, just that small effort made her lose her balance again. "Why the hell don't you understand that I'm not leaving you here?!" Shota asked in her ear as he hugged her against his chest so she wouldn't fall.
Using the proximity, Shota brought his hand to the girl's wrist to check her. The result left him cold, Kaori wouldn't last long like that, or rather, there was no way Aizawa would have enough time to take her to a hospital. Realizing that was enough to break the boy, who took her face and looking into her eyes, prevented her from continuing to use her quirk. Kaori noticed the red in the irises of his eyes, but also the tears falling down his cheeks.
"You can't do this to me," he said with a trembling voice. "You have to hold on a little longer, please, Kari, I beg you."
Pushing his body to the limit, Aizawa lifted her once more willing to run from there. He really doubted he would make it that far, but he couldn't just wait for the villains to catch them. In his desperation, the young hero ran only with his eyes on the ground so as not to fall. Suddenly, he was unable to take another step due to the scorching heat that surrounded the entire area and a huge arm holding him from falling on his face.
"Easy, kiddos, you've done enough."
The last thing Kaori could see before passing out was blazing flames engulfing everything around, Endeavor had arrived. The pro heroes were already there, Oboro and Hizashi had helped them to find their friends.
Tumblr media
Several hours had passed since the professional heroes arrived and finished taking care of the situation. The four students were taken to the nearest hospital to be treated immediately. Despite there were doctors with healing quirks that allowed Hizashi, Oboro, and Aizawa to recover faster, Kaori's injuries were much more serious; hence they had to bring in Recovery Girl. And even so, Kaori would not recover quickly, Recovery Girl's quirk depended on each person's healing process and Kaori's state was pitiful, there was very little energy left in her that would allow her to speed up her recovery. In fact, the heroine's worried face remained for a long time.
"She will be fine, right?" Oboro asked Hizashi in a low voice, one day had passed and Kaori showed no signs of waking up.
The blond guy nodded to his friend, but he couldn’t say much, worry was also killing him. "Kaori's impressively strong, she just needs a little time."
Although the three boys knew that they were alive because of what their friend had done and it was natural for them to feel guilty, Aizawa did not process what had happened. He had said a few words to Hizashi and Oboro, but once they entered the hospital, the black-haired student hadn't said anything, he had just sat next to the girl's bed.
"Wake up..." A horrible pressure on his chest hadn't left him since he had seen her laying on the floor after absorbing the bomb's impact.
Night fell and with it, a cool breeze forced Kaori to instinctively look for the blanket, but when she tried to do so, her right arm hurt, she tried to turn around and then the pain was even greater, making her open her eyes. She tried to straighten up, but the pain increased.
Finally, Aizawa's voice was heard in the room as he rose to gently hold her. "Don't move, you're still hurt."
"Shota!" She exclaimed. "Why are you using bandages?" She asked still very confused until memories started to appear.
“Kari, you woke up! Oboro, go find Recovery Girl to come to check her out." Hizashi said looking serious, something that NEVER happened. "How do you feel, gorgeous?" Hizashi asked as Aizawa sported a look of anguish.
"Kind of dizzy."
"You and Shota broke several ribs," Hizashi explained.
"I'm sorry…" She said lowering her face. “Did I hurt you guys when I took you away from the bomb?”
"Kari, if it wasn't for you, that bomb would have killed us." Said the blond with a sad smile. “You need to rest, your body's very hurt. Recovery Girl did what she could, but you need to rest."
The girl nodded and trying to move a little, her whole body ached, something that her two friends didn't go through.
“Where the hell is Oboro?! I'm going to go find Recovery Girl myself." Hizashi exclaimed storming out.
Kaori noticed Aizawa's eyes too irritated, she had never seen them like that. But besides that, his look was so gloomy that he worried her because he made her imagine that something serious had happened.
"Shota, what's up?"
The boy clenched his fists and bit his lower lip, he was afraid that if he spoke, his voice would break, he was still too affected by having seen the girl so badly. “You were close to dying. Don't expose yourself like that again."
"You did it too, I saw you. You couldn't take it anymore and you kept fighting. You were very brave." Perhaps because of the sedatives they had given her, the girl acted without much thought, and bringing her left hand to Aizawa's cheek, she caressed it and then pushed back a lock of hair to get a better look at his eyes. “They’re very irritated, you've never used your quirk for so long. I'm sorry, I promise I won't act anymore without listening to you."
"Fuck it, Kaori!" Aizawa closed his eyes and the girl felt in her hand his tears. "Fuck it! I don't care! You almost died in my arms! Shit, Kaori, I'm so angry with you! Do you have any idea how scared I was of losing you?! And then you come and don't wake up no matter how many times I asked you to open your eyes!"
"Shota..." She softly called, yet he continued without looking at her. "Shota" She called a second time, this time grabbing delicately his chin and caressing his cheek. Aizawa looked at her, but the tears continued falling. "I'm here, I'm okay."
Straightening up little by little, Kaori managed to sit up. Her broken ribs still hurt her, her body still resented the impact of the bomb, but none of that was enough to stop her. Finally, she was close to Aizawa and her beautiful green eyes could see his gray ones. Despite seeing him upset and seeing him cry, she couldn't help but give him a sweet smile, one that could only be given by someone who truly loved him.
"I'm so happy you're safe."
"Kari, I'm serious!" That time, he talked softly due to the proximity. "You tried to push me away when I was trying to take care of you. Why are you so stubborn?"
The last thing was barely a whisper, he had closed his eyes again and for a few moments, he just enjoyed the warmth of the girl's hand on his face. He automatically moved his head a little, exactly like a cat looking for affection, something that made her smile. But not only he had been scared. Kaori had been willing more than once to do anything as long as Shota escaped unscathed. Now, seeing him next to her and safe, broke her strong spirit, and just as it happened to the boy, she relived how traumatizing it all had been.
"Shota, hug me."
The shy boy didn't think twice and bringing her body closer to him, very careful not to hurt her, he hugged her. There was no point in arguing anymore, his friend was safe. His heart no longer felt tight, it was beating normal again, or rather, it was beating non-stop again, as it always did when the girl was close to him.
