It was late at night. All lights were off and everyone was asleep. Except for you and Taeyong. You two have been having a day of fun. Although you two were dating neither of you said the L word yet. It was something that was very hard for Taeyong to say because of his rough nature. Being in the mafia meant you couldn’t trust anyone and if you did you either trusted them very slightly or very much. There was no in between. He also didn’t want to make you uncomfortable if you weren’t ready to say the three words yet. You guys had just left the arcade after a full day and went to the 24 hour milkshake stan. Taeyong bought you both milkshakes and you were quick to thank him. He grabbed your hand and dragged you to a table for you guys to sit at comfortably. As he spoke about how stressed he has been, you looked deep into his eyes. You saw past his hard shell exterior and into his heart. His true warm-blooded heart. Taeyong has just a cold vibe to him because of his job but you know him. The real him. Your heart sped up so much you thought you were coming down with a fever. That’s when the realization hit you. You loved him.

“Taeyong..” You whispered almost inaudible.

So you ran to Ten and he put movies on while holding you tight. As the movie continued on your heart and head realized this was the moment. This is the time to say what you truly feel.

You were apart of a group that was known mostly for your members good looks. Especially you! Boys all over were fanboying over you saying you might be the most perfect idol to ever lay foot on this Earth. This was kind of a pro and a con for Taeyong as being your boyfriend. The pro would be obviously that he was dating such a beautiful being in which he loved. The con was he wasn’t the only one who loved you.

When both of your groups were scheduled to be on the same show on the same day he was super excited. Until his manager was notified that there would be another boy group also attending. And you guys had never released you were in a loving relationship. So once the male idol in the rookie boy group confessed his love for you on the show, Taeyong would have to swallow his pride and anger for the relationship. Other NCT members would occasionally look at him to see if was okay. But no one could really tell.

Doyoung-

Doyoung was currently mcing in place of another show host who fell ill. Although he only got to be a host for 10 episodes, he always hoped that your group would be one to appear. Luck was only with him half the way. Yes, you did come on the show he was currently hosting for. But, with another boy group that wasn’t NCT who didn’t know about your relationship.

Everything was going steady until the main dancer of the boy group confessed that his ideal type was a girl like you. Doyoung wasn’t very pleased with his statement at all. However, he managed to pull through it all with professionalism. He even took notice in how much the male tried to get closer to you. After the show he’d take you some place secret and just ask for some reassurance. Just because you two settle things doesn’t mean he isn’t going to give that boy the stank eye for the rest of eternity.

Jaehyun-

Honestly, when you guys started dating the first thing you guys did was tell the public. The heat could die down earlier. So a month after the news broke, everything was back to the normal schedule. And variety shows even tried to get your two groups together on one episode to see the ship sail. One show was specifically remembered by both Jaehyun, his members, and the fans. It was the show where nct, your group, and another newly debuted boy group were invited.

Whilst the show went on, the host asked the visual of the other boy group if he had an idol right now he had a crush on. And without a stutter he answered you. Everyone was shocked and looked straight at Jaehyun waiting for his response. Surprisingly it didn’t make him mad. It made him a bit awkward though. As his response he just said that he felt the same exact way, making everyone laugh.

Winwin-

Poor little baby. Nct and your group were scheduled to go on a show together but sadly your group had to cancel due to a lot of the members falling very ill. So they replaced your group with a rookie boy group. Sicheng (winwin) was sad to say the least. He was really looking forward to spending time with you but it’s okay. He would get to text you later on about how much fun he had with his members.

Everything was all happy and free willed until the hosts decided to start asking personal question about the idols. The first question caught the rookie boy group off guard. They didn’t know how to reply so they wouldn’t get stuck in any scandals so early on in their career. However, the main dancer of the group confidently admitted all the members really like Y/N, aka you, and saw you as the perfect ideal type/girlfriend/boyfriend! Sicheng became uneasy when everyone started to look at him and he just ended up laughing it off. In reality when he gets home he is gonna need major reassurance.

