Stop- this is hilarious
Benedict Bridgerton knows everything
Benedict Bridgerton: *catches Penelope sneaking out to the print shop*.... you know, you're not terribly good at the whole sneaking out thing. I've known for ages about your little Gossip Column. Things get boring without it, though. Penelope Featherington: You tell anyone and I will tell your mother who broke that china vase she loved so much from her mother. Benedict Bridgerton: Tell anyone that and I'll tell Colin that you're in love with him. Penelope Featherington and Benedict Bridgerton: *stare off* Penelope Featherington: A gentleman's agreement? Benedict Bridgerton: Fine. But I don't see any of them here. *shakes her hand*

If I had a nickel for every time a Bridgerton brother was called out by his future wife at a Danbury ball, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's still weird it happened twice.

Quick question: Where do you think Merlin would've ended up if he was in game of thrones? No Arthur to worry about, no laws against magic, just the most powerful sorcerer living in Westeros.

It will never not make me laugh when green stans say the show is biased to the blacks. The show is biased AGAINST the blacks. Alicent isn't a child bride in the book, they stole that plot line from Aemma. It's very unlikely Jace was a bastard in the book. Daemon didn't kill his wife in the books, that was a show runners 'interpretation'. Jace, Baela, Rhaena, and Luke were all promised as toddlers, it wasn't some last ditch effort, making it so in the show made Rhaenyra look stupid. Aegon may not have been a full blown r@pist in the book but he often fondled unwilling servants. It's implied that Alicent slept with Viserys BEFORE Aemma was dead. Alicent was married to a 28 year old at 19, and had Aegon at 20. Rhaenyra was 17 when she was forced into a marriage and carried Jace. She was a child, pregnant with another child, managing all of dragon stone, and dealing with a lot of people calling her a whore based on rumors Alicent started. Rhaenyra was 7 when Crispy Cole named her the most beautiful woman in Westeros. Rhaenyra was 14 when she 'seduced' a 38 year old Cole, A 38 YEAR OLD SHOULDN'T ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE SEDUCED BY A 14 YEAR OLD. Alicent was 9 years older than Rhaenyra in the book, and 3 years older when she had her first child. And Rhaenyra was still a much better mom, Aegon lll adored her. I'm sick of Alicent stans saying she was manipulated by Otto, I'll accept that argument for episode 1-5 Alicent, but 6-10 Alicent is an adult who could make her own choices. And she chose to destroy Rhaenyra's life. The way the show handled Luke's death also pisses me off, it was on purpose in the book. I haven't read the book in a while so if I was wrong about anything please tell me.
The show is horrible to the blacks, and I'm sick of green stans playing the victim. Before the show came out there wasn't even a team green and team black. Everyone knew the greens were horrible
Edit: Thank you, @watcherintheweyr for the comments. I totally agree with everything you said. So I changed it up a little

It's insane to me that these two people are actively losing AND gaining each other simultaneously. That's insane. This season will be the death of me.

Idk if this is an unpopular opinion but I haven't seen many people say it: Lucy Grey parallels Peeta, not Katniss. Katniss parallels Sejanus.
Okay, thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

One thing that really bugs me about the comics is no one gives Zuko a moment of peace or an inch of grace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are just some examples. I could find more if I had the time to (Sorry for the blurriness). During the promise, everyone immediately assumes (even team avatar, HIS BEST FRIENDS) he's turning into Ozai. When he simply changed his mind about something completely reasonable. I'm not going to get into the harmony restoration movement rn. And even after they 'talk to him' they don't truly hear him out. If they did the comic would've been over so much quicker. They just kept wondering if Aang should kill him or not. Their disapproval and absurd actions contributed to Zuko's mental and physical health deteriorating. He was ready to let himself die and then they all 180° and decide Zuko was right all along and they were wrong. AND THEN HE COLLAPSED INTO A FOUR DAY LONG SLEEP.
In Smoke and Shadow, Mai says so many uncalled for and really hurtful things to Zuko. Mai and her new boyfriend (guy in last image) constantly take unfair jabs and poke fun at him and he just takes it because he still loves her. And Mai sometimes seems like she's trying to make him jealous. Zuko may have hurt Mai in The Promise but he didn't deserve all that. And Zuko definitely made mistakes in Smoke and Shadow but he owned up to them and apologized for it. And in my opinion, his mistakes didn't merit the "people's feelings don't matter to him"
The comics really screwed Zuko over and I think we should talk about it.

