Sorry about the radio silence folks, I’ve been crazy busy and haven’t had a spare moment to update my web presence! Have some little spot illustrations of mushrooms to make up for it. All edible and all found in north america- it’s an informal guess-the-species game, since I uploaded the version without captions.

"Extermina'ed? We'ww 'old on jus' a buggery blas'ed minute, now!-- " he said. As churlish as it was, and how befuddling it was to the ears, his voice held a kind of wholesome, friendly ring to it; almost. Past they layers of profanity. Despite his reputation as a liar and thief, made quiet evident by his current predicament, Sheaguur's voice rang true; Thranduil had met with him on more than one occasion as an advisor and an expert ork tracker. Which made sense, since he had the ability to sniff and smell twice as keen as an elf and could double-up as a spy. Thranduil had obviously trusted him to some degree if he was Still alive in a Mirkwood prison.

Jfc again
The FCC sided with Comcast and decided to let ISPs censor the internet. The Internet needs to stop this from happening: http://cms.fightforthefuture.org/tellfcc/
Tumblr media
Last Wednesday, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler announced a proposal for new rules that would allow for a “ fast lane” of Internet traffic for content providers who are willing (and able) to pay a fee. [1] The proposal reverses the FCC’s previous commitment to net neutrality and open internet and allows ISP’s like Comcast or Verizon to slow down and censor services that don’t pay the toll.
We have to be totally honest, this situation is seriously grim. But there is still hope. The FCC already knows that the Internet community wants net neutrality, but they think they can put their spin on these new rules and sneak them through. If we can prove them wrong right now with a massive public outcry, we can literally save the Internet once again.
We need to stop the FCC now. Big business groups are already ramping up lobbying efforts with the FCC in swarms since Wednesday’s announcement in support of censoring the open Internet and to ensure this dangerous proposal moves forward. [2]
This is a critical moment. In the last few weeks more than 65,000 people have taken action with us. Can you help us get to 80,000 by the end of the day today?

Ottoman Karabela Saber
Dated: second half of the 17th century
Culture: Turkish
Measurements: 93.3 cm overall length in scabbard
A rare type of classic form, the sword probably comes from the Ottoman Court Workshop. The hardwood grips are carved with chevrons and retained by silver-gilt rivets. The guard is made of silver and chiseled, engraved, gilded, nielloed and struck with the tugra of Sultan Mehmet IV.
The scabbard is made of wood covered in black leather and mounted en suite with the hilt. The wootz blade is of typical mid-17th century kilic form, lightly curved with pronounced backedge.
Sidenotes:
Mehmed IV Modern Turkish Mehmet (Ottoman Turkish: محمد رابع Meḥmed-i rābi‘; also known as Avcı Mehmed, Mehmed the Hunter; January 2, 1642 – January 6, 1693) was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1648 to 1687.
Taking the throne at age six, his reign was significant as he changed the nature of the Sultan’s position forever by giving up most of his executive power to his Grand Vizier.

To my followers
I'm sorry. I know i'm losing you because I've almost given up posting, and I'm sorry. I feel less and less muse as of late, and my writing has gone down the drains. I'm on my blog on my computer less and less, and I wish I could have the time to come back, but I just--...I don't know if I can. I'm sorry. Please, just hang with me while I try to get my muse back, okay?...please?..