Unlike the others, Jungwoo was more than likely watching tv. He was just scrolling through the same channels he sees everyday. But one program caught his eye in particular, a variety show to be specific. He recognized the boy group on there because he heard about their big debut that just happened. Jungwoo sat back and relaxed while watching the show for “studying purposes”.

The show was hilarious to him at first and seeing the boys make mistakes he used to make as a rookie made him feel a lot more valuable as a kpop idol. One of the MCs decided to ask everyone what idol they saw most fit to be their ideal girlfriend/boyfriend. In unison they all yelled Y/N extremely loudly. This caused Jungwoo to get mad but not to the point it was overbearing. He just motioned for you to come over to him. When you did he’d make you sit on his lap for reassurance.

Lucas-

Today was a day Lucas was very excited about. You were finally coming over to the dorms! He had prepared everything perfectly for your arrival. Of course before anything happened he wanted to introduce you to his well beloved members. They are like family to him so he didn’t worry (and didn’t want to) about one of them trying to steal you from him.

The second you came over the male members were all over you (in a friendly way). Lucas wasn’t too happy with this but he saw the joy on your face and it was enough to help him cope with his anger. However, when the members started practically yelling that you were their ideal type he was just plain out shook. Of course it didn’t worry him still cause’ you both loved each other to a never ending extent. Still he would suggest that you two go somewhere else for a date.

Mark-

All the groups were currently attending the SMA’s but the show had not start yet. A lot of the idols met up and discussed things. As for Mark he sat you on his lap and hugged you because the whole world knew you two have been dating for one year and are still going on strong. Since Mark likes making new friends, especially idol ones, he turned around and joined in the convo his members and the boys of another group were having.

Coincidentally, the second he joined they were talking about ideal types. He started to listen in as the leader and visual of the group proceeded to admit you are his ideal type in everyway. When you heard your name you turned around and all the boys were looking at you, so you became a bit awkward. To lighten the mood a bit, mark and you ended up joking about it the whole time. But that doesn’t hide the fact that Mark was a bit livid about the member being so blunt despite not only him but YOU being right in front of him. He doesn’t let it bother him too much though and just carries on with their conversation.

Renjun-

Knetz found out awfully quickly about your relationship with one another. Although they like to reach sometimes and make up crazy rumours, this one they actually guessed correctly. The hate was immense but nothing swayed you. And if it didn’t alter you, it didn’t alter him. Point blank. You two were more than happy to openly express your relationship 24/7 and all of the host seemed to love it. At this point, it was almost impossible to not know the legendary ship. No other idol tried anything with you after news spurred around the k-pop industry. So, it was a complete shock to everyone, not only Renjun, when a rookie male idol openly expressed his love for you and your group.

At first, it didn’t shake him and he kept his head high because you told him it was nothing. It wasn’t until all the k-pop profiles about his group labeled you as his ideal type that he got pretty mad. He never wanted to express his jealousy because he never wanted you to view him as the “overly-protective boyfriend”. And he for sure doesn’t want that title either. But what kind of girlfriend would you be if you can’t tell when he is feeling insecure. It may have taken an hour or so of you bugging for him to actually break open to you. It made you chuckle at how cute he was, soon making him realize how childish he was really acting the whole time. It all ended in good terms as you reassured him there wasn’t any man who could compete with him. That doesn’t mean Renjun would forget this when he finally meets him in real life though.

“Can’t he get his own girlfriend though?” Renjun thought in his mind.

Jeno-

Jeno wasn’t TOO big on the public knowing about your relationship with him. It wasn’t that he was embarrassed by you or anything; it was just he didn’t want you to get hate. He knew the kpop industry was a tough one especially when it comes to dating. So, the news coming to his managers wouldn’t have been a thing to look forward to. Much to his surprise, they said it was okay. All you had to do was stay away from public sight at all times. Especially since nct 2018, your girl group, and another boy group were about to go on a variety the next day. Jeno thought that it would be the easiest thing ever. And he convinced you to just do the same. Then, you and him came to an agreement to only tell the other members.