Seeing people crap on arc two Rayla genuinely makes me sad. I don't think many people truly realize the depth of Rayla's isolation. What happened to all the characters in arc one was horrible (I am not down playing that), Callum and Ezran lost their father, and Soren lost his family, but they all had Katolis to go back to. Their home. Rayla lost EVERYTHING. She lost the assassins who she grew up with and trained her, she lost her home, and worst of all she lost her parents. She lost Runaan and Ethari in one go, only months after her parents. And all she had to remember them by was what they taught her. And they taught her self sacrifice, they taught her to do questionable things in the name of protection and the greater good. Viren threatened everything she loved which WAS Callum and Ezran, and she thought he was still alive. She was stuck in fight or flight mode, she was bathed in trauma. And she had a point in TTM, everyone was just moving on, and didn't take or let her have anytime to truly grieve. She was in such a dark place in TTM and it influenced her decisions. She knows she did something wrong, she knows she hurt Callum. She hasn't brought herself to apologize yet, but why did we stop treating her as human? (Or elf, as it were)

I'm NOT buying all this. These are rumors. "What's your source?"
"My source is, I made it tf up"
Seriously guys, stop with the "a friend of my cousins knows some guy who says..." Luke and Nic have never said anything remotely like this, they speak of Polin and this season with so much positivity. I seriously doubt Colin will be a rake, a flirt maybe, but not a rake.

I'M CRYING. MY BEAUTIFUL GIRL 🥺
Rayla's character arc throughout the series is one that grapples with her darker impulses and the lengths she's willing to go to protect those she loves. From the very beginning, we see her struggling with the weight of her assassin's training and the expectations placed upon her by her people. She's been raised to believe that killing is a necessary evil, a means to an end, and that her worth is tied to her ability to carry out her missions without hesitation.
This mindset is exemplified in her admission to hating a random boy in Chasing Shadows simply because he reminded her of Viren. It's a startling confession, one that highlights just how deeply ingrained her hatred and desire for revenge have become. She's allowed her past traumas and the wrongs committed against her people to fester, turning into a dark and consuming force that threatens to overshadow her better nature.
But Rayla's journey is also one of growth and self-discovery. As she travels with Callum and Ezran, she begins to question the beliefs she's held so dear. She starts to see the value in compassion, in understanding, and in the power of friendship. She learns that there's strength in vulnerability, in opening herself up to others and allowing herself to be supported.
However, old habits die hard, and Rayla's pride in her ability to be "strong alone" continues to be a driving force in her actions. She's so used to relying on herself, to pushing others away in the name of protecting them, that she struggles to truly let others in. This is most clearly seen in her decision to leave Callum and strike out on her own to face Viren, believing that she's the only one who can stop him and that she must do so alone.
And yet, when push comes to shove, when the lives of her friends are on the line, Rayla proves that there's no moral boundary she won't cross for them. In the end, she winds up cutting off one of Claudia's limbs, a brutal and shocking act that leaves both her and the audience reeling. It's a moment that forces Rayla to confront the darkness within herself, to come to terms with the fact that her love for her friends is so all-consuming that she's willing to do anything, even the unthinkable, to keep them safe.
It's a heavy realization, one that will undoubtedly weigh on Rayla as she moves forward. She's seen the depths of her own darkness, the lengths she's willing to go, and now she must grapple with the consequences of her actions. But it's also a testament to the strength of her love, to the unbreakable bonds she's formed with Callum, Ezran, and the others. In the end, Rayla's journey is one of learning to balance her fierce protectiveness with her own sense of morality, of finding a way to be strong for her friends without losing herself in the process.

Chill out, my friends. These are but mere rumors. And if they are true, it won't change much. It won't change Polin being endgame, it won't change their love, intimacy, or romance. Remember Nicola said this is the most romantic season. Colin and Pen will BOTH be dealing with things this season, they're the leads, they're going to have baggage to deal with. Maybe this is part of Colin's. Let us all be at peace and excited to see Polin at front and center

Penelope Featherington is so relatable as the girl who constantly gets belittled and lost in the shuffle of her older sisters and other family issues. She's so relatable as a girl who feels like even her best friend doesn't truly see her. As a girl who never felt particularly confident, but never particularly insecure. She built something of her own in a world that completely forgot about her. Penelope Featherington is for the girls who love the moon. Penelope Featherington is for the girls who get told to put themselves out there and when they do, they're told they talk too much. Penelope Featherington is for the wallflowers
She's the perfect balance of demure and fiery. This is a Penelope Anne Featherington fan account.
