Honestly, I get this with Instagram. I know the original post is a very old one but I'm glad I haven't really had that much of an issue here. I'm always pleasantly surprised at the attention my art gets on Tumblr. Then again, having a specific niche probably helps because anytime I post art that's not related to Critical Role, it barely gets noticed for some reason so I just stick to what I know here.

Anyway, I'm already getting all over the place sorry but seriously, visibility is so hard to get nowadays and especially for artists. I know that all too well, but it's so obvious on Instagram for me. I'm not sure if it's because of the algorithm or the fact they've been pushing people to make reels but I've been struggling for years to get my art any kind of attention there and it does feel awful when you put time and effort into a piece only for it to get a handful of likes, no comments and no interaction whatsoever.

I love what I do and I like to think people may like what I have to share so I do, and I don't want to focus on numbers and attention but it does get really discouraging when your art barely gets seen because you have to be active and regular and you have to post every couple of days or you lose everything you've worked for.

Anyway, I know that wasn't exactly the point of the original post but personally, I'm glad I came to Tumblr. I keep mentioning this but the reblogs make my day. I love seeing people add their thoughts on a piece I've shared or when they just say unhinged shit that makes me laugh my ass off and lifts my mood when I'm not having a good time. I've mostly seen the positive on here and I hope to keep it that way and I hope other struggling artists out there don't give up. Find your niche and stick to it if you need to and keep doing what you love.

I think the turning point in his head was when Matt said, hey TPK - new beginnings.

But that wasn't the clever part. He is SO GOOD at taking the tools given to him for the intended purpose of kneecapping people's hearts.

His core?? We introduced that before the fucking Red Moon beam. That was WAY back before they even met Plane Rider Rin (I believe??) One of the engineers was like oh you got this dangerous thing inside you.

And the clever move was ***EVERYONE FUCKING FORGOT ABOUT IT*** including Matt. That's how you hit people where it hurts. Always have something in the tank to blindside people with. And he held this behind his teeth with every smile. He fucking knew about this last hail mary bomb trapped in his chest. And he never said a fucking word to remind everyone - to let anyone brace themselves for this decision

And when he saw half the party go down - Orym, Ashton, with only Imogen, Fearne, Laudna, and Chet on their last legs... He knew it was time. It was time. And he blindsided everyone beautifully including the DM

Because he was a little Killer Robot. That bomb didn't kill his intended target a millenia or so ago. And instead, it becomes the prayer through which he saves his family.

He has become life, bringer of change.
