20 years ago, on this day the first volume of Durarara!! (デュラララ!!) was released in Japan. This volume contains the Dollars/Mika Harima arc, which is the start and readers' first meeting with such a well written plot, complex characters and artsy language.

Happy 20th anniversary to Durarara!! It will be forever my favorite media; no book, anime or manga can come close to the place that Durarara!! has in my heart. It will remain as a unique and one of a kind work, not only to me but to many other readers as well.

i just finished kuramerukagari and I LOVED every second of it i have so so so many thoughts i am just going crazy rn i can't believe it. iseya was so great i also did not know when eiwajima entered the movie but for some i reason i felt it minutes before and watched the whole scene chanting eiwajima

ALSO I LOVED KAGARI AND YUYA. kagari is such a lovely child and i loved her seeing her, yuya SHOULD GIVE HIS GENDER TO ME.

and iseya was talking iseyamese for the whole movie. i could open any volume of durarara and find similiar or exact words he is using which is like. totally expected of course i am not suprised this is narita and izaya after all but still seeing it firsthand made me scream more because !!!!!!!!

and shizaya/eiwaseya IS SO REAL. i was laughing at "they fucked at that library omg" before I watched it but WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT SEXUAL TENSION BETWEEN THEM IN THAT SCENE. the air was so thick that I COULD FEEL IR FROM THE SCREEN THESE BITCHES GAAAY GOOD FOR THEM GOOD FOR THEM

i waited one whole. fucking. week for this and you know what. it was worth it. IT WAS SO WOOORTH THE WAITING I AM SO GLAD I WATCHED IT.

i already had comic plans but now oh boy my autism is so strong i could draw until my hand aches and i cannot draw anymore. autism

I have a confession to make: I didn’t (pre-)plan anything jumping into this, I had an idea from Izaya’s quote and didn’t think I would need to write dialogue until I drew the bubble. If it stopped making sense after 5 sentences or less, it’s because it did stop making sense.
