"Ya took charge, but with tha' ya reaped th' benefits o' steppin up like tha'.Ya did it fer yerself jus' as much as ya did fer th' others." Sewing the seeds of self doubt and uncertainty was an ability of the former Sanbantai-taichou's that he was more that happy to use at any time. His words were spoken with such positivity that it could cause some of the most certain people to second guess themselves, whether he was right or not, it was irrelevant.

It was something that everyone tried to pull against him. It was obvious that they had no clue how his relationship with Rangiku worked. Him leaving was nothing new, he had done it for decades, centuries and she was most certainly accustomed to the occurrence. "Ran-chan's a big girl, an' she can take care o' herself." His words showed that he held little to no concern for his childhood friend. Although that was the farthest thing from the truth, it was a ruse that held the test of time, due to his undying commitment made so long ago.

" 'm I s'pposed t' watch after all o' ya? Pathetic." The sudden harshness was quickly balanced out as his pleasant but fear inducing casual tone was reintroduced into the conversation as he quickly changed the topic, with no reason for doing so it seemed. "Sa did ya find replacements fer Cap'n Aizen 'nd Tousen so quickly also~?" The silver haired serpent that Akira was dealing with at the moment was nothing short of an enigma.

“‘Took advantage of the opportunity’? Nonsense.” She crossed her arms. ”I was just taking responsibility. At first, Captain Hitsugaya was trying to keep up with all the work for our squad, and there was also, as said many times before, the trust issues, primarily in Squads 3, 5, and 9. It was too much, so I stepped up to try and get everything back to normal and running smoothly.”

"It has been tiring, yes, but it is well worth it." She cares too much about the people of her squad, she wasn’t going to sit back and watch the squad go into shambles, it was already bad as is whenever she became a captain. However, she did promise to herself that she would someday become a captain in his memory, so in a way, she could somewhat see it as taking the opportunity when offered.

She glanced over at the person a couple feet away from her. ”Not really, no.” Same old Ichimaru. “I don’t really see you feeling bad for anyone, did you even think about Rangiku’s feelings?” She had talked to the lieutenant a few times whenever taking care of errands for her squad, and in the process, she told her about her and Gin’s relationship, from ever since they were younger. Did he not feel at least a bit sad about that, could someone be truly that heartless..? ”She was about just as bad as Izuru after that.”
