hello there! theres been some talk in the tags about the psd thats being used and was wondering if you plan on finding an alternative psd in the future? :)

hello! i’m not sure as to where in the tags that talk about the psd, but i’m assuming that this has something to do with our whitewashing psd. i tried fixing that before my photoshop expired and it worked on one picture, apparently not for the others. we really do want to solve this issue, but apparently it’s difficult because we use the same psd and i simply couldn’t find any other psd’s that have similar tone to complement the theme. so yes, definitely we’ll be changing the psd when we settle on a new theme, possibly going for black and white instead. sorry for the inconvenience caused, but unfortunately as i don’t have photoshop the psd might remain the same for the time being.

WELCOME TO XAVIER’S, KIM JIHOON !

BACKGROUND.

i. the frozen march battered by grey skies and harsh snowstorms, finally pulls back as he takes his first breath. his mother likes to tease him, telling him that his first smile carried with it their first taste of sunshine in months.

ii. his parents are opposites, two halves of the same coin. his mother is soft, as gentle as in the incoming tide. his father, a brash and loud military man, as pulsing as the thunderstorm he carries beneath his skin. they are a family of fishermen, spanning back generations and it’s evident early on that he’s too delicate, too fragile for the toils the sea demands of him.

the sea lives in his blood, and so he learns to adapt as best as he can. summer months are spent fighting back seasickness brought on by the tossing and turning of the boat at the mercy of the waves. he learns to hold his breath and fight against the curling of his stomach when standing by this mother in their stall at the fish market.

iii. the kim siblings are a year and a handful of months apart in age. but he, and everyone else, notices very early on the distinct differences between. his brother is younger but he’s clearly been blessed by lady luck, and everything he touches shines bright and golden. he’s the apple of his father’s eye and jihoon can’t help but to be filled with jealousy. for everything that jihoon fails at, his brother excels; the ridge between them growing ever wider. his mother tries her best to quell the arguments, to soothe hurt feelings and bruises. but his father, he encourages it, insists that sibling rivalry will make them stronger in the end.

but while jihoon loves his family, loves his brother, it does nothing but sews the seeds of contempt deeper inside of him.

iv. and because as fate would have it, nothing is ever as simple as it seems. for as hard as he works to try and live up to his family’s expectations, struggling not to collapse under the weight of the world on his shoulders, life and fate throws him a curveball.

in the summer of his 13th year after an intense argument with his father, while struggling to remember to breathe he catches the sight of blue sparks of pure electricity dancing along the small slopes of his fingers. he panics, fighting to stop whatever is happening to him, his voice catching in his throat as he shakes his hands and fights not to scream. with a chest tight with something and too quick of a movement, and the energy is moving up and out, frying electronics in his room and shutting down the power for the entire house.

jihoon learns quickly to play dumb, to keep whatever this is a secret.

v. but secrets never last forever. at 16, jihoon buckles under the weight of the future and worries of disappointing his father. for as perfect as his brother is, jihoon is far from it. his mother quietly worries from the sidelines, asks him to give up in only so many words, but never steps in to defend her sons against her husband. and whatever lies they’ve been playing at with their happy family routine are ruined in the span of a night.

it happens on a saturday night. his parents pack up and head to his grandparents for the weekend. he spends the night alone in the house with his younger brother, making sure to avoid pushing each other’s buttons. but what should have been an easy choice in what to have for dinner, ends up in a screaming match, a brawl right there on the kitchen floor. and jihoon, upset and not thinking, loses control for just a second. face red with anger and tears of frustration, he feels his brother’s fist collide with the skin of his back and he lets go, sparks emanating from him, shocking his brother, and colliding with the surrounding appliances. it happens in an instance, his brother drops the grip he had on his shirt, his hair and suddenly the house is flickering. something somewhere, old and ancient buzzes and shortly bursts into flames.

vi. jihoon remembers the look of fear on his brother’s face. he remembers the confusion among the firefighters and neighbors. he remembers huddling beneath blankets with his brother on the front lawn, waiting in the dark for their parents to arrive. he remembers the look of fury in his father’s body language as he slams the car door, the anger clear cut across his face. he remembers the words ‘killer’ and ‘monster’ savagely falling from the lips of his parents, terrified at the person they thought was their son. jihoon remembers his father ushering his younger away into the safety of the car and his mother shoving her wallet at him in her flurry to follow after them.

vii. 17 and homeless, jihoon struggles to provide for himself on the harsh streets of seoul. he meets a thousand strangers, some sympathetic to the hungry looking boy with the small frame, but most avoid his eyes, avoiding coming into contact with him. and then there are those that he finds, just like him but different.

there’s a whispering of a place out there, for people like him. and jihoon feels like he can finally breathe for the first time in forever.

