Left; 106.9kg, miserable, defeated.
Right; 69 kg, unstoppable.
Two years and so many ups and downs I’ve got whiplash, but Im finally starting to come to terms with and love my body for what it’s always been, and what it’s always done for me.

“Stand Tall, Stand Proud. Know that you are unique and magnificent. You do not need the approval of others.” -Jonathan Lockwood Huie . I’ve spent so much of my life with my head down, trying to stay hidden and invisible to avoid ridicule and torment because of my weight and body. Now that I’ve worked so hard to reach where I am, I refuse to shrink or hide myself away. I am proud of my progress, I’m proud of my body, and I’ll never stop being proud of who I used to be as well, because without being her I wouldn’t be who I am today. 10.20.2014 (330lbs) –> 1.1.2017 (180lbs)

’m reposting because maintenance is a real important part of that first goal and that’s why the “diet” that everyone is trying to get you to buy right now - first of the year - is not going to work. Think long term. Think lifestyle. Do something active everyday and pay attention to portions, sodium, and nutrients in foods. You need nothing more than patience, discipline and your mind. No pills. No diets. With that theory you can notice changes in a few months, but not by the end of the day. Keep a diary (like I consider this - scroll to the bottom and see how I kept myself motivated through this). Together, we can do this thing.

I’ve gained a little bit of the weight back that I worked really hard to lose over this past year and I’ve been feeling pretty bad about it.
I was going through my photos on my phone last night and found the one on the left from high school. The one on the right is from this past summer. Ive lost about 55 pounds over the last couple years (originally 70) and I’m happier and healthier for it. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made, and I’m proud for staying motivated even after gaining weight.
I’m new to the fitblr community and I would love to make some new friends 🙈☺🤗

Hey :-) So I can do what I want but I can't lose weight. I am 85kg and 1.55m. I have been on any healthy diet, I starved so long, I tried so much BUT I just don't lose weight and I hate how I look.. do you have any idea what I can do? ♡
First of all: don't starve yourself!! Try to eat healthy and drink A LOT of water. Count calories but don't eat too little. Don't eat fast food and candy, and if you do eat those things: remember it's not the end of the world and try to not let it affect your motivation and such! Maybe exercise? I'm not good at that but I try to go for walks everyday. This has nothing to do with weight loss, I know, but try to learn to like your body the way it is!That's all the advice I can give you❤️

2016: Year of Dew. Gains made this year: mental, muscle, and much more. 2016 may not have been everyone’s year (I’m sorry), but it did me good. Or rather, I did myself good. On top of kicking ~50lbs to the curb and adopting a whole new eating and active lifestyle, I also:
Got a huge promotion
Moved into my first apartment
Got my license
Bought my first car
2016 kicked a lot of people’s butts this year, but I’m proud to say that I kicked my own ass the hardest. Honestly, I’m looking forward to another year of growth, development, and ass kicking in 2017 (in the best way).

Before: 195lbs
After: 145lbs

Hello I don't know if someone asked you already but how did you lose weight? I'm currently starting again to take care and try to do more sport but I don't where to start or how to stick to my goal without giving up, do you have some tips? :)
Hi! I kick-started the weightloss by going on a VLCD (very low calorie diet) for three weeks. I saw results when I was finished with it, which motivated me to keep on going. I started counting calories and taking pretty long walks often. I barely exercise besides the walking. Anytime I lose my motivation I compare old pictures of me with new ones to see how far I've come! Good luck x
