Spooky season is here and so I’ve finally finished this! This started with Resus and then I wanted to do Luke, and after that I couldn’t leave Cleo out! and then Luella was needed to balance things out.

So I saw this on tumblr and thought the idea would fit my character Ayson really well! Those on my patreon discord have seen this character before, along with the other characters from his world. This took me maybe 8-12 hours to make, and it's only like 6 frames, but boy is animation hard. Someone else could probably be more finicky about the timing and have the stamina to add actual shading, but not me!

Oh look another Star wars oc, sorry not sorry.

This time my self-insert has taken on the form of a vampire. I've been musing about Vampires in Star Wars for a long time now and kept running into the issue of them being critically underpowered in a galaxy far far away. I mean, Lightsabers are semi-magic blades of pure light so those would be pretty effective weapons against a vamp, there are planets with multiple suns for these creatures of the night to worry about, you gotta think about if they could drink alien blood or not, and most of their powers (supernatural speed, strength, mind control, etc...) are shared by force users. A vampire would have a really rough time of it in Star Wars I think. And then I got the idea to put a vampire in Beskar. This solves the sunlight and lightsaber issue, which were the big ones for me. It we add a resistance to fire/lava, a mist form, and leave out weaknesses like arithmomania and needing an invite, and make it so that they can drink blood from any mammal, then I think a vampire mandalorian bounty hunter could be a real threat.

I'm real happy with the design on the chest piece, I wanted to give the impression of blood spilling/splattered down the front and I think I accomplished it. (Also drawing sci-fi guns is still hard af.)

Turns out my second character in the HTTYD rp discord is gonna be Hiccup! And being the Extra (tm) bastard that I am, I had to draw my version of him. I wanted to make a theoretical look for him that would exist between Race to the Edge and HTTYD2, I threw in some of my own flair too of course with the blue shirt and earing. I'm happy and excited to get to play my boy Hiccup!

A lovely new patron of mine invited me to join her HTTYD RP discord server. This is the character I made! Both of these images were kind of a rush job and I stayed up later than I should have making them. Despite that, I still enjoy how these turned out.

There were quite a few characters that had shadow powers on the server, so I ended up going with lightning powers for myself. I added an attempt at lichtenberg scars bc I thought it'd bee cool. (I made them more like stylized lightning bc drawing fractals by hand while keeping in a mind a curved surface would be a bit too time consuming...) I especially like how the shading on the dragon form turned out! It's close to conveying what I usually intend for their scales to look like.

Patrons will get to see speedpaints of how I made both of these images!

Redesigned my spidersona! Not that there was anything wrong with the old one. I just realized that there was nothing stopping me from giving them a nightfury hood. The background of the faux comic cover kinda killed me tho... I really like how both the design and the cover came out! Those on my patreon discord saw just how many tries it took to get a design I liked.
