After finding Bowie on the street, Jamie was grateful that the dog had a tag that not only designated the dog’s name, but also where to find his human family. It didn’t take him long to find Bowie’s house, and he was not left waiting for Bowie’s owner to come to the door. “Hi. I think I have your friend here.”

“I think sitting through any practice is boring. Why would anyone want to watch that? It’s all about the actual event, not the practice,” the brunette shook her head at the thought. “practice is mainly for those interested in the sport, wouldn’t you agree?” she couldn’t help the chuckle that escaped her lips, “no of course not. nothing comes of wasted opportunity, im a go getter.”

Savannah had a point. Practice was, in general, not the most enjoyable thing to watch. Though, to be frank, he didn’t really find watching the actual event of cheerleading all that entertaining either, though that was mostly because he was worried that someone was going to fall and break their neck. “I’d agree with that. I guess the same can be said for fixing cars.” Taron pointed out, wiping his hands off and stooping to stow the creeper away so that nobody tripped on it. “I guess there are worse things than being a go getter.”

It wasn’t very often that Savvy got outright mad, and even if she ever felt that way, it was even more rare for her to show it. “That seems like bad karma. Im not going to not help you out and then pretend I helped you out. That’s actually like double the bad karma. Can’t risk it.” The brunette was a big believer in karma. “Ok I have questions. Why has he showed you so many photos of his farm, why are you spending so much time with the janitor? How many baby goats are there? I’m not on a level like that, you have to ask!”

“I guess... but technically you are helping me out either way. But if you want to help to save your karma, four hands are better than two.” Llewellyn admitted. Thinking back on it, it was kind of odd that he knew the janitor so well. “Well, for one thing his sister is my neighbour, so we see him at neighbourhood barbeques and stuff. Plus, I spend a lot of time in the art room after hours so our paths cross that way too.”

Chase shook his head in agreement, “Teachers who are strict on participation are the worst”. He was thankful that theatre class was at least a little fun. “I mean if you miss me that much, then you have to transfer” he teased, “But those awful kids are still in there, the ones who can’t act? and are hyper sexual. It’s disgusting. They should put a vom bucket on the supplies list” Chase replied with a small laugh. “And hey, you’re out of season, so there’s always doing the play for extra credit” he added.

Huiyin nodded, crossing her arms. “Never words were never spoken. Especially in courses that you know that the students are never going to use in their lives.” She would sooner be a professor of biology than be an actress, and she was not great at biology. “Oh, god. Really? That is disgusting... maybe you should transfer into music with me instead.” Huiyin suggested, and then snorted. “Nah. You’re the only thing I miss about that class so I am definitely not gonna participate in the school play unless I end up needing the extra credit.”

you’re a strange one… olivia sniffed and looked at taron, who said that she was strange because she was worried about other people at a time like this. she swallowed and blinked, looking at taron who said he was fine and how he was more worried about her right now. “ i’m … i’m okay. i just – i mean, there’s nothing i can really do, you know? he dumped me. he didn’t want me anymore. i … i can’t hate him or be mad at him for that. i’d much rather him tell me now, than stay with me and ––  ” she shook her head and sighed, remembering how holden had cheated on her. but olivia knew that jesse wouldn’t do something like that. not after everything that had happened with devyn. taking a deep breath, olivia lifted her hands and brushed her hands against her face, brushing the tears away. “  d-d-do you wanna do something? i mean, you wanted to work on a car, right? i could help. give you the tools?  ”  

Listening, Taron took a deep breath. “This might sound a little hypocritical, coming from a guy who actively runs away from any feelings of anger, but my mom is always saying that some anger is okay, even with this kind of thing. Being hurt and mad seems like a reasonable response.” He pointed out. “I’d be worried if you took your keys to his car or something, but I think a little bit of anger is okay.” He wasn’t going to push it though, and nodded when the girl suggested that they work on the car. “Sure, we can do that. It’ll be good for you to do something to keep your mind occupied.”