"I'm so sorry, but I thought we wouldn't get out of there alive. That's why I tried to push you away. I was terrified." While Aizawa listened to her, he tried to comfort her by stroking her back, but Kaori kept crying. "You're headstrong too! You didn't listen to anything I said."
"I listened to everything you said, I always do" Aizawa let her weep some more, but he didn't want her to get agitated, so placing his hand behind her neck, and then moving it to her face, he tried to soothe her.
"I don't want to see the guys in danger again, much less you."
"We don't want anything to happen to you either, that's why we'll keep training, so you won't have to risk like you did."
"Your eyes have never been so irritated." Aizawa couldn't help but smiled noticing the girl's pout as she gently passed her thumbs near his eyes.
"Then, you have no option but to get well soon. I need a hand with the eye drops."
If it hadn't been for the medicines and because her pain still had her destabilized, she would have seen how flushed the boy's cheeks were.
“You were amazing today.” The more she talked, the more tired she sounded, even her eyes were beginning to close again.
"Me? You got us out of that explosion and never stopped helping me."
“I told you we'd be a good team.”
After a deep sigh, the boy looked at Kaori's lovely face. Even looking tired after such a fight he continued seeing her as the most stunning girl. “Next time they won't hurt you like this, I promise. I'm gonna train harder."
Despite being exhausted, Kaori heard him and gave him one more smile before going back to sleep.
Meanwhile, outside, Oboro and Hizashi were holding Recovery Girl's gown so that she wouldn't enter. The old woman had already hit them with her cane but they insisted on holding her back.
"Please wait a little longer!" Oboro asked.
"Shota’s very shy, it's the first time he talks so much, give him a little more time!" Hizashi now said looking from the window at his friends.
"Enough!" She ordered hitting them a little harder and finally going inside. "Everyone, go rest. Aizawa, you shouldn't even be here, you have four fractured ribs, go to bed NOW. And you, Yamada, and Shirakumo, you two better disappear before I can actually kill you." Hearing the old woman so angry awoke Kaori and made her giggle. "Hoshino, darling, I bet you want to sleep, but I must check you first. Let me tell you, you're built differently. That kind heart of yours gave a tough fight. I was worried about you. Luckily, this young boy took care of you and Endeavor brought you to the hospital quickly. That rarely happens, he focuses on resolving cases, not on treating victims."
"Endeavor?" Kaori asked looking at her friends and remembering some flames.
"Part of Endeavor's crew took care of the situation. It wasn't that simple, though. The villains were so freaking strong that some pro heroes needed to come to the hospital too." Oboro explained.
"Endeavor knocked out some of them before taking you here." Aizawa said.
"Thank heavens it was Endeavor the hero who attended the situation, just he or All Might would have enough time to bring you here. But, enough chatting, you're recovering well, but you must stay in bed for more days. Don't make me repeat myself, kids, get out."
Tumblr media
The next morning when Kaori opened her eyes again, she noticed Aizawa already by her side. He had fallen asleep on the couch next to her bed. Suddenly, the door was flung open and Oboro and Hizashi entered, it was impossible to separate those four.
Of course, they did not count on the fact that the director of the U.A. and their homeroom teacher would arrive shortly after. Both heroes had been there since the night before; however, they had not properly spoken to the students because they were giving them time to recover or at least be aware of what they had done. From the moment both adults entered, the four friends knew that they were not bringing good news. As a penalty for exposing themselves the way they did, they were suspended from the sports festival and had their provisional hero licenses withheld for the remainder of the school year. They were only not expelled because the number of civilians they rescued was staggering, in addition to the enormous bravery they had shown.
"Besides, be thankful to Endeavor, we bumped into him and he told us it was because of you four that the civilians survived." Said their homeroom teacher.
"The words of an elite hero like him matter to us," explained the director. "But even so, you needed to respect and follow protocols. We were ready to expel you from the U.A., but incredible as it may seem, Endeavor interceded for you. According to him, you showed more courage and professionalism than numerous pro heroes he had worked with before."
"Don't smile" The homeroom said to Oboro while hitting him on his head. "You're still in some big problems."
“Sensei,” Kaori called. "I understand that we should get disciplinary actions, but it wasn't Shota's idea."
"That's right, we forced him to go, he tried to warn us many times," Hizashi added.
"To tell the truth, he was the one who tried to contact the professional heroes or the police, but we didn't give him time," Oboro said.
“That wasn't so, I…”
"Quiet, Aizawa." Said the homeroom teacher. “I can bet they're telling the truth. That way of acting, jumping into action without thinking first isn't like you. That's why you can participate in the festival, but we're going to retain the license for a while, not as long as those of your friends.”
"But…"
“You'll compete in the festival without your friends and the discussion’s over."
For his part, the director nodded and then focused on the girl. “Hoshino, you'll finish your recovery in the academy infirmary. Also, you're prohibited from going out on weekends until further notice. You live under our protection, what happened to you is the responsibility of the school and as such we extend an apology to your parents. Until your teacher considers that you’ve learned the lesson of not exposing yourself, forget about leaving the campus.”
"Yes, sir." The girl responded extremely discouraged.

Chapter 4 - Teamwork
The closer to the disaster zone, the more present Aizawa had what had happened during the provisional license exam. He didn't want to see his friends in danger again, that was what he tried the most to avoid. Of course he was worried about the civilians, but he was also worried about Oboro, Hizashi, and Kaori. Aizawa did not realize how heroic his way of acting was and did not give himself enough credit. That day by going after them, he risked both his studies in the U.A. and his life. The young hero prioritized his friends' lives before any protocol. The sense and self-control he had maintained during the provisional license exam were hanging by a thread the closer they got to town.
Tumblr media
A week ago, the U.A. and other academies had organized the exam to obtain the hero provisional license. The students were aware that they had to give it their all in terms of controlling their quirks, survival skills, situation management, and victim care. In other words, they must demonstrate everything they had learned in the first semester. In addition, the better they did, the more points they would receive in their final scores and the greater visibility they would have, since several professional heroes were there and not just to evaluate them, they wanted to start thinking about who they would recruit in their agencies once the internships began.