MUTATION.

it is the ability to create, shape, and manipulate electricity from the movement of charged particles. it comes to life in the form of energy released primarily through his hands, using his limbs to as a conduit to create or re-direct pre-existing electricity.

STRENGTHS.

jihoon is able to charge objects with a brush of his fingers, leaving them charged with little volts of energy, heated, or to act as a conductor for more electricity.

with a quick flick of his wrists, jihoon is able to physically expel the electricity through the form of a blue bolts toward his intended targets. allowing him to deliver a rather nasty shock to enemies or to be used to physically pull and move objects towards him at short ranges.

jihoon is also able to generate small bursts of electricity from his hand to propel himself forward small distances. he typically only uses this ability in pursuit of targets and in areas with large expanses of space.

WEAKNESSES.

water is especially deadly for jihoon. the more water, the less control of his ability he has, leaving everyone including himself susceptible to being shocked. and if he’s the one who is soaked, it shorts him out leaving him completely unable to use his ability at all.

objects that he touches to pass on his electricity must be made of certain materials such as metal or small bodies of water, which he can only use to move electricity through.

storms are particularly lethal for jihoon. he attracts lightning and one bolt with more volts of electricity than he can handle and it could potentially blow him up from the inside out.

jihoon must be in peak physical condition to generate any type of electricity. if he’s sick, tired, or injured, he won’t be able to produce even the tiniest of sparks.

jihoon’s ability demands a lot of energy when used. because of this, he’s only able to generate so much before he’s left drained and in those instances, he’s prone to fainting.

although jihoon can produce electricity from his own body, it only reaches a small distance of 152 centimeters, anything past that will be unaffected by his range of limitations.

BACKGROUND.

he starts small, unwanted, dirty. he comes into this world under one family name, and in mere hours is passed into another. from a mother’s arms to another’s. his new family doesn’t have a face, he just remembers them as the seconds, those who came after his unfit mother.

he grows up with hazy faces. sometimes he looks up and there’s a woman with brown hair and a mole to the left of her eye. sometimes he looks up and it’s a man, with a stern set mouth and wrinkles that age his face. and sometimes it’s no one at all, just the empty ceiling of another orphanage.

it’s an endless cycle that ages as he grows. by family 9 he is worn, a child who only craves love. a home. a family. his wish never comes true, and so he grows restless. angry. bitter. he screams more, throwing himself across the floor. he steals from his “mother”s purses and takes his father’s watches and sells them at school.

eventually the families that tour the orphanage catch on. he’s wild, jagged, and no family longs for the son that will rebel. he spends more time in the orphanage. he gets good at picking locks, picking pockets. a

yihan is fifteen now, and he’s gotten skilled. he knows how to not get caught ( and even more importantly, what to do and who to sucker if he does ), when his last family finally happens upon him. they’re young but well off, a good family the orphan mother says, as she steers them across the line of good boys ( and away from yihan entirely ).

and despite the orphanage’s best efforts, the woman meets eyes with yihan and she becomes smitten. and by the end of the day, he sits in their car as they pull away from the only place he came close to calling a home.

the first few months are rough. they’re a korean couple, briefly living within china, who don’t speak mandarin well by any means. they’re kind, giving him all he asks for in toys and clothes, but they are demanding. they force him into lessons, teaching him through tutors how to speak korean and english, coercing him into daily piano lessons, lecturing him how to sit and speak and eat like a man of power and money. they take their hands and gently start to mold him into something else.

he hates them for it. resents them. he hides from his lessons and tutors. he burns his texts and his notes. he relentlessly fights them for it, waiting for the day they send him flying back to the orphanage, like every other before them.

but they don’t.

instead he is met with a mother’s kind words, and a father’s concerned gaze. when he hides, they seek him out. and when he refuses to meet them, they leave his plate at the table, awaiting for the day he joins them. and after months of fighting, months of distrust and hatred — he finds himself one evening, sitting at the table with them.

