Shinsuke may have never shown interest in the pursuit of romance; but, Aran was sure that if he ever did decide to try his luck on the sea of possible partners, then the old fox had the potential to catch absolutely anything, simply because there was no fear holding him back.

Be it a humble Sardine, a timid Giant Oarfish, or a 7 meters long Great White Shark from far away waters, any eligible bachelor this ocean holds is within the realms of possibility for the brave little fox!

It’s just that… Aran had never thought motherfucking Godzilla would be among the options…

There are a few different versions of mechagodzilla. One of them is called Kiryu (from 2002 and 2003). Of course, I couldn’t let such an opportunity slip by in my monsterverse AU. But unfortunately, Godzilla and friends were quite smaller at that time. Be strong, Wakatsu-san.

After the failed battle against his arch-nemesis, Ushijira, Grand King Oikawah went to his friend Iwa Kong to let out some steam. (I know that Godzilla is usually associated with Iwa-chan, but I think that him as King Kong works very well too. Because, if Iwa-chan was Godzilla, that would be it. But if he was Kong, then he could be friends with Godzilla. ) (Also, Oikawa as King Ghidorah makes a very fun character to draw.) (Very fun.)

Dungeon Meshi x Beastars AU, panel redraws.

Chilchuck as a red fox.

Reasoning: small species (compared to the rest of the main cast, at the very least), but among the tallest fox species (Chilchuck is a tall half-foot), fairly big ears, fur coloration similar to his hair (+ small joke with the “silver fox” expression, as he’s the oldest in the party. Even if he isn’t an actual silver fox here). Red foxes tend to have a reputation of being thieves, while also being incredibly smart, cunning and agile. Real foxes know how to break into hen pens, after all. Unlocking chests and disarming traps is only a short leap from there. Some old texts depicted them as smooth talkers too. I guess that doesn’t fit Chilchuck completely, but hey! He tends to drip with sarcasm whenever he opens his mouth, so I’d say it’s close enough.

I think most half-foots would fit as different fox species or mustelids. I can see Mickbell as a fennec fox, and Dandan as an bat-eared fox, or an American mink for a little bit of diversity (+ it draws a parallel between fur-farms and half-foots being considered as expendable by adventuring parties).

Dungeon Meshi, but animals. Featuring Lios' (heh) party.

Laios is a lion, because I think it fits, as I said on my previous post.

Marcille is a deer (fallow?) because of how delicate they look, and the ears.

Senshi is a (american) badger, because they're good diggers and tanky little fellas.

And Chilchuk is a Gambian pouched rat, because they can be trained to sniff out land mines, and safely, since they're too light to trigger them.

Oh, yeah, and Izutsumi is a girl cat. (I initially didn't plan to have her here, but since she'll be appearing soon, I decided to add her. The thing is, I'm not sure she would resist pouncing on Chilchuk, so it might be better to let her nap while they walk.)

Ah, and while thinking about what they could be talking about, I remembered the onion soup I just ate, and when I tried to think about a monster that could be like an onion, I could just think about ogres... (because, as you might remember, they have layers. Like an onion)

But, since an ogre like Shrek would be a demihuman, I imagined the monster in question as a kind of swamp golem or something...

The Touden Siblings, but lions.

Episode 12 was adorable.

I know Laios would rather be a wolf, but... Laios the Lion. I think it fits.

***Spoilers***

Because of his father, though, he thinks lions are lame, particularly male ones and their stupid impractical manes. So he still wishes he was a wolf.

The only problem of him being a lion is... what would be of the Winged Lion? Would Laios just be disappointed it was a lion like him? Would having wings be enough to make it cool? Or would the Winged Lion be just a Winged Dude in turn? I think all options are fun.

Sousou no Kita-san

When I read Sousou no Frieren, I couldn't help thinking Frieren kind of reminded me of Kita-san. Heiter's height then reminded me of Oomimi. So I guess that meant Aran was Himmel and Akagi was Eisen. Now Kita-san is Suna (Fern) and Gin's (Stark) babysitter. And although they have no counterpart in the original story, I think the twins could join too as self-proclaimed pupils of Aran-kun.
