hiiiiii, its totally ok to not like something, and to say your opinion, but i feel inclined to respond as this fic is one of the most realistic approaches to drarry/'good’ draco ive read in my opinion.

- i dont think any of the characters are particularly out of character, draco being yes different from, one, knowledge of the future, azkaban, and then years of reliving his earlier teen years. hermione is like, so in character, harry is a bit ooc but that is to be expected as huge parts or his personlity werent devolped until late years, shortly after the events of the mirror. harry still has his key characteristics, and acts like harry, as does everyone.

- draco knew before insinuating he was dating theo that it was really harry, sorry that you misread this and it led to a negitave immpression

-lucius being abusive is a writers choice and i can totally understand why you may not like this, but narcissas stand point in the situation is, from my perspective, pretty in character

- i am past the 2nd book where you seem to have left off, so im abut confused with your opinion on severus, but it is clear in canon that even with draco being a smaller character and not hearing his inner dialogue, he looks up to him, so its character according to canon standards. plus, while severus isnt perfect the choices he makes are in favor of dracos wellbeing, not manipulation.

- the 'bashing’ of the slytherin house is from dracos perspecrive, while he has acquaintances in slytherin and doesnt hate the whole house. the author states at the beggining of many chapters that the bashing is from dracos sometimes narrow perspective

i personaly think this is one of the best written, and most realistic draco fics ive read so im biased, and if you see this and choose to respond i hope uou know im just sharing my opnion on your thouhts and not trying to attack you or tell you to read it or change your opinion.

Negative Fanfic review:

Draco Malfoy and the Mirror of Ecidyrue

I wanted to make a review of this Fanfic because I don't understand why people like it so much. It was really bad.

So I wanted to start by saying the fanfic should have been tagged with torture, because that is what happened to Draco in the very beginning.

By the second part of the Fanfic Draco acts like a pick me for gryffindors, affirming throughout the fanfic that he is not evil even though his gryffindor friends act really shity towards him. This is so out of character for Draco.

He excuse himself and try to convince his "friends" (the golden trio) that he didn't do the evil thing even though they have no evidence it was Draco or a reason that didn't involve him being a Malfoy. To a point where Potter affirm he must have doing the evil thing unconsciously because he is a Malfoy. Then blaming Draco for not telling them everything he does when they have proven over and over not being trustworthy.

Potter behavior being always creepy following him everywhere 'just to spend more time with him' when he is actually spying to find proof he is the one doing evil. Would actually make sense because of the canon. Then Potter transformed into Theo (who he thinks is Draco dating) and on Draco's bed he tries to make Draco admit he is behind the attacks, if Draco didn't realize it was Harry and he did dated Theo the situation easily could have ended up really bad (Draco being SA)

The bashing of the whole Slytherin house portraying them all evil and so out of character; stupid, with not self respect etc.

Severus Snape being emotionally abusive towards Draco and on top of that, Draco adoring him, looking up to him and trusting him even after all that. Is also out of character.

Narcisa being a useless and neglectful mother, letting Lucius beating Draco up. Also out of character for the both of them.

I'm not saying that a Fanfic is not allowed to be bad, but I can't understand how this Fanfic is so famous, and everyone who recommended it is afirming it's really good, when in reality it's not.

The story lacks good description of feeling and logic, everyone except Ron is so out of character. Also there wasn't actual Fluff/Angst, just misunderstanding and really just blaming everything on Draco just because, the golden trio being abusive towards Draco while pretending to be his friend.

I think maybe because it was such a long Fanfic people automatically think is good, I have notice in the ao3 community how much they value word counting. Word counting dosen't really make a Fanfic good quality.

I was really disappointed on it, I wanted to post my opinion in the comment section of the Fanfic on ao3 but I know how sensitive authors can be to negative comments so I'm doing it here.