he eats with them at that table for every meal. they are his good morning, his good night. he slowly eases into his lessons. and he grows, becomes a handsome and charming fellow. he never forgets when he’s come from. but he becomes happy under the warmth of his new family.

that is, until she happens across his life.

he’s nineteen now when his family uproots them back to korea, taking yihan with them. they move to seoul, he enrolls in university, and soon starts his classes. her name is eun hae, she’s pretty with red lipstick. she sits in the back of class, headphones peeking from between the threads of her hair, a bored glaze over her face as she dazes away from the lecture.

he likes her instantly. she’s pretty, and when they meet eyes she always smiles wide for him.

it starts so well. they go from strangers gazing, to friends laughing, and then to lovers, mouths locked and hands twined together. they fit well, despite his mother’s unnatural dislike towards this girl. she calls her “wrong”, says she doesn’t suit her son. yihan ignores it.

they’re several months in when she reveals her nature — a thief. like the life he once held. she shows him, takes him to a boutique and impresses him with how quick her fingers slip several pairs of shimmering earrings into her sleeve and makes it out the door.

the act of it thrills him to the core. and soon he’s back where he once was, a young man with deft fingers and an eye for the things that glimmer. and soon with it, comes his twenty second year. and his powers manifestation.

he remembers their heist. eun hae aims for something more. and so they find themselves at a bank. staring down a locked vault. his hands are burning, he doesn’t understand why, they’ve been aching so badly lately. it isn’t until the police lights flash on them and his panic sets in that the wires untangled themselves from under his skin. they fly out, shredding holes into his knuckles and wrapping around a beam that sits across the building. he, in his panic, grabs hold of eun hae, and the two of them are pulled away from the police lights and into the safety of the shadows.

they escape, thanks to his powers. and eun hae is thrilled, and she’s in love with him. so in love with him,  she takes him by the mouth and kisses him fiercely through her laughter.

their heists become more frequent, his parents unaware and ignorant and his girlfriend glistening with her infatuation. his powers get stronger, he gets better. he feels unstoppable.

several years this carries on. now he’s twenty five, living in his own luxury with eun hae. and they’re on another heist. this time, though, it goes wrong. and the wires under his skin cannot save him this time.

and by the time the police barge into them, eun hae is already gone, only the faint smell of her perfume remaining.

the police arrest him, take him under their hold, while eun hae makes off with yihan’s goods and his pride.

he spends two years there — rotting in a cell before his father finally intervenes. he slides a wad of bills under the table of the police commissioner and the judges for his trial. he’s found innocent, and he’s released.

his father promises to never mention it to his mother, they swear to keep it a secret until the day they die — but he wants yihan to find help. he then motions yihan to the agent from xaiver’s.

and yihan, with nothing left,  agrees.

MUTATION.

yihan is able to create wires from his own body, and then manipulate said wires into different movements, as if limbs, or lengths.

STRENGTHS.

WIRE CREATION— yihan’s body produces a layer of muscle like tissue that function as a source for his wires, made of spring steel ( piano wire ) under his skin. he is able to use said muscles to “unthread” and send out wire of varying lengths  from between his knuckles, wrists, and toes/ankles.

BINDING — he may also control his wires as they exit, allowing them to group up or bunch, and make for a target. should they land, he may wrap them around his target, binding them and, if squeezing tight enough, cutting them.

WIRE CONTROL — this allows yihan to control his wire like muscle, sending as much as he requires in length out of his body, and also choosing where the wire comes from on his body. once exiting the body, the wire still holds a muscle quality, allowing yihan to manipulate it into grabbing hold of things, twisting, knotting, lifting or falling ( and so on ).  

WEAKNESSES.

yihan can only produce up to 100 feet TOTAL of wire in one use. ( example: if he’s shooting wire from from his hands and each knuckle he can only shoot up to 10 feet worth of wire from each knuckle for a total of 100 feet )

his “muscles” made of wire must be exercised like normal muscles through use, if not then the wire could jam when being sent out and would have to be surgically removed, or just not produce at all.

his wire is produced as one guage or thickness, he cannot change it. he may only produce 14 gauge wire ( 1.63mm in thickness )

his wire exits through his joints and skin, so it causes him pain in order to release and causes bleeding. he has scars from the points of exit.

once the wire exits his body, he cannot “reel” it back in. it needs to be cut off or seperated from or it will simply hang off him until removed.

yihan can only control wire produced from HIS body and muscle mass. he cannot control the force of wires that do not come from his body

once severed from his body, yihan will lose control of his wire and thus allowing it to go limp.

the wire, in its material and thickness, can cut people and cause harm and, if not thoroughly controlled, may cause damage to yihan, or those around him, if he loses focus, control, or becomes distracted. this could lead to the wire either going limp or losing control and whipping as it pleases ( like a muscle spasm ).