On the day of recording, everything was going well and everyone seemed to be getting along. Until the hosts decided to start asking questions that were way too impulsive for anyone’s liking. But as an idol, you aren’t really allowed to speak up for yourself. It just boiled his blood though. To hear another boy say something about you in a not so friendly light. It all just made him feel insecure about your relationship with him. He wasn’t good enough, was he? He couldn’t be that bold if they were to ask him that. The endless train of thoughs crowded his mind. It wasn’t until you all were dismissed from set that he really depicted his insecurities. In all honesty, he’d probably make you comfort him in front of everyone, so that the other idol knows he can back off.

Haechan- 

News about you two dating hit the web like wildfire. Everyone and their moms knew about the relationship you two were in. Countless shipping videos surfaced the internet as well as burning hate. But none had stopped you two from going on strong. Just to show this, you guys appeared on numerous variety shows together like Men On a Mission, weekly idol, ASC, running man, etc. However, on one episode of running man that you both appeared on that was especially remembered by most of your fans. On this episode another boy group had appeared on it. Behind the scenes you could obviously tell something was a little off. Boy was Haechan mad when you expressed your feelings about the members and their behavior. 

The anger Haechan felt at that moment was nothing compared to how he felt when the male idol admitted to you being their ‘ideal type’. Once he heard those words his anger couldn’t be controlled. He knew you were on TV and all, but why would someone confess to you when your BOYFRIEND is right next to you? 

“Yah! Go find your own girlfriend” Haechan confronted him while trying to have a low and threatening voice.

Everyone just laughed though and the editors put the fire around him to make the viewers know this wasn’t ‘real’. Unlike everyone who took as comedy, Haechan just kept staring him down more angry than before because they thought he was kidding. When you guys have your breaks during shooting Haechan was extra careful on how much you two speak to one another.

Jaemin-

Jaemin was know to be popular among girls for his godly visuals. So when you both told his manager about you two, they ruled it best to keep it away from the public as long as possible. But you disagreed saying that the hate will only build up for the time they’ve kept from them. After seeing your point, they agreed to make you relationship official. Hate died down pretty quick compared to other relationships in kpop. It went from demanding for you two to break up to demanding you two go on more shows together. You did exactly that and gave quality content to the shippers. Anyone who didn’t know about the “Jaemin x Y/N” ship was living under a rock at this point. So, when a male idol had very bluntly explained his love for you on a show that not only nct was on but also your group, Jaemin was shook. People do know not to touch his girl, right? Or was he just not intimidating enough?

All of the members of NCT and your group glanced back and forth between you and Jaemin. You felt a bit awkward because of the unwanted looks, but it would’ve been worse if you didn’t say anything back. With confidence in your voice you simply said thank you, however your ideal type was 100% Jaemin. Everyone in the room turned into a mess after Jaemin picked up his microphone and said you are his ideal type too. Jaemin was way too proud and he felt secure in this relationship. His trust in you would sky rocket through space after this unfortunate event. He’d never worry about something so silly ever again.

“I love you Y/N”

Chenle-

Chenle was sitting on his bed at nighttime when he found himself having trouble sleeping. He was just going to read a book until he felt sleepy, but he got a text message from Renjun, who was in the hotel room next to his. He had sent him a link to an article. Chenle prefers to stay away from gossip articles and just mind his own business. This time was an exception though. Your name was in the title of the article. At first, he’d thought you got yourself into some lousy controversy. However, when he read into it, he realized that some other boy group member had an immense crush on you. Chenle trusted you more than he could put into words so, he just brushed it off his shoulder. And magically he was able to go to sleep after.

