"Will you come visit us this weekend, carrot?"

I giggled softly at my grandmother's nickname for me. But my smile did faded.

"I'm sorry, Nana. I can't. I have a looot of work to do, but I promise you, I'll visit you guys next christmas, okay?"

"Okay. Talk to Aubrey, and bring her with you, will ya? I missed that girl."

"I don't know if I can do that, Nana."

"Why not? You two were inseparable when you were just new to Barden."

"I wouldn't say inseparable.."

"But you two were real close. Maybe even too close."

"Nana!" Chloe laughed.

"Oh, come on. I know love when I see one."

"But I completely blew her off.."

"I'm sure you two can work things out. That's why, talk to her."

"Fine..I'll try."

"Promise me?"

"Yes, Nana. I promise."

It had just been week after Chloe's call with her Nana and she was losing it. I should've visit them.

She just had a call from her grandpa that her grandma has just passed away that night. Chloe didn't even get to tell her Nana that she loved her in person.

Chloe started to calm down hours later. She looked down and saw her paperworks wet from her tears. Shit.

She still couldn't believe that her grandmother was gone. But she remembered the promise she made with her Nana. The two wasn't really talking often, Aubrey probably thinks that Chloe was with Beca. But she wasn't. Chloe was just to embarrassed and scared to tell the real reason why she stayed and didn't graduate.

"You did it!" I squealed, hugging my bestfriend tightly. "I'm so proud of you."

Aubrey smiled widely. "I did it..I did it, Chloe!"

"Yes, you did." I chuckled.

"So, will you. Just one more year, and we can be together!"

My smile faded. I wish, Aubrey. But I can't. "I mean, live life as adults." Aubrey said quickly. Almost as if she had panicked from saying something bad.

"I won't be graduating just yet, Bree."

"What? Why?"

I went silent. I can't tell her. She'll think I'm a coward.

"Is this about, Beca?"

I quickly looked up in surprise. 'No, Aubrey. It's not.' is what I want to say. But no words are coming out of my mouth. She pursed her lips, and nodded.

"I didn't actually think you had feelings for her..even though it was obvious." she laughed. But I could see sorrow in her emerald green eyes.

No, Aubrey. I want you. I want to be with you. Please don't be sad. I love you.

"Yeah." I laughed with her nervously. I'm sorry, Aubrey. But I'm not ready to face the world like how you do. I'm sorry.

"It's fine. It's your choice..goodluck, to you and Beca." she said quietly.

"Thanks."

I avoided looking into those green eyes of hers. I can't. Not after I probably hurt her.

"Right..I better get packing."

"I should've told her the truth..I regretted not telling you how I really felt.."

Chloe turned as she heard a knock on her door.

Aubrey made it to her new and probably forever home, since she's only got a few years to live. She place her bags down and sighs.

All of sudden, Chloe popped up from her mind.

Aubrey become upset when she replayed her last memory of Chloe, when she were graduating.

"You did it!!" Chloe squeals, hugging her best friend tightly. "I'm so proud of you."

I smiled widely. "I did it..I did it, Chloe!"

"Yes, you did." she chuckles.

"So, will you. Just one more year, and we can be together!"

Chloe's smile faded. My heart drop. Oh no, did I just confess? "I..I mean, live life as adults.." I quickly recovered.

"I won't be graduating just yet, Bree."

"What? Why?"

She stayed silent.

"Is this about, Beca?"

Chloe quickly looked up in surprise. But no word was coming out of her mouth yet. I purse my lips, and nodded, understanding.

"I didn't actually thought you had feelings for her..even though it was obvious." I laughed, trying to hold it together.

"Yeah.." Chloe laughed with me nervously.

"It's fine. It's your choice..goodluck, to you and Beca."

"Thanks." Though she doesn't seem to fond about it.

I watch her as she fidget in her place.

"Right..I better get packing."

Aubrey hated that she hadn't said goodbye to Chloe that night. She had already left while the redhead was sleeping.

"I regretted not saying how I felt about you. How much I love you."

But how could she? Chloe obviously loves Beca, and Aubrey clearly doesn't have a chance with her at all. But Aubrey would lie if that didn't hurt her. Chloe was always there for her. Aubrey really had spend her Barden years, thinking that Chloe was the one for her. She was wrong.

An unexpected call brought Aubrey back to her senses. She quickly answered without checking the call id.

"Aubrey Posen?"

"Still the same, Aubrey."