BACKGROUND.

As the guy who has the ability to make people feel really happy and joyful, Seok Jowoon can be a right sour puss. It’s rare that he ever smiles and even when he does he will instantly stop if anyone even notices. He is almost a man who has never found joy in the world and simply likes being in his own bubble of passive aggressive grumpiness.

Of course, he wasn’t always this way.

He was born a healthy baby to a new couple who were beyond joyed to bring their first child into the world. When he was little, Jowoon was the light of his parent’s lives and they always said what a happy and giggly baby he always was. A stark difference to the man he became. He was a good child with soft smiles and kind words, wide eyes filled with imagination and intrigue about the large world around him.

When the curious and happy boy was four years old, his parents gave birth again, this time to a beautiful baby girl. They had always wanted a daughter and Jowoon was quick to become the second favourite child. While he loved his little sister and wanted to be a good brother, it irked him how his parents didn’t seem to pay as much attention to him any more. It was noticeable how they preferred to play with his sister rather than him and when he was in middle school he started to act out. Getting into trouble with the teachers, getting into fights with other classmates, drinking behind the school building and hanging out with the wrong crowd. The smile vanishing from his face and the grumpiness and anger always spilling out.

Then he hit high school age and things went from bad to worse. That’s when things started to change and he found out he was a mutant. At first he had thought the weird dust which was always in his hair was some weird form of dandruff. It was always in all his clothes and on his pillow when he woke up in the morning and he got constantly yelled at by his parents for almost trailing it everywhere. And then he transformed for the first time during a heated argument with his father about his grades. The world started getting bigger as he suddenly started to shrink, getting lost in his own clothes. With the pointed ears (more than usual) and the wings and the sudden glow it was not hard to work out what he was.

Finding out you were a mutant wasn’t exactly an easy thing to live with and it was awful hard to hide it from everyone when he accidentally triggered a transformation at school right in the middle of his gym class. Soon after he was kicked out of school, they didn’t want anything to do with a mutant, and his parents kicked him out of the house not long after that at only seventeen years old.

Jowoon spent the next ten years hopping jobs and hopping cities as well, just drifting around being a pain to everyone he ever encountered. He eventually settled down just for long enough to find out about this school for mutants and they were even willing to offer him a place come January. So Jowoon decided yo just go with it, see what happened, but he certainly wasn’t promising he would be a better student than he was in high school.

MUTATION.

The power to use the abilities of faeries while in a ‘faery form’ which consists of shrinking to a height of about 8 inches tall, growing a pair of wings and having slightly more pointed ears than usual.

STRENGTHS.

Has the ability of flight in faery form thanks to a set a fairy wings which grow out of his back which also give him enhanced speed, agility and dexterity and he’s easily capable of out speeding a regular human while in flight.

While in faery form, Jowoon has a aura which is capable of filling a target with complete joy and happiness. His aura is always active while he is in faery form and can be seen by others as a white glow around his body

Jowoon can generate and manipulate fairy dust. While the dust has no effect on himself, he has been told that when consumed by humans it gives them a rather euphoric feeling and has effects similar to taking LSD’s. He’s also found out it has small healing properties such as healing minor cuts.

WEAKNESSES.

While Jowoon shrinks while in faery form, his clothes and other personal items do not, meaning that he always has a carry around a set a custom dolls clothes to change into every single time.

He has almost no control over when he changes form at the moment. It tends to happen while his emotions are running high or he gets suddenly surprised. In the past, even a rough sneeze has been enough to trigger a transformation.

Even when in human form he is constantly generating fairy dust, meaning that places he’s just been is usually covered with the stuff and it’s always falling out of his hair every time he ruffles it up or moves it.

While in human form he possesses none of the enhanced aspects he does in his faery form and is just as fast and agile as any average person

Humans cannot understand him while in faery form and anything he says just sounds to anyone else is high pitched tinkling noises. The only way he can communicate with others is with sign language.