The next morning, Chenle was greeted with some unpleasant messages on his phone. The incident that happened last night was being covered everywhere. A controversy sparked then and everyone was hating on you. Chenle felt like beating that guy up for putting you in a controversy and making you get all the heat from. Despite you not even doing anything, the hate was immense. Chenle mad at him from both jealousy and plain anger for hurting you. The media didn’t know of you two dating which made Chenle feel confined. He didn’t like that another guy was all googly eyes with you. So, he calls you up to see how you are doing. When you answer, he tells you about how much he loves you and makes you promise him to never leave him for that other dude. This whole situation didn’t affect you. You knew you didn’t do anything and all you needed was Chenle’s love and trust to get by. After the call ended, Chenle knew that it was about time you two became public.

“Y/N~ don’t leave me, okay? And don’t listen to what those uncultured swines are saying about you. I still love you!”

Jisung-

You and Jisung rarely had interractions when it came to the “idol life”. Today was a definite rarity to say the least. Everyone knew about you two and it was just a moment of shock for their fans. After awhile they become used to Jisung X Y/N and demanded more content on you two. So, SM prepared a special collab performance of your group and NCT. It was all a dream to Jisung at first, but then he heard a boy group member talking as soon as he got off stage.

“Wow, we did great! I hope Y/N saw it; she’s so cool and pretty. She’s my type.” The boy group yelled practically not realizing you and Jisung right next to him.

A face of disgust crawled onto Jisung’s face making the other members go into a state of adoration for him. You could obviously see that Jisung was jealous and the other members did too. You tried your best to cheer him up by pinching his cheeks, only to get the same face from before. Jisung really wanted to confront him, but he thought it’d be childish to do so. Especially since it was just a simple crush. However, if that boy group member even tries to lay a finger on you or hit you up, Jisung wouldn’t be afraid to openly express his relationship with you more frequently on shows. This is his attempt to make him back down from pursuing you in anyway. He doesn’t want to confront him face to face or anything though because he’d be too in shock and shy to even know what to say.

The performance went great. The fans loved every second of it. The energy you and Jisung gave off was enough to cheer up everyone in the crowd. And if you ask them what part was most memorable, they’ll say the ending. Why? Because Jisung kissed you on the cheek making everyone melt at the kdrama like moment.

“Just stay. It won’t be that bad, come on! The other members wouldn’t mind, I wouldn’t mind, you’re the only one who thinks it’s a problem. Pleaseeee.” San pleaded in front of you in attempt to persuade you to sleep over the dorms. 

“San, I understand. I just don’t want to seem rude. Just coming through the door as if I live there myself.” you say in response, genuinely worried about the situation. 

“Then make a deal with me, okay? If you stay over tonight and it goes badly, you don’t have to ever come back. However, if it goes well, you have to sleep over again.” 

“Is that deal valid? I don’t think that adds up? But, I mean, what’s the worst that could happen, right?”

“Yes, very correct. Just think about it for a second, logically. What IS the worse thing that could happen?”

“I could answer that far better than you’d expect me to.”

You playfully huffed and walked away from San. However, he wasn’t going to let you walk away so easily. San grabbed your wrist and pulled your body into his embrace. Tightly, yet softly, clingy onto your waist and laying his head in your neck. 

“Y/N, I love you so much. I just want to be able to spend as much time with you as I possibly can. Please for me, just stay the night, hm?” San’s words left a deep mark on you. 

His words were coded with genuine love and he knew that was your biggest weakness. You couldn’t stop your heart from beating faster; picking up speed every second he had you in his arms. 

“Fine. Only because you’re too cute when you do that.”

You entered San’s room in the dorms after showering. He had given you his hoodie to wear to sleep and you paired it off with shorts. As you walked in, you saw San on his bed looking at his phone. The opening of the door causing him to depart his eyes from the glowing screen to focus on you, only you. Seeing you in his hoodie made him smile from ear to ear. 

“Wah! You look amazing, Y/N. You truly are soooooooo cute! My heart can’t take it.” San practically yelled it, making you close the door behind you so the other members don’t hear.

“Shhh. The other members will hear you.”