Several of the veteran heroes were already sitting in the grandstands and talking among themselves. The students were casting nervous but also admiring glances from the arena where they were warming up before the exam began. Everyone was motivated to shine in front of their idols.
"No fucking way! Guys, look who came!" Hizashi took off his yellow glasses as he noticed Enji Todoroki.
Walking between the grandstands was Endeavor, the flame hero, the man with the largest number of resolved cases in history. The tall, sturdily-built man with an incredible muscular figure had short crimson hair and sharp turquoise eyes. His beard and mustache appear to be made of fire, just as his hero costume for it included flames streaming across his chest, upper torso, arms, and shoulders. He uses his flames as a makeshift mask around his eyes, and his tall boots appear to be made of blaze themselves.
Just his mere presence was enough to keep the students and some colleagues silent. Despite being the number two hero, second only to All Might, the hero lacked charisma and although he instilled safety in those around him, he also seeded fear and a lot of respect. No one had seen him smile, not even his U.A. professors when he was a student, in fact, he was well known for his bad temper, something that he maintained, or rather, grew with his adulthood.
"What is he doing here?" Kaori asked totally intimidated by Endeavor's appearance.
"Preventing those who might hinder him from doing his job from getting the license?" Hizashi asked.
"No, his agency's growing like no other, it's normal for him to look for talented people to be his sidekicks in the future," Aizawa replied.
"Isn't it very soon to do it?" asked the blonde.
"That's what the rest is doing."
"Dude, the rest is not him, he's a pro among pros."
"By the age of 20, Endeavor had already taken his place as the No. 2 Pro Hero. Every step this man takes is calculated." That time, it was Oboro who spoke. "He's already been in that position for 10 years. Shit! Now I'm even more nervous. I don't want to make a fool of myself in front of him."
Their conversation was interrupted by the instructor's call to start the test.
As expected, the group worked together and they were quickly noticed by the pro heroes. Despite being so young, they had impeccable group work. Hizashi was the one who made the first move by stunning the villains with his shouts and then giving Aizawa room to do his thing and erase their enemies' quirks. Next, Oboro and Kaori were in charge of giving the final blow with their shocking fighting skills, both melee and distance.
Endeavor had fixed his gaze on those four. It was enough for him to look at them for a few minutes to recognize Aizawa's enormous analytical ability, Hizashi's speed, and Oboro's mighty attacks. Yet, the one who genuinely interested him was the girl. In all the years he had been working as a hero, he had not seen someone who could attack in such different ways. Within minutes he had seen her knock people down in a variety of ways. Endeavor caught sight of blizzards and landslides, but he also witnessed her adversaries turning blue-lipped from some use of temperature that was still unclear to him. Yet, there was something he noticed, and it was that, before scenarios with fire, Oboro acted before Kaori. Was it just a coincidence, or was there something behind it?
“Are there no cameras there?” Endeavor asked the academy principal as he watched the boys entering a largely destroyed building.
“No, there are major power outages. Actually, it's one of the most dangerous areas.” The director replied. "Yet, those four don't fear anything. Talented children but problematic. They give headaches to their homeroom teacher." He joked.
"They don't look like first-year kids."
"Not at all! They remind me of Toshinori's years here, and yours too. There was no way to make you guys slow down."
"What about the girl?"
"Oh! I'm seeing you're interested in Hoshino Kaori."
"What's her quirk?" The director couldn't help but giggle seeing that Endeavor's straightforward way to communicate hadn't changed from the days he was a student.
"Energies, she controls them."
"Any of them!?"
"Any of them" He replied proud of the young student.
Meanwhile, the four friends had already entered and were looking for possible victims. Relying on sonic waves, Hizashi had a special sensitivity to sounds and was the first to hear a cry. Alerting the others that there was indeed someone among the rubble, they began the search. However, as the director had told Endeavor, the area was covered in cables, and electrical discharges were rife. Every time one sounded, Kaori felt nauseated and a chill ran through her entire body.
Leaving Hizashi and Oboro to the front, Aizawa stayed a few steps behind with Kaori. He was surprised to see her stop and take her hands to her belly.
"What's wrong?" He asked more as a whisper so as not to alert the other two.
"Nothing, let's just get out of here fast." She asked while opening just a bit her costume because she was having a hard time breathing.
"Hey, Kari! Can't you do something with all this electricity?" Hizashi asked, but the girl shook her head.
"I already told you that I don't control this type of energy well."
“And if you turn it into light? It's fucking difficult to see where I step on."
"Language, there's a victim nearby," Aizawa said.
Oboro couldn't reply for did not see when he stepped on a cable and the electric shock literally sent him flying.
"Oboro!" Kaori yelled running towards him along with the other two.
"Are you okay?" Aizawa asked helping him sit up and feeling his pulse.
"Yeah, just a little dazed." When Oboro tried to stand up, he almost fell because his legs didn't respond to him. The boy did not land square to the floor just because Hizashi and Aizawa grabbed him by his arms.
"Your muscles are contracted from the electric shock, we must get you out of here fast." Kaori expressed with an evident look of concern.
"Shota, put him on my back," Hizashi asked, bending down while the black-haired boy helped his friend.
“Are you sure you can get him out, Hizashi? The last fight left you..."
"It's no big deal."
"Wait, we can't go, there's still someone here," Oboro said.
"I'll look for the victim."
"Shota, you can't stay alone, this place is a trap," Hizashi commented.
"I'll stay with him." Aizawa looked at Kaori uneasy, not because he didn't trust her, but because he knew she was the most desperate to get out of there. "Go, Hizashi, the faster they check Oboro, the better." Hizashi nodded and soon he had disappeared with Oboro on his back.
Avoiding an accident, Shota stopped Kaori on numerous occasions due to her anxiety to finish soon. Every time she heard electrical discharges or saw sparks, the girl would take a few steps back without noticing before she was going to step on a cable, or worse, that she didn't take a wrong step and the building would end up collapsing.
