This is something of a sequel to my original essay on being loveless.
It's also a discussion of the ways love is wielded against allo-aros, the a-spec community's ongoing conflation of love and attraction, and the impact allosexual aromanticism has on my lovelessness.
Because too often, unfortunately, I see loveless aromantic identity communicated and celebrated so as to exclude me, and other allosexual aros, from it.
I hope that's something we can begin to change this Aro Week.

Wanted to let you guys know that Let’s Talk Palestine has just launched fundsforgaza, an initiative created for the purpose of spotlighting families in urgent need of emergency funds. This list highlights families who’re trying to evacuate Gaza, but which aren’t getting enough attention. Please donate if you can—and whether or not you can, spread this to as many people as possible. The delay between this second and the next could make a difference in whether a family gets to live or not.

I don't think people truly understand the gravity of Rafah being bombed.
There is nowhere left to go.
The lowest cost is $5,000 USD to flee to Egypt. There has been people paying over $10,000 USD.
That is the only option
Pay or die.
Rafah was the only place in Palestine promised not to be bombed. That promise is broken.
1.5 million people have nowhere to go!
Reminder, if possible, please donate to the PCRF, ANERA, Islamic Relief, Palestine Red Crescent Society, Medical Aid for Palestinians, Defense for Children International - Palestine, Doctors Without Borders, and all other trusted organizations.

I think people need to start seeing love as a neutral emotion. All kinds of love. You can love something, and use that love for good things or bad things. You can love something and do nothing.
Love isn't inherently good. No one is a worse person for not feeling it. No one is a better person for feeling it.

Intersex Awareness Day
What is intersex?
“The term intersex is an umbrella term that refers to people who have one or more of a range of variations in sex characteristics that fall outside of traditional conceptions of male or female bodies. For example, intersex people may have variations in their chromosomes, genitals, or internal organs like testes or ovaries. Some intersex characteristics are identified at birth, while other people may not discover they have intersex traits until puberty or later in life. ” -InterACT
This includes both primary and secondary sex characteristics such as hormones, genitalia, and chromosomes that fall outside of what is typically considered “male” or “female.”
Examples of intersex conditions include CAH (Congenital adrenal hyperplasia), AIS (androgen insensitivity syndrome), Klinfelter Syndrome, and PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome)
Are intersex people trans?
Some intersex people are trans, and some aren’t. Most intersex people are still assigned a gender at birth, and many intersex people who are raised as one gender and then later identify as another gender identify with the label trans. Intersex people can be cis or trans just like any other group of people.
Many intersex people have complicated relationships with gender, and don’t feel like labels like cis or trans really fit their experiences. For this reason, terms like intergender and ipsogender were coined.
Transphobia and intersexism (prejudice against intersex people) often have a lot of overlap as well.
What is intersex activism?
Intersex activism is currently focused mainly on ending unconsenusal surgery at birth on intersex children, and guaranteeing the rights for bodily autonomy for intersex people. Nonconsensual genital mutilation is regularly performed on intersex babies to forcibly assign us a gender at birth. Intersex activists like Pidgeon Pagonis, Sean Saifa Wall, and groups like InterAct are working to get hospitals to end intersex surgery. So far only two hospitals nationwide have come out against intersex surgery, and intersex activism really needs more widespread support. We deserve to live life free from human rights abuses and be able to take agency over what happens to our body and what medical choices we want to make.
What can you do to support intersex people?
Educate yourself! Check out our resources page for a list of links to intersex organizations and information.
Support and build solidarity with the intersex community and activists. We really need allies to boost our voices!
Listen and learn from us, and call out intersexism when you see it.
Celebrate intersex people! Intersex is BEAUTIFUL and we are allowed to be proud!
Happy intersex awareness day!!!

There is still hope. Say it out loud. Palestine will be free. The Palestinian people will celebrate their culture and heritage with each other. We will love and be loved. Do not fall into the trap of despair.

It has been hard for me to talk about how what is going on with Israel and Palestine is affecting me personally, but I grew up in Gaza and most of my family still lives there. My father did not survive the bombings last week and I have not been able to contact my younger sister in days. I am try to being understanding that most people do not have personal connections to what is happening and therefore are justifying their silence, but is heartbreaking to see this misinformation being spread. What’s happening there is a genocide, not a war. It is not antisemitic to support Palestine, it’s not even antiemetic to criticise Israel. There is no grey area or neutrality regarding this, and it is so easy to find resources that will educate you on the subject. It is my people and my home being destroyed so I will never be silent about this, but I please urge everyone to get informed and start speaking up and finding ways they can help.
decolonizepalestine has tons of information on Palestine’s history/propaganda that has been spread throughout the years
UK citizens can email their MP asking for a ceasefire
US citizens can call/email their local government officials asking for a ceasefire
Jewish Voice for Peace also has many resources for ways for US citizens to get involved, including protests
Donate to Palestine Children’s Relief Fund
Donate to Medical Aid for Palestine
Donate to help get food and hygiene kits to Gaza