“Actually I was just messing around with you” laughed the brunette as her smile grew on her face. “You have a point I think I should definitely try to learn something” nodded Roxanne as she got closer to the car “Okay, you don’t have to sell this mechanic hobby better, now I do wanna learn how you do this” she said a softly laugh fell from her lips. “As I said I’m messing around with you, that’s all but…” the blonde took the little camera out of her back and quickly took a picture of the black-haired boy. “Feel honoured that dirty face looks good in pictures” she said teasingly.

“I kind of figured you were messing with me at this point.” Taron assured the girl. He was satisfied that she had seen his point, though. A lot of people (his sister included) didn’t really care about fixing cars because they had ‘someone’ (read: Taron) to fix things for them. He had looked away for a moment, looking back just in time to see the camera flash. Blinking, Taron asked, “Are we talking dirty faces in general, or just my face?”

“I think that the people we go to school with would learn that sooner if they actually took the time to care enough to get good grades but the priorities vary from person to person.” For Vienna, her top priority was getting a college scholarship so that her mom would not have to worry about paying for her tuition every semester. She gave all her schoolwork her 110% in order to get that done. “In a way, that has something to do with knowing who your target is. I mean, for some people, badgering will be another reason why they’ll say no.” Thankfully, she hasn’t made the mistake of badgering the wrong person. That was one of the benefits of keeping to herself most of the time. “That actually does not sound impossible.”

Vienna had a good point. Badgering might not be the best method to use for the drama teachers, given how annoyed they had been whenever she had come to them with her ideas. It was like the stopped listening the momet she opened her mouth. “Okay, so in lieu of badgering, I’m thinking a well planned out proposal. Come up with the basic concepts, see what students would be interested in being involved, and maybe an estimate on cost?” She paused. “And probably some fundraising ideas, since I am pretty sure that if it costs more than $5 it’d be shut down immediately.” Grinning at Vienna, she gave the girl a thumbs up. “Thanks for this! This is a good back up plan for if they don’t give in just to shut me up.” She joked.

“I couldn’t have expressed myself better than that” admitted Roxanne with a wide smile on her lips, Chaya was definitely right, she could as her father, but she was not really sure if the principal could change something. “This way of thinking should really change, things would be way better” admitted the brunette. “Oh I would see that production” admitted the girl “If you need help with that, I do wanna help, this place needs more creative minds” assured the girl “What ideas do you have in mind?”

“It would just give us a better opportunity to develop skills that could actually help us, you know? If you want to go anywhere in life, you’ve gotta be able to adapt, come up with solutions, and stuff like that. So let us think!” It was good for drama kids, but also other students to be able to use their own ideas. “I’m glad you’d see it! I’m slowly gathering people for when I inevitably beat the system and get my dream play!” If only she could speed things up a bit. “Well, I’m thinking I’d like two plays. One musical and one non-musical play, just so that we can reach a broader interest. Also, the scripts would be vastly different.... honestly I still have to come up with a concrete game plan for that. I’d have to talk to some of the writers from the club.”

oh, oof. fighting or even arguing, with your parents is the worst. finnick furrowed his eyebrows and looked at the girl. “  i … i never said we fought. we just had a disagreement, that’s all,  ” he added quickly, not wanting the girl to think the bruise came from his dad. he took a deep breath and shook his head. “  i moved out, and dad just –– wasn’t, you know, too happy with me moving out and taking away basically his income,  ” he said and bit his bottom lip. when finnick moved out, his dad lost the money, which meant that he didn’t get his hands on alcohol as much because he barely went to work. when she said he had a banger of a day, he laughed and shrugged. “  thanks, highly doubt that but thanks. i’ll take whatever wishes of a good day i can get at this point. anyway, how about you? other than not getting what you want for the school production thingy through…?  ���

“No, but disagreements and fights tend to blur together.” Chaya shrugged. She wasn’t reading too much into it, and even if she were to try personal stuff like this was pretty much the only time when she wasn’t the nosiest person this side of noseyville. “...but your dad sounds like a dick, just saying. Sorry if that is offensive but if the reason he’s upset with you moving out is because of the income he’s got his priorities all wrong.” If she moved out, her parents would be upset that she was gone, not any money that she would take with her. “Well then, you can have all the well wishes you want.” She waved her hands at him. “This is me showering you with well wishes. Other than theatre I haven’t been up to much? School, study, theatre. Oh, I ended up watching a the Land Before Time marathon with my cousin’s kids the other day, but tht is about as exciting as my life has been.”