After a while, Aizawa and Kaori located the victim under a lot of rubble, it was a kid whose similarity with Kaori's little brother led her to forget that it was an exam and that the boy was not in real danger. Kaori didn't think twice as she rushed to help him. Fortunately, Aizawa held her, because if she had taken one more step, some ruins would have fallen on top of her.
"Focus!" He ordered a little louder than normal due to how worried he was about her safety. "What's going on with you? You haven't paid attention to your surroundings since we walked in here. If you won't be careful enough, then stay back and let me do it. When it's safe, take the child out, before that DO NOT move.”
Kaori was impulsive, that was true, but she was smart enough not to put herself in danger; however, that day something happened to her. She seemed like she was another person and the change occurred from the moment they entered that building.
"I'm sorry, Shota," Kaori's voice was barely audible.
If Aizawa had known the reason behind Kaori's weird behavior, perhaps he would have been a bit softer in speaking to her, but he would know it until some time later.
In the end, they approved the test, and despite Oboro's injury, which was promptly attended to by Recovery Girl, they all received compliments even from the pro heroes. Although Endeavor didn't say anything, the guys knew he had followed their performance closely. Despite how flattering that was, Kaori never showed a single smile and that night while they dined together at Oboro's house, hoping that he would recover soon, the girl did not try her food with the excuse that she was tired. The situation did not change in the following days either, every time the subject of the exam came up, she was silent, even more so if they talked about Endeavor.
Tumblr media
Back to the incident, the group finally reached the town, thus discovering that Kaori had been right. The explosions had been disastrous and the whole village was on fire. Or at least what could be seen, since there was dust everywhere.
"Damn! This is chaotic! There are too many victims!” Hizashi said as he was about to move closer, but Aizawa grabbed his arm at the same time that he immobilized Hizashi and Kaori, who were also about to jump in to help people.
“We won't contribute ANYTHING if we don't first analyze what's happening. The three of you calm down or you will make the situation worse.”
Fortunately, they complied with their friend's order and waited before acting without thinking. The first thing they had to do was find a safe place where they could take the victims, which at the beginning seemed impossible due to the low visibility they had. Yet, Kaori and Oboro took care of this, while he created clouds, Kaori transformed their energy into wind that could dissipate the smoke. However, she had to be extremely careful, as the wind would boost the fire.
"It's not enough with the wind, you need to do something with the blaze," Oboro mentioned putting the girl in a bind.
There wasn't much time for Kaori to think or hesitate, hearing a building behind them collapse in flames forced her to focus on the fire and try to extinguish it at least a little. Hizashi and Oboro looked around waiting for the moment to come over and help; meanwhile, Aizawa did not take his eyes off Kaori and her hands. He had already seen what could happen to her if she handled more heat than she could. In case that happened again, he was ready to cancel the quirk.
A slight wince from her prompted Aizawa to become alert, but Kaori didn't let him move. "No, Shota. It's fine, I have it under control."
Despite feeling the heat on her palms, arms, and even shoulders, the girl kept going until she was able to calm the fire in several of the buildings, allowing her friends to go in and rescue people. Thus, after taking out some civilians, they knew that some of them had already given the alert and were waiting for properly trained heroes to appear.
No matter the mess they were in, the four students managed to keep things under control. They had already encountered seriously hurt victims, but that hadn't made them despair or make hasty decisions. Nevertheless, there was something that did not fit in Aizawa's head. The bombs had been planted by someone, someone had activated them. Where was the responsible? It didn't make sense to just plant a bomb and walk away.
At the same time that Aizawa scanned the place with his gaze, feeling more and more anxious, Hizashi tried to calm down some women, they were on the verge of collapse, screaming and asking for help for their children trapped in a school. Fortunately, even if the building was barely standing, the kids were safe, yet, they couldn't get out because the main entrance was blocked by some light poles and it was dangerous. Moreover, escaping through the windows was definitely not an option because of the broken glasses all over the place.
Therefore, forced to depend on the floating ability that Oboro and Kaori barely controlled, they took out the children one by one. Meanwhile, Hizashi and Aizawa received the children on the ground and were alert in case their friends needed some help.
Oboro and Kaori focused so much and controlled their quirks so well, that they managed to complete the task. Naturally, in the end, when they were going down they had exhausted a lot of their strength and the two lost their balance, but aware that this could happen, Aizawa and Hizashi were ready and caught them just in time.
“That was great, you got them all out!” Shouted the blond patting his friend's back after helping Oboro not to fall directly to the ground. "The mothers already took them away, they are out of danger!"
For their part, Kaori and Aizawa couldn't have had their cheeks flushed redder from the position in which they had ended up. Aizawa had caught Kaori head-on, and as they fell, the boy landed sitting with her on his thighs, still facing each other.
"Hum... are you ok?" Shota asked clearing his throat, he hadn't noticed that his hands were still on Kaori's waist and hers on his shoulders.
"I swear I'll never mock Oboro and his floating technique again."
Kaori's comment not only made Aizawa laugh but distracted him, which was a mistake considering he was the one who had the situation around them under control by his shrewd vigilance. Even so, the boy's senses were so sharpened and trained that he noticed how something moved in the distance, something that made his skin chill. A man had just thrown a grenade. The boy's panicked face led Kaori to direct her gaze in the same direction. There was no time to process what happened next, much less to react. Aizawa only felt when the girl got up and barely had time to run in front of her friends and raise her arms.
“Kaori, NO!” He tried to warn with a piercing cry, standing up as well and trying to get closer to her, but it was too late, he failed to stop her.

Chapter 3 - Aizawa's Warning
Soon, the group started to establish their own traditions, such as always having lunch together on the roof or spending breaks under the huge U.A. fruit trees, from where they occasionally got something to eat. Generally, while Oboro insisted on collecting fruit from the trees, Aizawa napped in the comfort of the grass, next to Hizashi and Kaori, who enjoyed playing cards. Even more common was to listen when Oboro fell from the trees, and when Kaori found out that Hizashi was cheating on her. Such fuss woke Aizawa up, and just by his grunts, the rest knew they had awakened the beast, for his bad temper lasted for some hours.
