Hi!! I'm a student learning Chinese and I really want to listen to more c-pop! I like TFBoys and a few other solo singers but I can't seem to find any other cute bands… do you have any recommendations? Thank you~ (^_^o)

Hello there! First of all, it’s great that you’re learning Chinese (so am I, haha), and that you’re getting into c-pop! I have to say, I don’t really know a lot of active cute groups, but I can give him suggestions for bands. Here it goes:

-HIT-5 (They disbanded a few years ago, but their music is really good, and all the members are cute! I especially like their song, “Scared of You.”)

-Fahrenheit aka Fei Lun Hai (same as HIT-5, but 3/4 of the members have gone solo and released some pretty rad songs themselves though i miss them so much as a group. My favourite songs from them are: Ai Dao, Xin Wo ft. SHE, Cherish Your Heartache, and Bu Hui Ai)

-SpeXial (probably the most popular, and biggest, boy band in Taiwan right now with 10 members, one currently serving military service. They’re also my all-time favourites, urgh, they’re so cute. Their songs are all catchy, and all the members are super cute! I especially like: Break it Down 11.11, Missing You, I Think I Need Some Time, and The Sweet Boys)

-Popu Lady (girl group from Taiwan that’s super cute, though the members are sort of old.. haha)

-A’N’D (another girl group from Taiwan, but they’ve only released two songs)

-Lollipop/Bang Bang Tang (they’ve disbanded and formed two separate groups: Lollipop F and JPM, and both have good music, but i think they were cuter as one whole group when they were younger with cuter music.) Their companion group is Hey Girl which also disbanded, but they’re super kawaii.

-EXO-M (I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of it, though it’s sort of falling apart at the moment, I do like hearing the original songs in Chinese. My favourites would include Miracles in December and History.) Zhang Yixing gives me life.
