i have a weird prediction
it seems, everyone at this point is convinced, or at least betting on the TV in kris' living room being the main villain of chapter three, and the spamton sweepstakes have given us a possible canon name, tenna (like tv antenna)
but like... what if its not? you can probably feel me grabbing the tin foil hat but i promise i have something to say. there is no doubt that the TV or "tenna" will have a big role, but what if there's someone else at play?
the main chapter villains we've seen so far are lancer (kind of), spade king and queen. they're like the species of the spade suit in a deck of cards. king of spades, queen of spades, and lancer refers to himself as "dark jack lancer" in chapter 1, meaning he's the jack of spades. however, we don't see any other darkners LIKE them, like a lot of the clubs and spades cards in the deck are just... missing??
what i mean is that we've seen many of the diamond suit, the ruddins, we've seen many of the heart suit, hathys, and we've seen at least one of the club suit, clover. admittedly clover is an outlier here. the only other kinds of cards we see part from these are well... two, rouxls as the rules card, and jevil as the joker, and well their whole deals are another can of worms for another time
in two chapters already we've had spade villains, and this makes me wonder if we'll have more, like maybe more spades, or more clubs?? technically queen is a computer, not a card, but she's known as "queen solitaire" in the files, which still ties her back into the spade family and keeps with the card theme
who's to say there isn't another spades character that's also tv related in the living room or maybe somewhere else in the house, and being tv related, while still having that card theme, just like queen2
here's my prediction, i think with the tv going to be big part of chapter 3, this new potential character could be their right hand man, and leader to the shadowmen we saw in toby's dev update. the shadowmen are parodying mobster movies, they're all part of a mob, and maybe their leader, is an ace, an ACE of spades.

You know…if Undertale’s Susie grew up in a monster community in the Underground…
…and wasn’t ostracized or made to feel like a bad or scary person…
…she might be very different from our Susie.
She might even be…like this.
“Nice, cute, friendly, sassy” and not weighed down with the traumatic experiences of Deltarune’s much more guarded Susie.
What might it be like if Susie finds out an alternate version of her is so different - maybe even happier?

Wanna know something that I've been thinking about for a while?
The fact that Frisk knew what Asgore sounded like before they ever met him and that Small Shock went both ways.
Provided that The Master of Bullet-hell games isn't controlling Frisk, at some point, they probably died. At least once or twice. Meaning that they got a game over screen, which we all know are Chara's memories of Asgore begging them to stay determined in their final moments. Already super sad and angsty right? But, the thing is, you don't learn about that until you reach the True Lab and watch through all the tapes. You have no idea who the game-over voice belongs to for most of the game. This also means that Frisk has no clue either.
Throughout their journey through the Underground, what if they had sort of grown fond of the voice? It would've been the one constant through everything other than the narration.
This deep, resounding voice, filled with so much warmth and love it's practically bursting with it, implored them to keep going. To face down whatever was in their way because he knew in his soul that they could conquer it. A voice that sounded so much like a passionate father at a timbits soccer game, picking them back up, dusting them off and telling them to "get back in there" after they've fallen. Because he knows better than anyone that they still have some fire left in them.
So?
Whenever they died, they listened to the voice and got right back into the fray. Marching through the Underground with a determination so fierce nothing could match it. Because their choices mattered. They mattered. The voice was right; they were the future of Humans and Monsters. And nothing could stop them. Until they reached the throne room.
High off of Sans' speech, they march straight in with their head held high. But, all at once, their confidence vanishes. Not because they saw Asgore's towering form, with his sturdy curled horns, broad armoured shoulders and flowing cape. No. It's because of the deep humming coming from the imposing figure, the kind hum they felt in their chest. It kind of sounded like... No! It couldn't be. But it is, as revealed when Asgore speaks.
The same fatherly timbre that had insisted that they never surrender belonged to the man that wanted them dead. A man that, when he finally turned around to speak with them, had a face that rhymed with the mother they left behind. A man that stared down at them with just as much fear in his eyes they do because Frisk themself rhymed with a human he knew and loved long, long ago...
Quite a shock, isn't it?

I think eventually we'll get to see/hear Kris talk...but when we do, it'll be when the Red Soul has been taken out.
In Earthbound (which Toby loves) you never hear the character under player control talk. For example, when playing as Jeff...
...Jeff will act as a passably cool silent protagonist, and even though he apparently speaks sometimes (telling the Dr he's his son), we don't hear it.
However, when the player plays as Ness again, you can suddenly hear Jeff speak.
(and he is a little bit pathetic)
In Deltarune, Kris is heard by others speaking occasionally, even though they are habitually quiet.
(such as telling Toriel over the phone about Susie)
And even though Kris is said to smile here...
...their face appears to us as stoic.
It's only when the Red Soul is taken out that we see their facial expressions.
... including their smile.
I believe if Kris had spoken in either scene when the Soul was taken out, we'd have heard it.
And if Kris does talk while the Soul is taken out, we might get to see the finished talk sprites Toby drew up for them.