Also, another activity they absolutely loved doing together was having picnics. When they could, they would take the subway and go to remote mountains where they could not only spend the day together but where they could train in peace. Their picnic days always started the same, Aizawa would leave his house earlier than everyone else, he would meet Kaori to buy a few things and then they would pick up Hizashi and Oboro. Hizashi always waited for them outside his house with the same exaggerated emotion as always. Then, the three of them had to get Oboro out of bed and push him into the shower. The boy just couldn't get up on time EVER.
The ride on the subway was quite an experience, starting with Hizashi never realizing how loud he was playing music and ending up drawing the attention of everyone around him once he started singing. Oboro behaved exactly like a little kid and kept asking how long it would take to get to their destiny. Meanwhile, Kaori was fascinated looking out the window for the first ten minutes, then she fell asleep. Aizawa was the only one who acted normally, because even though he didn't admit it, he kept an eye on everyone.
"Oboro, stop doing that, you're going to get hurt," Aizawa warned with his arms crossed and a serious look. Oboro had been rocking on his seat all the way. "Dude, are you listening to me? There's a loose screw." Of course, he wasn't listening, he was too busy hitting Hizashi with his shoulder every time he wobbled. "Oboro, you're going to..." Aizawa fell silent as he felt a light weight on his shoulder.
Fearing to move abruptly, the young hero slightly tilted his head and found Kaori's cheek resting comfortably on his shoulder. His body froze, his only reaction was his ears turning a deep red.
Once Hizashi and Oboro witnessed such a scene, they did not hide their giggling. Nevertheless, they did not dare say a word, Aizawa had only needed to give them a terrifying gaze to warn them not to even think of it.
All the way, Shota didn't move, he was trapped in the delicious scent of Kaori's hair. Her long pink hair gave off an aroma that Aizawa couldn't quite put his finger on, as it was incredibly captivating. His brain was focused to the end on deciphering such a smell and, without realizing it, he soon did nothing but enjoy that floral sweetness. Yes, that's what she smelled like, wildflowers, which, no matter how wild they were, managed to calm him down.
When the subway stopped, the sound of people getting off woke Kaori up, and realizing that had fallen asleep on Aizawa's shoulder, nearly fainted from embarrassment. The girl literally jumped up like a spring while apologizing.
"Shota, I'm so sorry! I swear I didn't notice, I didn't want to make you uncomfortable!"
"That's fine, you just slept for a couple of minutes." He answered taking their things from their seats and evading the girl's gaze.
Aizawa and Oboro looked at each other and remained silent, they knew their friend was lying just to avoid Kaori dying out of anxiety. And while Oboro help Aizawa with all the things, Kaori grabbed Hizashi’s sleeve and talked barely audible.
"Was it really just a couple of minutes?"
"You heard him!" Hizashi answered winking at her.
The only way Kaori managed to forget what had happened was when they arrived at their destination and Oboro asked her to help him with a defense technique. Hizashi and Aizawa also trained for a while, but hunger won, and they ended up sitting down to eat while their friends continued practicing.
Sniggering, Hizashi grabbed a sandwich from his friend's hand. "Hey! That was mine, you already ate yours.” Aizawa claimed.
“You had it in your hand for almost three minutes, you missed your chance. But I don't blame you, I too would rather see the girl I like than eat."
"What are you talking about?" He didn't realize it until Hizashi said it, he had been staring at Kaori for a while.
“By the way, I think it's adorable of you to go pick her up every time we go out. Who'd have thought that you were so gallant?”
"What do you mean? I just do it so I can help her to buy our groceries. You don't know how to distinguish between bread and rice, and if it were up to Oboro, we wouldn't eat anything."
"Kaori could buy them alone, or we could buy everything when we're all together..." Hizashi finished with a mischievous smile, especially when he saw the blush on his friend’s cheeks. "Bro, it's okay, chill. She's stunning; besides, I think she also likes..."
"Hold your tongue," Aizawa ordered.
"But I'm just trying to help you! Look, why don't you ask her out? I know you're shy, but..."
"Hizashi, are you listening to the STUPIDITY you're saying?"
"But..."
"Don't talk nonsense" He warned opening a jelly drink.
"Maybe if I sing a romantic song on your behalf, she..."
"Enough!"
Hizashi knew that he had managed to exhaust his friend's patience as soon as the locks of black hair stood up exposing Aizawa's menacing face. Furthermore, his canceling activated and prevented Hizashi's voice to rise. Fortunately for the blonde, Oboro and Kaori were already closing in on them, forcing Aizawa to calm himself.
"Fuck! I can't even breathe properly of how exhausted I am" Oboro exclaimed as he laid on the grass. “I swear to god you have more stamina than All Might, Kari!”
That sweet way of calling her caused Aizawa to blush even more and Kaori to laugh. It had all started a few weeks ago when Aizawa misspelled her name in their group chat. However, their friends roasted him so much that in the end, Hizashi and Oboro only referred to the girl under that name.
“You could be more resistant if you trained more instead of sleeping till late.” Kaori replied messing up his hair, every time she did that, her friend’s hair looked exactly like a cloud. However, when the girl sat next to Aizawa, she forgot about Oboro’s hair. “Shota! Your eyes are really irritated! Didn't you bring the drops? Don't worry, I have ones over here."
At that moment, nothing could make Hizashi make a sound, angering his friend again was far from his plans; yet, Oboro smiled ridiculously, as he was the first to say that he found it really cute how Kaori cared for them, especially for Aizawa. She was always watching if he slept, if he ate enough, and if his eyes didn't hurt him. Her protective nature led Kaori to always carry a bottle of eye drops in case Shota forgot his. It was crystal clear that she had a soft spot for him, the only one who did not realize it was Aizawa himself.
"Kaori, I'm fine, don't worry." He said, trying not to meet her eyes. He had avoided looking at her since they got off the train, and now more because of Hizashi's comment.
