Left brain: Joker is a very interesting character. Arthur Fleck is a man who suffers from severe depression, and hallucinations. Still, he tries to make the world laugh. But the world keeps torturing him, and he’s finally pushed over the edge. The movie shows how a hopeful Arthur Fleck turns into a madman, the Joker. Joaquin Phoenix is an amazing actor, and I’m sure he’ll do an amazing job at portraying the psychotic man.

People who don’t understand that movies with anti-heroes and villains as the main characters are true drama, never took a drama/film class in their life, don’t understand what catharsis is and don’t like that they can identify more with a depressed antihero than an all mighty hero in a feel good movie.

A/N: I thought I would give this a try, I wanted to start writing regularly besides for school. Since Halloween is coming up this came to me. My first attempt at writing fic related content so it probably sucks, please be nice 😅

Arthur:

You knocked on your neighbor's door hoping he would answer after a few seconds he opens the door

Before he could speak you interup him, "would you like to go to a costume party?" You ask innocently

He looked at you flustered, why were you asking him and what would he even dress up as?

"are you sure you want to go with me?" He asked more to himself

"of course, that's why I'm asking you"

He nods his head slightly "okay then, it's a date" he says almost in a whisper

You hear a knock on the door, rushing to answer it you see Arthur standing in the hallway. "ready when you are"

When you arrive at the party you try to stick together, taking in the scenery

You have been there awhile when Arthur gets up, takes your hand and gently leads you as you dance to the music in the background

Joker:

You were in the car when you asked him to go to the costume party

"will you go to a costume party with me? It's for work" you asked

"darling, I am the party" the words fell off his tongue effortlessly, his hair ruffled in the wind as he continued to drive

"so, is that a yes?" asking innocently not wanting to go by yourself

"it seems I have the perfect costume, I don't even have to change. I could tell some jokes..." he trailed off.

A smile formed on your face "sounds perfect"

When you arrived at the party everyone noticed him as you talked to your coworkers and friends, sending a glance his way

He seemed to be enjoying himself as the night went on, he was telling jokes to anyone who would listen sneaking in a cigarette when no one was looking

You had never seen him like this before, he was singing and dancing to the music that played overhead

"are you having fun?" you ask

"ooh, I'm just getting started" he cooed pulling you in closer not caring if anyone was looking

"we can have some fun tonight" and with that he pulled you into a playful dance

One thing I'm loving about the fandom right now.

Is that I'm not seeing many, if any people shitting on or trying to compete Heath Ledger or Joaquin Phoenix together.

It seems that the general opinion is:

"Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix are both fucking legends".

And seeing that the both of them are being treated as equal kings of the Joker role makes my day.
