Monologue in the Rain

Hey hey! So, today I'm sharing a collective colourisation of the panels in Spy × Family manga chapter 30 (I've been studying this chapter a lot!). The weather and mood by the end of the chapter makes it interesting to experiment with some colours and drawing techniques so I figured that it's good to give it a shot.

Nonetheless, I enhanced the mood of the scenes which centered on Nightfall, and I believe it looks amazing, actually.

I even added some sentences extracted from the english manga to finish it up. They are done in the style of the usual english captions you see on Youtube; for instance. So in the end, the feel of this work is leaning towards a "k-drama" feel to me. I hope this feel reaches the audience too!

This represents Nightfall's monologue so none of these sentences were spoken out. Yes, I also imagined a background music to go along with the scene and it has always been playing in my head endlessly.

Greetings, I'm back! Today's treat is a Yuri and Nightfall's version of the art prompt I found on Instagram.

This felt like some kind of strange multiverse with the timelines gone off, where Yuri from the end of chapter 11 intersects with Nightfall from the end of chapter 30. You can see how both do not belong at the same timeline quite distinctly (Nightfall's background contains rain while Yuri's do not). So, that's about all that I can explain in this work.

Anyhow, I still am anticipating their real interactions in the future though I have no idea when will that be...

128 Park Avenue

Today I'm offering the colourisation for chapters 11 and 30 which I personally think match each other very well as they are taken from the same angle. Coincidental or not, I think it is suitable to match the two scenes into one frame! Hence, I altered another work (the third image attached) which combines both scenes from a different angle.

This work is entitled "128 Park Avenue" as it is the place in the background of the drawings, so it is worth the mention.

I've met another idea! Cannot deny that the only thing that came into my mind was Nightfall from Spy × Family. Her eyes are very well drawn throughout my read on the manga (although I still have to say that everyone's eyes were drawn extremely well and they all look pretty too). So here it is.

Extra: I was thinking of ways to portray the "pretty eyes" and did some drafts along the way. I thought of making a wind that blows on Nightfall, in which will eventually reveal both of her eyes but I figured that it was less accurate afterwards. Here's Nightfall blocking the revelation of her hidden eye!

Greetings to you and before anything else, Happy 5th Year anniversary to Spy × Family!

Just came to notice that today actually marks the 5th year of the release of Spy × Family. Coincidentally, I finished this work today and I suppose I shall make good use of this coincidence and thus, take it as an anniversary gift for the manga itself.

This work pictures the message "Westalis × Ostania" which is fully inspired by the special illustration released previously.

Howl's Moving Castle × Spy × Family

Today I'm back with a collaborated idea that came into my mind recently. I can't help but notice the similar hairstyles between Howl and Yuri as well as Sophie and Nightfall! Hence, here's a spin off of Spy × Family's Yuri and Nightfall in the universe of Howl's Moving Castle.

It is fun to see it in this way, actually. So, I enjoyed making it a lot!

Working Environment (1/2)

Happy International Women's Day! For this special day, I figured that it's a good chance to colourise chapter 30 of the Spy × Family manga which was meant for the introduction to Nightfall.

The reason behind this is that I personally think Nightfall is quite of a role model for young women who work hard. It is not an easy task for her to work in W.I.S.E. but yet she did it rather effortlessly on the surface as a young and elite spy of the agency.

All in all, Nightfall deserves her own spotlight! So here it is. I'm absolutely excited to see how much development is going to turn out on Nightfall in the future chapters. I'm always looking forward to see Nightfall in the manga as well. She is such a cool character!

There will be a part two for this "Working Environment" theme but I'm not sure when it'll be posted yet. I'll be back very shortly.