“Don't be stubborn. Come, let me do it."
"I already told you it's nothing."
"Shota!"
"Okay, okay."
"What's going on with you today? How am I gonna apply them if you're sitting down? Come here." Kaori stretched out her legs and motioned for him to rest his head on her thighs. Hizashi had never tried harder not to say something reckless like at that moment, and not only him, Oboro had to stuff his mouth with food to keep from mocking Aizawa's red ears. "Feeling better?" Kaori asked smiling at him after having applied the eye drops.
"Yes, thanks."
That day Aizawa didn't stay on her legs waiting for the burning to subside while enjoying her warm touch on his face. He was so bothered by Hizashi's words, that the guy got up again and sat in a different place, away from her. Yet, Kaori was not surprised by her friend's behavior, nor did she consider it rude, she knew that Aizawa acted exactly like a surly cat from time to time.
After a while, the four of them lay down on the grass. They were trying to get some rest from their last training. Just one week ago they needed to take the temporary license test, and it was so demanding that they were still drained.
Focused on a cloud, the group noticed how its rounded shape changed into a phallic one. Almost immediately they heard Oboro giggling.
"Why do you always have to be like this?" Hizashi asked.
“What's the point of me being able to manipulate the clouds if I don't do something funny? But since all of you are so boring, I’m gonna do something else. For Hizashi, this... ” Oboro got to make the cloud take the shape of a microphone. "For Kari... this" The cloud turned into a group of stars because everyone knew how much she liked starry nights. "And finally, for our quiet Shota, this." Oboro transformed the cloud into a cat but left one of Kaori's little stars next to the animal, something clearly intentional, not only Hizashi was rooting for their friends to be together.
“A kitten playing with a star?” Kaori asked.
"A kitten admiring a star." Oboro specified.
“If he only lifted his paw, he could reach it.” Hizashi mentioned.
Kaori was about to mention something else when a variation in the atmosphere made her jump up while warning her friends that something was wrong. "There was an explosion nearby."
"What? How do you know it?" Oboro asked starting to pick up everything quickly.
“The soil’s charged with a different energy. It was a big explosion.” She said really worried.
"Wait," Aizawa said taking her arm. “If there was an accident, we have to seek help, we can't get involved.”
"There may be wounded people."
“Let the pro heroes handle it. The U.A .hasn't even given us the provisional licenses yet. The fact that we've passed the exam doesn't authorize us to act.”
"We're too far from the city, Shota, no one's coming that fast." Oboro said.
“There has to be someone who’s actually prepared to handle this situation, we’re NOT.”
"Shota, this isn't the time to doubt, we have to work," Hizashi said.
However, Aizawa wasn't trying to stop his friends because he doubted his abilities, this time it wasn't about that. The three of them were too impulsive, they had shown it in training and classes. Even their professors had scolded them several times and made it very clear that they needed to start thinking better or they would end up hurting themselves or other victims. Fortunately, the group counted on Aizawa, for he had saved them in numerous ocassuibs from making huge mistakes during the training.
For four hero apprentices who had barely been in the academy for six months to throw themselves into a danger zone like that one would be a terrible idea. They could even represent more risks for the wounded. The U.A. teachers had told them from the beginning that if they weren't trained to do something, they must stay out of it for both the victims and themselves. Though, making them see reason was not always an easy task for Shota.
"If we want to help these people, let's seek help quickly."
"There's no time."
"Kaori!" Stopped the boy holding her with his trapping weapon. “Did you forget what happened during the license test?”
“Shota, this is different. Actual people are suffering, this isn't a drill.” She answered releasing herself from his grip.
"That's what I'm telling you! This isn't a test, we aren't in the U.A! If you guys get hurt, what will we do? We don't have Recovery Girl near us. Besides, those people need doctors, let's focus on bringing aid to them. If a bomb exploded, they probably can't ask for help, there's no way for the people in the city to know what's going on down here."
A second explosion shook the ground so hard that the guys nearly fell. Aizawa knew perfectly well that what they had to do was seek help, but it was impossible to contain the other three.
"Shit!" Aizawa exclaimed seeing that they were running in the direction of the town. His first reaction was to go after them, no way would he leave them alone, much less knowing they were capable of risking themselves as long as they could save a person.
Amid the chaos, the group did not take anything, not even their cell phones. That day there were many bad decisions made one after another, but they would only realize it later, since that would be their first encounter with danger, their first true lesson in heroism.

That Night in the Hot Springs
Chapter 3/3
Tumblr media
Pairing: Enji Todoroki x Reader
Genre: Enji Todoroki X Reader, ⚠️smut⚠️, fluff, angst, age difference, divorced Endeavor, ⚠️anime spoilers⚠️
Words: 3k
Summary: A divorced and hard-working Endeavor allows himself to lose his composure at the desire he feels for his young colleague. Yet, the flame hero did not count on the fact that what seemed to be just one wild night stand in a hot spring would lead him to fall madly in love.
A/N: This idea just kept popping up in my mind. In the end, it came out longer than expected, my bad, but if it's about Enji being soft and in love, I couldn't help but write a little more. Also, I was very excited to write about Endeavor after his wonderful character development. Why not give him a second chance?

Chapter 3– Are you ready?
“So, you're not coming back to the agency? It's been a week already." Hawks had invited you to another beer after you told him everything.
"I don't know, I think it'd be better to find another place to work."
"Gorgeous, you're not gonna like what I have to say, but I think Endeavor was right not to let you go on that mission with that guy."
"Hawks, are you fucking kidding me?"
"Listen to me." He asked putting his hand on your shoulder.
“I heard some nasty rumors about that guy. Some days ago two intern girls left the agency and Endeavor suspected they were harassed by this guy. I don't think he was just acting out of jealousy, I think he was protecting you, in his own way. I mean, if he can't even stand ME teasing you, now imagine how he'd feel knowing you were away with such a person. He's bitter and bad-tempered, and you're right, every visit to Dabi makes it worse, but the big guy has a good heart and you'd have to be an idiot not to realize that he cares so much for you that he wouldn't hesitate to give his life for you.”