“So? I’m not ashamed of you. Matter of a fact, I’d like to show you off as much as possible. You’re perfect and you’re mine. Y/N IS A CUTIEEEE!!!” San was screaming at this point and trying to make it known.

“S A N. SHHH. What if they’re trying to sleep?” 

“Your point?”

“I-”

“Exactly. Now, if you excuse me. I LOVE Y/N SOOOOOO MUCH.”

His loudness caused you to rush over to his bed and sit besides him. You put your hand over his mouth to stop him.

“San, you’re being entirely too loud. What can I do to make you stop?” You asked not really knowing what to expect.

“I’ll stop only if you give me hugs and kisses, no deal otherwise.”

“Hugs and kisses?”

“Yes, you heard correctly.”

You rolled your eyes at how cheesy he was being all because you were staying over for the first time and he wanted you to come again. But, you obeyed his conditions and circumstances by giving him lots of kisses and hugs.

“Whenever you’re in my arms, the rest of the world just... disappears. I know it may sound cliché and I never understood why couples said those type of things. But when I am with you, I’ve finally felt what they have and I can proudly agree because I love you, Y/N.” San gently picked every word even if he already knew it wasn’t enough to express his true love for you. 

You found yourself smiling brighter than the sun. The way he spoke to you made your heart run a marathon. He was being so cuddly and cheesy all of a sudden and your heart couldn’t handle it, at all. Maybe it wasn’t as “sudden” as you may think it to be. After Ateez’s debut, San’s been incredibly busy with is schedules. He’s in and out of the practice room and traveling places like no one’s business. You’d be lying if you claimed it didn’t hurt only being able to see him through a screen. However, you never brought it up nor talked about it with him because you knew he was living his dream and was the happiest he could be. All you could ever want was for San to be happy, even if it meant you weren’t. 

“San, you really have a way with words, don’t cha think? Ugh, really got my heart beating fast, for what? Huh? What was the reason to make me all giddy and happy?” You replied while resting your head on his chest. 

“I did it because you’re cute when you’re happy. And I love it when you blush.” 

Your eyes met his. An immediate feeling sparked in between you two. Almost as if he read your mind and feelings, San began apologizing. 

“Y/N, I’m so sorry. For not being here for you as often as I believe I should and I’ve been working so hard lately. It makes it seem like you’re my second priority, which isn’t true at all. You’re the inspiration that gets me through my rough days and you deserve way more than what I’m giving you.” San’s hold around you became tighter as he wanted to eliminate any space between. You two had already been separated for too long, in his opinion.

“San, I love you so much. Because of that, I understand for right now its going to be like this and it’ll make us stronger if we pull through it. Please don’t stay thinking about this very long.”

“Y/N, you’re too perfect! Ugh, my heart is running in circles because of you. Thank you for staying the night with me.”

“Anything for you.”

Barely Surviving

A/N: I love Junkyu and I’ll try my best with this. This unedited because I’m trying to be as fast as possible with these requests. The next story is San from Ateez f l u f f, which I am done mostly just need to finish the ending. Then finally, the exo pt. 2 reaction and maybe nct bet reaction. OkAy let’s get into it wOo!

It had been two days since you and Junkyu last spoke. That’s how you expected it to be, if you were being honest. The last time you conversed with each other, Junkyu visibly expressed his jealously when you hung out with one of the other YG male trainees. At first, you thought he was playing and started laughing slightly. Your reaction made Junkyu even more angry because he knew you weren’t taking him seriously. 

At some point, it came to your realization that he wasn’t. He was actually mad at you. Junkyu getting extremely jealous was nothing new, to say the least. You’d just let him express his anger and release it this time. Hearing all his words about how the relationship wouldn’t last because of these situations tore you apart. An idea emerged in your mind, not one you wanted to act upon but rather one that needed to happen. You broke up with him. Simply stated, you told him that clearly you both needed some time to yourselves. Some time to rethink what you wanted. Some time to figure out who you both really were. Some time to just take a breath and relax. 