Having that tone was a surprise even to her but maybe that had something to do with her being a little tired of how things used to be. Strong emphasis on a little. “You have yourself a deal.”

“You would do well to remember that yourself. If you leave it to me to remember that in a high pressure situation I will probably forget.” Llewellyn pointed out, emphasizing the point that he was not one to rely on in a time crunch. He tended to fair better when it was actually something important, like someone was having a nose bleed and needed to get to the bathroom stat. He was glad that Sadie had agreed, however. “I’ll remember that you’re easy to bribe with blueberry scones.”

june stuck her tongue out at huiyin, nose scrunching up. she was feeling more at ease and like normal with the other girl. “ i don’t have to do anything. i thought you would’ve known that by now. ” another grin, and she slid into the chair across from huiyin. “ maybe you should just take up the role of tour guide instead. my teachers would thank you for pointing out all the bathrooms to me. ”

“You don’t have to,” Huiyin concured, “but you still could. Just saying. That is always an option.” She teased, turning towards the chair that Juniper had taken over. “What would that make me? The official bathroom tour guide?” Huiyin asked, raising an eyebrow. “And here I thought I was going to be a pro soccer player. I guess I finally found my true calling.”

“It really is, I wasn’t expecting finding someone here” admitted Skylar with a smile “Oh I thought the same, but I guess I’m pretty used to this, It’s been ages since I came here shopping with my mother, but it’s nice finding a good friend here” she smiled. “How is yor evening going so far?”

It seemed as though neither girl had been expecting to encounter a familar face at the mall, but that just made it even more fortuitous that they had encountered each other. “Yeah, the mall is always more fun when you aren’t alone.” Shopping on your own was fun sometimes, but usually she preferred company. “My evening was fine. I came here because everyone at home was busy and I didn’t feel like sitting up in my room all alone. What about you?”

“That’s fine, my brain rarely forgets things like that anyway.”, Vienna joked before sticking her tongue at him. Knowing her, she will definitely use what he said against him in the future just for the fun of it. “I’m not so sure about that one. I mean talking like that has done me more harm than good lately.” It was for that reason she wasn’t sure if it was really better to be brutally honest than to protect a person by lying to them. “So it’s been normal for you then, that’s good for now. I still think that you deserve to experience more than that though so while I’m not looking forward to you graduating and leaving this place, I am very excited for you.”

Grimacing, Taron shook his head. “Ah. I forgot about you and your selective memory. I’m sure I’ll regret saying that one of these days.” But today was not that day, or at least it wasn’t likely to be that day. When she mentioned that talking had gotten her into more trouble than not lately, Taron shook his head. “You say what needs to be said, and that’s what matters. Sometimes it doesn’t work out, but at least you can say you tried.” If she hadn’t said anything, she wouldn’t be able to say she tried, and that would likely feel even worse. As they continued towards the beach, Taron listened as Vienna spoke. “It’s not like I am going to mysterious vanish when I graduate.” Taron pointed out. “I’ll still be at the garage and all that, so it’s not like you’ll never see me around.”

“Hmmm…..” Casey hummed in thought and let the silence fill the space between them, acting as if he was giving the entire scenario far more thought than he actually was. “On a scale of one to ten, I’m gonna have to give it… a five…….hundred.” He answered, and just after a beat of silence, he added on “Divided by negative one!” It probably was a jerk move to play him like that, but Casey couldn’t resist. And based on the wide grin and slight laugh behind his words, it was safe to assume he was quite proud of his joke. “Seriously though it’s all good! It could be fun! We could make a whole dance party out of it!”

For a hot moment, Llewellyn was worried that he had really offended Casey. As it turned out, Casey was just messing with him and Llewellyn had to laugh. “Oh, jeez. You really had me going for a moment there!” That would have been very awkward, so he was glad that Casey seemed sincerely unbothered. “A dance party? Sure, but I warn you I’m not a very good dancer.”