"I shouldn't have talked to you." You said covering your face.
“Don't get me wrong, I'm just saying that yes, he's jealous and possessive, but this time he had a point. Although he was a jerk and he shouldn't have offended you. I imagine that it mustn't be easy for him to keep going with this relationship. I mean, his public image has never been the best, he has improved, yes... but after Dabi, it has taken him a lot of work to recover a good name. I guess people will judge him for having a relationship with someone younger and from the same agency as him."
You kept silent listening to what Hawks was saying, it was something you had thought about many times, but when you tried to talk about it with Enji, he brushed it off saying that you didn't have to worry about it.
“Also, he has to deal with all those stupid men behind you. Guys of your age and with whom everything would be easier, Endeavor projects as someone self-confident, but I don't buy it."
That talk with Hawks got you down and worried more than you needed to.

The next day, Endeavor had finished work and was looking out at the city through the windows of his office. He didn't listen a knock on the door or someone entering until he heard Hawks’ voice.
"Looking out that window isn't gonna make her come back." Said the winged hero crossing his arms.
"Get out of here!" Whirling away, Endeavor glared at his colleague; fortunately, Hawks didn't fear him; in fact, he saw Enji as his friend, so he was not affected by his countenance.
“You're famous for acting right on time, why are you taking so long in a job that concerns you and you care?”
"The other jobs have required me to act, I'm not sure this is the case." He responded by looking back out the window. “Sometimes you do more by taking a step back.”
"Pride won't get you anywhere, big boss."
"How the hell do you know so much?" To tell the truth, it didn't seem so farfetched that Hawks knew by being so close to you. "Also, it's not about the discussion, it goes beyond that."
“If you're so sure of your decision, why are you here looking out the window? End things head-on. Since when are you a person who doubts or hides?"
"I don't want to hurt her." Enji accepted. "Fuck, I tried so hard to make things right this time but..."
"And you did, I have no doubts you got it. But you need to make a decision."
Tumblr media
A couple of hours later than Endeavor used to get home, there was a knock on your door. For some reason, the hero hadn't felt free to use his keys and now you were in front of him. He looked more serious than usual, which didn't surprise you given the days had passed without speaking.
"Hi," You didn’t know how to act, you didn't know how sore he was.
"You haven't answered any of my messages or calls." He said as he closed the door behind him; despite his claim, he didn't see him upset, if not especially serious, something that didn't give you a good vibe. You knew how to deal with angry Enji, not this version he was showing you.
"I needed a little time."
“Well, I think enough time has passed. What are you gonna decide, are you still in my agency, or are you leaving?”
"That was what you wanted to know, that's why you're here." You can't help but let out a sad and ironic laugh. How could you think that he was there to talk about you two? He was right, you were a delusional girl.
"I haven't decided yet." You answer by sitting on a sofa. “But no matter what my decision is, I owe you an apology. I shouldn't have made an opinion or judged you. You're right, I'm immature and there are many things I don't know. Dabi's your son, it's logical that you continue to worry about him; after all, you're a good father, whether you believe it or not.”
“Don't apologize for that, I know why you brought it up, I was the one who didn't take it well. It's a sensitive subject. I know you didn't say it to hurt me, you were worried, but you also had the right to be upset, that hadn't been a good day and I took it out on all of you."
There was something in that apology that had you anxious. When Enji made a mistake, his apologies used to be accompanied by a caress, he would at least take your hand and pull you closer to him, but that night he just sat next to you and stared at the table in front.
“Now, although you didn't attack me, I did. I hurt you. I didn't think about it, it just left my lips."
"If it came out like that, it's because you did think like that."
"No," he said firmly. “It's not like you're thinking. I've never thought that you’re immature, your way of seeing things is something that I've always liked and it has made me feel good so many times. I don't know why I said something so different from what I think, I'm not going to excuse myself by saying that I was upset. I'm not used to sharing so much of my life with someone and you mentioning my son put me in a vulnerable spot. I'm sorry, I couldn't handle it."
“It won't happen again, I promise you. If I continue in your agency, I'll be more professional and I'll respect you, you're my boss, I have no right to claim anything from you." Endeavor shook his head negatively, that type of relationship was not something he wanted to have with you. Besides, he wasn't there exclusively to find out about your decision, he had only used that as an excuse.
“If you decide to stay and really want to go on that mission, go. I don't like that guy and I don't like seeing him around you, I won't deny it, but when I forbade you to go, it wasn't out of jealousy.”
Endeavor finally looked up and the first thing he saw was how the ruby he had given you shone on your neck, you never took it off. Later, he noticed your discouraged face, he even saw you thinner. He had arrived at your house convinced of something, or rather, he had forced himself to convince himself that you would be better off without him, but seeing you like this, added to how he truly felt, forced him to doubt everything again. Especially when you reached out and laid your head on his shoulder.
"I've missed you so much, I hate it when we argue, Enji."
"Kid, wait, I'm not done talking." Those words made you feel a cold in your body that didn't go away even by being at Endeavor's side. A few moments passed in which he sighed and for the first time, you saw him defeated. “I have thought a lot about us, and I think it's not fair for you to continue seeing me. What have I offered you so far? A secret affair? A relationship with a guy loaded with issues? You're young, the most beautiful, kind, and talented woman I've ever met. You deserve to have a normal relationship, go on dates, and not have to worry if your boyfriend comes home from jail after visiting his kid. It's not fair that you are wasting these years of your life by my side.”
You didn't lose sight of Endeavor's hands balling into fists and holding the fabric of his pants. You also didn't ignore the dark look on his face as he spoke.
"Enji, do you really want us to break up?" You asked with a lump in your throat.
"It's not about what I want, it's about what's best for you."
“You mean that if I tell you to break up, you're going to take it just like that? If I say yes, won't you care about everything we've been through all this year? Is it so easy for you to just turn the page?”
“Kid, don't make this more difficult! I'm trying to think of you and not me! It's hard enough, don't make it worse. I've been always a damn selfish man and I'm trying to change that because I truly care about you!"
