The likely hood was they watched each other die and were ripped apart painfully. Lucy Frostblade's bravery in refusing to worship Ankarna is not measured by her friends agreeing to it and that being 'weak', but rather how extraordinary her courage was to refuse and stay dead.

see, the biggest thing i dont get is if the whole point to oisin was to manipulate adaine, he wouldve tried harder. calroy made sure to lather it in THICC to the rocks family and gain their trust. my guy oisin seemed genuinely interested in her at the party, or else what would be the point in making a show of missing your shots in the pingpong table while adaine is running around in the other parts of the house? so yeah, id like to think of it as OP's theory! fingers crossed!

Do we think that Oisin was in on it? Or is it possible that he found out what Kipperlilly was doing and pulled her away, but was just a second too late? With how hard Brennan was trying to sell Oisin as a good guy (Calroy Cruller exists I am aware) it wouldn't surprise me if Oisin was trying to do a good thing in the wrong place at the wrong time.
