For me being aromantic is like there’s an extra color that I can’t see. Like I can see red and blue and all the other colors but there’s this extra color that everyone else can see but I can’t. But no one can explain it because it’s just like a color, how can you explain a color? Like try describing yellow without using other colors, it’s impossible to explain to someone who hasn’t experienced that color what it’s like. And I can’t like imagine a whole new color in my head so it’s like what the heck is everyone talking about? And I can enjoy art with that color in it but when I try to think of the actual color I can’t comprehend it.

I guess what I’m saying is it’s kind of a non experience? like there’s no feeling to it but the world around me creates the experience of being aromantic, I think that’s why it’s so hard to figure out if ur aro because when ur gay or bi or whatever there’s like something going on inside u for you to figure out but the whole experience of being aromantic is just kind of just like your reaction to the world around u almost

Hearing the word aromantic being said on a show as major as heartstopper is so important to me, like that was actually such a monumental moment for us Aros because pretty much all of our rep in mainstream media is word of god or just heavily implied and it just means so much to me
