Daniel (A star in the face of the sky)

(I have to apologise for two things:

1) I love Spader's Daniel, I've loved his character since I was a kid (still do, oh boy) and I remember being seven or eight and asking my parents to buy me books about Ancient Egypt after watching 1994 Stargate and being completely awestruck by him

2) I adore this design, it's one of the first motifs I used back in 2018 and found out it fitted me, so much so that this piece is the fourth I've drawn in this exact same style, line for line. This is my favourite tho

idk if this is a trope or whatever but i love it so much when fictional characters massively downplay the severity of their injuries but in more of a comedic way than a tragic one. like some guy gets impaled and they just glance down at the shard of metal sticking out of them and say some dumb bullshit like "oh man. that's gonna need some ice." and then pass out while all their friends yell at them for being an unfunny idiot with terrible priorities.

here's a sketch of them reuniting after the 3 months. Daniel tackle hugs him, possibly killing Jack's knees. Not that he would mind in that moment.

Not a good day today emotionally so I channeled it into art.

Have depressed RPG Danny around the time Jack is stuck on Edora. Yes, he's not sleeping anymore. He also never cut his hair and let it grew out again (back to the movie version). The single dogtag he's wearing is actually one of Jacks which he had given Daniel at some point, insisting that he would wear it under his tshirt if he wanted to. Since Daniel believes that Jack doesn't come back he really doesn't care anymore.