Being 8 inches tall does has its downsides. He does not keep his human strength and can very easily be killed or seriously injured by someone just standing on him, almost like a bug. He is not invulnerable in this form and is very fragile and easy to injure. He has to simply rely on his speed and agility to get out of dangerous situations as he has no chance in a physical fight.

are there contingency plans for muses that are considered dangerous/hazardous if they were to run rampant, and if so what would they be?

hello, i hope you don’t mind my answering this publicly since it’s a good question and there might be people who possibly would like to know the answer as well! there are such plans, as the school in a sense houses hazardous mutants with full knowledge of what they’re getting into, and by that proxy they also have measures to prevent injuries, and most especially, the knowledge about mutants when it comes to non-mutants. to start with, lowest level measures would be through knowledge erasure, reality warping, and memory manipulation, including telepathy. there are doctors in charge too when it comes to the damage. to add to the measures when it comes to the dangerous mutants themselves, there are underground chambers under the school that are only accessible by school personnels. hope this answers!

BACKGROUND.

jiwon was a hopeful, with the dream of becoming a model. always. it was the only thing she wanted to be and it was her goal in life. it was all going to plan, paying off, hard work and dedication, she was getting to place. small shows, photo shoots around the city, she was becoming more and more popular as the months went by. young star, as her parents would say, but it became evident that she was more than your regular girl. she was awfully good at multiple things, every single day something new would be her talent; singing, dancing, painting, athletics. it wasn’t hard to figure out she wasn’t ordinary, and that things were going to get hard for the park family.

yet, her parents decided to ignore it. the things she would do and the abilities she would adapt. they would ignore it as much as they could, because they wanted a normal family. and it lasted for a few years, until jiwon’s parents figured out she hadn’t even recognized the fact that she had such abilities, let alone be able to control them. its was worrisome, and the park didn’t really know what to do. there were numerous relatives that gave their input for what to do, ideas, exile, send her to her grandparents. it all reached jiwon’s ears eventually, and it was heartbreaking even if she didn’t say anything. it wasn’t long before she stopped being talkative, stopped initiating any sort of physical contact because she was scared something wrong could happen. she changed, for the better or the worst, no more bubbly and cheerful, she was constantly on edge about everything. physical contact seemed like a taboo in her eyes and she strayed from it.

it didn’t help that eventually, she gave up on modeling, the idea long forgotten, and she focused on her studies. her parents never said anything. it didn’t surprise her or their relatives. she had put on a mask, cold, aggressive, distant mask to protect herself from everyone and anyone around her. she didn’t want to be hurt just as much as she didn’t want to hurt others.

but everything has its limits, and jiwon found herself being recruited into xavier’s school for the gifted, or more widely known as hangang academy. it was hell to say the least, for her. so many new faces, so many requirements and she was one of the few idiots who couldn’t control her powers. she hated them, hated being able to do anything and everything as long as another mutant touched her. she felt like an outsider because she didn’t have her own power. she could only copy others, use their abilities, be like them. she had lived in her own little world, this was a whole new level of trying to settle in.

jiwon was nothing more than a copycat in a world of individuals. the strong facade and cold character only became more prominent as she stepped inside the academy walls. she never felt gifted, she felt cursed. she felt alone. she felt she had to prove herself in some way, but she didn’t know how.

MUTATION.

the user is able to mimic and replicate the powers of others around oneself. the powers are strictly physical or psychic as it simply mimics the psychic energy outputs, genetic structure or superhuman physiology that enable abilities in other people.

STRENGTHS.

the user is able to copy non mutant powers as well, such as if the person they have come in contact with is good at archery, the user of power replication will be able to acquire those skills as well.

can copy any ability as long as physical contact has been established. This happens when the user places their hand or grabs someone, the contact is more than enough for the use to replicate their ability.

the more times a certain power has been copied by the user, the better they become at it. If e.g. water manipulation is something the user regularly copies from its original user, the better they become at controlling it.  