The sound of it terrified you as this could be the last time you two talk to each other. Of course, in the heat of the moment, Junkyu quickly agreed. Originally, it hurt how fast he answered you and how sure he was about it. But, you realized everything that was happening at that moment was for one reason or another. You hated the fact this could be the end of you two because you loved him and it would be a struggle to forget him.

After practice, Junkyu’s members began noticing his change in demeanor. Usually, Junkyu would crack jokes and talk energetically to them after practice. Today was different, completely different. Junkyu sat on the cold floor of the practice room as the members laughed with each other. He just stared blankly at the ceiling, clearing in deep thought about something they don’t know of.

“Junkyu, you okay?” Yedam asked as he sat next to him on the ground. 

“yeah, I guess so. I just think I messed up.” Junkyu let out a heavy sigh as his thoughts trailed off once again. 

“Well, what did you do? I’m sure you can fix it.” Hyunsuk claimed as he took another sip of his water.

“Y/N and I broke up...” Junkyu’s voice was so low it was almost inaudible. 

Everyone in the room gasped. You and Junkyu had been dating for as long as they can remember. Of course, that’s an exaggeration but they always though you two were going to love each other forever. The sudden break up shocked them to say the least. 

“Seriously?! What happened?” Hyunsuk joined Yedam on the ground next tp Junkyu. 

“It’s my fault. I made it seem like I didn’t trust Y/N when I got jealous. We got into a fight because of it. Then she suggested we “take a break” to get some fresh air and I agreed. I A G R E E D! Even though I didn’t want to and we haven’t spoke for two days.” 

“Ah, so that’s why you haven’t been eating well these past two days?” Hyunsuk questions and the other members added on.

“And why you locked yourself in the room?”

“And why you cried out of nowhere yesterday?”

“And ignored us when we asked about Y/N”

“And refused to watch anything even slightly romantic?”

“Okay! I get. Yes, this is the reason why I’ve been acting “weird” lately. And it’s eating me up alive to say the least.” Junkyu sat up from his laying position and looked at the concerned looks around the room.

It finally hit Junkyu then. He loves you too too much to have you leave him like that. He needs you in his life because you are the one for him; he must learn to be able to trust you if believes that to be true. Immediately, he said goodbye and ran out the practice room, leaving the boys smiling rooting for their favorite koala.

You looked through your phone. Reminiscing the old memories you and Junkyu shared. The good ones, the fun ones, the weird ones, and even the bad ones. It may not seem reasonable to some but to you, the bad ones brought you two closer together. That you must thank them for. The last bad one didn’t do that at all and you were well aware of that. 

Maybe it was for the best? You’d think to yourself and bad thoughts followed one after the other about your unfortunate situation. 

Suddenly, you heard a loud knock on the door. The sound of it terrified you, especially because it was 10pm and no sane person would come around at this time. You stared at the door in fear, arguing with your conscious on whether or not you should open it. 

“Y/N, it’s me. Junkyu. I know you’re probably still mad at me and I understand. Just please let me in.” 

Your heart began racing at the mere thought of that of him. Slowly, you walked to the door and opened it. The moment your eyes met his, you felt the rest of the world just go away. You were about to tell him something, but he pulled you into his arms before you could say a word. 

“Y/N, I love you so much. I don’t want a break. I don’t want to break up. I don’t want to leave you. I don’t want you to feel as if I don’t trust you. I don’t want-” 

“Okay Junkyu! I get it. I’m glad you finally came around. I’m sorry if I put you through any pain.”

“So, does this mean you’re mine again?”

“Junkyu there is no again...”

“oh...”

“There’s no again because I was always yours, even on a break. My heart always yearned for you.”

“HEY, you scared me. And that’s my job. Y’know to say cheesy things to express love. sToP cOpYiNg Me.”

“Alright alright. Junkyu, I love you so much you don’t understand.”

“I do understand because I love you more.”
