Feel free to tell me not to do this/make a post about not doing this, but the publisher NoMoreRobots (Hypnospace Outlaw is the one I know best from them) just put out a tweet(under the handle @/RaveOfRavendale, I only saw it because Fred Wood retweeted it who works on Deltarune.) saying they're looking for more games to sign, emphasizing Solo Developers and weird games. Even if they ignored you/turned you down before, it might of just been bad timing and worth re-emailing.

I just, really like Tynk and want it to succeed. Sorry if this is weird.

Not weird at all! Spending a year in negotiations last year burnt me out pretty bad so I'm grateful for people that share things that I'm unable to actively look for at the moment. You're not the first person to send me this tweet either - I'll reach out!

My Tumblr audience has really spoiled me. On Twitter I would always be so delicate with my wording and brand as to not anger the random people that would fly into replies. Meanwhile here I can post a cute pic on my gamedev account and get cartoon wolf va-va-voomed without anyone riotously objecting to the brief change in "content".

I'm looking for ergo/disability computer reccomendations ~

Nonstop desk work has been extremely hard on me, especially my arms! I'm trying to find ways I can work at my computer without having my arms bent, possibly also while standing.

I use a trackball mouse for mostly everything and I like it quite a lot but even with it sitting on my lap my arm is more bent than I'd like it to be. I've been considering ordering this:

But reviews are mixed and it's expensive so I want to be thorough.

To compliment that, though - I'd need something similar for macros that I could use with my left hand. The nunchuk shape would be ideal but honestly even a flat numpad shaped macro keyboard would work if the buttons were shaped in such a way that I could tell them apart without looking.

Open to any and all thoughts/suggestions! Besides telling me to be on the computer less - I try when I can but I need to make money.

Unironically I think we might run into another video game crash like back in the day

#It's been hard to say but- yeah. #Indie development is rapidly getting more expensive just because living is so expensive as it is #and on top of that there are endless layoffs that never seem to stop in the industry proper #freelance work becomes harder to get - publishers become flakier #and my favorite games that actually get to come out get stolen by sneaky publishers or undersell. #And THIS isn't even touching on the ever-growing AI presence in tech. Computer gurus promising to replace us. #The only way to plan for such a tumultuous environment is to make the most mass-appeal kind of game #...but how do you get yourself through YEARS making something soulless enough to be marketable? #All that being said I don't think a 'games crash' could or would look anything like the original. #We're seeing a lot of money bleed from the industry but that doesn't mean big studios won't run the numbers and try to crunch a hit out #Especially since so much AAA labor is outsourced anyway. #Theres so much about games thats just endless exploitation - all the way down to the gold in our computers. #It's blood and blood and blood #We might see an indie crash - but big 'Indie' studios might still survive as individuals drown. #It's hard to know. It's comforting to think 'this will surely come to a head and resolve soon' #...yet I think people have been feeling that way about capitalism itself for a long time too. #It's hard to really buy that some clean cataclysmic event will come and wash away the pain.

Does anyone have any recommendations for Godot tutorial resources that focus on structure/project organization? I think I can wrap my head around stuff like "Scenes" sometimes being Player objects etc, but it's hard to know how to organize stuff like managers, levels, etc without a lot of trial and error.

I'd really rather not follow a tutorial series that operates from first principles - I'm honestly surprised there aren't many "Godot for GMS2 developers" type tutorials. I don't have enough time to re-learn what a function is but I would like to get more familiar with Godot.