“Do you actually think that the best thing for me is not to see you anymore? Enji, what do you think you mean to me?"
“Have you not seen how all the people who have lived with me have ended up? I don't want that to happen to you, I wouldn't be able to bear it if you ended up hating me."
Before the hero got up, you did, but to sit on his lap and take his face. "Enji, listen to me. I don't want someone my age, I'm not interested in going on dates either, the ones I have with you are wonderful. It worries me when you visit him because it’s so painful to see you suffer and not know how to help you, but if you would let me, I could help you. I'm not looking for what we have to go public either, but when the time comes, and if you feel comfortable too, I'll be happy to brag to everyone that Endeavor’s my boyfriend. Do you frankly want to think about me? So, stay by my side. Now, if what you want is to break up because our relationship puts a lot of pressure on you…”
"No!" He said immediately, he had even put his hands on your hips. "No, no! I don't want that, that's why it took me so long to tell you all this! How can I stop seeing you? At first, I thought that this need to be with you was because you drive me crazy, but it's not just that. I'm happy with you."
"Enji, I love you. No matter how complicated it gets, I promise I'll stay here next to you. If my staying at your agency complicates things for you, I can leave. I'd miss working with you, but I don't want to jeopardize everything you had worked for so hard."
"Kid, if I did anything right in my life, it was when I gave you my soul by welcoming you into my agency. Don't go." He begged with a sigh, totally in love with you. "And if you don't mind, we could change our plans a bit, let me take you on a date as you deserve."
"You're sure?"
"I never said that I didn't want to do it, when I tried to invite you, you said no."
“I thought you'd feel uncomfortable if people got close.”
"Fuck it, after all, I've never been a charismatic hero." He responded by making you laugh. "I love you too, kid." He finished before kissing you.

A few weeks later, you waited for your boyfriend to finish going through some cases in his office. He called you to ask your opinion about something, but as soon as you walked over to read the papers, Endeavor laughed mischievously and spanked you making you jump.
"Enji!" You said with a red face and still feeling your skin hot from such a spank.
"Let's leave those papers for the assistant, I've already worked a lot for today." Taking you in his arms, he made you giggle as he walked over to the huge sofa he had in his office, he had bought it to have a comfortable place where he could be with you.
Eager to feel your boyfriend closer, you pulled him by the neck of his costume so you could finally kiss him. You loved when you had him on top of you wearing that because you could perfectly feel every muscle in his body. Also, you knew how to make him lose his mind thanks to the fabric that his costume was made of, and you did so when you sat on top of him and began to rub your body against his. Enji spanked you again, but this time with such force that you had to bite his lip to keep from screaming. You bit him so hard that he smirked as he sensed you had broken it and a little blood was coming out.
That night you were so desperate that without expecting anything else, you started to ride him. You didn't even take off his clothes properly neither yours, you just moved what was necessary.
You two were just as passionate, just as wild to make love, which was why Endeavor tipped his head back and ordered you to continue bouncing on top of him. He let you do what you wanted for a while, but his domineering nature led him to put you on your knees and let him take control. That night he particularly became obsessed with your ass and he spanked it so many times you were sure you would have bruises for days. Even so, every time he did it you felt a tingle all over your body announcing that you were close to coming. Endeavor wanted to see your face, so he laid you back down, then positioned himself on top of you, and as soon as he saw your eyes, he smiled.
“Oh, kid, what have you done to me?” He questioned bringing his forehead closer to yours without stopping moving, not so fast anymore, but deeper than before.
For the first time while making love, you received a hero's kiss on your forehead. However, before you could even process what had happened, Endeavor used the ace up his sleeve, the trick he kept when he wanted to make you reach the highest point of pleasure. He knew you so well that he quickly took covered your mouth with his hand to drown out the cry you gave when you felt how Enji warmed his cock a little more each time until it reached the perfect temperature. You implored him to continue until you felt that incomparable heat in your entire body. There was only one thing that could do it better, and you begged him to do it with your eyes, you asked him to come inside of you and he did it.
Nothing felt better than that heat running down your legs at the same time as you saw Enji's smirk from knowing that he had caused you so much pleasure to the woman he loved. He was also drenched in sweat and never missed the opportunity to look at your legs covered by him.
"You're amazing." You whispered lying on his body and kissing his chin, lips, and cheeks.
“I had something to tell you before you started all your sexual innuendo.”
"Oh, shut up! I didn't do anything, you just called me to help, and like the pervert that you are, you didn't resist." Enji let out a guffaw that rang throughout the office. That rarely happened and you would never tire of hearing him laugh. "Well, what were you going to tell me? "You asked closing your eyes and letting yourself be pampered by the handsome flame hero.
“Would you like to go home for dinner on Friday?” It seemed strange to you that he asked you something so trivial, after all, you always ate at home and you still hadn't agreed on your official date.
"Sure, love, we can prepare something nice." You replied.
“Kid, I mean my house. I talked to the boys and, well…”
"Wait, what?" Very messy and still agitated, you straightened until you were sitting practically on his hip. “Did you tell your kids about me?!”
"Shoto was the first to react and he asked me if it was you I was dating, Fuyumi got quite excited, and Natsuo couldn't believe that you had accepted to give me a chance." He commented with a frown, but you couldn't help but laugh. “I thought it would be more complicated, but they said that after almost 15 years divorced, it was time for me to try again, although they thought it'd never happen. So what do you say, beautiful? Ready to meet them? They don't talk much, but I promise you they are good kids, and they'll treat you well."
Still in shock that Enji was ready to take such a big step, you nodded your head and showed so much excitement, that your boyfriend laughed tenderly.
“Oh! And before I forget it, we have to put one more seat, Hawks threatened to leave the agency if we didn't invite him to dinner. So, I think we'll have a full house."
You immediately hugged your hero again, unable to believe that what started as a passionate night in a hot spring had ended like that. There was still a long way to go, but both were certain that you wanted to be together.
"I love you, kid." He told you again, assuring you that you were not dreaming.