WEAKNESSES.

despite the powers being replicated from other opponents, the powers will still have every single limitation that the abilities would possibly possess, e.g. fore manipulation will still be weak against water manipulation.

the user is unable to steal powers, just replicate them.

there has to have been a physical contact between the two users in order for the powers to be replicated.

is able to copy a limited amount of powers at a time, which is one. This power will be used until the time limit has been reached.

some copied abilities might be painful to use or be able to replicate, and those abilities can not be of opposite natures e.g. wound transferal, teleportation, other abilities that require a change of physique.

there is a time limit to how long the user can use the replicated ability, which is usually twenty four hours.

the user isn’t always able to use/control the powers they have acquired. 

the powers replicated will overwrite each other once physical contact with another mutant has encountered. Sometimes, this happens without the user noticing.

WELCOME TO XAVIER’S, BANG HYUNWOO !

… loading statistics. currently aged twenty-five, entering first semester of xavier’s in seoul, south korea. decrypting files… mutant has the following records: strength +2, durability+6, agility +3, dexterity +10, intelligence +4. currently, he is classified under tier omega.

BACKGROUND.

it was a weird power, or ability, or thing as hyunwoo had grown to call it. it all just began with him being clumsy, with all the bruises, random cuts and scratches he managed to get. his mother brushed it off, there was no reason to worry, he was an active child, always out playing, running, falling over. everyone thought it was normal. however, with every mutant, things eventually got out of control, and it was just what happened to hyunwoo.

it was during a pe lesson, while playing basketball, one of his classmates twisted their ankle, or so they were insisting, and naturally, hyunwoo went to help them up, only to end up with an extremely sharp pain in his own right leg. a few hours later, both him and his friend in the hospital, hyunwoo was diagnosed with a broken ankle, torn and crushed ligaments, and his friend: good as new, no problem. that was when things started becoming more worrisome in bang family.

simply said it made hyunwoo curious about why that happened to him, so maybe he did cut himself on the kitchen knife and grabbed his mothers hand and the cut on his finger, along with the pain was transferred onto his mum’s own finger. he did get a beating that night. the labels of monster and freak were quickly thrown at him by his parents, and he just lived with it. how could their own son be a mutant?

hyunwoo didn’t know why, didn’t care. he was what he is even if people were skeptical. it was the main reason why he controlled his ability, why in the beginning he stayed away from everyone, just becoming a loner. there were rumors floating in his highschool, followed by university. it made hyunwoo laugh every now and then. people thinking he was an actual criminal, actually killing people on a daily basis, setting fires, threatening classmates and teachers.

he would never. no matter what, hyunwoo just wanted to be left alone and just go on with his life. maybe move to a different city, country even, start fresh, pretend this was never a thing. being able to move would of people left and right wasnt a thing. was it too much of a dream? maybe, maybe hyunwoo wouldn’t get a happy ending. he never thought he did.

but even with his shy and soft nature, he did find himself a little place, called xavier’s school of the gifted. there was a place even for him after so many years, that he could genuinely call home.

MUTATION.

the user can shift damage between individuals, regardless of whether it is physical, mental, spiritual or supernatural

STRENGTHS.

can transfer any type of damage, regardless of nature, onto themselves or someone else. By touching a person, who has some sort of injury, e.g. twisted ankle, the user is able to transfer that injury to themselves or someone else they touch. Things like the common flue, migraines, chronic pain, can also be transferred onto another body.

transfers all discomfort, pain and other relative issues as well. The pain from the injury, e.g. twisted ankle, will be transferred to the desired person as well. 

doesn’t need to have physical contact in order to use the ability. If the user is trained enough, they will be able to use the ability through just being at a certain distance away from the person they want to relieve from their injury.

WEAKNESSES.

if distressed, the user may absorb the wounds of everyone around them regardless if they want to or not. Under severe pressure and stress, the user is not able to control which injuries he transfers onto themselves. This could cause lead to death if e.g. they’re in battlefield and lose control, just transferring multiple, possibly fatal wounds, to themselves.

may transfer the wounds and pain onto themselves or someone else; if the subject is already dead, the user can die trying to resurrect the person.

can not reverse death.

if the wounds are too severe, the person who ends up having the wounds transferred onto them might die. It all comes down to the durability and pain tolerance of the person, because everyone handles pain differently.

does not heal wounds, only transfers them onto another body.

in stressful situations it takes focus and can often drain the user. If the uses has been using this ability for long periods of time, they will become tired and be unable to use it or end up transferring unwanted damage to themselves due to the lack of control.

can not transfer wounds beyond current medical knowledge, e.g. lost limbs, damaged nerves can only be transferred to a certain extend. The user can not replace limbs by would transferal.
